I refuse to rent anywhere else! Staff is awesome and they have the best inventory. They are helpful should you need anything or any great recommendations.

Amazing staff that was super helpful about visiting the island. The only way to go is to rent a Jeep with chairs and an ice chest. Filler up at the market and head out. Make sure you have at least 2 days to get it all in.

Rented a Smart car because we missed the noon ferry and wanted to see the far corners of the island. Was given a special price due to these crcumstances.

Great experience with Affordable Rentals! Our friend referred us to Skip who took great care of us. We rented two scooters for a day and really enjoyed our time on the island. The staff was very helpful. Cant wait to go back and rent a Jeep from them. The Jeeps looked beautiful!

We rented a Jeep Wrangler for the day to drive around town and get to Great Point. The staff was friendly and gave us detailed instructions for beach driving. The total was about $320 after tax for a 24 hour rental period. We were satisfied with the vehicle and had a great trip.

Highly recommend, nice friendly staff. Car was perfect for looking around the island and going to the beach for the day. Was able to get a cooler and ice. When we dropped the car back the following morning it was pouring rain and the guy at the desk kindly asked if he could drop us to our next stop. We were going for breakfast and he took us to his favourite place Black Eyed Susan’s. Couldn’t ask for better. #localsKnowBest

I have rented from Affordable twice now and have been nothing but satisfied and impressed. The team is friendly and knowledgeable.Recently I rented a Jeep Wrangler from them with the plan to explore some of Nantucket’s famous OSV beaches. They gave me a simple explanation of where I should and shouldn’t go and included plenty of information along with a map. An explanation of the Jeeps 4WD and soft top and I was well equipped. Just be sure to ask questions if you are confused about something.Their vehicles are brand new and in fantastic condition. I believe they replace them annually. The Jeep was unstoppable on the sand and fun around the island.Do note:Be sure to reserve FAR in advance. I recommend 2-3 mo in advance during peak season if you want a particular vehicle.Also understand car rental on Nantucket is expensive. You will pay a premium anywhere on the island(for everything), cars included. It is worth it to explore other areas like Siasconset, Bartlett Farm, and Great Point.

Insane price... We ended up paying $500 for only using the car for 3 hours. But the service and cars are excellent. No hustle pick up and return.

Fantastically nice! We started out reserving a jeep for two days, and upon getting closer to the date realized it was going to be a terribly rainy weekend so decided to only do one day. They were happy to make the change. Then, the day before we were to arrive I emailed because my daughter had broken her arm and we couldnt make it on our trip. I expected to pay for part of the rental because it was so close in time but she was so nice and understanding that she just said, next time you come, rent the jeep then. Such great service and nice people!

Great place to rent a car on Nantucket. Right off the ferry docks. Friendly staff. Renting cars on Nantucket is expensive.

Someone on their staff stole my sunglasses. Fact. I got there after my in-laws dropped the rental off. Minutes later. All of a sudden theyre gone and nobody can find them in the center console. Dishonest staff. Was told that when the car was dropped off, it was being cleaned right away. I wasnt there, but it doesnt take a detective to know that the boy pocketed an expensive pair of Maui Jims. Owner advised that his business was family run and thought it petty that we would call them out for this. What, family run businesses are infallible and dont have dishonest people working there? Please. Bernie Madoff, Ferdinand Marcos, Clintons, Kim Jong-Un, Nawaz Sharif, etc. are all family run that are known to be corrupt. What makes this business any different? Just because youre family run, doesnt mean there arent dishonest people working for you.

Renting the jeep was quick and efficient. Staff explained what we needed to do in order to take jeep onto the beach. Pricey but so is everything on Nantucket.

The gentleman that answered the phone spent quite a bit of time with me giving me options. I am a pilot flying into the island just for a few hours. But if I ever come into town for longer I will definitely rent a car from them. James

Affordable Rentals of Nantucket ruined our visit. The manager failed to give us full operating instructions for our scooter and we were stranded at night as a result. When we finally made it back to the shop the next day the manager claimed that he had given us complete instructions and that BOTH OF US must not have heard him. His lack of accountability, failure to take responsibility, and just plain lack of care for the customer was truly shocking. There are other options for scooter and vehicle rental on the island. Dont let Affordable Rentals of Nantucket ruin your visit like they ruined ours.

I called for a quote, the receptionist was incredibly rude, initially telling me they had no cars available for the week I requested. After further clarification they had multiple cars available for rent. Beware- affordable rental implies $340/day.
