Really great and honest Mechanics! I took my Volkswagen Tiguan to this place a few times over the last year and theyre always honest and fast at repairing the parts on what your vehicle needs to function on.
Honest car repairs. You decide if new or refurbished parts are used.
Visiting SLC from San Diego during VERY HOT 2021 heat wave. Waiting to return to my SD mechanic for air conditioning repairs was not an option. I checked here and was grateful for so many consistent success stories with V&W reviews (over other foreign car dealers and repair facilities). The A/C in my 2015 VW Golf GTi needed a compressor replaced (SLC and SD dealerships and my independent SD mechanic all said the same thing at nearly the same price). Mark accurately diagnosed ~ after a valiant initial attempt with sensor to keep costs down that didnt fix the issue. (And he went to extraordinary lengths to find my correct number because I wrote it down wrong🤦♀️🤷♀️. ~ Im blaming heat wave.) Unrelated, a few days later my car began to shake, rattle and roll while on the freeway. Scary! AAA towed the car back to V&W. A former repair facility had installed non- VW spark plugs and thus four coils were inspected and one needed to be replaced. Between both calls during my three-week stay, I dropped over $2K. But, I had a COOL and SAFE drive home to San Diego. Please allow me to be one of those that highly recommends and trusts the team at V&W. ~ Ellen S.
Mark was patient with me and good to deal with. Had a issue that we couldn’t figure out and had to come back multiple times, but he was always happy to help. In the end he ended up putting on extra parts to fix the problem and did not charge me. Good guys will definitely come back in the future for my VW problems.
Great, knowledgeable mechanics. They can handle more than just Volkswagen
Mark at V & W has been working on a few different VWs over the years for me. He is honest and beats dealership and other VW service centers prices. Hands down would 100% recommend him. Over 5 years of customer satisfaction, with over 100,000 miles of maintenance on 3 VWs!
Honest, intelligent, willing. Thank you!
I have nothing but good things to say about this company. I believe they are honest and care about their reputation
I took my Audi to V & W for an oil leak. I had other people work on the same issue before and it was a total waste of time and money. This last time, I took to Mark and quickly identified the issue. Mark was fast and got my A4 all fixed up and ready for the road. The price was fair and time was great. Has been a week now and I get excited everyday I look at my garage and I dont see a oil leak on the cement floor. Here is my final take: There are a few VW and Audi shops in town, I have been to a handful of them, I can tell you with 100% confidence that Mark will save you money and stress on your repairs. Everyones experience is unique but mine was great and I have a place I can trust for all my future Audi repairs.
My car started sputtering day before yesterday.. Found this shop in google search of VW shops.. Mark was just getting in and put it on the scanner right away.. He let me know what may be wrong with it, and let me know when he could look further.. So just I left his shop and we have a plan to get this sorted out.. Mark is the closest catch to a WONDERFUL Mechanic, that actually cares Ive ever been exposed too..In this day and age, its REALLY hard to find quality customer care... My hats off to Mark and his establishment, and a big THANK YOU! If you need assistance with your vehicle stop by and talk to him about it.. I know I will be back for all my car needs. 🙌🏿😊🦋💕
My wife found these folks a long time ago and we have been bringing our 4 cars to Mark and V&W for over 10+ years now and have nothing but high praise for their excellent work, honesty and integrity while doing business with them. They are the best and I highly recommend them, they will save you a ton of money over any dealership for sure.
Fair service, but a little rough around the edges. Left a little bit of a mess after a timing belt change.Repair took a little longer than originally quoted, but overall I am satisfied with the work.
Ive had two of my cars in to V&W they have been very fair and honest. Theyve even told me when I didnt need to have work done that I thought was necessary. I would HIGHLY recommend Mark and V&W to anyone with a VW or Audi.
Mark and John were very good at keeping me in the loop on a somewhat difficult repair. They were also very reasonable with the cost of my clutch replacement. I will not hesitate to use them again.
By far, the best Mechanic, most honest, and service oriented shop i have ever used! I will be a customer for life! Thanks Mark!
Worst repair service (or lack there of) in my life. Mark said he could fix the problem my car was having, after 3 chances to fix the car over a span of 4 months, my car now doesnt just overheat, but shakes. He also instructed me to drive the vehicle with the check engine light on. I spent $1992.90 and now my car is in worse shape. Mark also tried to keep my property from me. I went to pay the final payment and pick up my car and he refused to give me my property unless I took my complaint down with the Better Business Bureau. It wasnt until I threatened to call the police that he let me take my car. He yelled at me, a single woman and scared me. Such a dishonest, manipulative, and deplorable human being. Wow. There are words to adequately review a business like this.
These guys are great!!! They had my Passat in and out in 2 days for a secondary air pump and intake assembly to get replaced. They also checked my evap system to make sure i didnt need to replace anything. They also have really great pricing. This is the only shop I will ever go to or recommend for VWs. Thank you again guys for all your help!
Would not recommend this crook, He seems to be very nice and professional at first so you will bring your car in, my experience with Mark was very disappointing, My 18 year old daughter who had just graduated from high school moved out on her own with very few funds, Her VW Tiguan was leaking oil and Over hearing severely when I took it it’s to mark (thinking this was my best decision, as my original mechanic Doesn’t do major repairs on VW) so I thought I was taking it to a professional 😂 the joke was on me, Mark diagnosed her car as a cracked radiator and a rear main leak( not a cheap job at all) he estimated me around $2500 to fix both issues, As I’m a single mother of 6 and my daughter was just leaving the nest we don’t have that kind of money laying around but knew it needed to be fixed before a major problem occurred so scrambling and trying to come up with the funds ( my daughter had to get a loan from the bank) we took it to Mark back in April he had the car nearly a week we got the car back it was still leaking a severe amount of oil and still overheating I called mark he “seemed” concerned and told me to bring it back in I took it back and of course he couldn’t diagnose the problem with the oil as he continues to say “ it could be the crank shaft pully leaking oil, he wanted $90 more dollars to replace that and was so nice to say he wouldn’t charge us labor 😂😂 ( as he wasn’t positive this was the issue, I had to tell him I or my daughter don’t have $90 and I want to be sure this was the issue he said it could of been a faulty part with the rear main I said can you please diagnose it and make sure, after leaving the car with him another tome for a day and half he “said” it was the rear main and he “said” it didn’t overheat at all on him after we picked up the car within 2 hours it overheated I sent him a picture and he said I would have to leave the car with him until it would over heat on him I ask another mechanic why would it not overheat on him I was assured it would fit sure overheat on him, that it could have been a blown head gasket so I asked Mark if there was any way it could ha e a blow. Head gasket He assured me No he would of for sure known so I took it to get tested at another shop after I had made arrangements to take the car back to mark For the rear main fix I wanted to know what the over heating issue was Well at this point almost 3 months after I’ve paid their man alomost $2700 with taxes My daughter car has a blown head gasket caused because he didn’t fix the problem with the over heating to begin with so I called him he was very rude and I’m professional about resolving the issue and said it’s not his fault he fixed what I told him to... no he diagnosed it and me not being a mechanic I went with what he said the problem was so after that I took the car in this past Sunday(after making arrangements with Mark to drop it off Sunday night) and he said he would need it a day in a half no problem I will pick up the car Tuesday’s evening, nope it wasn’t ready after calling him a couple times a day and him saying “it will be done this evening” to the next day and so every excuse so finally today as my daughter needs her car she hasn’t had it for a week, she call and it’s still not ready he says Monday evening no she had to get her car today he said it wasn’t finished and she demanded to pick her car up, she went and got it Un finishes and we are out $2700 and the car is the same as she we took it in in April so the job was never done. Correctly at all
He was able to diagnose my airbag error while saving me $125 ( what a dealership was trying to charge me ) I recommend coming here and will be using V & W Volkswagen for all my issues from now on .
I have used John and his shop for several years on multiple VW vehicles. They are honest and give accurate timelines. They have been literally awesome to deal with and have saved me significant money over taking my vehicles to the dealership. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone!
Good work but a wait for big jobs. It does make it nice on the wallet
As a single female, it is often difficult to find a trustworthy repair shop. Relax, you just found it. My 21 year old VW Jetta is still running thanks to the care John and Mark put into my car. I highly recommend this shop!!! They will NOT let you down!
Thank you for the quick and painless oil change for my Jetta. Great price too.
Well, I must say Mark does a good job and sticks to his word. I have a Eurovan and after I purchased it, it was giving me some temperature sensor problems causing the check engine light to come on. After the first repair at V&W the issue came right back a few days later. I ended up taking it to a more reputable Volkswagen mechanic for a 2nd opinion. They gave me a list of problems and charged quite a bit for diagnostics. I ended up coming back to Mark and he explained what happened, ensured me that the list of problems from the other mechanic isnt really the issue and he needs to dig a little deeper into the sensor problem. He fixed the problem, didnt charge me for my 2nd visit since it was under warranty from his first attempt, and the van has been running like a champ for almost a year now. This will be my go-to shop for as long as the Eurovan chugs along!
Called to get a quote for a 40k mile service on a 2014 DSG GTI. Guy asked if the DSG was auto or manual. Hung up.
Honest as can be, great mechanic & people, no worries
Always communicative, good work, honest prices.
Only place I trust working on my car, we bring our VW here for everything and wont go anywhere else!
Ive been bringing my cars here for over a decade and will never go anywhere else.
The guy was knowledgeable
