Wish I could give ZERO stars.They lost our reservation and didn’t seem to care.Douglas continued to say they always over book because people don’t show.Called the corporate office and was Told if they don’t have cars available nothing they can do. Very poor customer service all the way around.

Terrible Customer Service!!!!I made reservations at this location due to wife being involved in a car accident. Everything was confirmed and I received a confirmation number and email only to get to the location only to be told that they didnt see my reservation and that they didnt have any cars anyways. So since no cars was available I asked if she could call another location to see if they had cars so I can transfer my reservations over and she told me that other locations didnt have cars. She didnt even bother to call and confirm. NO HELP WHATSOEVER. IT WAS MORE OF A WELL WE CANT HELP YOU BYE! CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY CONFIRMED MY RESERVATIONS AT THE LOCATION AND ASKED IF EVERYTHING WAS FINE WITH THE CAR AND I TOLD THEM I HAD NO CAR. SHE EXPLAINED TO ME THAT I SHOULDVE RECEIVED A PHONE CALL TO INFORM ME THAT THE LOCATION HAD NO VEHICLES AND I SHOULDVE BEEN OFFERED SOME TYPE OF ALTERNATIVE. THE YOUNG LADY CLEARLY LACKED CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. SHE DIDNT EVEN BOTHER TO ASK FOR MY RESERVATION NUMBER OR NOTHING. UNFORTUNATELY THERES NOTHING I CAN DO AT THIS POINT BUT TO INFORM ANYBODY THATS LOOKING AT THIS LOCATION FOR RENTAL CAR PURPOSES THINK TWICE BEFORE CHOOSING THIS LOCATION!

I wish I could give this location zero stars. Upon driving up to pick up my rental car there was so much ice, I was afraid to walk to the door. I walked extremely cautiously only to be yelled at by the lady who worked for Hertz for touching all the cars. I was touching the cars to help with my balance while walking on a thick sheet of ice and snow that they didnt even attempt to salt. Once getting in there was only one worker and she did not acknowledge anyone when they entered the establishment. The customer in front of me informed them they had a service dog, the lady told them that the service dog wasnt allowed in any Hertz vehicle and that did not sit nicely with me, because I also have a service dog. I politely asked when I approached the desk if I had heard correctly if service dogs were not allowed in their vehicles and and she became very irritated saying you just heard me tell them no, why would be any different for you. She then informed me they did not have the size of car I had reserved and tried to give me a smaller car for the same price as the bigger model I had reserved. At this point I asked her to call the other Hertz in Naperville to see if they could better assist me and I went there and they were amazing. I highly recommend not going to this location and taking your business to the 910 E. Ogden location.

Though this is a small office, however they are very professional, time savvy staff. They offer free upgrades whenever possible. No non sense conversation, to the point. Reserve your car, be on time, inspect it well before taking and get it inspected at the time of return, thats it. This center won me over other rental car operators. If you are coming from corporate, then you may have pretty decent discounts. Drive safe.

The worst customer service! I called to check the availability and rate on a rental. The phone rang about 15 times before anyone answered. I was then told that they were completely sold out for what I was looking for during the time period. I was about to hang up when the associate told me can I place you in a brief hold. I agreed with the hope that he was going to check the surrounding area or try to help me out. 20 MINUTES LATER I WAS STILL ON HOLD! I hung up and called back only to be told I am sorry about that were busy .Seriously !? It is common sense and common curtesy to let the customer know what you are doing before placing them on hold i.e. May I place you on hold, I am with another customer, or Ill will be right with you as soon as ______. DO NOT SAY youre going to put me on Hold for a brief moment when you have no intention of getting back to me within 20 min. Or say do you mind calling back in _____ min! Anything will be better than making a customer wait that long without knowing what is going on or why they are being placed on hold!To John the sales associate not sure if it was your first day on the job but you REALLY need to step up your customer service skills or find another job!

State Farm handled a claim and asked me to rent at this place as it was nearest to gerber collision ... I had to wait for 1 hrs and 45 minutes after the scheduled time for someone to come pick me up.This could have been handled better ... if the person had not claimed that the car is on its way every 15-30 minutes I called the location.Bad service.

I always rent from Hertz and have had a great experience. I would rate Hertz with a 4 star for their service and for the quality of their cars. But, I am so hesitant to give even a single star for this location. I have visited twice to this location and the experience was extremely bad both times. First time, I have reserved an Intermediate car for my trip to Columbus. On the day of rental, I was given an economy car, with a stinky cigarette smell and when asked, I was told that is the only available car. I usually get an upgrade if they are sold out on the reserved category. But, was never heard about downgrading from the reserved category. The representative, I believe his name was Alex, told me that it is up to me to pick up or leave it. Since, I had to be in Columbus the next day for a meeting, I was forced to pick up the car. Hertz OHare location was kind enough to replace another car, when I stopped by on my way to Columbus.Second time, I had a monthly rental car from Hertz. Since it is a winter time and it was a travel on a snowy day, my car was full of mud and dust. I called this location to check if they can do a car wash for me and the representative (John) from this location, told me to come and we fixed an appointment for the next day at 12.30pm. When I went to the location the next day, the representative who was there on duty told me that they dont have a car wash in this location and cant help me. Finally, after a long explanation to him about the discussion I had with John, he called John and confirmed about our appointment. Without a car wash available in this location, not sure on what basis I was told to come here for a car wash and John told the representative to give a water wash with a hose connected to a tap, which had absolutely no impact on the look of my car from what it was before.I would highly recommend to find a different Hertz location, unless you want your day to be ruined.

Its clean but they charge you like crazy for everything. My friend made the tank fuel even though he got it empty they still charged him fuel. Its expensive here. Go to enterprise they are friendlier and much much cheaper

I rent from this location..alot. just had car for a month..the guy at desk is very helpful and kind! There is no complaints about service..but the first car i was given was broke..not sure why..it was brand new..but they quickly switched cars w no problem.. easy to call and extend your rental as well.

Hated it. I called in advance to arrange for a car rental to be picked up at White Eagle Body Shop in Naperville at 8:00am. I waited until 8:20 and called them. They didnt acknowledge the delay, dos not apologize, and said we will be there shortly. I asked what is shortly since Ive waited now 20min. He didnt give a time and said as soon as I can. Terrible service. What is the point of making arrangements in advance if they dont honor it? While waiting, Enterprise showed up for a 8:30 pickup at 8:25 for another customer. Now thats service. Wish I arranged rental with Enterprise. Update: Pickup is finally here at 8:45am. This is 45 min later than the previously arranged time of 8am. Im severely late for work thanks to this Hertz locations poor service. Ok, Im editing again because it just gets worse. Driver brought me to the store location and No Ones There! The door is locked and no one is here. Now Im waiting again. God knows how long I have to wait now...

Wow, How do you rent a compact car for a week at $33 a day and end up with a $1200 bill? My son thought it would be an easy rental so he quit worrying about his broken down car and rented one through Hertz (1580 W. Ogden Ave Naperville, IL), until he could buy another car. Im writing because he used my card with the idea that $350.00 would be put on it, and $200.00 credited when the car was returned. When he got ready to turn it in, my son asked if he could return it closer to where his new car was being purchased. Of course, they said. He specifically asked if there would be additional charges. He was told - Eleven dollars and seventy five cents. My son asked, per day. They said, total. Well, get your decimal point right! They charged $1175.00 to my credit card. When the main office for Hertz was called they responded that they were sorry for the confusion, so they would only charge him $700.00. WHAT!!!!!! Are you kidding?! How is that alright. Well Hertz, this is not right! If you think this poor review is the end of this, think again. I will not stop letting others know of your negligent, lying, unethical practices until my account is credited the $1175.00 you stole from it.

You dont want to go to Hertz they never called me to tell me if I was getting a car. They forgot when I called them there like oh sorry we forgot to call well call you if we get one in. So instead I went across the street to go to Enterprise they came to pick me up dropped me off to go back to my car and voided my gas for me.

The folks serving this non descript location are awesome and I noticed that they try and do their best under circumstances but then having rented primarily from airport locations, this location left much to be desired in terms of clean cars or availability of cars per service. The rating is primarily for the condition of cars and not the employees themselves.

Definitely 0 stars for this place. The vehicle was in terrible shape, then they charged me a $60 fee without explanation. When you try calling them to inquire about the unexpected charges, they either put you on hold in an endless loop or wont return your call. Worst Hertz location I have ever been to.

Hi. Wanted to give 0 stars but that option does not exist - so one star. Rented a monthly rental which I paid for in advance.a) I call them a day ahead to confirm that as a HLE (Hertz Local Edition) they would pick me up as I had requested that when booking my rental under Free Pick up. Am less than 2 miles from the location. Good I had called on Friday afternoon, I was told no pick up on Saturdays it seems coz they work fewer hours and have only a couple of employees. Wonder what does Hertz expect - The customer to walk to the location? Anyhow so I asked how do I get there - Thankfully Uber exists so I was told Uber it . Am thinking they cover the cab/uber charge - upto 10 bucks. Why not suggest it in the same breath when declining to pick up a customer. Why does a customer have to suggest options.Then I show up at 8:59 am on Saturday at the Hertz location - It is one minute to opening time at 9 am and what do I see - One staff member is there at the counters. And that too he is on the phone. In the next couple of minutes atleast 5 customers walked in. He still stays on the phone haggling with an ex customer I think, and the tension builds up with 5 customers in the Q. Thankfully am the first in the Q - so I get Serviced first.b) The Service : The car was 3/8 on gas, I get a Rental Record saying Gas: 8/8. Really? Anyways, too many people in the Q and I dont want to be rude - I dont mention take off the rental 10 bucks on account of Uber pick up - Dont want an argument. Also, I booked a B class car hoping to get an upgrade one class higher car (Corolla or equivalent) as a Hertz Gold Member. Well Guess what this location decides to downgrade me and gives me an A class car - The absolutely entry class vehicle. Probably penalizing me for a prepaid 495 dollars a month car rental and knowing am stuck coz I did a prepaid non refundable booking. Also, unlike most locations where the rep walks around the car with you to ensure any dents scratches etc are noted in writing - Well no such thing here at this location. Am hoping they dont penalize me for anything when I return the car.c) I specifically go Monday afternoon - hoping it would quiet and nice so I can chat about correcting my gas on the rental record, getting money off my ride to the rental place for a pick up previous saturday. Guess what, the same one individual is the one staffing the counters! A couple of customers ahead of me so I wait. Well I bring up my rental record and say hey the gas wasnt 8/8 - it was 3/8 - he promptly punches something in the computers and before am done saying also take off the uber fare of 10 bucks, he prints out a new rental record with gas : 3/8. Almost in a hurry to get rid of me! :)d) When I point out no mention of taking off uber fare he again punches something in the computer - and says it is taken care of. May be Coz I dont get a fresh Rental Record print out suggesting it indeed is taken off. I would get to know when I go to return my car. I mention about going around the car and noting all the dings and paint chipped off etc and he says well he cant do that on an active rental. REALLY? I should have insisted on a walk around and noting on the car when renting. A lesson for me for the future.e) I ask hey am planning to use Hertz to buy a car - Hertz Rent to Buy - He is least interested in me still. His location has atleast one camry which they have listed for a sale. He just wants to get over the conversation and go back to doing whatever keeps him busy and happy.f) The best part yest - So when I mention I got this rental for a month can I return early for a prorated cost if I buy a car from Hertz Rent to Buy program, he mentions sure you can return early. Wow that was an answer without me even finishing the Question! Am not satisfied - so ask can you check my rental record and confirm - thats when he looks into his computer and says oh you have a prepaid rental - no refunds for an early return. REALLY? The answer changes in less than 30 seconds?Avoid the location!

The service is terrible. Waited over an hour for them to process a rental that I thought and they told me was under an insurance claim, only to find out afterwards that it was not being processed under the claim. Unless you dont mind poor service and a long wait, I would stay away. Glad I actually voided the rental (after waiting too long) and got a ride.
