I was member in 2019 and 2020. I paid $90 a year for renewal and 5.50 month. I relocated and canceled my membership late 2020. Ive used the about 5 times in 2 years. Now I get a get a bill from a collection agency for $92 ? I paid over $300 over a 2 year period for using the gym, never a late payment. In order to cancel your membership a you must send a REGISTERED LETTER ? to corporate HQ notifying them youre canceling your membership, in which I did. However, I did not follow the contract and notify them in advance and I was billed. THIS IS A GYM, WHY CANT YOU EITHER CALL OR CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP ONLINE ? I can cancel a credit card in one phone call.SOUNDS LIKE EASY MONEY FOR THE GYM.I will be contacting the City of Naperville and see if they think this is good practice.The OWNER SHOULD BE ASHAMED.There are plenty of better gyms in the area.STAY AWAY !!!Im waiting to see a response from either the owner or the manger of the gym ???

This has been a great gym for me the past 4 years. I don’t require childcare or a rock climbing wall anymore. (I used to) They have a great set of free weights, machines, treadmills, as well as tanning beds and a small sauna. The price is very reasonable, and the place is always clean. I have worked-out there through the entire pandemic, and never caught covid. I highly recommend. P. S. Their trainers are very physically fit, unlike other gyms I have been a member of. I have a hard time taking advice from a trainer that is not toned and fit, but only possesses the knowledge of what workout to prescribe. Great price, friendly and helpful staff. I was very impressed with the amount of equipment this gym offers. They are practicing social distance and keeping the equipment clean. There is a sauna and hydro massage that I enjoy after a good workout. I would recommend this gym to everyone!

Avolve Fitness is a great gym, with all the equipment you need for either cardio, weight training or even Kettle Bell workouts. The staff is very friendly and willing to help. Lee, the new manager, has been very helpful with billing questions and is motivated to constantly improve the gym. He even built an Avolve App to track user workouts and provide ideas for other workouts. Overall Avolve is a great gym at a fraction of the price of other gyms

I’ve been a member here for over 6 months and have had no complaints. The staff is fantastic, the facilities are always clean, and the Community is very welcoming. Manager Lee is especially great at making sure everything is running smoothly and making sure everyone is able to workout effectively throughout this pandemic.

I’ve been a member for a little over a year at the Naperville location and I have nothing but great feedback for this gym. Everything is always immaculately clean and organized. Even the weights are consistently re-racked. Cleanliness has been especially important during the pandemic and I have yet to be disappointed. Even the bathrooms smell great which is rare for a men’s locker room. As far as the employee customer service, my experience with Dom the GM has always been above standard. You can tell he loves what he does and truly cares about making the guest experience welcoming, enjoyable and motivating. He’s even given me free tips on how I can improve my fitness. I’ve seen him go above and beyond for other guests too by making sure they’re satisfied with their membership and taken care of. I would chose this gym over any big box gym 10 times out of 10. Space has never been an issue, I’ve never had to wait for a machine or DB and am able to get through my workout quickly and efficiently. As far as the equipment provided, I can always complete my workout plan with what’s there. I can’t say enough positive things about this gym and the people that work there (especially Dom) and am grateful I’ve found a home gym. Would strongly recommend this gym to anyone looking for something above industry standards.

Please read and absolutely do not join Avolve Fitness!My daughter and I went into the South Naperville Avolve location (in person) and asked the manager (Dom) to close her account in January of 2020 as she was heading off to college.-The following month I was still receiving charges so we went back in (in person) and the manager (Dom) assured that it would be taken care of.-I contacted the new manager (Lee) in the fall of 2020 once I noticed I was still receiving monthly charges.In 3 + months since I contacted Lee he has not been able to assist me in correcting the mistake of his predecessorI spent three days calling the customer service line (referred to by Lee) and once I spoke to someone, they stated I could not be credited as the manager did not make notes in the account (What?)Additionally, I spoke to 2 of my neighbors who also used to belong to Avolve at this location and they said they were charged for another three months after they had cancelled their membershipsTo date, I still have not received credit for my improper chargesI went into Avolve twice in person so I did my job twice with no results from Avolve. I am not sure what else we as consumers can do to simply close an account and implore you to find another place to workout as Avolve Fitness is poorly run, is not customer centric, and has fraud built right into their operating model.

The prices for what used to be a cheap no thrills gym has gone way up. I used to pay $16 a month with a yearly fee of $50. Now its $25 each month plus the $50 each year.Nothing has changed mind you. Just the name. Go figure.

Great friendly staff very helpful with the sign up process. I was only back from college for a month and they went over all of the options that I had. Highly recommend!

DO NOT JOIN AVOLVE FITNESS – They are a criminal operation. We quit this gym in February of 2020 when Covid hit. They will not respond to emails or calls about cancelling our membership. They keep billing our credit card and it has been a year long fight. I have seen other posts about this same activity with other former members. Zero star ratings should be an option. DEFINITELY AVOID THIS PLACE !!

Very unprofessional. During the covid-19 lockdown I was not able to call the gym to cancel my membership as the gym was closed but then when it opened they charged me for annual maintenance fee which is for the next 1 year and its different from the monthly fee and then I called them to cancel the membership but they wont refund the annual fee.There is still more....When I signed the agreement they never told me about cancellation fee and then when I cancelled my membership over phone they told me that all dues are paid and not a word about the cancellation fee and they also said there will not be any more charges and then after few months they sent me a collection notice for a $50 cancellation fee and threatening to report it to credit bureau.I called their corporate office and explained everything and they never showed any sympathy and kept on saying you need to pay $50 for cancelling your membership, you need to pay $39 for annual fee even if you cancel, you need to pay monthly fee for next month.Very poorly run please stay far away from these crooks there are plenty of bigger and better gyms in the area.You have been warned

This is the perfect workout facility. They have everything that you need and nothing that you dont. Eric has put together the ideal gym for working professionals that need a quality workout. Paul is a terrific trainer. I am meeting my fitness goals with their help. Thank you guys!

It used to be a great little workout place. Had new clean equipment, great location, not too busy in the mornings.Until the owner decided to do a cheap reno, ruined the place completely. Took too long, bathrooms were closed for a long time. Equipment was moved around all the time. I even found a open box cutter blade on the floor once. Lots of unfinished work, cracked tiles, fire in the sauna, the mat has a big bulge right in the middle of the gym, and the list goes on and on. I would not recommend this place. I will cancel my membership shortly. I know it’s tough times, I wish them the best of luck. They should have valued their customers when the had a chance.

Staff was very professional and courteous, the facility was clean and well maintained.

I have had nothing but positive experiences at Avolve Fitness. The gym has absolutely changed into a gem. The people who work there have always been friendly and always willing to help. They completely remodeled the club recently and the upgrades are amazing. I love the towel service and the locker rooms are beautiful. I have worked with Nancy for the last 3 months and my results have been amazing. I’ve lost 15 lbs and dropped 4 pants sizes. I would recommend Avolve Fitness to my friends and family.

Gym is of good quality for the membership fee per month. Where I had a major issue was when they charged me a 90 dollar renewal fee after my 1 year contract. I called them to have them refund it and to cancel my membership. They told me the only way to cancel is to come in and talk to a manager. I now live an hour away from this gym and they told me the manager is only there until 5 during the week and isn’t there on weekends. I don’t have time to drive an hour away to cancel a membership to a gym I haven’t used in 6 months.

So we havent been back since the covid19 outbreak but we truly miss going. The place is very clean and organized despite the renovations at the time. I believe that they will do everything possible to keep their members safe during this unprecedented event.

Love the equipment (other than the treadmills are in the sun in the morning, not sure about afternoon). Staff was very polite. Cost is comparable to other gyms for regular membership. Personal training seems high.Why I gave this a three is the fact that it was disgustingly dirty by the stretching area. Not just a few days worth of dirt and dust bunnies, I’m saying I couldn’t even guess how long it’s been, especially in the corners.I had to use four paper towels to clean off a mat I wanted to use because they all had footprints all over them, as well as footprints of dirt/sand in that area as well.As I was leaving, a gentleman was starting to clear that area. I asked him if he was going to clean because it was so disgusting and he said yes he was. He said he just got there yesterday and noticed it. not sure if he was a manager from another location or what.I’ve been to the Darien and Crest Hill locations neither were dirty.

These guys are dacoits., been charging me for the last 13-14 month inspite of me cancelling it more than a year back . I also have email confirmation from the manger last year it is my badthat I trusted them and never checked my bank account until last month when I found out that these guys never stopped charging me all these 13-14 months. When I confronted them on person the new manager promised to take up the case with their corporate office and get back to me and today I receive a mail“ Good morning Rajashree,I finally heard back from corporate and they will not be issuing a refund.At this point I have the final word from corporate and they wont be changing their minds.I understand me sympathizing with you does not help, but I hope you understand how sorry I am I couldnt help you more.

My favorite part about this gym is the environment. It’s extremely clean and the staff is very inviting. They have personal bottles of sanitizer and towels to clean machines before and after use, as well as sanitizer/cleaner with towels throughout the gym. They’re doing everything to ensure cleanliness. I’ve never had to worry about equipment either, everything is always up and working.

I like this gym. Its medium sized and is usually not crowded but is never empty. They maintain cleanliness, keep the machines and equipment working, and the employees are eager to greet and help you. They seem to care about constant improvement and self-review.

Great gym with top notch personal training!! If you are serious about getting results this is the place to go. Justin has helped me lose over 20lbs in the first 2 months and I’m the classic I never worked out before person. My original goal was to lose 30 lbs in a year but I might be able to do it in 3 months now. Wish I could give this gym more than 5 stars.

Been a member since 2017 and by far one of the best clubs in the area. The club is always super clean and the staff is awesome!!! I love the new changes with the remodel and the upgraded amenities like towel service. I just can’t wait for them to open up the new sauna. I have always kept my membership at lifetime because of the sauna but with Avolve adding a sauna I’ll be cancelling Lifetime as soon as it opens. This is a MUST check out location if you are looking to change things up and to achieve those new fitness goals!!

Where do I begin?! This gym went through a renovation and my God was it worth the wait. Its so clean, the aesthetic is appealing, equipment is new and constantly being serviced. The sauna is a great addition and I always go after my grueling workouts. Folks are the front desk are very kind and welcoming. I had the pleasure of meeting Mike (the owner of the gym) and from our conversation, I could tell he is dedicated towards the satisfaction of the gym goers. For the value and proximity to some healthy post-workout options, couldnt ask for more!

I’ve been going here for the past 4 months and this is the best place for serious workouts in the Naperville area. The staff is beyond awesome here as if you need a spot or anything they are more than helpful. I’ve had memberships at Lifetime fitness & LA fitness all at the same time, but I like this gym much better as it’s cleaner and not near as packed as those big gyms.

Avolve is a great small club with many of the amenities a “big box” club would offer. I love the small “boutique” feel and the welcoming atmosphere present at Avolve.

I have been a member here for almost 3 years. Paul is an excellent trainer, the management and staff are super friendly, the equipment has been kept up to date. Also, the new decor is great, the amenities are fantastic and the prices are definitely reasonable! I would highly recommend this gym to anyone considering a membership.

Come here with my boyfriend when we are back in the suburbs because it is very affordable. Small space, but has everything you need for a good workout- whether cardio or weight lifting or something else. The staff keeps the floor clean and the renovations/new equipment are a big improvement! Very friendly front staff as well.

Avolve has evolved (pun intended) from an inexpensive place to get a quick lift 24/7, into a top tier fitness center. I really like the sauna they’ve added and the equipment overall is very nice. Best part by far is my trainer Paul Tolentino. He’s very knowledgeable and motivation but most of all he always has a smile on his face when I walk in. I feel like that’s important to have in a trainer.

We were members for about 4 yrs. The new owner Chris is not flexible to the established terms we agreed upon when we enrolled. He keeps saying “I don’t know” when you show your receipt and will talk over you when you try to explain. If you try to get the number of his boss to clarify the matter he will say “ I can’t give out my boss’s number” . Stay away!!! He just lost 2 clients to LA fitness!! They have better equipments a friendly staff and a huge variety of classes that they offer. AVOLVE only has equipments and a rude inflexible owner!!!

Great Gym! The staff is amazing especially the General Manager, Sean.I switched over from Xsport after they cancelled towel service and the gym became filthy. This gym is an absolute gem. They have regular towel service and cold towel service for after your workout. No plans on switching gyms any time soon.

This club excels where most other clubs fail. The staff is absolutely amazing at this facility. The gym has a small boutique feeling but they do a phenomenal job creating a very luxurious setting. I sign up about 2 weeks ago and every time I walk in I’m greeted by my first name and asked if I would like a towel for my workout. I had my husband come try it out over the weekend and he decided to switch from Xsport. I honestly was not expecting this type of facility when I first joined. Very impressed with everything so far! 👍

I canceled my membership back in June when they were workout anytime and looked at my credit card statements to see that they have been charging me this whole time. Also none of the staff have been helpful in canceling my membership. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS WORKOUT FACILITY. Absolutely ridiculous.
