DO NOT GET NAILS DONE HERE, WASTE OF MONEY!!No offense at all but to be truthfully honest, these are the worst nails I have ever gotten done. I asked the lady if I can get them narrow and straight but she seemed bothered that I asked for a fill, after trying to fix them I asked her again if she could make them straight and even because they are super lumpy and not straight from any angle she was a little bothered again, and finally after polishing them she couldn’t even paint my whole nail and complained again. I am not one to ever complain but since I spent 40$ for this I truly believe that they aren’t professional and don’t enjoy doing their work or taking their time aswell. I’m only warning other so you can know to NOT waste your money because you will be unsatisfied with your results.

I called several places and they were booked. Took a chance with this one, that wasnt far from my place and Im so happy I took a chance! My feet are STILL looking amazing. Highly recommend this place!

Just tried this place for the first time. Very pleasant experience. We had not made an appointment, but they got us in and completed our pedicures in a timely manner. Hoi and Q are very pleasant people to talk with.The chairs were very comfortable and had a good massage. Made an appointment for next month on our way out.

My favorite place to get a pedicure, Helen and Hoi are the best. Helen is very gentle and my toes always look great.

First of all they reuse the pumice stones on people that just screams a health hazard. Secondly the husband and daughter dont know what they are doing i seriously cant get over how Bad it was. The daughter layered my nail polish so much it looks like I have acrylics on the tips of my nails (I got a French manicure) the mom had to come and fix both my mom and mine. Nice people terrible quality.

The nails were crooked and while she was doing them it hurt like hell after a couple hours the paint peeled and most of the nails fell off so I took the rest off which was way to easy they were like she put on the Wal-Mart press ons I do not recomend here

Will not return!! Unsanitary!!! Using same foot scrub brushes over and over again. Utensils are not cleaned between customers. Nails are crooked and for $45 should have been more thorough!!

I didn’t quite catch the lady’s name, but she did my husband’s pedicure and he was very happy. They were personable, friendly, kind enough to squeeze us in on short notice, and the conversation was fun and amusing. I will definitely go back.

My manicure looks awful. She didn’t know what she was doing and went for it anyway.

My 2nd time visiting, Hoy helped me both times. The 1st time she told me i needed a new set because they were to dirty underneath, ( i had a new set 4wks earlier from another city) & that i must have the gel coat.$55. Gel peeled w/in 10days. Todays visit she says i needed another new set, that they were too old & i need gel! I said no, just fill them & regular polish. Scolled me that gels better last long time. I asked for squared .. Another clinet comes in & she was just wanting regular polish too cuz her gel lasted 3 days. Hoy was rude to both of us from then...& i got rounded edges. And uneven bumpy nails & rushed paint job. Onto finding another new place...Lost my business.

She cut my finger and made all my nails uneven and not the way I wanted and not even the right color the lady glued my fingers together and they didnt change the water in between the people that were getting a pedicure

They weren’t straight or matching. Two days after three of my nails broke due to me putting on chapstick, not because of anything crazy. They didn’t want to fix them, but did anyway. Now after couple days later another one broke and peeled my whole nail off and my pinky nail too and I can’t even get another nail on top of them because they hurt so bad and there’s no nail. Never going back. Gross. Worst experience ever.

I started going to Lucky Star because it’s convenient to my home. I’ve continued coming here for years because the staff are friendly and professional. Hoi, the owner, is always welcoming and knows exactly what I want. As a nurse, I spend a lot of time on my feet, so a pedicure is not a luxury—it’s a necessity. The foot and leg massage are so relaxing! I especially appreciate Hoi’s creativity with nail art. I always get compliments.

I had an appointment at 3 and didn’t get helped until 4 something. The lady said that someone had called out so I understood and was being nice to her about it. The nails were absolutely terrible though. The man there burned me twice. My nails are so uneven. The polish and the acrylic are on my skin. The nail polish is extremely unevenly coated. I only went in for a fill and the total was $35??? Never going there again. They were my birthday nails too :(

Took my daughter in to get her nails done for the first time. Both of ours are horrible. Bubbly, uneven, a week later hers are popping off. Mine are lifting, paint chipping. Read the reviews after and didnt bother trying to get them fixed or money back. Horrible experience for her first time. Waste of money wont go back

Will not go here again... which is unfortunate because its super conveniently located. I called in to make sure they had appointments for two available at the same time so that my friend and I could get our nails done together, the woman told met to come in right away because they had two open and would wait for us. We got to the salon in less than ten minutes and were told that we now had to wait 20 minutes because a few ladies walked in before us. If you tell me I have an appointment with you, I expect you to keep it... not give the appointments away to walk-ins. But oh well, decided to let that go and wait for the spots to open up again, and ended up waiting a complete hour to get in. Once we finally got in they did a terrible job on both of our nails. There was polish around the cuticles, you could see a complete mess straight through the pink part of my french tip, and the woman who did my nails messed up three fingers on my fill so she had to to take them completely off and reapply new ones, then tried to charge me for the three nails that *she* broke. Come on now... To top it off, two nails fell off within two days. Ive never once had a nail pop off that quickly and I get my nails done a lot. The only reason for giving two stars is because there was one nice gentleman in the salon that at least attempted to be courteous and small-talk with us.

I wasnt sure what to expect but I was really happy with mine and my little daughters nails (she is five.) She pick out this super fun polish that changes colors, they were super patient while we found one she liked! They took time to ask questions to make sure they knew exactly what we wanted!

I card to ask if they took walk ins. They said yes. I went in at 3 and said I would like to get my nails filled. The lady said can you come back in 30 minutes? I said yes. I came back in 30 minutes on the dot and continued to wait another hour before I finally left. They even helped a lady before me that came in after me. So rude and I will never be back!

Will never go here again. I went in for a fill. Unfortunately my usual nail guy was busy that day, so I decided to try lucky star nails. They were friendly but the quality of work is terrible. I ended up paying 45 dollars with a 5 dollar tip. At first they looked alright. I mean for 45 dollars they better be amazing and last a long time. Plus 45 dollars for a fill is a little outrageous. My appointment was at 2pm, by 7pm I had already broken one nail. Im a stay at home mom so its not like Im too rough on my nails. By the next night I had 2 broken, and the rest of the them have chipped and peeled off. Very unsatisfied.

Went in for a fill on 2 different occasions, the first time the lady rushed through and I honestly could have done better myself, the last time I was super rushed through, my nails looked like someone day 1 in beauty school did them, Aaaand the guy doing a lady next to me literally stopped and went outside to smoke, and a guy on the other side couldn’t even polish a manicure! This place is rediculous don’t even slow down there !

Had a set of gels done before Thanksgiving. I took my mom in on a whim after visiting several shops around town. We struggled to even step foot in the door since we have had such poor experiences before other places. These ladies quickly erased all of our fears. Both sets came out amazing! They are extremely efficient, polite, do amazing work and extremely clean. We were mostly impressed with the quality of work. It is now after Christmas and they still look great. We will be going back!

If I could give this place negative reviews I would. I am from Kansas here visiting my in-laws. My two sister in laws came in for some quality time and I left crying. The old lady is the one helped me and my one sister in law and she did awful. When she was done with my fill before she started applying polish I said the fill looked off and showed her on four nails that weren’t up to my par. She said she’d fix it with shellac. Upon her starting shellac I told her again I was unsatisfied with the fill and she said “I have to start thin with shellac and make it go thicker. I fix it.” Finally as the last top coat is on there are air bubbles in four nails, the fill looks horrible, she didn’t even TRY to remove the previous regular polish I had on. Even after I mentioned to her that she had left the regular polish on. My sister in-law got a new French tip set on and they are all very uneven, and my other sister in law had the older man help her, she got a manicure with shellac, he didn’t even cut her nails, she asked for round shape, and they aren’t close to round. I told her I wasnt paying full price for them and she said “fine I’ll lock the door” and ran to lock the door. She then had the nerve to ask if it was “a money issue”. I said if I had money issues I wouldn’t be here getting my nails done. It’s the fact that they look horrible and I’ve been asking you to fix them and you won’t. I have been getting my nails done for over a decade and I have never been so displeased with a set of nails. I also have never left a nail salon in tears. I would NEVER go here to have your nails done!

I came to have a set of acrylic nails removed since my regular nail tech was very busy until next week. I called ahead and they said I could come in right now. So I headed in and they very confused as to why I was getting my acrylics removed and acted like they had no idea who I was and what service I was getting even though I called in. I waited ten minutes, no big deal, and a man comes over. He got very upset when I even moved my head! My hands werent moving at all.The man left to go watch TV and do other stuff in the back half way through. Later, a lady came and burned my skin with the dremmel tool. They left my nails very uneven and very distorted. Most nail places at least file your nails to a shape you want them after you get a set removed.. They filed mine very crooked. I had to come home and file them myself and it still wont even look right. When I went to go pay, the lady told me ten dollars cash. I did not have any cash on me, only a card. And she looked very annoyed when I said I didnt have any cash and I only had my card with me. I would have gotten cash if she would have told me about their request previously. They had a working card machine, I saw them use it previously. She proceeded questioning me why I didnt have any cash on me. I normally do not carry any cash. This was overall a very troubling experience. I will never return.

This is the best place to do your nails and Nampa bar none, very friendly staff! Amazing service I love this place, plus they do incredible work! You have to come!

I call a head before I went I said I could be there in 10 min. She said that would work perfect they could get me in right away. I got there and she said Ill be right with you... 45 min later I sat down at the chair. While I was getting my nails gone she burned multiple fingers and she said I was being sensitive. I was like no you freaking burned me slow the crap down its not a race. And also she was very rude not only to me but her employees would it kill you to say please and thank you or has she not learned those words yet? And she did an awful job. I literally went home and took the Polish off and re did it my self it was so bad. Do us all a favor and never go here!

They were able to get me and my daughters in first thing in the morning, the day after I called. One man did mine and the lady did both of my daughters, switching back and forth. Our manicures turned out just ok. Bubbles and missed edges are the problems.

Horrible experience do not come here! The day before my high school graduation I came to them to get my eyebrows waxed and one of the ladies asked me how I wanted my eyebrows and I said just clean them up and shape them a LITTLE well she made me look like I was trying to look like I was in the roaring 20’s till this day my left eyebrow still hasn’t grown

I have and still do go here for over 5 yrs. I have my Nails, Pedicure and brows done. I have never had a problem my Nails have stayed on for over 3 weeks easy. I recommend them for personal and bridal parties.

The first time I went in was for a polish change. Decided I didn’t like the color on my acrylics after about 24 hours. Went because it is close to my house. The lady spent the entire time grilling me about what other salon I went to. It was really unprofessional. Then I went in again to get a full set during the morning on Monday. There was one woman getting a pedicure, but no one else there. The same seemingly middle aged woman helped me. It is now Saturday, so less than a week. My nails are lifting, one nail had a tip that was too small put on it, so my nail shows on the side, and another nail is stretched so far underneath the tip that she glued on that the front half of my nail popped up. There are ragged edges on almost all of my nails, and the set was almost 50 dollars. I don’t mind paying to get my nails done, but for that much, I expect a job well done. I am so disappointed. I will say the polish looks like I hoped it would, but I wish the polish looked bad and the nails were nice. Even though this place is less than 5 minutes from my house, I will not be returning.

Worst pedicure ever! They cut the sides of my toe nails back way to far, they hurt days after getting them done! They hurried through the entire pedicure even when there were no other customers there! I felt cheated after spending $40.00 for a gel pedicure that hurt my feet for days! The massage chair was worn out and did not work. Most places I have been to in the near by area offer a complimentary drink and a massage with my pedicure. Dont expect to get that here! If you want to treat yourself do not come here!

This was one of the few places open on Memorial Day and was too inpatient to wait for my regular shop. I was rushed, she drilled so fast she burned me. The acrylic ran into my cuticles and over the edges of my nail. The paint job was horrible and I was charged extra for every little thing even the gel polish. Sencond day the corner of my thumb nail broke off. Five days later two more broke off while making the bed! She was rude, rough and pushy. I will never go back!

I have been coming to this salon for years. I was introduced by a friend and I in turn, introduced several friends to this salon for wonderful pedicures. I often bring my two daughters with me. They just LOVE getting pampered with a pedicure while getting massaged in their wonderful chairs. I have built a relationship with Hoi Tran, the owner, and her wonderful family. They are the nicest people. Hoi has been in the US for about 36 years now and has built a wonderful business with Lucky Star Nail Salon. I encourage you to try this place if you have not. I have been going here for a couple of years. The owner herself does a great job, but the man that did my pedi and mani is painfully SLOW. He tries hard but should not be in this business. It is to the point my girlfriend and I dont want to come in because one of us always gets stuck with him while the other one is completely done waiting another 20-30 minutes while the owner finishes up for him. You need to hire some different help or you will start to lose clients.

I went in and got my mani and pedi done by this Asian gentleman who wears black frame glasses and a hat. I don’t know his name because he’ll only gesture when he needs me to do something like “lift my feet” or to “switch hands”. They need training on how to provide great customer service skills. Now, I’m not trying to be “racist” or anything. I’m Asian myself.They need to communicate with their customer clearly, and if they’re not sure what to do or remember what the customer requested or wanted, then they need to be confirming with the customer instead of winging it. COMMUNICATION is key!Second, while the tech nail guy was prepping and cleaning my nails for the mani and pedi. He was ROUGH. I noticed in the beginning that he was patient in the beginning. But as the hour was approaching, he started rushing and I think that’s when the service started going down hill.Now, this nails salon was not busy when I went to get my mani and pedi done. There was just another lady besides me on 06/07/19 around 1PM. So I don’t understand why this nail tech guy was in a rush and started being rough.I winced and said “ouch” a couple of times but he just rubs on my nails/skin to stop it from bleeding. But that hurts. And he knows it’s hurts but he doesn’t care. He just wants the work done.When he finished my manicure, he stated “there you’re done, you can pay over there” and points at the front desk. Looking at my nails, not even close to the shape that I showed him a picture. Short coffin nails, but instead he game me a wide squared nails. Just great. I think that was a very poor customer service.This was my second time getting my mani and pedi done in this place. I gave it a good go and always tipped them 15% on top of the price of the service done. But no changes was made. Very disappointing.So my advice to anyone thinking getting any service done here, be very cautious. Don’t get your hopes up. The reviews are here for a reason.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!! They were extremely rude and unprofessional. My mom is allergic to lavender and asked not to have the lotion and the young guy was extremely rude to her about it.. My sister was in the middle of hers when the older lady had to leave and left her there for 30 mins and then came back and said oh I forgot and just painted her nails, didnt get a massage or anything then still made us pay for a pedicure even though its not what she got.. Then got mad because we wouldnt walk barefoot across the floor after she had just broken a glass bowl everywhere and hadnt throughly cleaned it up.. The old lady then told us you get what you pay for and 25 dollars isnt alot of money, when I complained that she did a terrible job painting my toes.. 25 dollars times 5 people is a good amount of money. Never again.

NEVER GOING BACKI came in to get an old pair of gel nails removed and when the lady was finished she left my nails in horrible condition; scrapped bits off and left them all rugged and did not bother to smooth them down.I went in to get a new gel manicure a few weeks later and she did not give me what I asked for and rushed me out the door

I gave this place three chances but Im done and not coming back again. The lady rushed while doing mine and when we came back to get my daughters acrylic nails removed because 2 broke and cracked we had to wait for 2 hours even though we arrived at 10 am when they opened! I do not recommend.

This was my first pedicure but not manicure, they scrapped my skin on my toes raw with a filer to the point it was almost bleeding. I tried to say something but was ignored or maybe not understood, Im not sure. It hurt for days, now my nails are chipping and breaking off so easily. They hurried through the entire thing because they didnt have the staff to accommodate others that were there, I felt really rushed through what was supposed to be a relaxing experience. Im never, ever going back.

Went in to get my acrylic nails off and get gel polish the lady that helped me kept going back and forth from me to a pedicure took her an hr to somewhat take my acrylics off told her i wanted to keep the length of my owns nails but she was so rough she ended up breaking them i just finally told her to charge me for what she had done and i walked out.... very unprofessional sloppy work will never go back or recommend.

After paying and receiving a poor manicure... I noticed on my bank statement they added a tip to my payment and gave themselves a 50% tip... Called them and she said prove it, good thing I kept my receipt! Busted!

This place is a disaster. Always never enough workers. I was getting pedicure and I believe 1 of her worker, older guy starts getting upset about something and start kicking things around and yelling in some wierd language. I was told they hire worker without a licence.Stay away from it.

First thing when you walk all they say is pick a color then they get a tub of luke warm water going then everyone of the workers rushes around until they get everyone at least started then the lady comes over grabs your foot and starts working on it doesnt say anything to you except would you like sugar scrub which is an extra 5$ which they dont tell you. They do a good job painting the toe nails but I also got a manicure and they lady cut my cuticle and quickly put some foreign green goo on it and a small piece of tissue until it stopped bleeding then quickly rushed through to get my nails done. Overall for $35 mani/pedi it took about an hour it was okay I probably wouldnt go back next time Ill pay a little extra to get someone that speaks English and acknowledges me as a person.

When I got there I showed her a picture of what I wanted and told if she didnt think she could do it I could do something else she said she could. I also told her I had a gel over lay NOT acrylic. She told me she knew what that was. & then proceeded to apply acrylic on my nail. My white nail polish was all bumpy & I asked her if she could fix that& she said no because I didnt just have gel on when clearly thats what I told her to begin with! I had a gel over lay! She then told me she couldnt do the gold lines I wanted WHICH I HAD ASKED HER SINCE I GOT THERE IF SHE THOUGHT SHE COULD. SHE HAD SAID YES. My polish looks like a 3 year old painted my nails. I left that place wanting to cry. I cant believe I paid for that service. Now I have to pay AGAIN & go get them fixed somewhere else. She didnt even finish the full mani service. I now have nails I hate that look like a toddler painted them. Acrylic on SOME nails & theyre all bumpy. One of my fingers on my left hand has glitter and the other one has some other color?!?? I wish I could post a picture of my nails. I asked if she knew what gel over lay was when I got there she said yes look at all my gel colors i have THATS NOT GEL OVERLAY. THATS GEL POLISH! For crying out loud.

I have not been to Lucky Star in a long time. Used to be a a Great place. I got a pedicure and my feet are rougher than when I went in. Took my grandaughter for a fill. She got her nails done There less than two weeks ago and 2 of them fell off....and got charged $37.00 for a fill!!!! I was planning to get a full set if nails but changed my mind while there. The iwber was so worried about making sure she did all the clients that she rushed and did a poor job. I will never go back and really do not understand how they stay open!!! $57.00 later and I am so unhappy and didin NO WAY get a professional job on rhe pedicure or the fill!!
