This company is amazing! My 2 year old son was outside playing and got so excited when he saw the big truck (as he calls it). The guys passed our house while waving to my son and said they would be right back. They immediately turned the truck around and parked it right outside of my driveway to get our trash next since we were outside playing. My son was SO EXCITED! Thank you so much to these guys. I know its hot and Im sure you all wanted to continue on for the day, but making the time for my son to see that big truck made his day!!Also, on numerous occasions we have forgotten to take our can out to the curb the morning of pickup day. The guys will come to the side of the house and check inside the can to see if it needs emptied. If it does, they drag it out to the truck and take our trash. Kudos to them! A job well done each and every week!

Yall, I cant say enough good things about Roger and his team. 1) They offered us services even though we were outside their normal route, 2) offered us recycling when literally no one else would and 3) didnt force us to roll our bins out to the curb and instead picked them up directly behind our garages! I was the representative from my HOA who worked to hire a new company and Roger was so responsive and so easy to work with, hes just a peach. His team even went so far as to send us email reminders of when the pickups were when we first transitioned so people wouldnt forget. If you need a new pickup company, then look no further! You cant do better than these guys, I promise!

Weve been using their service for over a year now. Theyve always been consistent and have great customer service. They go above and beyond to collect bins. They work incredibly hard in the hot and cold. My toddler loves to see the truck and they seem to enjoy seeing her to. 😊 I enjoy our service experience.

I have to update my review as of today, 9/22/20. My wife has been away on a business trip for a week so far, so I have been taking care of our 2 dogs and the house chores alone. I have a job that keeps me working and connected from the time I wake up until the time I go to sleep. I am also balancing studying for my exam in December. Needless to say, it is very easy to overlook some things right now. Trash pickup is on a Tuesday. I know that, but in the hustle and bustle of my busy day-to-day, I forgot to take my trash can to the road last night. I wake up this morning and take care of the dogs medicines and food and water, then get myself ready for work. I walk out to the driveway and notice that my trash can is empty at the end of my driveway. I open my Ring app on my phone and find the motion alert and watch it from earlier this morning. What I see makes me smile. The gentleman saw my trash can and has walked up my driveway to look inside it. He sees it needs to be emptied and takes it down the driveway and to the truck and empties it. Sir, you may not know this, but you made my day. That smell gesture of kindness was absolutely something that I needed this week and I greatly appreciate you.

The woman at the front desk is an absolute doll! So helpful and so sweet. She is the only one running the front desk and answering calls so people need to give her a break about getting in touch with the business. Great customer service!

We absolutely love that we switched from WasteManagement to JE McMurtry Disposal. These guys are always on time and provide the best service and if you ever have an issue, theyre just a call away and you wont get re routed and re routed trying to reach a customer service agent. We love all the little things like how they walk your bins back up to your house from the street and there are times when we forget to put our recycling out and they actually grab it from the side of our garage. 11/10 would recommed switching to these guys. And an added perk is that they pick up on the holidays companies that WM wont. Thanks for all you guys do!

McMurtry Disposal is hands-down the best service around. Locally owned, which I love, and their staff is incredible. I once had some heavy boxes on my porch I couldnt lift myself and one of the workers went above and beyond by helping me with them. You really couldnt ask for nicer people or a more fair rate for the excellent service you get.

This company is one of the best I have ever dealt with. The people that pick up the trash and friendly and go out of their way to help. The customer service in the office has been equally impressive.

So far I am pleased with this company. They pick up on time every week and give enough notice if they can not not pick up on time due to Holidays. I would give 5 stars but I have trouble with the online billing account and getting a call back when I need help with it.

Customer service both at the curb and on the phone is excellent. I forgot to put my cans at the curb and the guys came down at got it for me. Going the extra mile is greatly appreciated!

Tanya was very friendly and courteous, she also has a good spirit and great customer service skills. They came out the very week I called, offered a free trashcan, and always available to speak to for any questions without having to go through a automated machines with unlimited menu options.We also enjoy the fact no contracts or pressure needed which also helped our situation. Super pleased with the customer service this company has. We have had them for the past 4 months now and they have been on top of everything. It is the little things that make a difference. We forget to pull the can down to the curb and the guy still gets it from by the garage. If we take the one recycling can up and trash hasnt been picked up yet the driver takes the trash can up to the garage. Awesome work! It also helps that they have a pretty decent rate! Would recommend.

Since this company bought Spurlock disposal after the sweet owner died, its been a nightmare. The major problem is the lady who answers the phone. Her voice is on the voicemail. She is very rude, she has no courtesy at all or any customer service manner. She talks to you anyhow without respecting the fact that you are paying her bills. I dont know why she is still work for this company with the amount of negative complaints she received. Im planning on talking to my neighbors during our next meeting to see if we can another company that appreciates her customers. No advance notice about the holiday pickup.... I must say that the pickup guys are wonderful worker though. There must be a change comes 2019

My wife and I just moved to Lebanon. I signed up for WM because that’s what my father-in-law was using. They told me to put my trash at the curb on Tuesday, but they never came by. I called every day for a week, with promises they would pick it up each day. They never showed. I asked to speak with a supervisor. They told me someone would call me within 2 hours - no call. I called the next day and they told me it takes up to 48 hrs for a supervisor to get back with you. After two days, still nothing. Today, WM still didn’t pick up my trash. I called and canceled my service and signed up with McMurtry. All in the same day, they brought me a can and picked up my trash that was on the road. I’ve never had such good service. Today, I made the right change. Thank you McMurtry for treating me like a customer and not just a number that you could easily do without.

J E McMurtry is a great trash service. The go beyond for there customers. The lady that answers the phones always calls back pretty quick and always helpful.

Horrible service and canceled our account when I argued with them over not picking up my trash.

One star is too much for this company. Have called for two weeks, left messages, no call back. I called repeatedly today and left message after message and that is when she (the woman on the voice message) called me back. Got smart with me. Funny how she’s “away from her desk” or “on the other line” every single time I’ve called, yet can call me back when she got annoyed. Not professional people at all.They picked up my garbage the first time I put it out and that’s how I got the phone number to call. It was on the side of their truck. That’s when I first called to set up new service. Not one person had called back to help set up my service until I annoyed them (2 weeks later). They haven’t picked up my trash for the past two weeks now. I’d say anyone would be annoyed with that kind of treatment. Again, not professional at all.

So I chose JE McMurtry Disposal because they were a locally owned company & I like supporting local businesses...but I was surprised by the amazing service Ive received. I bought a house in May, & you homeowners will understand that youve got a lot going on when you first move in...so, I kept forgetting the day I was supposed to pull out the garbage. I was a day ahead in my mind. My guys that run the Old Hickory route would run up to my house, pull the can, unload, & leave it back up in my yard. Talk about service!! They went way above & beyond to make sure my trash was picked up & they def didnt have to. So a couple months later a guy came around trying to get me to switch. I told them that I was staying loyal to this company as long as I was living here. They are competitively priced, locally & family owned, & take that extra step for customers. Amazing service & wonderful guys! Youve got me. Thanks!

I Called in for new service, was told I was supposed to go with metro trash. Metro trash said to use JE. JE called me a liar, and hung up on me. When I called back and asked for trash service in the interim and she told me if I tried to give them my trash she would call the police. Top knotch customer service right there.

Incredible company... with incredible workers! We have had them ever since we have been in our home. (8ys?) They beat any other disposal company here in Nashville - Customer service is beyond the call of duty.. we started out with a popular company. They always were forgetting our house.. no one ever responded when we called. We asked them for yrs to get their trash can (its the blue one if that helps) after we finally cancelled. It still sitting down by the road! J E Mcmurtry has never missed a day... always notifies us of holiday changes and still comes promptly. On occasion we have forgot to put our trash out and they have actually walked up the driveway .. dumped our trash... and put it back!!!This is an over due thank you. Recently we have been solicited by another company regarding pickup change.. making it appear we use them... we checked to see if JE changed numbers .. nope. Pretty slick to think we would jump on their band wagon.. We are way too happy! Thanks guys if you read this.
