As a follow-up to my review and the inaccurate response bt the club I decided to take some pics. Secondly, you will notice the reply mentioned nothing about the tanning bed lights not being changed. I asked again today, 02/27/19 and which brought about a look of deas, frowns and finally the answer of I dont know, it has been a long time.Member of 3 days.....Broken/worn equipment. Broken/missing locker doors. Was told today that Tanning bed lights havent been changed in 2 years. Had I known these things I would have gone to Planet Fitness or another gym.

I really enjoyed this place twos yrs ago but the last 9 months it’s gone completely down hill. Broke equipment everywhere and as far as cleanliness it’s not. It’s not an attractive place anymore. When close the theater doors it smells like mildew. I’m a serious lifter and I pay my dues and my maintenance fee twice a yr. I’d like to see the owners do something to redeem a place that was once a great gym a great place to workout. Things need to change ASAP

Finally cancelled my membership and off to a better and improved gym. NAC has lots of equipment but they are very very old and most of the machines are not smooth. The carpet has never been changed, when you walk in it has a very unpleasant stench odor smell, especially the back area. Maintenance/cleanliness is not their number one concern so you’ll find dirty mirrors/ walls/ and weights laying around. The smell of cheap and stingy ownership is there. NAC was convenient but poor service all around.

Im grateful that they are open again and they are making everyone wear mask but, what are the employees doing? The are not cleaning and disinfecting as they should at times there are 3 people there sitting behind the desk playing on phones or chit chatting with each other. No I have not seen then do $#@&! The was a wash cloth on the floor in the locker rm for 3 days! If they are cleaning and disinfecting Im pretty sure that cloth would have been picked up. Another day there was some greasy film on the counter it stayed for a week! Please do more to try and keep us all safe!!!!

The staff is nice and friendly, but the facility could be updated. Some of the equipment is old and the building is not well kept

I understand that everyone is doing their best right now but to offer no pause on payments or delay of membership for people who are high risk when it comes to covid-19 Is unacceptable. Every other gym I spoke with has a pause option except this one. I guess we just chose the wrong gym when we signed up earlier this year. They have been rude/hostile on the phone and are asking that their customers pay a monthly pause fee during this time if they don’t want to pay the full monthly fee. We can not go to the gym during this time due to health concerns and gyms being high risk places. In a time when money is tight for many, this gym is showing its customers how little they care.There are many gym options in this city, don’t bother with this one.

I was in town for a few days and came here to get a workout in. The gym is very large and offers a lot of equipment. However, it is rather dirty and not well kept. The overall appearance felt dirty and tacky. If you need a quick pump, it’s worth it; but if you’re looking for a place to invest in a membership with, I would choose elsewhere.

A gym where people actually work out ... imagine that! Large space, including machine circuit, free weights, cardio cinema, and some class offerings. Due to prior injury, has access to only type of cardio equipment that I can use pain-free (low-seated exercise bikes) - hoping the ones in the main room are updated soon!

Roof leaks so bad it rains in building. All machines are old and dont work. Staff is rude and overcharges.and must sign contact and never get reminders. If dont cancel 60 days prior they have right to charge you for 2 extra months.

Takes them forever to fix the equipments. Takes them 3 weeks change a light bolt in sauna room. Took them 3 months to change the flooring in sauna room. All it is plywood. People at the front just stared at their phone all the time. One time in shower, I saw small red worms crawling all over. 3/10 members dont wash their hands after using the restroom. Worste of all, Just found out few of the members at the gym got the covid19.

Been a member for over 5 months now and I must say I really enjoy this gym. The staff is super nice and extremely helpful. It’s never overcrowded. Always clean. 5 stars.

Terrible place. No one ever answers phone. Equipment always broke. Ac never works. They never want to give basketballs out. To cancel membership you have to cut you arm off and show them you can’t workout or else they won’t do it. And still bill you later on. Keep your good money and go to planet fitness over this wack joint. I use to love it but it went down hill

I’ve been a member for almost three years now. This gym is incredible. Even during peak times, I’m able to get in a great WO.

This is the best gym I have been too. It may not be the cleanest but this place has everything you need and plenty of it. Its a real gym that allows anyone to carry around gallon jugs of water, wear any kind of tank top, and you can slam waits without having an alarm set off.

Even though I understand the hrs. If the ppl the clean the gym show up early and the trainers show up early. They actually pick and choose who they let in. I’m here at 3:46 am with a cpl other cats / members that show up early as well. If your lucky and there in a good mood you will get in if not you just wait. I watched a trainer let someone in after he told me no. And now it’s clear that there working out. Yup this is great customer service.

I’m trying to figure out where the membership fees go in this place. Some equipment is pretty rough around the edges and could be replaced. Does anyone know when the a/c will come on.. I’m assuming winter. Has everything you could ask for in a gym but should be maintained better.

I really enjoy this gym! Only reasons I dont give it 5 stars are the fairly limited weekend hours, lack of clips for free weights on barbells, and restroom/locker room is only about average as far as quality and upkeep. As far as a good place to get any kind of workout in that you want, this is the place!

It might be the best gym in Nashville but... management will treat you like s....t. I dont cancel the membership just because theres no other good gyms in the area.

Like a few others said NAC are crooks. I cant sign up after moving back to Nashville because they keep charging a membership I canceled 5 yrs ago. They told me the only way is paying almost $1,500 to be able to sign up. They just said that nobody could do anything about it. And yes... again like a few others said, the asian manager & the dark compression skin guy with long hair will talk to you like your stupid & have an attitude. Go to Golds Gym, I got a deal buy 1 get 2 years, family plan, all except tanning included, 5 members for $800.00. Money was not the problem, I just didnt want to give them $1,500 for no reason. After all, I do have something good to say, it is the best gym in Nashville, its just management & the system they use or whoever is canceling dont know what they are doing & keep charging canceled accounts. Its always been like that I went to this gym for almost 10 yrs. 😬

Customer service skills are horrible the manager Cindy McDonald is the worst verbally abusive and then tells you to take it up with corporate. I sent my cancellation email and got charge for two more months, I had not physically been to the gym in two months and they still charged me told me it was my mistake that I should have came in person and canceled unless I have the email she will not refund me anything to take it up with corporate I do not recommend this gym to anyone everyone there is a puppet because corporate is the only one that solves anything Apparently

CURRENTLY THERE FOR 7 MONTHS NOW, I LOVE EVERYTHING ESPECIALLY THE FRIENDLY PEOPLE N REAL FITNESS EDUCATED AND DISCIPLINED PEOPLE. IVE REACHED GOALS THANKS TO THE POSITIVE ATMOSPHERE AND AWESOME STAFF.

Finally, a gym I can work out at where it doesnt feel like Im in a modeling competition.

I enjoy this place. It does have a basketball court so that won me over. People here are definitely there to work out.

Great Place to workout! Being there are no LA Fitness locations I had to find a place and Im glad I chose this gym! Ive seen them make improvements to the facility and you cant beat having a theater room with cardio equipment. Once they have more weight clips and some of the bar handles are torn but those are small things you can look past! Take a Visit!

Super friendly staff, great customer service. This place has everything you need to satisfy your fitness regimen. Reasonable pricing plans, big box gym with cardio theater room, half basketball court, free weights dumbbells to 160#, racquetball, cross-fit setup, multiple bench/squat setups, personal training, circuit training area, sauna, child care options and much more. Even during peak times this place never feels cramped. Also have to give a shout out to Feren whom provided top level customer service and went above and beyond to accommodate my membership needs!!!

In the middle of quarantine due to the pandemic and they are making it nearly impossible to cancel my membership. The only option is to come in person or mail them a written request to cancel. Ill be there to cancel it and wont be back.

Very nice gym. The cardio theater is really good to help you not focus so much on the actual cardio and I tend to go longer as a result. Lots of other equipment and very friendly staff.

I was in town for the weekend and needed some place to workout. I found the place by accident and decided to stop. These guys were awesome! the friendly staff got me set up with a guest pass for the day. I found the facility to be clean and everything was easy to find. I will definately be back!

Every front desk personnel has been helpful and can take care of customers at the same time. I visited their 3 day trial period, and I was impressed. So I decided to join. However, today being that the road conditions are iffy, the phone was ringing a lot with a few customers were waiting to be checked in and needed her attention. I happened to be one of them. This so-called manager decided to pick up the phone calls instead of helping folks at the desk. She said theres only her, etc. Ill give her that she acknowledged my presence, and I told her that I just joined but didnt get a barcode/members Id, okay... So she went to help the couple in front of me.. While I was next, she continued to answer the phone. I expressed to let her know I feel about maybe putting someone on hold. She and I got into it a bit. She now claimed that shes a general manager. See my flow here? To me, she should have taken care of the folks there. To add to this, there was another phone call, which she took and answered their question. There was another guy who just arrived; so she paid attention to him while trying to process my cancellation. I kept on telling her how unfortunate this is and asked for corporate number. Her employees has more customer service skills then she does. Hey Cindy, maybe you can learn from your employees!

Ive been a member here now for almost three months. There is a lot of variety and equipment such as cardio machines and free weights. The gym is not very clean and you can tell they wait a while to repair things. The bathrooms also are not stocked with simple supplies like toilet paper and paper towels. The music that they play is terrible. So I listen to my phone. There is no cell service in the building so I try to connect to WiFi. The wifi is always not working which gives me no choice but to listen to the music the gym is playing. When asking the front desk about the wifi issue they told me that the wifi doesnt work because the building is an old warehouse. It seems to me that the staff does not care about the details of the gym or their members concerns. I like all of the equipment they offer but I am seriously considering finding a new gym that is clean, has updated equipment and has a staff that wants their members to get the best out of their workout routine.

I love you guys. You guys are part of my lifestyle and Ill always remain a member. NAC, FAC and MAC have been a great experience of my life for the lifestyle that I live. Thank you for being there for me.

I had received a four day pass and on my fourth day there was a Caucasian girl who was kicking us out three minutes before 11 saying we had to get out, i told my husband the situation and he thought id be funny to write her a note, telling her that it was rude to be kicking people out. Regardless of the situation we were still highly satisfied, so my husband and I decided that we wanted to join. The next day we went in to sign up and she went off on both of us saying that she was going to teach us a, Life lesson! I immediately asked for our ids and for a managers number and she threw the business card at us and also slapped my water bottle of the counter. I asked her for her name and she said her manger knew who she was. we started walking out the door and she repeatedly continued to say bye and waved for us to get out. I overheard her calling her manager and telling them that the reason that we walked out was because she didnt know how to sign us up together. I work for customer service so just because I leave at 8 doesnt mean Im going to be kicking customers out, I want them to feel welcomed. I still cant believe she treated us that way. overall a GREAT gym! but that girl needs to be fired and never be allowed to work in there again, she obviously doesnt know to handle customer service.

This is the WORST gym. The staff members are super rude. The Asian manager will talk to you like youre stupid and have an attitude. The gym never has a manager present to speak to. I have tried calling numerous times and no one will return the phone call. When you cancel, they dont take you out of the system and will continue to bill you. The Regional Manager Aaron Kirchner is a joke. He never returns phone calls. Do not waste your money at this joke of a business.

Hello all,NAC is amazing. I have worked out at many gyms in Nashville and out of state. The atmosphere is set up to put you in the mindset to work out. Everyone has a determined look in there eyes, with a smile on the side :). Great staff, equipment has improved alot, and there is a ton of it. Even during the busy times, I have been able to ask someone to work in on the equipment they are using- and have never been turned away. IT is not Planet Fitness (where I have seen more lunkheads than anywhere).

NAC is definitely one of the best gyms Ive ever workout in. They recently installed new equipment and the range of free weights is great, definitely something for everyone. The staff is always friendly. The sauna and theatre are amazing as well.The only negative would be some of the music with obscene lyrics. Its ok for individual listening but not for mixed population of men and women. Definitely the place for the serious minded gym goer.

Its not a particularly fancy gym, but its great for those who are really into lifting. It could be a little cleaner. Ive been going about a year, and havent had any big complaints!

This organization is evil. I went in, physically cancelled my membership. They continued to charge me. I found out a year later with over $200 worth of charges. Paid them to settle the debt for a membership they admitted I hadn’t use since the day I cancelled, told me the debt was settled. Then I get a letter from a collections agency.Go to planet fitness. It’s cheaper, and the NAC are crooks.

I really enjoy the gym, a large amount of weights and a good amount of cardio. The cardio theater is a plus. My one complaint (pretty large one to be honest) is the lack of a dedicated stretching area. No matter what workout you are doing, everyone should be stretching. There isnt a foam roller in site, and I counted three mats in the only area that had them. If you want to stretch you have to find a place and complete them awkwardly on the ground. There is definitely space for them to add a stretching area, so i dont know why they dont.

My former room mate and I used to go to the NAC and MAC all the time. We were told when we signed up that our contracts would be up in a year or if we moved. I just opened a letter to my former room mate today from collections - according to them he owes almost $900! And this comes from a 12 month $29.99 agreement he signed? Total BS if you ask me. Nobody has attempted to contact him prior. Ive been a member for almost 18 months, this $900 charge scared me so I called to cancel. Theyre telling me I signed a 36 month contract. Considering Im only in the area for school, I never would have! They said a year when I signed up, and termination of the contract is to pay the remaining 18 months of fees up front. Even if I move they say - even though the person who signed me up claims all I had to do was bring some mail from your new address if you move too far away to go.BEWARE! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST... They dont even have a swimming pool.

Terrible customer service by Brad. As a student they failed to contact me via phone after 3 months to tell me my payment was late letting my debt accumulate without proper notification. I wasnt within 1000 miles of the gym to use it anyways, but they still demand I pay them or they will report it on my credit score. Not to mention their equipment was broken most of the time. I would not recommend this gym.

I havent been a member at the NAC very long but I have been a member of a gym for over 10 yrs now. From my experience this by far the nicest gym that I have been to. Devin and the staff are great. Like some others have stated, this is not the hilton and not filled with fake, eager staff. Instead, they are down to earth people that are willing to help. The gym is super nice, give it a try.

I come down from Louisville, ky, every few weeks to see kiddos and wife while shes in nursing school here in Nashville. I come from a hardcore body building gym in Louisville as well as the Louisville Athletic Clubs up there. This is completely different from the LACs. Has awesome equipment; equipment that is not available at any hardcore gym ive been to much less LAC. Dumbbells exceed 120 which is always a plus. Have seriously considered driving the 3 hours just to get a shoulder workout in. They have an old school lateral raise machine that is no where to be found in any gym ive been to that gives an insane pump. Thanks for great service and a home away from home gym during my visits to Nashville.

I am a long time member and have had a great experience at the NAC. It has many amenities Ive not seen at other clubs. I even wore my NAC hoodie when I visited Chins last year.

I like it there. I wish they would raise the price so that less people would go. Its hard to get on the equipment because its so busy.Showers are good, wide variety of workout equipment.Their cardio movie room is awesome! They have dry sauna and tanning.Overall, the place operates like a chicken with its head cut off. It seems like there is no one in charge. Equipment stays broken for weeks, no one regulates gym etiquette (the rif raf comes in and blasts their music with their portable speakers, for example).This place is a great value for what you pay. I gave it three stars because it is too crowded, its hard to get to equipment, and the place overall has a somewhat dingy feel to it. Its probably the uncomfortably unnatural lighting.Please, raise your prices!

Theyre garbage. The music they play is awful 90s/00s butt rock, and as others have mentioned, the staff is rude. The only reason I work out there is because the local YMCA closed and this was the closest (non-Planet Fitness) option. It has all the necessary equipment, but its not a pleasant environment.

If you want a place to gain mass or lose excessive body fat this is the place to be. Pretty much has every free/machine workout equipment you can imagine.

Overall its a great place to work out, but theyre not open 24 hours. I wish they would stay open late.

Regarding someones prev post- there was once an issue with rude staff and broken equipment but that is not the case anymore. New staff has always been nice and speak to me. Not alot of broken equipment anymore but if it gets used it happens. Most staff tell me they dont even know its broken. I go almost daily for 4 years and have no plans of switching to another gym.

I worked out there for a month while I lived in Nashville. It was ok. I was told I was signing up for a one month membership but then found out they had been billing me for months after I moved away. I called to inquire and was told the only way to cancel my membership now was to mail in a photo copy of my license and proof I dont live in Nashville.
