They never disclosed that I was buying a floor model, and over a month later I still havent gotten any answers or help getting the promotional advertising off of the screen. I cant even count how many times Ive waited on hold forever, been hung up on, or had the automated system randomly end the call. To make all of this worse, the laptop was on a new credit card with them that I opened, that I havent been able to pay because I never got the card nor can I even access my account to pay. My credit is now taking a hit, not because I dont want to pay, but because they wont even let me. If you want to get ripped off and cheated, apparently best buy is the place to go. I hate to write this review, I would hope for at least some answer or help.

The electronics staff is very rude and unprofessional . After I asked for help, the employee helped several others before us. We will never come back to this location!!

I love these Geek Squad guys! Isaiah help me tonight when I went to pick up my laptop. He was so helpful and polite and knowledgeable. He wanted to make sure that I was comfortable with everything before I left the store. Thank you so much Isaiah I appreciate your help.

Was on hold for over an hour and no one ever answered. I was able to research my problem on my own and fix it myself while on hold. I recommend you do the same.

Went to see why the tv we purchased from them did not have sound now. My Mom has Dementia and after they fixed it (Remote Issue) we went home . It does not work here (we dont have DVD or extra speaker hooked up). To get online help they are now wanting $25 to chat with an agent- before it was free and they told me to call a phone number. The robot would not let me speak to an agent -guess we arent worthy enough. To schedule a home visit with the membership we have to pay as much as the TV cost. Asinine.

Geek Squad is terrible!! If I could give minus stars I would :(. My Insignia TV is only two months old and all of the sudden stopped working. It took them a week just to ship it, another week to 10 days to order parts, who knows how long to actually repair it, and then another week to so it back to the store. Instead of just replacing a faulty product all the inconvenience is on the customer. I was on the phone for 30 mins. after they said they couldnt locate my service order, then said it was under store vs. home, and then after I asked to speak to a supervisor, then tells me I need to call the store?!! Ridiculous, incompetent, and frustrating! Not worth money for the TV or the geek squad warranty. Save yourself all the aggravation and go to Costco or Wal-mart!

Took my money. Didnt fix anything.Took my computer in because It would connect to the internet, but web pages would not display. they messed with it for a couple minutes, then told me I would need to pay 100 dollars for them to diagnose it. I agreed to leave it with them and pay the diag. I received a phone call about an hour later. They said my operating system was corrupt and needed to be reinstalled. They said they would reinstall windows 7, then upgrade to windows 10 for 50 dollars. So my grand total would be $150 including the diag charge. I agreed to this. The next day I got a phone call from them again. They told me I needed to buy the windows 7 operating system because they did not have rights to it. But from the start they were planning on reinstalling it. So was the plan the whole time to keep my computer for a day, get me to agree to $150 dollars, then call me again to get more money? From the start they knew I had windows 7. And from the start Im sure they knew that they did not have rights to windows 7. So how did they plan on doing it in the first place! It is all a scam.I requested my computer. They made me pay the Diagnostic charge since they looked at it. I do not believe they did anything other than put it on a shelf and see how much money they could get out of me!Best buy is amazing! Geek squad is terrible! Crooks. Thieves. Scammers!

Actually the Geek Squad protection I loved it! Every time I take my computer in they get it up and running superbly. My computers are always back within 1-2 days.I have also use the mobile Geek Squad. They came out to my home and had me up and running within 10 minutes. The technician was wonderful he even stayed I would say in additional half hour to fix other things that Comcast had incorrectly installed. So thats not my concern at all I have had wonderful service with the actual Geek Squad technicians. My problem is with phone support. I believe they must be in another country for I always receive someone who does not speak 100% English. When it came time to renew my membership this year (July) I renewed my membership online for $99.99 plus taxes. My initial Geek Squad membership purchase price was $99.99. There is not 1 thing different between your initial membership and a renewal membership. They have the exact same coverage, the exact same number of items covered and the exact same price if someone is dispatched to your residence. This is my ignorance but the steps I have to take to resolve the issue made absolutely no sense. After 2 calls to Geek Squad, Geek Squad transferring me to Best Buy and Best Buy transferring me back to Geek Squad I have the exact issue. In March of this yea,r 2015, I purchased an AARP Membership. Due to much more important issues at the time (my parents estate ) I did not read the 50+ pages of Im formation mailed to me nor did I download the AARP Member Benefits Guide. After the legal fiasco of dealing with someone dying and the prinnahs who show, ready to rip you to shreds, I was able to look over some of my AARP guide. If you have AARP you qualify for 25% off a Geek Squad membership. I had just renewed my membership (DARN) So I called and after the 40 minute runaround with 5 different associates this is what I will have to do. 1 cancel my membership and my card will be credited the $99.99 plus tax. 2 go into the store and buy a membership and then I can receive the 25% off. Ok I have to have my computers tuned up anyway. My continued question was: why cant you just credit the 25%? The Geek Squad telephone operators insisted over and over that to purchase a membership the cost is $149.99. This is the second renewal after my initial purchase. I have never paid more than $99.99. After each of them looking this up yes, I have only paid $99.99.The reason being I used my AARP Card for the discount. (I did not become an AARP MEMBER until March 2015)So if I want the 25% off they will credit my card the entire $99.99 then I can just use my card right then and get the discount. Could someone please tell me why I just cannot get the 25% put back onto my card.I know I am making a big deal of this. But 40 minutes on the phone with 5 different associates that cannot give me a reason why the transaction has to be done this way is very irritating. I could understand if they said it went into a different account, you receive different benefits something like that. But to be told over and over I used my AARP card to buy them from membership 3 years ago when I didnt become a member until this year then pointing that out and being told my initial membership was $149.99 they never got up and no it was 99.99 and frustration of speaking to somebody overseas they cannot give me an answer.I hope I have better luck at the store.I do recommend Geek Squad, I do not however recommend you call their 1-800 number.
