John, the tech, did a wonderful job and didnt add any additional unnecessary fixes. However, after the freezer was successfully repaired, the fridge above the bottom freezer has stopped cooling. Weve been trying to get him or another tech back on an emergency basis, but we can only get a follow-up appointment 2 weeks later!!

Very good experience with sears repair. Was able to fix he problem. Tech showed on time and was very thorough taking the machine in parts and putting it back.
They over charge on their home warranty service.Sears warranty charges at almost $600 for a warranty for a dyer that old that could be replace for for the same price and they charge a 100.00 deposit deductibles for every visit.
Under service contract told us only 1 service person in our area and we would be without our washer for at least 1 month. Do NOT buy a service contract from these people. They dont back it up with service any more. We talked to no less than 6 people in the sears repair org and not only could they not look at our appliance in under a month (with probably another month+ for repair parts and another long wait for the 1 service person) but they had the gall to try and get us to pay 6x more for an All Appliance contract which not one person we talked to could explain how they justify such gall when they are demonstrating how so thoroughly worthless their coverage is.
Had a Craftsman snowblower that decided to not start this year. With most local shops who had a waiting list, I reached out to Sears Home Services and got an appointment within a day. They texted me to let me know when the tech was on his way. The tech called me when he was in the driveway. The beauty of this service was that they have what they need to fix it right in your driveway. The tech was knowledgeable,, professional, and friendly. Was in and out with my snowblower fixed in 30 mins. Cost was $160 -- well worth not having to wait and find a place that could transport it to their shop. Will definitely use Sears Home Services again.. Highly recommend.

Have been using Sears repair for years. Always very happy. Not this time. Repair on my Kenmore Elite refrigerator that was not cooling. Diagnosed as compressor not working. .Fridge less than 5 years old. New compressor installed (under warranty). Paid over $400 for labor. Noisy after installation. Refrigerator never cooled lower than 60F. Hard living out of a cooler for two weeks.
Visit went smoothly. Questions answered fully. I feel reassured that I have been taking care of my appliances correctly. Have used this service in the past, with similar excellent results - which is why I scheduled the appt. - and I would not hesitate to use Sears services in the future. I like the idea of continuing to have Sears check my equipment periodically on the schedule recommended.

Scheduled service for a riding mower online. Received a text and email confirmation of the appointment, followed by a call from the technician confirming the appointment. Waited all no no one came or called. After an hour on the phone with customer service I was told the appointment was cancelled they do not service the brand. The brand has to be selected before scheduling on the website, they said it was not their fault that we scheduled online and the brands listed were not correct, the brand is still listed. Wish I could give them zero stars.

This was the worst service experience ever. Parts were delayed, no one called to tell me, took time off from work for the second appointment to fix the fridge. I spent so much time on hold with customer service through the course of four days. Finally talked to two different people and cancelled the order and still haven’t received a refund 6 days later. This was over a 2 1/2 week process with still no resolution.

The Sears Repairman arrived between the window of time and was very personable and professional.He explained, in detail, the issues of the problem with my dishwasher and then turned it on so that I could see it was no longer leaking.He then placed the fully loaded racks of dishes back into the dishwasher and cleaned the floor where he had been working.I was so impressed with the Service that I signed up for the Sears Home Warranty which covers all appliances in my home for $69 a month with only a $75 deductible. It is a must!!
I contacted Sears because my ice maker stopped working the week before Fathers day. I was pleasantly surprise they had appointments available the next day. The technician came on time, checked the ice maker, and was able to diagnose it very quickly: it was the motor. I agreed to the repair, and again, to my surprise, he had the part in his van. He made the switch and told me I would have a bucket full of ice within 24 hours. So far, so good. The problem is, that never happened. I had to call again on Saturday, and then wait until Tuesday to have it repaired again. When the new technician came, he indicated the duct was frozen (or something like that). He took care of it, and made sure the ice maker was running before leaving. Something the first technician should have done. This second call did not cost us anything extra, as it was covered by the $ 220 I paid the first time.Overall, I would still call Sears, but I was disappointed that I had to go without ice on Fathers day. Things should be done right the first time.
The repair man came exactly when he was scheduled to come. He was very friendly and polite. Did a very good job cleaning and adjusting all four appliances (washer, dryer, stove and refrigerator. He even taught me a new trick with my washer. Overall, I was extremely satisfied. Thank you.
Outstanding service was provided. Although it took 2 visits to fully fix everything, I did have 2 separate issues, one with the drain pipe and another with the leaky seal on the front. Both guys were nice, but especially the second tech was extremely knowledgeable, and helpful. He gave me other care tips, which I should actually go write down, come to think about it.
Our fridge broke down 3 times in 3 years. We are lucky we have master agreement but technician doesnt show up for 3-4 weeks. I would definitely not recommend Sears. Please find something else.
Gene was great in going out of his way to find the parts needed for the dishwasher. Parts were supposedly shipped to our home but never recd. We recd no help from Sears in tracking or reordering same.Thank you Gene.
The technician was able to quickly identify why the primer bulb would not prime the carburetor. He was able to correct/repair it - without the need for any new parts. The solution was so simple that, if it happens again, I would be able to fix it myself!
The technician was great. He was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He gets a 5 star rating. I only gave 4stars because the 4 hour wait time it ridiculous- they should be able to give a 2 hour window. I had the 1-5pm window and he showed up at 5:30 pm.

Its still broken. The door was fixed (hence an extra star, as this is an ongoing issue. They come out ~ 2x/yr to fix this, but the fridge isnt cooling and that issue wasnt taken seriously. Post-repair I cleaned the entire fridge and stocked it for a party. Now my food is bad, my replacement condiments are bad, the fridge smells, and I anticipate a negative response when I ask Sears for reimbursement. (Just kidding! I expect Sears to ignore the request completely.) Oh, and to top it all off, I have another FOUR HOUR window for a repair, and Sears does not give their phone associates the ability to schedule at the beginning or the end of that four hour block. (Then Ill get a survey on how the phone associate handled the phone call, where ultimately the rep is rated poorly because their hands are tied. Yes, theyre empathetic, but no, Im not happy with the service, because management fails to empower their reps and move to a more efficient scheduling system. Whats wrong with this picture, Sears?)
Service was efficient. But extremely expensive. It was $300 to replace just two small parts on the upper rack of a dishwasher. Repairman pushed a warranty policy that would reduce cost by 50% - but would cost $600/year. We will check other local service options going forward.
The issue was fixed rather quickly, it was the 3 1/2 hour wait that was tough. I also found the price for the repair more than I thought it would be. The part was $34 but in the end I paid $176. Maybe that is typical, I dont know.Regardless, my dryer is working and the family is happily doing laundry again! Thanks for taking care of it for us.
Can not say enough about the repairman they sent. John Sutherland was kind, courteous, efficient and prompt. He explained exactly what was wrong ordered the part and was great.The part arrived early and since John had already scheduled a return appointment we were all set. The next repairman Dave was great also. Came in replaced the broken part and explained in detail what to watch for since the appliance is older. Thank you John and David !!!
Despite late in the day and after scheduled time Chris was great at handling the issue we were encountering with the heating system.Only reason for 4 stars is that his schedule was over loaded, I dont believe that it is his fault. He was terrific and had excellent attitude!
Tech was awsome! not only did he fix my microwave, but i told him I would see him again soon for my dishwasher. He was extremely helpful, and fixed dishwasher while he was here also, saving me another phone call to make yet another appointment and missing more work! I thank and praise him very much!

We had some frost over the vents in the freezer on our Whirlpool Refrigerator which was preventing the refrigerator from cooling. We had extended warranty coverage. Setting up the appointment was quick...the person on the line was very courteous, understanding, asked me to check a few things and then ordered the right parts so the tech can be more productive. Service Tech called in advance...arrived on time...wore booties..listened well, took a quick look, had all the tools. Ran the diagnostic...found a faulty circuit board that was preventing automatic defrosting from happening. Replaced that...showed me the faulty one...offered to answered my questions and left me a very happy customer. Great job.
Our technician, Mike, called us when he was leaving the appointment before us in order to give us a better idea of when he would arrive. He came out despite the snow (quickly piling up) and, walked me through every step. He was courteous and professional. He did not leave until the issue was resolved. Nearly 2 week later, the dryer is still working 100% and, thanks to Mikes advice, we are under a 3-year warranty to keep it working!

Repair man very quickly determined that I needed a new battery. I elected to purchase a new sears battery & have him install it. Everything was taken care of in a very short period of time. Although expensive. very efficient. I was satisfied.

We enrolled into Sears Home Services recently. Our Furnace fan wasnt working and so no cold or hot air was coming. A guy from a&e comes up (Courtesy Sears), he diagnosed the issue, ordered parts and came back and fixed the fan in about an hour.Excellent!Only issue, it would have been great if a more sooner appointment was available. Had to wait for 2 weeks overall!
The technician was very nice.The problem was not resolved. The technician showed the machine worked with no load. After he left and a load was put in the machine it had the same problem.We called back for service and was lead to believe someone would be back out. No one showed and no phone call.We called back again and was told that no one was coming and no one would be available until the following Tuesday, which was another week.We ended buying a new washer.Terrible follow up service and will report that fact.
This was a maintenance check up because I bought the 3 year maintenance plan. Technician was not the same person as in the past 2 years but the new technician was pleasant and informative and friendly. He was professional. No problems with TV.

I got an infra red gas grill on clearance at Sears a number of years ago. I decided to get the extended warranty, and have kept it up. This year, some of the welds in the grill failed and the burners finally burned pretty much out.Sears replaced all of the parts with new ones, including the grill surfaces and burners. Its like new and works perfectly. More than paid for the cost of the warranty sevral times over.
It was nice to have a repair man who knows what he is doing and John is that repair man.

Prompt service, able to repair machine the day after I called requesting an appointment. The technician had all the parts required for the repair in his van, and completed the service in about an hour. All parts and labor included in the extended warranty service.
I scheduled a tune-up, but it turns out a new belt was needed. The cost was $316 for 45 minutes of work! $273 was for labor! Absolutely ridiculous cost, frankly its a rip off.

Apparently there are no technicians in our area so we have a service provider. This meant a miscommunication in the actual day that service was to be provided. It also meant I waited 4 hours for no one to turn up. The serviceman was very helpful on the rescheduled day and did a good job looking at our dishwasher, I am happy with that aspect but I am wondering why I pay Sears for a service agreement and then they are unable to help when I need a service. It was a bit of a frustrating experience and at the time quite annoying.
The guy that came was very nice. Explained everything to me, I was extremely happy with the service guy. I even told my husband how nice he was. He also figured out that the hoses for the washer were hooked up in reversrse when I was doing cold loads it was hot, you guys orriganally hooked it up wrong was happy to have it corrected
You should not have to send out a tech., when the customer tells you that the water heater is leaking from the tank itself. It waste the techs. Time and the customer. It took 9 days from the 1st call to actual repair . That is too long. No hot water for all those days. Need to shorten the time.

This was the 4th time a repairman came to fix our Sears dryer. Different parts were ordered and it didnt,t fix the problem. This time our guy had a similar problem 4 yrs ago & knew it was a fuse. His experience and pride in his job got our dryer fixed.

I have a maintenace contract on my appliance. Had the yearly maintenance done and three days latter, the appliance stopped draining water. Called 4 times for service and was told it would be 3-4 weeks. Each time we called we couldnt get the appt moved up. We were offered some kind of incentive for our trouble. That is not what we wanted we wanted the appliance fixed. Twice we could barely understand the other person on the end of the line because of the very thick foreign accent. Actually, we couldnt understand the person and finally hung up. Was that a tactic to get us off the phone? Why am I paying for a maintenance agreement if I have to wait nearly a month for service? Finally someone showed up to fix a part ordered during the first yearly maintenance call. Though we had made a call just the day before his arrival to confirm he would look at the draining problem, he arrived only to say he was never told anything about the draining problem. Seriously!! Well turned out the service person took the time to see if he could quickly diagnose the problem with the draining. In 15 min, he had worked his magic under the applicance, cleaned out a few things, put it back together and it works! My point is, why did I have to wait three weeks for a 15 min fix! Why did the service phone calls avoid my concerns and promise me things they never really seemed to take care of. Very very unhappy with the service process. Very very happy with the concerned repair person who took a few extra moments to make sure he did what he could to see if it was an easy fix. My hats off to him.

Way too expensive for a repair that was due to inferior quality original parts. An Elite appliance should have robust quality, not inferior quality. Even repair technician admitted original quality was sub par.
Did not leave any paper work for the preventive maintenance work for central air conditioner. I was not home during service time and I have no idea what he actually did. My mom does not know what he did.
