Allan McGuy responded to my early morning call. I reported trouble with the AC not cooling. He was very kind when he discovered my filter which should have been replaced YEARS ago, and many times since. He replaced my filter, tested my system, and left my home much cooler and in better shape! Jim and his crew performed a clean install of a Lenox mini split unit in the bonus room in our house above the garage. We have had issues with keeping this room cool last summer, and the window units were not able to keep the room below low 80’s. After 2 weeks, this unit that they recommended has been working flawlessly, even with some days in the 90’s so far. They did a great job all around and completed the install (including electrical) in about 4-5 hours. We got a great deal on the price through Costco and they even took care of some of the state rebates available on the unit. I would recommend Joyce if considering one of these units.

Nick called before he arrived. Positive, upbeat service dude. Explained what he would be doing, checking furnace status & inspection and helped figure out the issue (the service call) with the furnace fan running when A/C was programmed ‘off’. It was the thermostat programming!! On 3rd Tab drop down for fan, it was on Circuit, when it needed to be on Auto!!!There should be an “off” instead of “auto”!

While Im sure they did not try to take advantage of me the price they are quoting is the same price as a good quality used car.. I believe the Tech was accurate and that the unit needs to be replaced.. I dont see how I can afford it and I dont see what options I have.. Corey Pierpont and his small crew installed a new Mitsubishi mini-split system at my house 8 days ago with 7 indoor heads and 2 outdoor units. I spoke with a total of 5 contractors for this home project, then circled back to the first and hired Joyce because of design, product, and price. (And thanks to Ray Creaney for getting back to me right away with an updated estimate and helping to get this scheduled, even providing me with a spec sheet after a follow up question before the installation.)The work was completed in the 3.5 day time as stated and they cleaned up very well as they went. Theres just new equipment, a little sawdust in basement, and a few bent flowers that will bounce back next year to show they were here. They even helped me with a higher quality dryer vent tube that was interrupted by the new AC lines in the basement.I believe that this project may have been a little less than traditional or a not so straightforward design in some areas due to challenges with our homes layout and construction, but we now have outdoor units that are out of view and a very nice finished product on the inside. Corey provided some alternative thoughts on unit placement on day 1 before they broke out the drills so I think we have the best set up here. Good work! Very pleased!

He took the time to find a very small leak and was able to repair it. He was professional, friendly and very informative about what was going on with the system and what he was able to do to correct it. We are always happy to recommend Joyce Cooling and Heating to friends, and crew like Tony are a big part of that.

Normally an AC problem in August cannot be described as a good experience but this was as good as it gets. I called on Monday and got an Wednesday appointment. The techs were professional, friendly, informative and helpful. They were able to diagnose an intermittent problem, provide a solution on the spot and propose several options to resolve the root cause.

Called Joyce Cooling when our AC broke. They promptly responded and sent an engineer out to assess the work required to fix it. Soon after, Ray Creaney got in touch with me and provided a quote for the services. We decided to go ahead with the work, even though the quote was not the most competitive, price wise.Got an appointment 2 weeks out (we wanted something earlier), and were prepared to wait it out. Soon after Joyce cooling called us again, and said that they had an earlier slot available, which we gladly accepted.Calvin, came out to our house promptly at the stated hour and day (5 stars for punctuality), and started on the project. It took him less than a day to get our AC installed and running up to spec, and to our satisfaction. Calvin and team, cleaned up after themselves, and left the area as clean as it was before they arrived.The service rendered was professional, courteous and delivered in a timely manner. For this, I give Calvin (and the entire team that helped us with our project) 5 stars. I didnt mind that their charges were a little higher than other quotes, the work and the service was top-class.

I couldn’t be more impressed with the professionalism and honest work that we received from Allan M. of Joyce Cooling & Heating. One week after we were told that we were in need of an entire new furnace and AC condenser costing $15k, it turns out all that was needed was a good cleaning. There’s a possibility we need an additional small repair (txv replacement costing around $2k) but it sure beats the ridiculous quote we received before. We’ve used Joyce Cooling & Heating for 8 years now and will continue to do so. It’s nice to know there’s still honest/hardworking people out there not trying to take advantage of you.

John came on time, was friendly, cheerful, and performed the needed service. I am not sure why the air filters were changed when they were only half way through their 3 month lifespan (date was written on the filters), but it may be company policy to do so at the time of servicing. I would not hesitate to have John come to my house again.

The Joyce team performed a mini split installation in a bonus room above the garage. They did a great job coordinating the install. They had the electricians here at the same time so the complete install took only 1 day. We have had other installations where you need multiple days for different teams to come such the electrician. The minisplit is working great and keeping our room cool.

Joyce installed a 4 head mini split system a little over a year ago that we have been very happy with. Today the unit in our living suddenly starting gushing water out. I called Joyce and within a couple hours James B arrived and quickly determined it had leaked refrigerant. He refilled it, with a uv dye added so they can find the leak, verified the system and went on his way. Fast, professional service, covered by warranty. We had a new ac unit installed by another HVAC company and it turned into a complete disaster. The unit was never charged, it froze up and flooded the attic. Then it took out the ceiling, walls and the floor.Then their insurance company didnt want to pay for their screw up.It took months to get the issues and the repairs done. This was a year ago.Moving forward to this year. The ac unit failed because it lost its charge because of poor soldering on the freon piping.Now we are with Joyce and wont have to deal with substandard contractors and extermely poor quality workmanship.
