Concerning the bad reviews for Tommys Wrecker...Another company called Toms Automotive and Wrecker, which is based in Mississippi came to Nashville about a year ago. Our company is getting a lot of bad reviews because of the actions and response time of Toms Wrecker. We have never made any customer wait over an hour for a tow. Toms does a lot of towing for AAA and other insurance companies and other motor clubs. All of these bad reviews are in regards to Toms Auto and Wrecker, NOT Tommys Wrecker. Just wanted to set the record straight. Thank you

I recorded the phone conversation about having my car towed that was blocking an apartment complex. I originally was assigned to them at 11 pm through Verizon. I then immediately called them they said it would be an hour. 2 hours later I called them and they said it would be 30 mins 3 hours later I called them and they said they were to busy and to hire someone else... needless to say 6 hours later Im still here. I have recordings of all the communication and will be uploading to YouTube and linking it here somehow. If you do not want to be stranded then do not call toms.

I was in an accident late on Sunday night. Tommy’s driver drove me home and was so kind! When my husband went the next day to retrieve our items Tommy asked how I was and was extremely friendly. Lovely and will recommend!

Do not use this company even if it is life or death. It is better to die peacefully than listen to their lies.

This place is very unprofessional scheduled to pick up vehicle 4 hours after I called. I called next morning and they still hadn’t picked it up my truck ! Nasty little girl answering the phone too with her ugly attitude. Literally took them over 12 hours to get to my truck.

Make sure that you have a valid license to pick up your vehicle,and if you have a flat tire you cant change it there on the property i had to ride a bent rim outta the gate to change it. Hopefully you never experience what did.

My company attempted to use this towing company today. We had a technician break down on side of road today, and our employee then waited 5 hours on side of road for them.Their main office was telling him they were 20 mins away. Everytime he spoke with them they said the same thing “only 15-20 mins away”. After 3 hours he started getting calls from the actual driver and he started lying to our tech also, stating only 5 mins away. After 40 mins of the tech lying to our tech, we then called another towing service which was on site with 30 mins no problem. We will not use this company again.

Ran into a issue picking up a vehicle for a customer. Lost my cool a bit but the owner held his composer and was very cool about the situation. Understanding guy but means business. I wish nothing but the best for his business!

UNFAIR PRACTICES. During this huge February ice storm, Tommys was called by the police to tow cars that had wrecks due to the ice. After they towed the cars to their lot, more snow hit and they were not able to deliver the cars to mechanic or auto body shops (or homes). Their tow trucks were stuck in their lot. When the snow melted enough for the cars to be moved, Tommys charged the car owners STORAGE FEES WHEN THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO MOVE OR DELIVER THE CARS!!! $40 per day when they were not able to use their lot for anything else because they were snowed in. DO NOT USE.

My insurance led me to Toms. Use anyone but them!!!. Initially quoted a 2.5 hour wait. Which turned to 4, and cancelled when the nastiest “receptionist” told me it would be at least another hour and half. I had already prepaid the tow for $130. After asking her her as to why no one called about the delays or actually picked up my vehicle 2.5 hours after it was supposed to be picked up she hung up on me and then when I called back to see if she was still picking up my car and ETA, she placed me on a long hold and never returned. I called back and she refused to answer my call and give me a status. Obviously not having the best of days needing to have my car towed and the Toms and the nasty lady that takes their calls made it no better.Tower Beware!!!!

BUYER BEWARE: Tom’s was dispatched to change a flat tire via AAA. Their technician broke the lug spindle / bolt on my vehicle while attempting to change it. During a conversation with the owner he explained that this isn’t their fault and they’re not paying for the repair. I’m out $362 because of their incompetence and inability to provide customer service. DO NOT use Tom’s and save yourself the hassle.

Charging More Than What It Should Be

Vehicle was towed by airport security, these guys told cash only they don’t give a “(censored)” if your.

Ive read many of the reviews and decided that I needed to add mine from today. Very rude receptionist. She called to get a payment from me and spoke to me with an attitude and very unprofessionally. The tow guy was late and put that he had arrived 20 minutes before he ever showed up. I would never use this company and was only sent to them by AAA. They are a horrible representation of AAA and I would never choose them on my own.I only gave them 2 stars because when the tow guy got there he did a great job.

They were very helpful with trying to find me another car to buy.

Tommy is by far one of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of meeting! Everyone is extremely nice!

Tommy insisted I didnt need to bring my motorcycle home because the insurance will pay for the daily storage. When I had a friend bring a trailer to pick it up, he was visibly upset. Then he said it was $270 even though my bike had been towed to his yard and sat there for less than 24 hours. When I asked for an itemized breakdown of the total he acted like a child and threw a tantrum, slamming his bathroom door in his office. I even apologized for possibly offending him but he raged on like a jerk for no real reason. Then he wouldnt talk to me directly anymore and sent his employees out to make sure I didnt touch the bike until he got his money. His employees insisted that he doesnt ever act like this and mustve been having a bad day. It was clear to me that hed decided on an amount he expected from my case and was going to get it no matter what. He was unprofessional, unfair, and it was an awful experience. His employees seemed nice enough.

Some of the people here are rude and hateful. Some are friendly. Its a roulette wheel as to what you will get.

$145 CASH demanded and would not even tow vehicle to the address where my granddaughter asked for it to be towed. Instead dropped it off in the road where they chose. Was told by the owner that they didnt like dealing with people from your part of town. Their part of town happens to be in a very nice area. Only thing we can think of is since the cops called turn for the tow after an accident it ate up too much of their gas/time so they took it out on my granddaughter?

Tommys wrecker service is fair and reasonable always on time cant beat the local prices 65 cash over 75 cc# i whould recommend them to anyone they will take care of your car properly and treat you with respect if you call them on your next tow ask for tommy thats the man that help me out with my tow bills and storage and gave me a discount on my 2nd retow..wish i can give them a 10..

There was a $35 “administrative fee” to up my total costs to $250 for a tow of about 10 miles and one night of storage. The employee working on hand agreed with me that I was being robbed. I kept saying “this is not right” and she said she couldn’t agree more but that she was only making $10 an hour and couldn’t do anything about it. It was good to know that she felt that way too, at least.

Scam!! In cahoots with local parking with unclear parking signs!! Call the police when they try to tow you, its a scam!!
