Easy to schedule. Called before coming. 10 year veteran knew what he is doing. Liked his diagnostic process. Had needed parts in his truck. Ice maker is fixed. Very confident repair man. Price was reasonable. Therefore I am a satisfied customer. Will use them again.
My technician, Scott, has been my refrigerator repairman for a decade. He always does a great job, and appreciate that I’ve gotten to have his help over the years.
* Tech did great. The rest of this was a nightmare, I wouldn’t suggest Sears services to anyone!!!
Service tech was in contact about when he would arrive so I didn’t have to sit around all day waiting. He was very professional and carefully explained my options. He fixed my washer and and was on his way in no time.
The scheduled maintenance was not performed to my expectations. The previous maintenance person checked more than just turned on the burners and the oven. The drawer was never removed to check underneath and some of the burners do not have a blue gas flame coming out of some holes. Besides that he forged two initials and turned it in as a signature by my husband or myself. Neither one of us was shown anything to sign. What was at the top of that page? Did it ask if he performed satisfactorily? I am still waiting for a call from Sears regarding the complaint I registered right after reading the email showing me the so called receipt with the initials/signature. Absolutely unsatisfied.
Even though we had to wait almost two weeks for service when the repair guy came he was prompt, professional and was very efficient. We were impressed with him.
We had the kindest man come to our home to diagnose our treadmill issue. He followed every lead and did all that he could for us. In the end, Sears didn’t have the part that we needed so he couldn’t fix it, but he got the model information for me and showed me how to change out the part that needed fixing. We got the new part from Amazon and just installed it ourselves, and our treadmill is up and running again!
Very very satisfied! A++
We are very dissatisfied with Sears Appliance Repair Service. Every request for service over the past several years has been fraught with lengthy delays. The most recent request for service required approximately 10 days from the date of request to initial visit. At that point, the service tech ordered parts and scheduled a return visit in two weeks. A package arrived within that window. Unfortunately, when the tech arrived, he discovered some of the parts were back ordered. Two weeks later, the back ordered parts had still not arrived. At that point, we had been waiting over five weeks for service. After two very lengthy phone calls to Sears, we were told it would be another six weeks before the back ordered parts were shipped - and possibly several weeks after that before they delivered and installed. After expressing our dissatisfaction and speaking with people in several departments, we were told that if we were willing to schedule an appointment for someone to come to our home and talk to us about renovation services, they would try to approve replacement of the non-functioning appliance, and to call Sears back in a few days to see if replacement had been approved. Ironically, the replacement option was covered in our existing protection plan we had purchased previously and did not in fact require listening to a sale presentation in which we had no interest. However, we dutifully called a few days later and were told that they didnt have an approval yet, and that it might be another week or more before they would know. Meanwhile, we still had a non-functioning appliance. Fortunately, that call was interrupted by an incoming call on our phone. The incoming call was notification that replacement of the appliance had been approved!Because the local Sears store closed several months earlier, the next step was an hour drive to a Sears store to select a replacement. Within a few days of placing the order, our new appliance was delivered and installed. As a point of interest and to provide some context for this lengthy post, this is not the first time we have spent weeks attempting to get service from Sears - lawn mower, snow thrower, washer, dishwasher...definitely not customer oriented service. The local merchants have been excellent to work with - repair service (which is out of their control) - has been a nightmare.
Serviced washer and dryer. Arrived on time and were friendly and respectful. Only concern was we had hoped to have them adjust or fix our vent from the back of the dryer and were told Sears does not do that type of work. Was surprised by this, and now, based upon Sears not being able to fix this issue, we are looking for another company that can.
Service was right on time, efficient and quick. Michael, Service Tech was professional and polite. Thanks for the great service!
We were very pleased with our first service call to Sears. We were able to get an appointment right away. The serviceman showed us the faulty part and ordered the replacement before leaving our home. It arrived as scheduled and a follow up appointment was made to finish the job. Both servicemen were very courteous and even gave us helpful tips for continued appliance health.
The Sears service person was so helpful taking the time to show us what went wrong with our refrigerator. We werent charged a fortune and now our refrigerator is back in top working order.
The repair person called to say he was on the way, he was there just a few minutes past the beginning time Sears booked me for. He was fast and in/out in no time. The part had to be ordered so the repair person had to return. Prompt service. Id recommend them.
Scheduling was fast and easy. Communications were excellent. Technician was on time, polite, and easy to work with. I am not sure what checks are part of the annual inspection and cleaning, However, I don;t think the washer and dryer were run and I am reasonably certain they were not cleaned. (However, I could be wrong.) Overall, I thought the charge of $89 for each appliance was very expensive considering the work that was done.
The two service people were so polite and did a perfect job. They gave me good ideas for the dishwasher to keep it running efficiently and clean better. They were so much fun to chat with and gave 100 % service for our appliances. Very dedicated and knowledgeable people!!
Stacey was came within the window of time. He was nice, informative and professional. He repaired the washer and out the door all in about 30 minutes. He did however leave a random screw placed in an empty spot atop the washer. Also the stacked machines were not placed back the way I had them. We will call Sears Appliance Repair again if ever needed. Our experiences with them have been very positive.
I was delighted with my recent service call by Tracy from Sears. He contacted me in advance to arrange an agreeable appointment time, then came right on time. Tracy took the time to make sure all possible problems with the washing machine were addressed. When he determined the problem he explained it thoroughly, and didnt leave until he was certain that all worked perfectly! Tracy was first rate and I would highly recommend him!!
We were so frustrated when they changed out the wrong part and came out 4 times for a faulty wire because they didn’t diagnose the problem well or bring parts — even though we gave them the model, a full description and and the failure code before the first visit. We spent over 18 minutes waiting to talk to a human when we tried that. They will only give you a time frame of 8am to 5pm so you stay home all morning even if they’re not coming until 4pm. They showed no concern at all that our family couldn’t wash clothes for over a week because they hadn’t brought a wire. They left our dryer vent detached before they pushed the heavy stacked set in place so we had to pull the unit out and reattach it to use the dryer. This service inundates you with emails and texts telling you how fast and friendly they are but we felt used, abused because they are way more concerned with marketing than service.
The diagnosis appears to have been correct, the part ordered and successfully installed has lessened the temp fluctuation in the refrigerator although still not within the manufacturers cooling range indicated in the manuals very often but on the border of 40 degrees. The service gentlemen were both friendly and efficient. We were disappointed we could not get the installation of the part scheduled for 5 days, leaving us without a refrigerator for almost 10 days.
Stacey (Ace) was a highly qualified service man. He did an excellent job. He informed me of what to look for in the future. Thank you for sending him. Treat him well because its hard to get good help.
The driver of the van, dark haired guy with a beard, followed me bumper to bumper at 80mph+ today from Grand Haven to apple Ave in muskegon when he stopped for gas at Wesco. Hes damn lucky not to cause an accident but I wish he would have been ticketed.
Was told on phone I was under contract and it was a covered call. On-site tech discovered it was expired so it cost me $169. I would have bought new if not for the incompetent tech on the call. On-site tech did a great job.
Dan was a knowledgeable and courteous repairman; however, our refrigerator (2 years old) problems continued two weeks after the $335 replacement of a circuit board. Were canceling our next appointment as we are unconvinced that the problem will ever be resolved--too bad were out more than $300 and will now need to purchase a new unit.
A very good repairman. He explained thing very well.
Easy to schedule online. Serviceman was on time and called to confirm. He diagnosed the problem quickly, he ordered the parts and scheduled the repair appointment. That appointment went great and my washing machine is fixed. I will keep Sears Home Service in mind for future repairs.
Professional and experienced. Was on time and did the repair easily.
I want to recognize the service repairman that came on friday. He went the extra mile to get my machine fixed. He had to call another technician to bring the part from Grand Rapids and he came back to install it and make sure it was working. Since my husband was in the hospital and due to come home, I really needed my machine.Thank you, your people were the best!
Sears wasted you time several times for the service needed. The Sears dude with water the new part issues. We can not take Sears for service needs or applicances - too bad...
Product could not be fixed but got a call and it will be replaced Thank you
Horrible as always. The tech was great. Sadly it took 5 months to fully get the repair completed. Sears, as usual, refuses to stand behind the service agreement and pay for snow removal and mowing. We dont do that anymore. Funny that your website still says you do and your contractual agreement with me states the same. No wonder you are on the verge of bankruptcy.
Very easy to schedule an appointment online. The technician arrived in the allotted time frame. He was pleasant, very efficient and absolutely correct in diagnosing what was wrong with our washing machine. We would use Sears Appliance Repair service again
Initial diagnostic visit resulted in identifying the problem however, the part had to be ordered. The part arrived and per advice from repair person, I called the number on the receipt to schedule the installation.I scheduled and then before the install date, I received a call to reschedule due to repair persons injury.Install was accomplished on reschedule date and dryer now works fine.My 3 star rating was for 2 reasons:1. It took a few weeks for final repair.2. Scheduling an appointment between 8 AM and 5 PM is too wide a window and as a result, I had to remain home, anticipating a repair visit for an entire dayNote: I needed to schedule my time to accommodate an 8-5 appointment three times (once for the reschedule). Very inconvienent for me.The repair person was very courteous and did repair my dryer quickly once on-site.
This was not a repair, rather a check-up. The man who serviced it was professional and thorough. 6-10-19 repair went great. Dishwasher working well. :) 05-08-2020 repair was great!
The serviceman who answered the call was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He explained several things for better operation of the dishwasher, which was much appreciated.
HOLY COW!!!! Saved us from buying a new dryer!! Super helpful and was in and out quick!! Do yourself a favor and call these guys before you give up on your appliance!
The repair people have been wonderful, but they have been here 3 times and still the refrigerator is not fixed. Apparently they cannot get the right parts for an 8 year old refrigerator. They are still working on it. They do not carry any parts on their trucks so they have to order the parts, then shipped to my house, then come and install said parts. Lots of time wasted. I will probably never buy another appliance from Sears again for this very reason.
Not impressed with the time it took to get my appliance repaired. Broke on March 30, 2017 and after 3 no shows/cancellations and an additional 3 service calls by your technician it was finally repaired, almost 6 weeks later. Total inconvenience on our part. Had GE appliances for 22 years and no repairs. Updating appliances with Sears products because I thought it was more convenient. Obviously I was wrong. Not a fan of big box stores appliances.
Sears appliance repair is great. On time, friendly, professional.Quickly repaired our front load washer!
I called Sears Appliance repair to have a dented refrigerator door replaced. I had already called Samsung, had the door ordered, the door arrived and I called Sears to have the door replaced. I spoke with a call center representative who was not understanding what I wanted done. Her English was broken and she eventually told me that there would be a diagnostic fee of $89.00 in excess of the cost of the replacement of the door. I told her I wished to speak with a supervisor and a woman with only slightly better English spoke with me saying that the fee would be charged regardless. Sears has lost my business before I even got a chance to speak to someone in the country that the business operates. Ridiculous.Additional comment: I have now received the same copy and paste reply from the apparent drone of a PR Representative that so many others have gotten. I have an option to send an email to you and address my concerns but no option to comment on your reply, hence this addition. You know my complaint because I have spelt it out for you already, if you could stand to do something other than copy and paste and use cheap outsourced labor you might even make a comeback as a company. A little bit of personalization and effort could go a long way. I cant believe that at any time your company was highly regarded for your customer service. Sears died long ago and its like your parading around wearing its skin, disgusting.
Had to have my lawnmower repaired and going through the service department was very easy and painless.. 😊 my only complaint is the time I had to wait but thats a very small complaint; if it werent for that, I would have given a 5-star rating.
Came on time, knew how to fix it, got the part and came back and fixed it. Great service! Will call again.
Great service! Corrected our problem right away. Really nice, competent guy.
Called to ask if they could repair a dehumidifier and got someone from a different country that couldnt understand i just wanted to know if they did the kind of repair i was in need of. ended up hanging up and will continue to call around else where.
The repairman was thorough and did an excellent job repairing my dryer and then explaining to me what had happened.
Tony the service tech who checked our alliances did a excellent job. He went above and beyond to make sure our appliances are working the best the can. He did things the other service techs didnt do in the past years that weve had this service done.
I have never in my life experienced such incompetence. And after three weeks of waiting, lies, bad information, failure to get answers...I still do not have a resolution. It is no wonder Sears is closing stores...and will be out of business completely within a few years...I hope. After years and many purchases I will never set foot in a Sears again.
The repairman was very prompt and friendly. He arrived early. I already knew what the problem was and he confirmed it. He replaced the part in about 5 minutes. Trying to run my credt card took longer than that. The part was $9 and my total bill was $220. I had been warned of the $99 diagnostic fee and I had found the part to be around $10. I never expect the installation would cost what it did. A couple light switch problems and I can buy a new refrigerator.
Great scheduling, let me know when on his way, on time.. knew exactly what was wrong and fixed it. Couldnt be happier
Prompt and complete service call, very pleased with the repair man!
The repair on the dishwasher door was done Friday - now on Tuesday it is not latching. And now they want to send another technician and charge me another service call fee. Hmmm. Hopefully it falls under the repair warranty or well be shelling out another couple hundred bucks for something that should have been done right the first time!!! Not a happy customer right now!! I will edit this review later depending on how this plays out and if I ever get to use my dishwasher again!!
Communication was good and they were on time.
Loved the A&E repairman and this experience was wonderful. But, I will still never use Sears again.
I had my washing machine repaired by Stacy... He was on time, evaluated the problem and had it fixed in the same day. Thank you Stacy, we had our washing machine back :)
Dan was very thorough with his diagnosis and very professional.
Good technician, however Sears screwed up. Sent parts for a dryer repair when the washer was the issue. SO we wait another 2 two weeks for the repairs. Ridiculous!
I am pleased with my technical person. He talked me through the whole thing.
Service repairman was knowledgeable and friendly, did good work. Our refrigerator is now functioning very normally.
Sears kept sending me notices for a repair I didnt ask for on an appliance I dont own. How they got my name mixed up with the customer, I dont know.Idiots.
FIXED WHAT THE OTHER BUSSINESS BROKE.THANKS
Drove all the way here and the place is closed
Fast efficient and friendly service man.
The repair was completed within 1 hour - probably about 30-40 minutes. The actual repair was replacing the cable and 2 springs that connectthe lever to the blades (to activate the mower).
Email sent, waiting on a reply.
He arrived on time, got right to work, and was gone in 20 minutes.
Technician called, then arrived on time. It was an annual maintenance check. He was in and out in 15 minutes.
Spent 4 hours taking out then putting new pump in then found out it was the computer board
Everything went well and the man was very friendly.
Knowledgable and friendly
The technician knew what to do and how to do it.
Excellent !
Great job!
