PAINT Nail Bar Nashville has the best staff around. The vibe is very positive and energetic. The training the staff receives is superior to other salons. (Licensed pro myself) These girls can do nail art that no others can!PAINT does have a cancellation & late policy that is made aware during booking your services. This is to protect the staff’s time and paycheck. This policy is no different than doctors offices have. As long as you make sure you allow time for Green Hills traffic & parking in the garage to arrive to your appointment on time, there will be no issues. This salon only uses the cleanest nail and skin products on the market and since these products are higher quality they last much longer than other nail salons. They also have cute accessories you can purchase that you won’t find anywhere else.PAINT has other vendors come in frequently as well, which most nail salons don’t do. They provide a “community” rather than a quick in/out “quickie” service like everywhere else. This salon makes you feel like you’re family from the moment you walk in the door and even after you leave! This is a great place to go and relax, but it’s also a great place to go and have fun! They cater to the experience you want! They’ll match your energy.Try PAINT out, you’ll love it!
Best nail salon experience I’ve had! I had Tristan, and she was so fun and easy to talk to and did an amazing job with my nails. The environment is fun, laid back and welcoming. They have a variety of services, very professional and at a reasonable price! Everyone I had the pleasure of interacting with was awesome. I will definitely be back!
I really wanted to love this place!! Everyone was so so nice, and the staff knew what they were doing. But I’m so disappointed because my nail polish from just yesterday is already chipping - and I haven’t worked out or done anything crazy with my hands. I don’t know if it’s the nail polish/application/etc. but I probably won’t spend more here. But again, the staff was so awesome and place was beautiful!
They really should focus on quality customer service. I never really have a great experience there. Some nail technicians are great but overall....I dont recommend. For the price you pay, you can at least be greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. Most of them walk around as if they hate being there and it shows. Just bad vibes and energy. Also, youll have to call at least twice to ensure your appointment is scheduled correctly or canceled. Its happen twice where I canceled and appointment by phone and in fact it wasnt canceled.
I am loving this place! They really helped me when The Gulch Nail Bar had over charged me for my dip/tip set of nails- by the way The Gulch will also tell you they are healthy- that’s not true!Paint Nail Bar uses vegan nail polish, and they also do art. Their bowls are also the most sanitary and they use new/sanitized tools every time! The atmosphere is inviting and fun ... and I am just impressed overall!Highly recommend 💕💕
My wife and I had our treatment done by Sally and Kelly. This was my first pedicure. Awesome experience and will definitely be back. Locale is awesome - v modern but cozy. Staff are super friendly. Everything is non-toxic. Highly recommend.
Im thrilled with my nail health, as well as the range of styles I can achieve, since patronizing PAINT. Regular gel polish used to cause my nails to break off as soon as I got them long enough for my taste, but the non-toxic gellish brands they carry (particularly as part of gel overlay service) dont do do that. I have not seen the same nail artist twice, and have received almost universally excellent service and attention to detail.
Like a lot of other reviews say, I really wanted to love this place. I appreciate the non toxic nail products and clean environment. I booked a couple weeks in advance to get my nails done for my college graduation and I wanted to splurge a bit since it is a bit expensive. I got a gel overlay to strengthen my nails since they were already the length I wanted them. When I booked I tried to add nail art but I couldn’t figure out how to do it and forgot to call the salon to add it on (my fault). Anyways I got a call the day before my appt to confirm it and I asked if there was any way I could do a super simple nail design and the lady told me my tech wouldn’t have time to it to which I replied that I totally understood. I asked if there was any possible way she could just do a French manicure because it doesn’t take very long and explained that it was for my graduation and I really was hoping to get some sort of nail art. She told me that since it’s technically nail art the answer was still no. That was fine and it was my fault it but I was still a little bit bummed. When I went in for my appt though the salon was pretty empty and by the time I was done it was still empty. I didn’t say anything about the nail art since I had already been told no on the phone twice the day before. Maybe I should have asked about getting French tips when I went in but I didn’t since I knew the answer would likely be no once again. I just felt like they could have worked with me to be able to do something especially because it seemed like there was time at the end of the appt for a quick design and I would have happily paid extra for it! I thought the application was flawless and the nails looked beautiful but ultimately I ended up walking out with something I didn’t really want for graduation. With that being said I wasn’t going to write a review and was just going to blow this situation over but my nails have started lifting at the cuticle a week after getting them done which I am super disappointed by and have not experienced before at other salons. I probably would have overlooked each of these situations individually, but the way it all happened just rubbed me the wrong way.
I received the gelX treatment with Chrystal and she was so amazing! The atmosphere is pleasant but the staff is really where it’s at! She also did my uptown pedi and my feet feel like butter. Worth every penny and such a treat. Thank you ladies for providing me with TOP NOTCH service, laughs, and a good time!If you’re reading this- ignore these negative Nancy comments and treat yourself!
Great Experience! My husband and I came in from NC for a wedding and I needed my nails done. YaSheaka was very welcoming and played the best music! I got a gel manicure from Cindy and her attention to detail was on point! This was the best gel manicure I have ever had. Thanks again ladies! If I am in Nashville again, I will be coming back!!
DO NOT GO HERE!!! I went to get my nails done with a friend last weekend and had a horrible experience. Due to traffic and limited parking in the parking deck we were 10mins late to our appointment. They called to confirm and we apologize but told them we would be late due to the situation. When we arrived to the nail salon the staff was extremely rude, I showed my nail artist a picture of the nails I wanted (keep in mind very simple, I asked for a French style nail with colorful tip and an a simple design) she aggressively told me that she did not have time for that and to show her a different nail design. Also I went on a Saturday and there were only 3 people in the nail solon... that should have been a red flag. The entire appointment was horrible and not relaxing at all. I haven’t even had my nails for a week and 2 have already chipped.
Update: The Owner never reached out to me at all.Update: No communication as of yet from the salon owner. My bank notified me that Paint Nail Bar deducted $90 + $30 for services. This salon is a joke.I will update my review once I speak to the owner. As reading other reviews, it shows that clients have been 20-30mins late for appointments and still received a service. I was 15-20mins behind being that I am a mom rushing to drop my kids off at a weekend daycare center and make it to the appointment, I had no empathy and was charged for no services rendered.I communicated with the salon before I was even late that I was running behind and I gave them an ETA. Coming from Murfreesboro, it happened to be traffic on a Saturday. Not their fault... but there was no understanding that my appointment would be canceled completely. After 10 minutes, I accidentally according to the assistant manager was marked as a no show and my appointment canceled. We are in a pandemic, true but if this business model is only about revenue and not actually building a rapport with new clients, especially mothers like myself that may have emergencies arise, then please consider other options.I read the reviews before booking and was skeptical but didn’t take them all to heart seeing that the owner is human and nothing or no one is perfect (screaming toddler review) but if there is grace to be given to the owner for her shortcomings, is there no grace left for unforeseen circumstances in others such as myself who 1. Communicated with the salon my ETA 2. Was led on in text messages and phone conversations with them that my appointment was still existing despite my unforeseen tardiness. Also, if it is mentioned that I arrived much after, that is ONLY because I received an email from the salon that my appointment was canceled after 10 minutes and when attempting to contact the salon several times by phone, no answer and directed to send a text message.I look forward to speaking with the owner to discuss my experience if my patronage is a priority to your company. Thank you
Great service, friendly staff
Really cute interior. I wanted to love my manicure but the technician was quite rough with my nails and cuticles causing me to bleed a couple of times. Didn’t feel like enough attention was paid to my cuticles and surrounding skin, and there was some nail polish on my skin I had to pick off after the appointment. Honestly, felt the service was inadequate for the steep price as I felt the manicure was nothing remarkable. Probably won’t come back due to high price and average/subpar manicure.
I hate to leave a negative review but I have to share my experience and how poorly it was handled by management when I expressed my concerns about the quality of the services that I had received.I drove from Franklin, and was extremely excited to try this salon since they offered healthier, less toxic nail polishes. I also had high expectations considering the location of the salon in Green Hills, and all of the positive reviews online. The salon itself was clean, quiet, and relaxing. Both of my nail technicians were very friendly. However, the services themselves were extremely disappointing. Chrystal did my manicure, and she was extremely rough with my cuticles, causing two of them to bleed (and were extremely painful for next several days). She also filed down my thumb nails, scratching and thinning the top of my natural nails (unclear as to why??). Ashley did my pedicure, and while she was extremely sweet, when I looked at the soles of my feet a day or two later, I noticed that they had dry flaky, rough, patchy looking skin. I couldnt tell if it was just dry skin or if I had developed some sort of fungal infection from visiting the salon (pictures attached). When I called the salon to express my concerns (even sent pictures as requested), the manager I spoke with placed all blame on me, saying that it was my skin reacting probably due to not having a pedicure in a long time (and actually, I had received a pedicure a few weeks prior, and have never previously had these issues!), and she mentioned that they do not use metal foot files/callus removers due to sanitary reasons (they did use single-use disposable foot file stickers). While I appreciate the sanitation of using the disposable files, they are useless if they are unable to remove simple dry/dead skin. The management did not offer any sort of apology, credit, or even a follow-up correction service. Instead, I was left with blame and to feel shame that my skin reacted poorly due to not getting frequent enough pedicures. I have never had such a horrible experience from any nail salon! This is unacceptable and should not occur, especially after spending $75+ at the salon. I was very disappointed with the services, and the poor handling by management. I absolutely do not recommend wasting your time or money at this salon.
I booked a service was told I couldn’t due what I requested because they didn’t think my nails where health enough to do gel-x! Told me to do a gel manicure with some 3 step treatment process that’s not what I wanted or what I requested! I should’ve gotten what I ask for and booked since I’m the paying for it! Well instead I got to pay 90 dollars for absolutely nothing when I showed up on time and I was told that they couldn’t do what I wanted!
LOVED my experience at PAINT. The staff was so personable and the facility was immaculate. I have a terrible cuticle picking problem and they made my hands look great. I felt comfortable the whole time and did not feel judged based on the condition of my nails. Would absolutely recommend and will definitely return!
I went to Paint today and got an Uptown Girl manicure. The location for Paint is in a great location inside the Vertis building in Green Hills. When I arrived I was greeted, offered a beverage, and shown to the polishes. My tech was detail oriented, friendly, and easy to talk to. Overall my experience was excellent. I will definitely be back for my next manicure and pedicure.
Overall, I cant say that this was a good experience. Due to the rain and a crying toddler at home, I came about 10-15 late to my appointment, and was greeted rudely at the desk. Even before asking how I am or welcoming me, they told me I wouldnt get the service I paid for because I was late, in a rude way. I apologized and said okay, and sat down. The girl who worked with me didnt introduce herself, asked how I was and just started working. I asked for a mimosa and my request was ignored until I had to ask again 15 minutes later. For the 60 minutes I was there, the owners toddler was throwing tantrums and crawling around the place. Mind you, I have a toddler at home who often cries and I expect a relaxing, positive experience when I pay 90 dollars for a 50 minute experience. It was nothing of that. While checking out, they did charge me for the massage and the thing I booked for, even though I didnt get it. I paid an extra 20 dollars for a service they didnt provide, because apparently they could have booked someone else before me for that missing time. But interestingly, my friend who arrived before me said the girl who did my nails was just sitting and chatting there the whole time before I got there.Would not recommend.
I always have such a great experience at PAINT! The techs are always professional & friendly. The Dazzle Dry is my go to polish for my pedicures. Also, make sure to check out their jewelry and other accessories, I get compliments every time I wear something from there!
Wanted to love this place for the cleaner products they use and the lovely atmosphere, but during the hour I was there I got pretty bare minimum of service for the $40+ spent. The nail technician was sweet, but did no treatment before cutting my cuticles so they’re now dry and cracking, she didn’t shape my nails at all, and applied no lotion or scrub or hot towel after the polish. My last round of gel polish was applied and I was sent on my way. The staff seemed sweet, but my nails look just OK and there was zero skin treatment, which is one of the big reasons I get manicures. Overall it was an underwhelming experience and I left a bit disappointed. Great concept and sweet staff! Just not great execution.
I love the fact that the products are natural and the space is pretty and airy. However, we had a large party with reservations and it seemed like they were clueless as to what was happening. I also heard a technician gossip about her customer which is just poor taste. Additionally, I didnt receive my full service since my technician forgot to do a portion of it and she didn’t go back and do it or adjust the price. The actual services were less than spectacular as well, Id say the manicure and pedicure were average. Just a rough experience overall.UPDATE: I received a phone call from Caitlin apologizing but on the call we discussed a couple places we were overcharged and I was told I would receive a call back and a refund. That was weeks ago, no word on the refund. Save yourself the headache.UPDATE #2: Their response to my initial review stated a refund was given. We were overcharged in two places and one was refunded. A phone call was supposed to made to follow up on the second overcharge and that never happened and was never refunded. We were charged for the premium manicure when all that was scheduled and all that was completed, was the most basic manicure. This is a $40 or $45 difference.
I tried PAINT yesterday for the first time and wanted to really like this place. I love the idea of less harmful nail colors and a cute and chic environment. I really wish my experience did not leave me with a big question mark. I got the Talk of the Town manicure and gel add on. I hardly had any cuticle work done, my polish looks like it has been on for at least a week and already grown out, the sugar scrub was only put on the back of my hand, and I never got a massage like advertised on their website. When checking out, they asked me what I wanted to tip my person, but never gave me how much I was spending. Ended up they told me I owed $20 more than what I was charged and I tipped wayyyyy too much since the amount was incorrect. She was good, but did not earn a 30% tip. And the last thing that really made me a tad irritated was it took an hour and a half to just do my nails. A lady came in for a pedicure 15 minutes after me and she was done before me. I walked away thinking Ill never go back there again. Too expensive for nails that look like theyve grown out for over a week.
I felt like I was at a spa, not a dingy run down nail salon like so many of the other nail salons. The staff was all friendly and welcoming. Kaitlin the owner offered me a mimosa when I walked in, she was so sweet. I got a gel manicure and splurged for the upgraded pedicure. If you’ve never had a paraffin foot treatment, I highly recommend it. I will definitely be going back.
Great first experience. PAINT nail bar just opened in Green Hills-grand opening was today, and it’s a much needed addition to the nail scene in Nashville. At first I was skeptical-how different can a nail salon be? But this was a really refreshing change. Two big things that set PAINT apart for me. 1) Smell. I know this sounds really silly, but the chemical smell at almost every nail salon I’ve ever been too is just awful. Totally ruins the zen / pampering experience. PAINT’s total lack of chemical smell is what makes it amazing. I didn’t notice until I went to the bathroom and came back bracing myself for the fumes. Nada. Five stars just for that. 2) chemical free polish. As someone who is pretty cognizant of the chemicals in my beauty regimen, I loved finding a place that offered chemical free options. I didn’t do gel, but in the normal polish options there are 10-free, 8-free and 5-free (numbers referring to the number of typical harsh chemicals found in polish that are excluded) lines. The owner, Caitlin, was super helpful in explaining all of the options and how they differed. As a chemical hating, pedicure junkie, I’m super excited to have this new gem 💎! See ya in two weeks PAINT!
I was excited to try their “better” gel nail polish, since in the past my nails have become thin and dry. The space is beautiful, and the music was good (something for everyone). My manicure took longer than normal - but it was because my technician Ally wanted to get it right (there was extra dust/ lint in the air due to construction in the building that wanted to stick in my polish). She was very detailed in her work, and did a GREAT job! Also, the receptionist/ host was so nice! Check me in, explained the polishes to me, offered me a drink, and even came back while I was getting my nails done to ask if I needed anything. Probably one of the best manicures I have ever gotten!
Wonderful staff and services. The owners are excellent and run a terrific nail salon.
I usually only splurge on manicures on very special occasions - at most once a year. Was so excited to try PAINT non-toxic nail salon in Green Hills and was not disappointed. Due to a little cuticle accident, I had to come back to have one of my nails finished. Both the nail technician and the owner were lovely, apologetic and kind about what happened. Now I have a gorgeous gel manicure for my mini-vacation! Ill definitely be a repeat customer!
I went to Paint for a gel manicure and an Uptown Girl pedicure. The services were well priced and well done. My nail tech, Demetria, was friendly and did an exceptional job. I look forward to my next appointment!
Please be aware that they require a credit card to book any service and will charge the service plus 20% if you cancel before 24 hours. I go to many high end spas and have never heard of any place putting your credit card on file and requesting that card number OVER the phone for a simple pedicure booking. Not even the Waldorf Astoria! I’ve literally never encountered this for any appointment I’ve made in any field, especially for a nail tech. This made me very uncomfortable, I’m not just giving out my card number. It also took me a few phone calls to get anyone to answer (I tried a few days ago), so I’d be concerned with even being able to cancel an appointment if needed and not losing my money. I will be going to the Green Hills Nail Spa instead.
I was treated to a early birthday present today. I truly loved the experience. I will be back on a regular basis.
I hate leaving a bad review, but I was really unnerved by my and my friend’s experience. I normally get my nails done closer to home where it’s cheaper and you get more for your money and my nails always look great, but my friend and I wanted to spend the day in Greenhills so we chose this place. I arrived before my friend and wanted to wait so we could have our mani/pedi’s done at the same, but was coldly told that I needed to start without her. If I hadn’t started my pedicure before my friend’s arrival, I would have been denied the full service (but still charged for it). I didn’t want the extra charge so I went ahead and started without my friend. The staff was very cold and acted like they didn’t want to be there. I felt like I was a nuisance and was really uncomfortable. My friend got there and they told her she would be charged for the full service but they wouldn’t actually do the whole service she had booked. We had booked an hour and 45 minutes, so we should have been done around 11:30 but it wasn’t even 11:00 when we left. They could have probably done the full service my friend paid for.The service (uptown girl) was pretty scanty for what we paid for. The place I normally go to in Bellevue gives a much better luxury pedicure and is cheaper. To top it off, the owner’s toddler was screaming and crawling all over the floor and it made it difficult to relax and enjoy what little service We got.
I’ve been a regular since finding PAINT a few months ago. All of the nail techs I’ve worked with have been fabulous and the gel manicures last for 3 weeks with no chips and are flawless. However, I’ve been trying to get in touch with them to change an appointment and it’s been impossible. Every time i call, it goes to voicemail. I’ve left voice messages and never heard anything until texting them. It’s been extremely frustrating especially since they charge you if you cancel less than 24 hours in advanced. I really hate leaving a negative review for a place that has previously been nothing short of excellent to me but the lack of communication is having me consider finding a different salon.
Really lovely nail spot. I’m just a basic mani-pedi person, so I can’t speak to nail art/acrylics, but the staff is absolutely lovely and the space is very relaxing.
Excellent service, fast and friendly staff, and Coby and Evan did a awesome job on me and my friends nails. Highly recommended!!! Thanks Coby and Evan
My 1st visit wont be my last - Gizelle was excellent! I was pampered, and walked out relaxed, and with an A+ manicure!
Ally was amazing!! Sculpted gel is the way to go!! Last 3 weeks no chipping!!
Amazing spot..
