My A/C stopped working, and I called Morton and was given a time 4 days away. Its getting pretty hot, they must be busy. They called a short while after and had an unexpected opening, and two great technicians, Tim and Sim, showed up within an hour and had the cold air blowing in about another. Great experience, and Ill definitely be back in the future.
Excellent communication, reasonable prices, friendly service, and high quality work. What else could you ask for?
I called Morton plumbing and told them that my water line was backed up and that I needed help that same day. No commodes were working, the kitchen sink was backing up, and the bathtub was backing up, so they knew the problem before they arrived. They were nice enough to work me in that day, but when the technician arrived, he checked everything and told me I had a major problem. He also told me (after calling his office) that their equipment was not available to clear my sewer line, and that it would not be available until the following week (which was in about 4 days).I could not wait that long since I had no working commodes in the house. I asked the technician if I should call RotoRooter or another plumber, and he said yes, and that he would call Hiller. I told him I was a Hiller customer but did not call Hiller initially because I thought they were very expensive and I had heard good things about Mortons. So, bottom line, the Morton guy left, and then I was billed a $49 dispatch fee. I dont mind paying the dispatch fee if I was offered the option of Mortons do the work. But they were not able to help me that day. When I called their office to ask if the dispatch fee could be waived, the woman who answered the phone kept interrupting me and said that her guy told me what was wrong so that I could call another plumber and tell them was what wrong. She talked over my attempt to speak and would not let me talk without interrupting. She said that I was told about the dispatch fee in advance (I dont remember being told about it) and that everyone was billed that fee and it had to be paid if I chose another service. The only reason I chose another service was because Mortons did not have the equipment available. And if I told him in advance about all the issues I was having, why did he come to my home if he did not have the equipment to fix it?So, my complaint is poor customer service, and having to pay a fee when they were not able to do the work due to their lack of equipment.
I should have given this review years ago. My mom has used Mortons Plumbing for as long as I can remember. They know her and she knows them so well that she leaves a key for them to come in and do what they need to do when shes not around. They are a GREAT group of people and Im sure I would use them if I needed their services. I didnt know they did HVAC stuff so thats a definite plus.
The leak from the hot water facet in my tub was increasing each day without being turned on. Morton Plumbing was cordial when I called and responded immediately. Even a firm I had used and paid in the past promised to come but never did and didn’t call me back with any explanation. Covid 19 was the main culprit but I do appreciate a company that responds and makes every effort to help.
My old man works for them and the company is a great place to get rid of all plumbing and heating and cooling. The best thats around, #1 company. Jimmy is the actual title/definition of a boss, Cody thinks very highly of Jimmy as his boss and most defently as a father
I have to give a poor review here, as I scheduled them to come out for my AC unit and took off work to be home, but the morning of my appointment, I was called and told the company owner was not willing to perform the work because it was a warranty-related job. I understand his concern, but I told them up front my unit was under warranty--so I should not have been told they can assist me, and have taken off work to be home, only to find out the day of that they are unwilling to serve me.The woman on the phone was very nice about it, hence the 2 stars. But this overall was a big inconvenience for me, and I cant recommend that way of doing business.
I am a employee have been for about 4 years now and its the most happiest environment i have ever worked in and everyone does there job like it was there own house
I have used Morton plumbing consistently, both at my business (large church facility) and at my personal home and have always had professional, courteous service at a great price!! Highly recommend!
Sim came today and fixed the a.c. unit and told me that all that was needed was a thermostat. I had previously called another company and they told me I needed a whole new unit. I appreciate honesty more than anything and this company now has a customer for life. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Thank you so much Sim for all your hard work and help today!
I DO NOT RECOMMEND.Charges were unreasonable and excessive for services rendered. We thought it was a complicated repair. It was utterly simple & took less than 1/2 hour. Though we were given 2 choices on how to pay, no information was given about how difficult/simple repair would be. So, owner knew we were in the dark. And, obviously, used that opportunity to rook us. Morton refused to adjust amount, giving umpteen excuses. He charged highest repair charge on the scale, and seemed to enjoy rooking us. When speaking to him, he (1) Disparaged the services, accreditation, and experience of other, good plumbers; and ( 2) Retaliated by increasing charges after talking to him. Owner is NOT professional; will rook you by charging the highest rate he possibly can, and thus, lacks character. This is not someone you want in your house. Will return to several other previous plumbers who are reasonable and fair-minded. I have had several great, experienced and kindly plumbers who discuss the work to be done, and make the situation fair for the customer. BROOKS and many others are much better. Do not go to Morton.
Great experience! I was able to get same day service. Everyone was so extremely nice too!!
Our 800 foot water line was broken - losing copious amounts of water. Morton’s was at my house within an hour to assess the situation. We did need the escavator which was not available until the next day. They arrived first thing in the morning and stuck with a difficult job until it was repaired. Each employee I met was very kind and helpful. I talked with the dispatcher and owner several times, and they were always professional and courteous. I highly recommend this plumbing company.
Morton plumbing is always courteous and quick and my company only uses them if we can help it. Josh is the best!
Morton Plumbing is quick, responsive, and everyone Ive spoken with was as nice as can be. As a new-ish homeowner, they walked me through everything and I found them so nice to work with and they did a great job. (The technician also showed up within the scheduled window- always a bonus for me!) I had a shower with a faulty lever and cartridge, and he fixed it in under an hour for a reasonable price.
I cant say enough good things about Mortons! Have been using them for years. They are honest, punctual and fair with their prices. Dont look any further if you need a plumber you can trust. Thanks guys!
I have been using Morton for plumbing and HVAC for the last 4.5 years. They are great company, do great work and are super helpful in explaining what is actually wrong with things. I appreciate their honesty and integrity and would recommend them to my closest friends and family.
Ive used them 3 or 4 times. Always 100% satisfied with their services. Wouldnt call anyone else. Pam
I called them out for a visit to address a mildew smell in our house. They scheduled me for the next day with a two-hour afternoon time frame. They called in the morning to say they had a technician available earlier if I preferred. I unfortunately couldnt make it work, but really appreciated that they called with the option. They showed up within the time frame, calling ahead to make sure I was available. The technician had great customer service, was courteous and made sure to put on the disposable shoe covers each time he entered the house. $50 dispatch charge but if they do any work they waive it. Also, the receptionist who answers the phone when you call is one of the most pleasant people Ive ever had the pleasure of talking with.
Second time Ive had Morton out to my place, and Ive been very happy with the results both times. With my most recent problem, I started out by calling a very large company who came out and started with an everythings wrong mentality and some very steep initial quotes. So I dug through some invoices to see who Id used a few years ago and got back in touch with Morton. I should have started there. Josh (owners son) and Blake were both very positive and willing to think practically instead of immediately going to the worst-case-scenario. They took care of the problem professionally and I will be very happy to call them again next time I need a plumber.
Had a great experience with Dwayne and Blake. Had a leak in lines connecting our upstairs bathtub. They came out early, did things the longer (but safer) way, and stuck to the estimate, even though they had to put in an extra shower cartridge (~$200 value). Final price of $265, for 1.5 hours work -- worth it to me. Thanks, guys.
Terrific plumber. Had a leaky pipe under the house that turned out to be a lot trickier to fix than first anticipated. Despite the fact it took twice as long as Rick Morton thought it would, he stuck to his original quote, fixed the leak and did it all in a friendly, professional manner. Ill definitely be calling them again if I have another plumbing issue.
I called several plumbing companies to deal with a leak in a bathroom. No company could give me an immediate appointment. I asked each for pricing information. I had used Morton for routine maintenance before and was predisposed to using them again, and they could come out a day before another I called. I was told of their $49 fee for showing up and was told that would be part of the total price, should they do the work. I asked Karen for the hourly rate and she told me they do work by the job, not by the hour, and the guys would tell me once they assessed the situation. I was upset when the two guys got there and told me the problem was that the toilet washers were worn out and that it would cost $200 to replace them! I know a bit about plumbing and think this is an outrageous amount simply to remove the toilet tank, replace the washers and put the tank back on. And it certainly did not require two men. The job was completed well inside an hour. The hourly rate of the other plumbing company was only $150. Because Karen did not tell me their hourly rate, nor their minimum charge ($200), I ended up paying more to Morton than I would have if I had gone with the other plumbing company! They did reduce the $200 to $175, which I appreciate, but it was still more than I would have paid. Mostly, I am upset at their withholding of information that would have allowed me to make a better decision.
I was recently trying to determine whether to buy a tankless hot water heater or a regular gas/electric water heater. I also needed to know if it made better sense to buy a water heater with a 3, 7, or 10 day warranty and whether I should buy a high efficiency energy savings one. Okay, so I guess I had a lot of questions. The good news was I arrived at the right place. Jimmy Mortons crew were true educators and now I have a much better knowledge of what to look for in a water heater. They did not try to sell me on a water heater I dont need and they didnt try to sell me the most expensive one. The end result was I received the best water heater to serve my familys needs. I like this companys approach of education and true care for the customer.
Cant say if service was good or bad. Can say though that I called in twice this morning to schedule an appointment. On both occasions I heard the phone get picked up, and then hung up. I am writing this 1-star review so that the owner will hopefully see it and address this with his staff. We found another great plumber whose office staff is friendly and communicates when we call.
Don’t waste your time! Worst service I have ever encountered. Was overcharged for “work” they never did. And they were rude over the phone. They promised me they wouldn’t leave my house until heat was working and, not only is the hvac not fixed, I never heard from them again. Terrible company.
Great job! Was on time and fixed my issue. Will use again if needed.
The gentlemen was very rude to me. I tried to call and schedule an appointment and he treated me like a bum! I was willing to foot the bill and he still wouldn’t schedule an appointment because other people have stiffed him in the past and put the bill on the unaware landlord! That has nothing to do with me. I’m a new customer simply trying to fix an ongoing problem on my own that my landlord hasn’t been able to fix. He even called me back to tell me his scheduler wasn’t making the appointment. I’m led to believe that he treated me this way because of the neighborhood I live in and my name. He continuously mispronounced my name with multiple variations of my name such as lakreisha, latisha, lakreita which I guess are the most common black names he knows! I’m black and my money is green! He could have told me to pay in advance or any other option besides telling me to wait on my landlord like the 50s!
DO NOT USE MORTON PLUMBING!The wouldnt quote me a price upfront but sent a plumber onsite to analyze the problem and preyed on my vulnerability once he was there. In the end, they charged me $450 to install a $112 faucet which took less than one hour!!!!
I will keep this review simple, run dont walk to the phone to call these guys. They even offer complimentary inspections of your plumbing and dont ever oversell you.
I would say that not all plumbers are alike. I had tried a few other plumbing companies over the years and I am now a Morton Plumbing customer for life. They were respectful, clean cut, and did not try to sell me services I dont need. They inspected our plumbing in our home as a precautionary measure at no charge. We sometimes have clogged drains, with sinks and toilets in our home and rental property, so plumbers are needed on a fairly frequent basis. They also have installed backflow preventors and hot water heaters. We have been pleased with their service, pricing, and satisfaction stance.
I swear the guys who came to look at my leaking toilet were either high on alcohol or pain killers. Moved in slow motion, eyes glazed over, and literally missed the door knob with his hand.
I have used them before and they do a great job, very neat and do not leave a mess.
I have used Jimmy and his sons for years. Recently, we had to have a backflow preventer repaired at our restaurant and they did such a good job, I wanted to take a moment to share my experience with others. In the past, they have helped us with leaking pipes, our garbage disposal, and installing a tankless water heaters at our home. They are always so professional, well dressed, and take the time to do the job right.
Very pleased with the service and Karen and Jimmy are great
The arrived near the end of the time window.I had already diagnosed the issue and procured a replacement part. All they had to do what install it. It took them about 30 minutes and they charged me $180...
15 minutes of work, a $10 part - the bill was $225. You do the math.
Timely, knowledgeable, and efficient
Friendly employees
