Fantastic lesson from Kevin Stubbs. Couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to fly fishing.

My 11 and 13 year olds had a terrific time on the Guadalupe learning the basics of fly fishing with Kevin. He is patient, thorough and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this company!

A wonderful trip with an experienced and enjoyable guide! I booked a 1/2 day guide trip for two and we were not disappointed! We were both inexperienced with fly fishing, but Kevin did an excellent job teaching and coaching us throughout the morning. Although it wasnt the best time of year for trout, we did catch a ton of Sunfish and Bass! We will definitely be signing up for another excursion in the future.

I grew up coastal fishing with my father for as long as i could remember, then took15 years off due to school and work. I could not believe it had been so long and wanted to try something different. My wife and daughter in law gave my son in law and me fly fishing lessons for a Christmas gift. We met with Kevin last Sunday for our lesson. He is an excellent teacher and taught us so much about the sport. He is very patient and keeps working with you until you get it right. He makes it fun and relaxing to learn. My Boyfriend and I had a fishing lesson with Kevin at 9 AM this morning in New Braunfels Texas and it was the most enjoyable, relaxing and informative session!! He was patient and so willing to help us understand different aspects of the sport. He did as very good about practicing safe & social distancing and sanitizing which we were initially concerned about. We very much appreciated that!!I am beyond excited and can’t wait to start practicing!! Just turned 60 and something I’ve always wanted to learn!! My father-in-law and I signed up for a two hour fly fishing lesson with Expedition Outfitters and it was worth every penny. Kevin did a great job explaining proper casting technique and provided hands on professional coaching on the Guadalupe River. I would recommend this lesson to anyone that is thinking of getting into the sport.

Was about to book a trip with them but discovered that they can cancel your trip at any time for any reason and not refund your deposit. What a horrible way to do business. People like this shouldn’t be rewarded. Read the fine print and search the web for experiences with these criminals before booking.

We just had fly fishing lessons with Kevin and it was absolutely wonderful. He was very informative, helpful and patient with 2 women that do not have much experience with fishing. We both feel ready for our future fly fishing trips in Colorado. Thanks so much Kevin for all of your help. It was a privilege to have someone so experienced teaching us.

Kevin is an excellent fly-fishing guide and instructor He is patient and informative. You can tell he genuinely enjoys sharing his knowledge with his clients. I would highly recommend him for anyone looking to get into fly-fishing or any experienced anglers who want to improve and enhance their knowledge and have fun in the process.

The owner, Kevin Stubbs, is very rude. After our bank flagged the charge as fraudulent (of which we spoke with them immediately after and okayed the charge), I attempted to book our trip with Mr. Stubbs. He called me back and said the fraudulent report caused him a lot of trouble and he “would honestly rather not deal with us at all”. I told him it was a mistake and we cleared it with the bank, but Mr. Stubbs told me that if he took us at all, he would have to charge us additional money for his trouble. Very very rude and unprofessional person.

Doesn’t refund deposits after he cancels the trip. Says you need trip insurance....not the right way to treat people

Devils River - I was kayaking on the river and Expedition Outfitters bailed me out of some trouble. Kevin was super friendly and helpful. I would recommend them on a river adventure!
