Red River Waste started missing their scheduled weekly pickup in early May. At first, their office was responsive and picked up trash 4 days late. No-show the 2nd week. Left several messages to cancel service and remove 20 bins from property. Contacted BBB and RRWs corporate office in TX. Going on 3 weeks without any action to remove bins from property. Also, this company does not properly dispose of Recycling even though they charge an additional fee. Watched bins emptied in regular trash.

They were contracted by our hoa for trash pickup. They had random pick up days with no rhyme reason or explanation for changes in schedule, trucks leave trash, oil, etc all over the road alley and driveway, non responsive, poor service and quality, a joke of an organization over all

Received a statement for November, same as every month. No service for 2 weeks. I call and I am told they stopped servicing my area in October. No notice, just gone. The same day I receive an email saying they are collecting empty carts tomorrow...... well the cart has 2 weeks of trash, since no one told me my service ended. Why not send the end of service notice with the statement that I received, or email me me the same way I was emailed about picking up empty carts. Oh and the website, customer portal, still says the account is active. No mention of service ending.....Edit:It took them 2 months to pick up the empty cart that I had, very easily accessible, at the end of my street. It took four phone calls, but they eventually picked them up.Edit 2: looking back, I had put in 3 requests for pickup during the 1 1/2 year I used them. The carts where always on the curb Sunday night, but was not picked up 3 times. I make it a routine, plus I go to work at 6:30 am (before they pick it up), so I could confirm the carts were right at the end of the street. The request to pick it up because they missed the cart was never fulfilled. The cart was just always emptied during the next weeks pickup.

Huntsville City went from weekly recycling to monthly recycling this year, and switched from waste management to red river waste solutions in the process. This company is totally unprofessional and doesnt care at all about how their drivers behave. Our recyclers dump recycling all over the road because their truck is already full by the time they get to our home on their route, and they make no attempt to pick it up, running over it causing explosion noises (sealed 2 liters), so you know they know. Turn around at the end of the street and come back the other way, look straight at the mess they made, and just keep on going anyway. Drivers just sit in the truck on their phone the entire time they are on our street, oblivious to the mess they make.Call the company, tell them whats going on, they offer to send them back out to pick up, but thats it. Dont offer any apologies or remorse or care that their drivers behave this way.Most people have more than one bin worth of recycling in a month, and they make no attempt to pick up excess recycling. They also no longer accept glass bottles or pizza boxes...which just seems ridiculous. All carboard has to be broken down and then also cut down to below a specified size limit, which is smaller than an average Amazon box. Just frustrating to be paying the same amount for less than 1/4 of the service we once got.Update: The route manager stopped by and offered condolences, but said he cant really do anything about the other drivers behavior. So some people care, but that is just not generally the vibe you get from seeing or interacting with this company.

Missed pickups, late pickups, trash littered throughout our neighborhood - this outfit is a joke. They took the lid to my personal trash bin (that I had to purchase due to weeks of missed pickups) and said that since I wasnt at the curb watching,I couldnt prove it was them... So, I had to buy a whole new trash bin...Today they drug my trash bin down the street, drove over part of it and left it there. Yet, for some reason, Mayor Quimby refuses to do anything about it.

This company is a COMPLETE JOKE! DO NOT use them. The charge you for NOT doing what they are paid to do. And FORGET about being able to get in contact with anyone! I’ve been trying to speak with someone for OVER a week. I have left several messages and emails. This so called “company” is a total waste of time and money. We recently cancelled our service (in the greater Nashville area) due to poor trash pick-up service and poor customer service. We had switched to RR when they began servicing our neighborhood because it saved us $15 per quarter. We figured trash pick-up is trash pick-up, and we didnt see any sense paying more for this kind of service. Boy were we wrong.We ultimately cancelled because our trash was not picked up the week of Memorial Day... and then when it was picked up the following week (and we had 2 weeks of trash overflowing out of the trash can), they only took what was in the can. I dont necessarily have an issue with them having a policy of only taking what is in the can (although their competitors are happy to take extra trash sitting outside of the can), but I found it a bit outrageous they wouldnt take the extra trash when they didnt come the week before.Calling their office is impossible. They do not answer the phone, and they do not return calls promptly (if they return them at all). I even called and left messages with folks at their corporate office since those numbers are online, but none of them returned my call. I emailed our local office and finally got a reply that way, but it was full of excuses instead of taking any responsibility for the issues we were facing.We have switched to a competitor and are more than happy to pay a bit more for a company that 1) communicates what to expect to their customers, especially when there is a holiday, 2) is willing to pick up if you have a little extra trash outside of your can (within reason, of course), 3) answers their phone and works to keep their customers satisfied, and 4) actually picks up your trash and doesnt argue with you about it if there is an issue.Im not sure why it doesnt seem like they care that customers are unhappy (as evidenced by the many, many poor reviews online as well as the personal experience we had). If they going to keep conducting business this way, then all I can say is that if you have a choice, DO NOT USE THEM!

I used to sing Red Rivers graces, but no more. I have been waiting for a pickup and have left unanswered messages and my name on a pickup list with someone in billing. Like many of you, I paid way in advance, almost a year, due to the previously great service. Now, I wonder if I will even receive my refund since I cant even get return calls.

I never complain. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! they will not pick up your trash. And when you call and co.plain they simply cancel your service. I paid for monthly service and I am lucky if they picked up once a month. I even tried contacting the corporate manager, nothing happened.

Im only giving Red River one star because the option of rating them at 0 Stars isnt available. RED RIVER WASTE SOLUTIONS IS TERRIBLE! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS TRASH COMPANY. They are considerably cheaper than other trash pick-up companies however thats because they never pick up your trash! Our can has been sitting at the curb for THREE WEEKS with no pick up. We have watched the trash truck drive by our house numerous times without stopping. Weve called several times over the last two years of using Red River to file complaints about lack of pick up and on the occasion that someone actually answers the phone, weve voiced our complaints. However, recently when we called to cancel our service due to weeks of trash sitting at our curb - no one would answer the phone or call back when we left a message. When we finally reached someone, they said they cant fix a problem that theyre not aware of. IF YOUD ANSWER THE PHONE OR CALL ME BACK, YOUD KNOW THERE WAS A PROBLEM. Customer Service at Red River is awful and I wouldnt recommend using them for anything no matter how much cheaper they seem to be compared to other companies. Do yourself a favor and use a more reliable and reputable trash pick up service.

So disappointed in the service. Signed up as new customer 2 years ago. There are frequently missed pick ups. When you call you are unable to speak to anyone. I pay my bill on time and faithfully but they are unable to fulfill their services that have been paid for. I have received a 2 week notice they will no longer servicing my area as of 10/1/19. I have paid by quarterly bill in advance of course and they have not picked up in the past 3 weeks now. I have yet to receive a refund services in which I have already paid for but they were real quick to stop picking up my trash. So nice to have a full trash can sitting on the curb smelling and swarming with bugs when you have paid for service. Good riddance and I would suggest you find trash service else where as they are a rip off!!!!!

This company was a good company, I dont know what happened, but they started missing pick-ups and then I get a letter in the mail that they can no longer service our area. They state in the letter that my refund was a certain dollar amount, I checked my records and found that they had a book keeping error because I know that they owe me for another month. The lady said that if I produce the records they would review and I should see the extra month payment within 45-days. Maybe someone else got credit for that month, I dont know, or their books are being tampered with. Either way, I would be careful when using them.

We had this company for 2 or 3 years, all was well until a couple months ago. Started having missed days where they did not come. Called office and they asked which house we were as if it was just our house that was missed. It was a struggle to convince them my entire neighborhood was missed. This happened three or four times. And each time it was a struggle to talk to anyone, as they mostly never answer the phone and you are forced to leave a message. And sometimes you get a recording that says their mailbox is full. Two weeks ago we got a letter saying they were canceling us. And I have been told it is not just my street, not just my neighborhood, but our entire town of Murfreesboro. They said since we were paid through October 1 they would pick up throughout September, and then they bailed on that! Now they will no longer return any messages whatsoever.This is a poorly run company, either they can’t keep enough trucks running or enough people hired. We’ve been forced to find another company. I do not recommend Red River Waste Solutions to anyone.

I wish there was zero or negative star rating because this company doesn’t even deserve 1 star rating. Bottom line is if you want a company that skips trash pickup on regular bases & doesn’t respond to email or phone calls then this company is perfect for your needs otherwise find a good and reliable company that values and appreciates your business. That is what I did & I fired this company.

THIS company has been completely unreliable. Its not a covid issue, it has been happening for years, they have gone COMPLETELY downhill now. Its hard to ignore when you have two containers filled to the brim and garbage bags stacking up on the ground! Its sad, its upsetting.

From the moment I met her, RR had my heart. There was something about the way she looked at me. It made me feel like I was the only person in the world who existed to her. As fall turned to winter, we spent countless evenings cuddled up on the couch watching Seinfeld and sipping hot cocoa.We shared everything. Meals, laughter, our most guarded secrets, our bodies. Last weekend she sent me a text saying she wouldnt be able to come over on Monday and that shed see me on Tuesday. I havent heard from her since. Ive called and called. I tried to email but shes old fashioned and doesnt believe in email. Hell, she normally doesnt even answer her phone but I had to try. Please, if anyone sees her or hears from her, tell her I love her very much and that she should come back home. Life has lost all meaning in her absence.

My advice is to avoid RR. This is for the Nashville, TN area. I can only speak for that service area. They have changed their policy and only pick up what is in their container. When I signed up for the service I specifically covered the issue of picking up extra bags occasionally. They also missed picking up my trash this week. Monday I called and left three voice mails none of them were returned. I called Tuesday and got someone to answer after four attempts. They said my trash would be picked up the Wednesday or Thursday. It didnt happen on Wednesday so I called first thing Thursday. Someone answered and I was told I was on Thursdays schedule, guaranteed. Thursday afternoon I tried to reach someone. The customer service automated attendant requires you to press 1 every 15 seconds or it disconnects you. I have found out it disconnects you after 8 minutes. 32 minutes later I gave up. Repeated this on Friday, no answer after five 8 minute runs (40 minutes total). Do yourself a favor and use another service. I am paid up for another month and believe me I already have another company ready to take over.

Have used them and they recently said they will no longer be servicing my area. I’ve had to call several times because they missed picking up my trash.when it was picked up the trash can would usually be laying on the ground.! Didn’t have The decency to place it back up! Would not recommend them at all! Good riddance!

I am coming up on three weeks with no trash being picked up from my property. My account is not past due, their customer service will not return my calls, and my trash at home just keeps piling up! In all honesty, their service was pretty good up until now. For their sake, I hope they can fix in the future whatever it is that caused them to lose this customer.

I must agree with the vast majority of the reviews here. I have been with them for a month or so and it seems like I have to call them every other week for one reason or another. There is zero communication around holidays so you have no idea if/when your trash will be picked up. On top of that I called and they were putting me on the list for missed pick up and would come as soon as possible. The next day the trash was still there so I called again and this time someone was supposedly working that route and would get it that day. Well, this morning the trash is still there. Too much work for trash service. This should be the simplest agreement. I pay and place, they pick up. Unfortunately this hasnt been my experience.Follow up. called to speak to a manager and she was on another call but the call taker would give her my info to call me back. I didnt receive the call back so I tried again, this time manager supposedly out of the office. Annoyed, I went to the website and sent an email through the contact me portal. Less than an hour later the manager calls saying she did not get the message to call me back. Buyer beware.Another follow up, 3 full days later and 3 days full of promises but my can is still full. Just going to put it up and hope for the best next week. if this is your type of service then by all means contract with them. Otherwise stay clear.

It cost me more to switch to them but I did based on them picking up recycling every other week. Well they hardly ever did that! the recycle bin has now been out front for 3 weeks and no pick up. They have missed garbage before and offer no sort of discount for those missed weeks I was billed as normal.Go else where!

TERRIBLE!!! If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I have had ongoing issues with them. First they kept giving me the wrong week for recycling when I called which left me to leave my recycle out every week. Then they stopped picking it up...even though I PAID for that service. I keep trying to call them to see whats going on and no answer. I left a voicemail for a manager to call and its been two weeks and still nothing. The final straw is when my husband called today and asked if he could schedule a bulk pick up. The lady then told him that it would be $75.00. What???? He then told her that with our service it included a free bulk pick up once a month. She then proceeded to tell him that the contract has changed. Well, NO ONE even told us. NO ONE. He then told her we are canceling today and asked about how they want us to give the bins back. She was confused. He had to explain to her that we got bins to put our trash in and we need to give them back. You think it would be simple or that they would know that. She then just said leave them out and they will come get them in 7-10 days. That is a long time to leave them out but whatever. I cant wait until they take the bins. What a headache this all has been. Do yourself a favor and stay away!

Apparently this company has a contract with metro and yet they dont completely fulfill their duties. So that means tax payer money is being spent on a company that doesnt do their job. I am exhausted calling metro to tell them that this company forgot my trash once again. The first time was several months because they couldnt find my address....the second and third and fourth time was several weeks in between. This time its been almost 4 weeks. If I could give some sort of measurement that is less than one star I would. Red River is the perfect example of a company that has grown larger due to buying competition but forgot one crucial element. Customers. In a family with two kids I am now going on 3 weeks without trash pickup. I have literally had my trash can sitting by the curb in the hopes that I miss them while at work. That has proven to be an exercise in futility. I have like so many others tried to contact them as well as my wife. But again like so many others we have not heard anything. When our trash pickup was bought out quietly it was already kind of shady. But now here is a company that is getting paid and not doing the service that many people are asking for. Now how shady does that look? Complaining to the FTC is sounding like the perfect approach for your company.

Worst service ever...they skip service all the time, then I have to spend hours trying to get them to actual pick up the trash being put on hold or being ignored. Often they pick up only one can instead of both, rarely do I have a week that is as it should be. Tired of having to call to get them to actual pick up the trash instead of them just doing their JOB! I don’t even know where to begin. I wish I had read some of these reviews before I signed up for “service” (term used VERY loosely). Chris Maze (who seems to show a genuine concern) has tried to help me numerous times, but the incompetence here seems to be too widespread for her to overcome.Voicemail on the local phone number was full for the longest time and even when it was finally emptied it was non-functional. It seems like that was done intentionally since they surely receive tons of calls for missed service.They did deliver the roll away container right away, tricking me into thinking there would be acceptable service. However, as many others have said, collection has been missed on both collection days (Thursday) that I have been a customer. The first time it did not get collected until the following Tuesday (after calling numerous times and actually getting through 2-3 times). I was hopeful that it was just an oversight since we are new on the route, but Thursday passed again and the trash is still sitting here on a Saturday. Called yet again on Friday, was told they would be here to collect on Saturday… still waiting at 5pm and fairly certain that the trash will not be collected until next week.I will be calling Monday, cutting off service, and demanding a refund… I just hope I am able to reach someone.

From the time I called and set up service everyone has been so nice. Everything has been clear but if I have a question they are so easy to contact. They are prompt and the men on the trucks are very friendly.My only complaint was not knowing when trash pick up was the week of July 4th. Horrible customer service. Setup service 3 weeks ago, the representative seemed annoyed to setup a new account. Finally had them pick up for the first time scheduled for Monday. The following week scheduled for Monday has yet to pick up, it is now Thursday. My entire neighborhood who has the same service hasn’t had theirs picked up as well. Called several times and left messages and no response. I will be switching to Hudgins Disposal today.

As so many have said, I gave one star because zero stars is not an option. They cannot accurately be described as a trash hauling service because they dont actually aver haul any trash. I signed up one month ago and they came the first two weeks but that was it. The last two weeks they were a no show. When you call their office no one will answer the phone. I have had some luck emailing but they promise they will come out the next day but they never actually show up. Today I saw their truck and driver parked on the side of the road not actually doing anything so at least they do leave their offices for a little while. Too bad they never actually pick up any trash.

At first the service wasnt too bad. Occasionally they were late on trash pick up, but if they missed a Friday they would typically come the next Saturday. Until now. My trash hasnt been picked up in two weeks. Ive been calling the Nashville office repeatedly and no one picks up. I was finally able to leave a voicemail today, prior to today I just received a message about their inbox being full and the high call volume. They responded to someone about having to upgrade the phones due to the call volume...if you guys were picking up your customers trash you wouldnt be having this problem! My e-mails have also gone without response. This is county disposal all over again. I will be cancelling services, as soon as I can manage to reach someone in the company. Ive even tried contacting their corporate office. This is ridiculous.

Our experience for the first year was just fine. Since late December 2018, however, they have failed to pick up our recycling, our garbage, or sometimes both, six times. The person who responds to the emails I send when they miss a pickup has always been courteous and professional, and after three such episodes, she cced her regional managers. After miss #5, I asked them to tell me what was being done to prevent recurrence. They never responded.

This service has truly been the pits..Almost 1.5 years of service and has gone downhill fast lately..Trucks leaking all over the road in front of my house staining the street, not showing up at all, or driving up to within 50 feet of my trash cans while we were outside playing with our kids as we watched the truck turn around and drive off leaving us with not only trash not picked up but our mouths wide open at what we had just witnessed.2 weeks ago getting robot calls informing us of changes coming including new pick up day..My trash has now been sitting outside since new pick up day of Tuesday and its now Fridayand its still there.. 5 phone calls to 2 different numbers, no one answers. voice mailsleft with no return call. Contact Us link on your website is also disabled. I now just wantyou to pick up this load of trash and take your trash can with you because we are done. I switched to Red River Waste Solutions after our trash service were raising their price. I called around to different services and they were the best price. I love that if you forget to put out your trash they will get it for you, which is unheard of with other places. I think weve only forgot to put out twice. I also appreciate they option of them picking up a big item once a month. I enjoyed their service so much I told my parents about them and they switched also.

They threw away a perfectly good $70 garbage can and refused to do anything about it!!! Stating that they aren’t liable for anything besides their personal garbage cans! They are good when they come, but they have a habit of not showing up and then give a lame excuse. Our trash was supposed to have been picked up on 8/4, and here we are on 8/9 and its still sitting there. My husband couldnt get through to anyone on 8/4 and their VM box was full. He did finally talk to someone on 8/5, and they said it would be picked up 8/5 or 8/6....still sitting there.

Absolutely horrible service. Where to start. No show at all during Xmas week and no notice. Changed my days often also with no notice. Didnt show up for 3 weeks in a row, so I had to haul my own trash to dump. Called them more times than I can count to inquire what the hell the problem was. Most recently they didnt answer phones for over a week. Also did not take the time to return my several messages. I intended to cancel before my next quarterly bill but they would not answer nor return my messages. Once I finally got someone to answer and I cancelled it was February so guess what they billed me again for services not rendered. I politely emailed them to explain the issues and that I should not be billed and their response was that they will continue to send the bill and its my choice what to do with it. Boy were they different when they first got me to switch to them. Now its screw you. Perhaps this is why their reviews are so bad. Seems every review I read is the same experience i have had.Customer service SHOULD be number 1 with any respectable business. Not even close with this company! Beware! Called to speak to a manager today. Guess what? Not in but they could take a message. I wont hold my breath on getting a call back. Tomorrow I call the BBB and a friend at channel 5 news. I have a suggestion for the owner. Hire new staff and revamp your whole operation or sell company to competition while you still have any customers and value to your business. This is a fast sinking ship...

Incredible customer service from the front office to the workers in the field. Recycling truck driver answered my childrens questions about recycling, was very friendly. They picked up a sofa today and the two gentlemen were top notch. Happy I switched to this company

I have had this service for 3 months only and they have only picked up my trash 2-3 times out of 3 months. The office will never answer the phone nor will the assistant manager Amanda Spangler. Instead the assistant manager emails me and tells me that they are short staff and she is trying to get somebody to get my trash. This is UNACCEPTABLE for someone who is paying for this service. I do not reccomend Red river to anyone. I want a refund and Im going with a better company. I wanted to place 0 stars but you half to put 1 for it to post.

I watched the driver hit my mailbox With the forks that pick up the trash cans because he accidentally left them out while driving down the road. My wife called several days in a row and kept being told they would send a supervisor out that day to assess the damage. It’s been five days And now we can’t even get anyone to call us back or answer our phone calls. I can’t get mail until it is fixed they’ve hit my fence and my mailbox once before this year and I just fixed it myself rather than dealing with the hassle involved in having them do it . I am tired of fixing damage caused by this company if I had a choice and they weren’t city contracted I would fire them and Hire another company. I do not recommend this company if you have a choice.

Things started off great, when I switched to RR around this time last year, the last two months has been like pulling teeth to get my trash picked up. 6 out of 8 consecutive week, I have had no pick up. When you call, they dont answer or act as though you are bothering them. No one has even apologized or offered any kind of refund. The service definitely did not start out as was stated by the company. There where several weeks of missed pickups or pickups a day or two late. Worst customer service . We are scheduled for pick up on Monday. We set out our can on Sunday. We are calling by Tuesday night asking why they arent coming again. By Wednesday we get put on the missed pick up list. Meanwhile trash is building up. Family of four. This happens often . Voicemail is full, so we get billing after a long eventful pressing of buttons. They say yeah people dont get to the office until 10:00a . Open until 4:30? Six and a half hour office schedule? Ok... Nice. Would rate less than once star, but thats not an option. Im embarrassed to say that weve been with them for so long.

I started using Red River Waste about two years ago when they first began serving my area. It was spotty and unreliable about trash and recycling pick up at first. I was patient since they were “having growing pains due to such an increase in business.” They eventually got better for a while, then they started sucking again. Stuck with them because of the price, that increased by the way.I happened to be home the day they finally decided to pick up my week overdue trash and recycling that I had called about after the missed Memorial Day pickup. I witnessed the employee throw my recycling in the trash truck with my trash. Major dealbreaker there. Highly unethical. Of course I called to complain. They didn’t seem concerned. Told me the guy was new and didn’t know better. Their customer service is horrible. Worse now than it’s ever been. He wasn’t blind. It was clearly not bagged trash. All plastic and paper. He just didn’t care. I asked for a bill credit since I clearly didn’t get what I paid for. Had to leave a message, never returned my call. Didn’t get the credit. Called corporate and left a message, didn’t get a callback. It made me wonder if this has been going on regularly. Kind of odd that both trucks missed my house on the same day. I am done with this dishonest company. I switched to Republic Services and it’s actually $11 cheaper. If you are considering this company I strongly advise against it.

Switched to Red River after getting lousy service from another company that has since gone out of business. There were a few hitches as Red Rivers business grew a little faster than I think they were prepared for. A couple of weeks in a row, our trash was picked up a day or two late. However, they were good about calling ahead and letting us know about the delay. Since then, no problems. Trash is picked up in a timely manner and on the correct day. Overall very satisfied with the service.

I have had Red River for the last 6 months. The staff is super helpful and pleasant whenever I need to call. They have only missed my trash pickup twice (theyre human) but when I called and let them know they were super friendly and helpful and promptly came out the next day!!!I would recommend RedRiver to anyone who wants great customer service!

Theyre cheaper than others and offer a few more options/services.. like.. extra bags on top and larger then Bin items etc. BUT... they dont pick up everything! if they drop pieces, they leave them. Theyve skipped my house completely, after i had a yard sale even and very full bin. I called about it, and the woman i spoke to told me shed send them back to pick up and that at least i wouldnt have to wait another week ..Oh, but i did! They didnt come back for a FULL week.. and theres pieces of paper and trash left everywhere. Therefore... yalls service kinda sucks. :)

We loved our previous company, S & K Disposal, but unfortunately things quickly changed for the worse when they were bought by or merged with RRWS. Service changed from back door to curbside without a reduction in price, which was 40% than a competitor for the same service. They missed our pickup, couldnt be reached by phone and wouldnt respond to email or the customer service form on their website. Very happy with their competition but sorry for Scott and Kay as they are good people.

Signed up and paid for a year of weekly pickup service Aug/Sept 2016. Since then there have been at least 2 months of missed pick-ups. 4 weeks from Thanksgiving to Christmas my pickup was missed I had to call at least 3 times before anything was done. From that point service was done regularly until late February early March when I was missed for another 3 - 4 weeks in a row on my regular day and I had to call in to get them to come back out to pickup my garbage. When service is done it is fine but if for some reason I seem to be on a regularly missed route or address.

I wish I could give zero stars. We just cancelled our service yesterday after my trash has been sitting on our curb since Sunday night. Pickup is supposed to be Mondays. This is the 3rd time in 2 months that our trash has been out the night before and not picked up. I’ve tried calling them numerous times and they either do not answer or return calls or if they answer they are rude and unhelpful. It’s Friday afternoon and our trash is still sitting on the curb after I was reassured that someone would be by to get it by Thursday. We will now be serviced by Hudgins Disposal and Waste.

The young men who service my route in Bellevue are always efficient and do an excellent job, but more importantly they are always kind, thoughtful and friendly! They never hesitate to greet me with a smile and a wave if Im outside and have even gone above and beyond what their job requires. A couple of times I have forgotten to put out my garbage containers on trash day and instead of passing us by, they retrieved the container from beside my house so we wouldnt have to wait another week to have my garbage picked up. I wouldnt hesitate to give this company my highest rating and Id happily recommend them to anyone. Also, what little dealings Ive had with the office staff has also been very pleasant & professional, so it seems this company really aims to please in all aspects of their business.

Prior to the past 6 months we received good service. However, the past 6 months the service has been horrible. We have made several telephone calls only to be lied to and referred to voice mail messaging systems to leave messages for return calls that are never returned. At one point, our garbage wasnt picked up for 3 full weeks in a row. How ridiculous is that? Pick up remained here and there for several weeks. However, the last few weeks it has been relatively stable and weekly once again. Perhaps they are back on track again and I am glad I hung in there and supported this company during a difficult time. After all, we all go through rough tmes from time to time. I just dont believe in kicking anyone when they are down. You have to help them up! Treat others the way you would want them to treat you. Horrible Service.Week of Christmas they were two days late and no notice given.Week of Jan. 2, they never came.Week of Jan. 9, they missed the scheduled day again. After complaints to corporate, local voicemail (when it wasnt full and not letting you leave one) and via email, they finally came unannounced...so the 6 bags of trash in the house that couldnt be put out due to high winds that week which were knocking them down and making a mess, were still backed up and needing to be taken away.Week of Jan. 16, never showed. Called local number, corporate and filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Finally got a call back on Friday of that week telling me they would be there either that day or the following day (1/21). No one came!Week of Jan. 23, on Monday...called local line and actually got a real person! Was told they should be there that day. Also received a BBB response from them stating they were to be there by that day. No one came! It is now Tuesday, 1/24. Local line voicemail was full this morning and couldnt leave a voicemail. I emailed and complained to the BBB again. This is absolutely ridiculous!If you have a choice in waste services, STAY AWAY from this company! Update:It is now 1/27, and Red River missed another week of pickup. This is the THIRD week of Missed Pick up! I called the local line Wed/Thurs/Fri (today). Only once was voicemail not full. I called the corporate office and left messages. Neither local or corporate responded with a person. They called my husbands work line and left an automated call saying their Wed/Thurs pick ups were delayed. We have WEEKS of trash backed up from them not doing their job. SERIOUSLY!?!?! You are asking me to go ANOTHER WEEK with no pick-up?!?!?!?!? And the email they keep dispensing on replies like the one below and to WKRN in the two stories they have now done about this issue is just a joke because they dont answer!

This service is the worst trash service I have ever experienced. My trash is due to be picked up on every Tuesday. Guess what?!...it never happened! Called Wednesday, I get told they are running behind and it will be picked up..and again, never came. Thursday called again and the same crap and the same old story...Friday, rolls around and guess what?! Nothing changed. Im tired of paying $39 for every 3 months just to be lied to. This company is a joke and I strongly recommend not using this service. If I had an option of not being able to give them a star, I would not even give them one! Our service was perfect with Planet Green. Red River Waste bought them out and havent picked up our trash in two weeks. Why would a company buy out someone else, just to stop servicing the area? We will be finding another trash hauler in our area as soon as we can. Red River doesnt answer their phone. The message says, we are experiencing higher than normal call volume. Leave a message...At the same time they stopped picking up our trash, they sent out mailers trying to sell their recycling services.It has been a month since I posted this and no response forms the company. And, they havent picked up our trash in three weeks. They have somehow gotten worse.

We had a bad start when they changed over to the trucks to pick up the trash with a mechanical arm. We canceled our service and then decided to give them a try again. After several phone calls, we feel like we are on the right track. Jennifer, that works in the office was very very very helpful! I am believing that they are trying to get all the kinks worked out. I think they have some good systems in place to ensure that.

Red River purchased my local waste provider. They went weeks without pickup and then it was hit or miss. When I called they reported a truck shortage. I waited months before cancelling. I requested a refund which they assured me I would receive in 3 weeks. That was close to 4 months ago and still nothing. I have called multiple times and left messages. If I can actually get someone on the phone they still tell me that corporate is working on the refund. This has been a terrible experience. Very happy with my new provider but Id love to actually receive my refund.

We had this company for about three and a half years. No major issues but a few annoyances over that time. The kicker was how they ended our service though. They Robo-called to say they were changing our pick-up day. A few days later we got a flyer saying they were picking up our cans and terminating service with no explanation. When I called to see which one was actually going to happen, they apologized for the confusion and said that our day was simply changing but our service would remain. A few days later, they showed up without notice to pick up our bins and terminated our service. No explanation, no apology, no nothing. We have a new company set up for next week and are happy to see way better reviews of this new company. Im sure well be much happier with our new service!

UPDATE: Despite the reply below from RRWS and their many promises to do this or that, Red River Waste Solutions service remains horrible. I have had nothing but positive interactions and great service from Red River. Our weekly collector is so professional and so friendly. He goes above and beyond to provide great customer service. If we have a question, he jumps out of the truck to speak, rather than sit up in the cab and yell over the motor. The last two weeks, we have been late getting our dumpsters down, and rather than a scowl, we were met with a smile and he jumped out of the truck to assist. The only time I ever missed pickup was once during a holiday week and I had not read my email where they informed us of the holiday schedule. Strong work, Red River Waste! Your service is appreciated and kudos to a great associate.

They seem to pick up the trash / recycling only when THEY want to - NOT when they are scheduled to do so. After multiple calls, getting the same answer - were working on it - Im not sure that Im going to stay with this company. They started off being great.I understand labor day was a holiday but when I signed up for this service I was told if its a holiday on Mon. we still pick up. I never give a review but this is ridiculous that no memo was sent out last Monday that the holiday pick up will be Sat. I set up service with them a little less than 3 months ago, I paid everything to have service started they somehow forgot to bring my trashcan twice and although service was set to begin 04/15 & I paid for my service 04/04... I had to call twice for my trashcan to be delivered and had to call again because they didnt pick up my trash till 2 weeks after the set date. Their pick up drivers let trash fall down when they pick it up and not make one attempt to clean up the mess they make. Theyre now trying to make me pay a past due balance on my exs old account simply because we lived together and he apparently added me as someone who can make payments (he did this because it was my card he was using to make payments with at one point). Now theyre telling me they will not pick up my trash and that I am responsible for paying a bill that was never under my name. Im switching to another trash company this week and I am contacting the BBB for the charges theyre trying to add under my account. One 3 month cycle and Ive been disappointed by their horrible service since before my trash was picked up... Do not use this company, find another reputable company with better scores and reviews.

The associates in the office are always friendly and professional if I have any questions or concerns about what I can and cannot throw in my can. I started with Red River Waste because my sister in law recommended them when I started having trouble with a previous providor. Initially it took them a bit to get the logistics worked out but a few months later they are like clockwork! It is a relief to know I no longer have to take my garbage off because I know they will be there. Also, I never have garbage stuff left lying around for me to pick up after they have come by. I was a happy S&K customer but unfortunately they were acquired by this horrible company. In the six months we have been with them they still cannot get our account right and state that we have not paid. The person you talk with when you call sounds like she is at the end of her rope and basically says that she cant provide any information and than I need to send a copy of every check I have sent them and she will have corporate go through it. Of course nothing is cleaned up ever and never hear a response.The actual trash pickup under S&K was great always got everything. RRWASTE definitely leaves stuff and not nearly as professional.Now I get a notice that they are discontinuing the service that we utilize Backdoor pickup and cutting down to one pickup a week. Heres the funny thing, do you think they are going to drop the price....nope. just a Backdoor way to raise the price on everything.Definitely agree with other reviews that it seems like S&K sold out to a horrible company. My opinion is that you should look for other trash companies.

The service is very good from what I have observed during my 3 1/2 months as a customer. They will pick up reasonably sized trash that wont fit in the trash bin that you leave right next to it. With my old company everything had to be in the bin.My one complaint is their inconsistency in their prices. I know 4 people who all live in Old Hickory, including me, and not one of us pays the same price for service. Mine is the highest at $48 every three months and the lowest is $38 for 3 months even though we all live within a few blocks of each other.

This trash service constantly forgets to pick up our trash. In less than a year this has happened several times. The past two weeks in a row the trash was not picked up. We have to call just about every other week to remind them to do their job!Today, the lady on the phone actually told us that the driver put a note on the account that the trash was not outside... at 4:30pm the day of their scheduled pickup, which is funny seeing that I called my wife around 4pm after I checked to see if it the can was empty.I can understand a new driver forgetting a certain street or pickup, I can also understand routing issues or an employee not coming into work that would cause a pickup not to happen. But for a driver or employee to straight up LIE about the trash not being on the street is a done deal in my book. Canceling service TODAY and I we are not fully refunded for the remaining service paid in advance for, I will get the BBB involved and anything else I need to recoup MY money!Bottom line, dishonest company!

This is the absolute worst company and service I have ever paid for. They have left my garbage can full of trash on four occasions in 3 months. They claim that there was an “obstruction” keeping them from accessing the bin. I have pictures that show the can is sitting on the street. They will not reschedule pic up times and their front desk receptionists are extremely rude and demeaning. DONT NOT PAY FOR THEIR SERVICE.

I give them 1 star only because I cannot give them 0. Without a doubt, Red River Waste is one of the worst companies I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. They routinely failed to show up on trash collection day. There was never any notification, or a call to say when they would be out to pick up the trash. We would call and complain, and ask when they would pick up the trash. It was always due to route problems, and they would be out the next day. Sometimes they were, sometimes they werent. We eventually gave up complaining, because it was clear that they refused to notify us when they couldnt make it, and their customer service is rude and terrible. Finally, we cancelled. Their trash cans have been at my house for 3+ weeks since cancellation. They refuse to come pick them up. We have called and complained to no avail. Finally, they promised us they would be out today. No surprise, they didnt show up. No call, nothing. I am not a storage company. This is ridiculous. I have shown them way more respect than they have ever shown me in trying to return their property to them.

Had a horrible experience with them from the start. They didnt pick up my garbage for a solid 4 weeks. Every time I called they would say, oh Im sorry, we will have someone out today. Never came. The last few times Ive called them I have had the same extremely rude girl answer the phone. I was trying to get them to come pick up the cans so I could change services and she pretty much told me that it wasnt their responsibility and for me to figure it out. Ha!! Just what I always wanted,.... useless garbage cans!!! Wow!! Thank you so much!! Our garbage service was just fine until yall came and took over. It was a downhill slide ever since.

If you do business with this company your trash will NOT be picked up every week. When you call to ask about it, the phone most likely will not be answered... when it is answered its a machine, leave a message and go ahead and wait for a returned call, it wont happen. Then you can try to send an email, they rarely respond to those either. So in the end, you will pay money for a service that is not provided to you consistently. If you can occasionally skip a week of trash pickup this company might work for you..

We have had Red River Waste since they acquired our previous trash collector, Planet Green. I have been pleased with the service. They pick the trash up on the collection day. If they are running behind, they always call to let me know and they pick up promptly the next day. Only taking one star away because they dont recycle in our area...otherwise great!

They are new. They seem to be trying. They have missed FIVE pickups and the rescheduled pickups are missed as well. I finally got hold of their customer service. They were very friendly, apologetic and concerned as to how they could help. I think they will get the problems worked out. When they do I will change my rating. I am going to be patient. Their customer service agent, Mitzi, was confident that service will get to a normal standard soon. I believe her.

What a great experience! I had to fire my last trash service for being unreliable...in contrast Red River has been amazing! The truck driver was in my neighborhood and noticed that my old trash company had not picked up as they were supposed to...he VOLUNTEERED to take my trash for free 1 time if I would give the office a call and find out the rates. I did, and have been very happy ever since. My trash is not something I want to spend time worrying about! Red River Waste is the Easy Button! Love these guys!

The worst customer service I have ever dealt with. They have missed pickup days, and wont pick up trash until the next week. They dont answer the phone or return calls. Find another company, because they dont care about the customers they have.
