I went to Gregs automotive with the request to swap over springs from my old shock absorbers to the new ones and pull a stuck metal sleeve from one of the control arm ball joints. I rarely go to mechanics as I typically dont trust other people work on my cars (I had multiple bad experiences in the past). However, Greg did an amazing job, he accurately positioned the springs exactly how I needed them and removed the stuck metal sleeve without damaging it. He was quick too and charged me less than half of what other shops quoted me. I would recommend Gregs Automotive to anyone.P.S. There was a real first gen GT 500 at his shop.

I took my car to Greg because we had heard how reliable he was from friends and family. We took our vehicle to Greg for an electrical issue that was causing the AC compressor to cut in and out. We left the car with Greg, there was very little communication after that. He ends up telling me “he couldn’t find anything wrong with the electrical.” He charged me 800 dollars for replacing motor mounts that were worn which wasn’t even the reason I was there.Overall it was a bad experience and we are still without a/c in the middle of a south Texas summer. I wouldn’t recommend this company.

Greg is always very kind and takes time to explain what repairs need to be done. He is very trustworthy and honest. Its such a relief to have a shop like his to feel confident in that he is not trying to just get unnecessary business.

Greg is a very honest and upfront person. Absolutely knows his stuff, and works with others that know theirs. I only went in for an inspection on a large vehical but deffinitly will bring my car there should it have issues.Quick service at the desk and a central location in New Braunfels thats easy to find and relatively easy to park at. Greg gladly explained everything I would need to know about any issues with my vehical, and was patient with any further questions I had. He also gladly gave his insight about various aspects of the auto-repair circle. Great place.

Honestly, professionalism Gres is a man of integrity prices are fair workmanship is much Quality I have faith and confidence in all of Gregs Mechanics and refer others that I know if there is something that Greg or his mechanics or unable to do he will let you know and if he can refer you he will. Gregs has work on several other cars I own and will continue to bring my vehicles to his Auto shop. Greg and his wife are Great people approachable honest and people of integrity. I rest in his workmanship and his mechanics as well. Greg is a highly skilled Certified Mechanic feel at rest because I know my cars are and will run just find you when you have people such as Greg I dont mind spending the money. As it is said you do get what you pay for. I did and awesome shop and Awesome Mechanics.

I visited for the first time this morning. Greg dropped everything to replace a damaged windshield wiper arm for me. On top of that he didn’t charge me for his time while I was perfectly willing to pay for his valuable service. It is truly comforting that some businessmen still care and aren’t out to gouge someone. Greg has gained a new patron. My vehicles will now be serviced by Greg’s. Thank you, you’re the best!

Does great work! He is great at keeping his word. What ever he fixes I dont have issues with and dont get the this is broke too or needs to be fixed speech from him like a sales man. You get what you pay for here. Im very picky about who touches my car and I trust him with my cars. Very up front person!

So I had an awful experience yesterday with the owner Greg and some of his employees. I’m new to NB and I was next door at the thrift store. I parked in the lot that belongs to Greg’s Automotive. I didn’t realize that until I came out of the store and my Car had been purposely blocked in. So as I proceeded to Greg’s to see who had blocked ed me in, I was confronted by Greg himself. I had apologized letting him know that I didn’t realize it was a private parking lot only for his business. Even after apologizing he straight out told me that he blocked me in on purpose and that he would move his truck when he was good and ready! He also proceeded to talk to me in an demeaning manner. I guess because I was a women and I was alone he thought he could be belligerent and speak to me in any manner while one of his employees stood there laughing at the way he was speaking to me. I was just disgusted on how he literally just had no respect for women. Then after he moved his truck I just sat in my car in shock with what had just gone down. As I’m sitting there in my car, he had an employee of his come out and take pictures of my car and my license plate. Now they were just looking for a fight. All I was doing was calming down and taking a deep breath before I got on the road. He literally had me shooken up by the way he spoke to me. Who owns a business and acts like that! Things could have been handled in a different manner. They took it was too far. The most unprofessional people that I have ever met! Shame on them for harassing a women who was alone!

Been using Gregs Automotive for our car repairs for over 20 years, which should be enough proof of the great job they do... Appreciate his work ethic.

Beware, make sure you ask how much Greg is going to charge for labor. My mother was quoted $600 to replace an AC clutch. When she went to pick it up the charge was $900. When asked how labor was so much he said he paid 2 mechanics to work on the car at the same time. Go figure....
