Absolutely top-notch shop. The folks at Stroker Diesel rebuilt the 6.9l IDI engine in my 1987 F-250, as well as replaced the clutch, and I couldnt be happier with the finished product. These guys have great attention to detail, and kept an eye out for any vulnerable or malfunctioning part during the rebuild process. And not only are they excellent mechanics, they have great customer service skills. They kept me posted with regular updates, and were patient with me in explaining the process. They also took lots of pictures along the way and shared them with me throughout the build. Every person I interacted with at Stroker (Tyler, Tim, Richard, and a few others) was kind, good humored, and welcoming. The same is true of pups that are occasionally at the shop (if youre lucky). Im relieved to have discovered Stroker, and I look forward to working with them again, should the need arise.
Didnt wanna purchase a lemon so called up Stroker Diesel and spoke with Richard. Told me to bring the truck up and hed take a look, hooked it up to the scanner and showed me a few issues that couldve costs me thousands and didnt even charge me a dime. Thanks Richard!
Stroker Diesel took such good care of me!I just purchased a 2006 Ford F-250 from them! They made the process very easy for me. They went over everything that had been done to the vehicle & assured me that I would be very well taken care of by them. This is not my first time working with Stroker Diesel on my vehicles and it will definitely not be my last!
Took my new to me Ram 3500 in to get an inspection, just to make sure everything was working like it should. There ended up being some issues in the front end of my truck. They got it all fixed up for me and the truck drives better than before. The team was very helpful. I will definitely be back for future work.
My truck had not run for 4 years and Stroker looked at it and had it running in less than a week. Thanks for the excellent service and the work that was done. Very reasonable pricing and quick service. They kept me informed all through the process. I highly recommend them for all your diesel needs Thanks Guys.
Edit: changed from two star to one star because these guys would rather argue with their reviews, rather than review their business model. I tried to give yall a second chance to fix the problem, got charged another $300 for diagnostics, just to be told you couldnt find any problems other than my tires. To quote the man who explained it the rubber is separating from the metal so I bought new tires and got an alignment, low and behold that didnt fix the issue. In simplest form, the techs admitted they couldnt fix an issue that I brought it in for. While the dealership did fix the issue. They also had to replaced parts that your shop installed. Whether your techs did it incorrectly or just cheap parts. Whatever the dealership did, that your shop couldnt do, works. Also, youre right, Im partially mistaken. I gave your shop 7k. Plus 2 alignments at a tire shop, one after visiting you the first time, one after visiting the second time at the advice of your techs because they didnt believe I got an alignment the first time. Also $1500 tires at the advice of your techs. Getting pretty close to spending 10k, not at your shop, but because of your shop. If you want to play that game, part of the cost of my repairs at the dealership would be because of your shop also. The issue you never fixed is the issue of shuddering at highway speeds...Would give 1 star, but to be fair, they did repair my injectors with no issue. But after spending nearly $10,000 at this shop. They never fixed one of the main issues I took it in for. Not only did were they incapable of fixing my truck, they charged me hundreds of dollars in diagnostics just to try blaming the issue on my tires. After doing multiple alignments, rotations, then buying a new set of $1500 tires, even though the current $1500 tires were no more than a couple years old. Issue still never ceased. Finally took my truck to the dealer. They fixed it correctly, also charged me half the price that stroker did. My advice, take your truck to the dealer, dont deal with these insane diagnostic charges and inexperienced techs
I always call stoker diesel when I have issues with my truck they have been honest, kind, and helpful. Last time Richard helped me over messenger to diagnose my truck, it ended up being exactly what he told it would be a bad new part. Great knowledge and willingness to help. Thank you.
When traveling back to Wisconsin from La I needed an oil change a friend told me about thisShop, so I drove in a very nice lady greeted me .The shop and office were clean and I felt rite atHome .They change the oil checked all fluids, Just really nice people and a very fair price forthe work .Thank youPs I recommend this place to anyone needingwork done on their trucks .
If you like giving your money away for no reason I would recommend stroker. Thanks for nothing stroker
Took my power stoke in for a engine light and no power, 7 days after I drop it off they called and said it was done, I was out of town at the time, with 3 more days left on my vacation, 2 days later they send a text message stating if I dont pick up my truck in the next 24 hrs they will start charging me storage fees, so right when I get into town head over and get my pickup, 2600 dollars later and it is running worse then it ever was. So after that it was very clear they have no idea what they are doing, so I took my truck to industrial injection, after they pulled out 2 snap on endwrenchs from the air cleaner and wipe all the grease off of the fenders and raincaling and replace one injector my truck ran like new. And the repairs was under 500 dollars. Long story short, I would not ever have stroker diesel, work on my pedal bike let alone a diesel engine
1. I am Very disappointed in my experience at Stroker Diesel. I had my truck brought in for what turned out to be a very simple fix ( my girlfriend and I found on our own) after paying $440.00 and paying $140 twice to have it towed there just to have the mechanic say that is was a wire backwards causing a short. Tyler had only temporarily fixed it.2. Trying to get anyone to be forthright about anything or even let alone getting someone to call you back is extremely difficult. Brian and the front desk just decided to start ignoring all calls when I requested to Tyler that I speak with a manager again about what options to go forward with. As far as I am concerned Stroker Diesel has committed theft of services. Go ahead and save yourself the time and energy and take your truck to a different shop.I am so disappointed in this I had heard some good things about this shop originally thorough the grapevine but turns out it is anything but true. They love to take your money and not get the job done right.I will be sure to pass the word along about Stroker to all my friends/ and coworkers who have diesel vehicles. Thanks again for making me miss multiple days of work and constant headaches Stroker!
First of I would like to say how refreshing it is to have a business not try to sell you something. I was having problems getting my readiness monitors to reset in my 2017 Ram 2500 Cummins. I reached out to Stroker Diesel and just asked a question. They got back to me right way with A couple of suggestions on what to do. Long story short, with their suggestions I was able to get the readiness monitors to reset in my truck to pass emissions. With a business model like that I will definitely be taking my truck there when the job is more than I can handle. Thank you guys again. You will be seeing me in about 5000 miles for some routine maintenance on the truck.
Lost a belt passing through town on my Cummins and these folks had me tuned up and on my way in a few hours. Thorough job, highly recommend.
After getting jerked around at a higher rated place in the valley (WDP) for a week I went to Stroker and they quickly fixed my issue without even jumping at the suggestion that a more expensive part was possibly bad.
Words can not express how happy I am to have found an honest diesel shop. They have gone above and beyond to help fix problems that another shop had created and even give advice for doing things myself that I couldn’t afford to pay them for. I will absolutely only go to them from now on! Tyler and the crew saved me on this!
I went in to get a diagnosis and quote. Explained to them I heard a noise coming from my passengers side rear tire. When I heard back from them they their diagnosis and quote was all four rotars and break pads need to be replaced for a price of 1400. As soon as I read that in the email I said screw that’s I’ll do it myself. On top of that they didn’t even bother to tell me my seal was leaking in my rear axel (that was causing the noise). When I took the tires off I had more than half the life left on my break bass, rotars were fine. I went ahead and replaced the bearings and seal my self along with the one set of break pads that had gotten uneven wear due to the rear differential fluid that leaked out on to the break calipers and pads. Long story short I paid 145 dollar to have some one flat out lie to me
Awesome service. We were traveling and needed service. They got us in same day and fixed our problems. We are so very grateful. They were kind understanding of our situation and Tyler was awesome in giving us customer service. Highly recommend
They great place to have all your diesel work done . So if you need great service contact them.
Just for starters - NO ONE ELSE CHARGES HAZMAT OR CREDIT CARD FEES. That saved me $350 right off the top going anywhere else.I had a horrible experience with Tim. I took our RV in as it would only start when cold. After a week of their own tests and over $500 in costs all I got was a text with a link to see a bill of $5500 to fix the vehicle. No call, notes, etc. I went into the shop to get some explanations as to what was broken and have them start. While at the shop I told them to move forward and asked if there was anything else that may go wrong in the near future. Tim then mentioned that after doing everything, theres a good chance it still wont run great and will have to replace an additional $2,500 part. I have the hardest time understanding how someone would not say anything about that until I specifically asked.I called two other places nearby and both told me the same thing; they didnt know what they were doing and were replacing everything they could think of in hopes itd fix the issue. I took it to one of the other shops and got it fixed with far fewer parts and less than half the price.
Worked with Tyler at Stroker Diesel he was very nice and knowledgeable did a diagnostic the thing I like the most is they send emails actually showing the diagnostic results and cost for the job.. I would probably go back to these guys seemed pretty trust worthy they all were pretty nice Tyler was easy to work with. Thanks Stroker Diesel.
Had some injector work done a while back which one had eventually failed. Living out of state, I took my truck to the only Ford dealer in my town. The dealership tried robbing me of $600 in labor work which the warranty is supposed to cover parts AND labor being a failed Ford injector. I gave Richard from Stroker a call, he provided Ford with the needed documentation and he made sure my warranty was honored at my local Stealership...These guys operate with integrity. Dont take your truck anywhere else. Thanks again
We had our 2006 F-350 Head bolts and gaskets replaced. Along with the new EGR cooler, oil cooler, and ejectors. The work that was done was excellent. The owner Richard spent time with us when we were there great customer service great company. Tyler the service manager also was very helpful with keeping me up to date with what was going on during the repair. The thing that impressed me the most was after the service and we had picked our vehicle up. We had some minor issues a small oil leak. When we brought the vehicle in they stopped everything to fix my vehicle. They valued me as a customer. I would highly recommend taking your diesel truck to Stroker Diesel.
The folks at Stroker Diesel are FANTASTIC! My truck had been stolen and abused heavily. From the time I contacted Stroker, through dealing with the insurance, I was treated wonderfully! My mechanic Tyler kept me informed throughout the process and worked with the insurance for me. The service was incredible and my truck runs better than it ever has! From ownership on down, Stroker Diesel is the best in the business. Wont take my truck anywhere else!
STROKER dIEsLE FOR LIFE ........thats aLL i have to say about thaaaat
Starting from the front office to the machanic, The best service I have ever had from a service shop ever!!!The machanic took time to come out and went over everything with me . if I could give 10stars I would!!Thanks again to the STROKER DIESEL TEAM
I would love to share our experience with Stroker Diesel. But first I must preface who we are. We are a non-profit organization that is geared around helping people change their behaviors and become honest, hard working people of integrity. We are really good at it to. Thanks to the kind people at Stroker Diesel who were willing and able to help us get our truck back on the road in a timely manner with customer service that fit our unique model, we are able to operate and help that next person save their life. Our truck runs great, I will always consider these guys first for my truck, and if any one else asks me I will refer them to Stroker Diesel.. Thank you
Tyler took care of me. I came in with what I felt a gutless truck and left with power. He did a diagnostic as I requested, then suggested a hydra tuner and a s&b air intake. I took him up on both and I am pleased. Great service, fast turn around, and very knowledgeable! Thank Stroker Diesel team.
Great service and attention to detail.
Amazing work they were able to repair my Zr2 dmax intercooler when none else would. I worked with Tyler and went out of his way to get the job done. Will return to service my trucks turbo system!
Took my 2005 X 6.0 into Stroker to have ICP changed. The cost was very reasonable and it was very easy to make an appointment. I was very impressed with there service and timely manner of getting my vehicle back to me. Would highly recommend Stroker Diesel repair.
The work performed on my powestroke was great, Im happy with the end result, the reason for the low rating was that my truck has been very well cared for, and when we picked it up there were deep scratches in the bed side, their response was to bring it back and they would buff it out, the damage goes all the way to the metal, and upon further inspection, a dog had scratched the drivers door, I have no dogs nor do I go around and people with dogs, (they have big dogs on site) Ill take it to a body shop to have it repaired since they acknowledge the damage but arent willing to do anything realistic to remedy it, and my bill was close to $9000.00, which Im not complaining about, but the after care is seriously lacking, great mechanical ability, just document everything before dropping your vehicle off because the repairs to the my paint are going to be another grand at least.
Chill environment. They had worked on my truck before I bought it from a dealer so figured I would go back to them for some maintenance. I was in and out with no issues. They also took the time to answer a bunch of question I had regarding future plans and explained the why behind any recommendations made for parts or things to have done.
Brought my Duramax here to have the oil cooler gaskets replaced. I had spoken to the owner Richard and he quoted the price for the repair. When I dropped off my truck and came in I was greeted by the front counter person. Told her what I needed done, filled out the paper work and left the keys. Dropped my truck off Wednesday evening and by Friday noon my truck was ready to go. Spoke to Richard the owner he told me how bad the gasket that they replaced was. I would definitely recommend Stroke Diesel!
Great crew of guys! They took their time to inspect a truck I was potentially going to buy. They did an awesome thorough job explaining and showing me what was up. Saved me a ton of cash! Thanks Tyler and the crew at Stroker Diesel!
Went in on 3/4/2020 for an oil change on my 2005 6.0. They did it while I waited and got it done quickly. The staff was very friendly and professional. Will definitely be back.
Was in Salt Lake City from out of state when experienced engine problems with Dodge diesel. Not having any knowledge of mechanic options I give the Lord credit for directing me to Stoker. Had the truck towed to Stoker shortly before they closed for the day and they had it out by noon the following day. I could have easily been taken advantage of, but, thanks to Richard’s honesty the problem was diagnosed and resolved at a very fair price. All I can say is thank you Richard - well done!
I love my brand new 2006 Ford f 350 6.0 :) Brought it to Stroker with a blown head gasket. The Stroker kit fixed all the issues of the 6.0. Great service good price. I love my truck, pulls my 38 foot toy hauler fully loaded like it was meant to! Thanks!
I would leave -0 stars if I could. Truck left “shop” worse than when it went in after paying nearly 2K in “repairs”. Was told by the owner(Richard) that I had cracked heads/block because of a misaligned $10 oil cooler seal and quoted 5K+ to repair. Seriously? By far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a mechanic shop. Don’t waste your time/money/patience with these clowns.
I just cant say enough about how awesome this place is. Very friendly staff and the techs are very knowledgeable.
I would like to take this time to share my experience with Richard at Stroker Diesel. Ive known Richard for some time through Facebook and other social media platforms. The Excursion threw a code for a speed sensor and I was able to locate the issue due to Richards guidance. Richard was able to take the time out of his day to help me and give me insight on what was wrong with my 2000 Ford Excursion and point me in the direction in order to begin getting the problem solved.Thank you to Richard and his team at Stroker Diesel. Check them out today!
1500 dollars still had to get towed home. Wish there would have been better communication before having me sink 1500 into a maybe fix. I got a call that it would be 1100 and fixing this and this, at no point was there communication that this may not fix the problem and there could be more to come. It would have helped guide me into a different outcome and not feeling so robbed. Basically a stick up with no gun. Mind you i had to keep calling for a status update, nobody ever called back when they said they would. After constantly calling for an update after the 1100 dollar fix, because my truck is a work truck and necessary for me to work, i was told that the bill would now require a new price to fix because the original 1100 didnt do anything. So now its 400 more to keep looking and i get the new quote of 5800. Mind you after my complaining about the lack of communication, i was finally told this still could not be the fix were hoping for and there could be more to come. Well 1500 later im finally given informstion that i can decide whether its worth moving forward or not. Just not satisfied with the overall experience. I own a business, and i can imagine how my customers would react if i didnt tell them upfront about what has to be done and the pricing for it and shoot them a bill and say sorry my communicstion isnt up to par and i didnt explain this was the end of it. All in all thats my experience. Communication is key. Hopefully it gets better. UPDATE: i just got the truck fixed and it was the hpop, common issue, not the recommended 4k repair to replace the timing cover. Be careful with diagnosis and definitely get other opinions and do your own research before taking their word.
Everyone here is very professional and they treat you like a person unlike many shops. Even though this shop is mainly diesel skilled they helped me with my 2005 Nissan Pathfinder. My battery would not stay charged and I had to get my alternator replaced. Richard and Harley explained the reasons why my alternator would go out. They are very honest, and I would recommend them to anyone.Patrick R.
I recently purchased the Stroker Solution kit for my 05 Excursion and have been completely satisfied with the level of care, timeliness, professionalism, and cost. Richard walked me through the process for the kit and all the fees that could occur if they found a part not in serviceable condition. The work was completed on time, and like any large undertaking, there were a few surprises along the way. How Stroker Diesel handled them is why I would recommend them to anyone. I always received a phone call promptly when an issue occurred ( old trucks need new parts, its still cheaper than a new truck) and if I didnt answer left a brief voicemail for me. While the truck was on the lift I had them look around for any additional worn out parts not included in the kit that would save me another trip to the shop. This shop is top notch and will get your 6.0 running right. I now have peace of mind that the motor will last! Thanks
Even though my truck is a Chevy lol. Tyler and Stroker got me back on the road after replacing my my 4 wheel drive, and the cost was affordable. And everyone that worked there was kind. Along with the great coffee they have for while your waiting. Need some more work definately going back.
Thanks for all the work you have done on my 7.3. I was so appreciative of the times Stroker Diesel has gotten me in on short notice . Also Thanks for the Hydra tune, intake and exhaust. Id recommend if you have a ford this is the shop for you. These guys do it all !
I was introduced to Stroker Diesel in late 2018 after yet another warning light on my 2005 F350 6.0 diesel during a cross country trip. I had been to the dealer multiple times and spent thousands of dollars, but still kept having problems. This truck only had 160k on it, but the dealer encouraged me to sell it and get a new one. I’m a middle aged woman who camps all over the country with my two sons, and having a reliable vehicle was of the utmost importance to me. Fortunately, I did a lot of research and found Stroker. Richard was so generous with his time and expertise, showing me from the ground up how the Stroker Kit works and how it could fix many of the issues I had been having and prevent others in the future. My turbo was shot and needed to be replaced, also. I probably spent more than a couple of hours of his time, on the phone and in the shop, before deciding to go ahead and get the entire Kit and a new turbo. Richard and his staff were amazing - they let me visit the shop during the process to stay educated - I don’t have much mechanical knowledge, and they were able to explain the process in layman’s terms that I understood. My truck has run incredibly well for the last 1+ year and has taken me on another 10k miles of camping trips safely and securely, no warning lights or emergencies, and with better gas mileage than before the kit! I have called a few times with questions about my new engine monitor and how best to maintain my engine, and they are always helpful and generous with their knowledge. I take my truck in for routine service, also - the new shop with large bay doors lets me keep my camper on the truck so I’m always ready for another adventure. This year, I had an issue with a tie rod - I knew I should get it replaced, and Richard suggested a reasonable plan for replacement. He never tried to ‘upsell’ me and get more repairs than needed - I was the one who suggested additional work due to the age and miles on this truck. Richard and his staff discussed the pros and cons of both approaches and never tried to convince me to spend more money than absolutely needed. Again, I was able to look at the issues involved and have them explain exactly the options on my truck - it was invaluable to me in making the decision to spend more money on this truck.I have spent a significant amount of money at Stroker, and I can unequivocally say that it has been worth it. They have ultimately saved me about 70k since I haven’t had to buy a new truck! I trust Richard and his team to take great care of me and my family - we are lucky to have them here in Salt Lake City.
Very disappointed with the service from Stroker. We had over $8000 worth of work done with them over the course of two visits about three months apart. We got our truck back after the final visit which totaled $2300 drove the truck less than 10 miles and it completely stopped running. Had it towed back to Stroker where they diagnosed several potential issues, which would cost us $5500 to fix. Never offered to stand behind the work that they had previously done or previous diagnostics that had been paid for which didnt identify any of what they claim to be the newest issues. So warning to anyone using their services, if they dont fix your vehicle when they do the work they said would fix it, they wont give you any credit or discount, they will just keep charging you and diagnosing more and more problems
When I had a very elusive problem with my 2008 F350 These guys were amazing. My initial contact had left me skeptical to say the least. however after reluctantly keeping my appointment the shop foreman and owner helped diagnose my problem. and because I had already replaced the part he thought it was. He instructed me to go and get a warranty on the part I just replaced. Not only that, he told me to come back once I installed the warrantied part and then he didnt bill me until he was sure his diagnosis was correct. He was more interested in my initial contact experience than his invoice. He truly is about customer satisfaction over billable hours. These guys are honest and trusting to say the least. And it was a pleasure to have done business with them.
I like how they called me and asked if it was okay to do more to my truck then what I brought it in for and went over the pricing with me, instead of just doing it and sticking me with an unexpected bill, they looked at my truck and fixed it right and saved me money. Very highly recommended, definitely use these guys every time.
Great service! Our excursion blew out the turbo in route from Reno to Montana and they got us back on the road quickly and efficiently. Really appreciate the good service and quick turn around time.
Nice guys and gals there ..very cool ..stop by
I never write reviews for places but I felt sooo ripped off by this place I had to hop on and warn others. I went into the shop because I had a “check engine light“ on and “check coolant additive light“ on and I also needed a new radiator. I told these guys to take care of everything that needed done as this is a company vehicle and I needed to get back on the road as soon as possible without any further issues. I told them if they take care of me they would earn my business for many years to come as we dump a lot of money into company vehicles to keep them running. I picked up my truck a couple days later after paying $2200 for repairs thinking everything is repaired just to have the same two lights come on hours later. I took it back the following day and they told me my Diesel exhaust fluid pump and reductant heater needed replaced and that’s what was causing those lights To turn on and it was going to be an additional $1200 to fix... I could not believe my ears, this was what I had originally gone in for... So your telling me I paid $2200 for a diagnostic and to get my radiator replaced...They saw how upset I was and acted like they didn’t care. Keep in mind this is during the COVID epidemic which so many businesses are hurting for business and these guys acted like they didn’t need anyone’s business. These are supposedly their “discounted” rates during this time. In reality I just think they thought I was a person from out of town because I have Texas plates on my truck (Just received the vehicle from Texas) and It’s a company vehicle so they tried to get every penny they could and do the very least. I told them many times I’m not from out of town I live in Utah and Trust me they are going to know I do because I will not rest until every person in this state and every state I travel to knows about this place. The money spent at this place is not even my money, it’s company money so I’m not even mad about that, what I’m mad about is the nerve of people to be so dishonest especially during these times we are facing. If they don’t care about your business or have sympathy through an epidemic, imagine how bad they would get you during good times.... I write this review because I don’t want anyone to experience the same Thing with their personal hard earned money. I ended up getting the repairs done at Jakes auto and truck repair in Draper It was a great experience with honest people That earned my business for many years to come.
Everyone at this shop was very courteous and professional. Richard was clear and thorough when informing us of the issues with my 05 F250 6.0. The work was completed quickly and at a reasonable cost. I definitely will recommend Striker Diesel in the future.
Being a car guy its hard to find someone that will help you figure out what problems you are having without paying an inspection fee. this morning i was messaging Richard on Facebook for 3 hours while he was helping me figure out what was going on with my truck. i was able to get my truck running again without it costing me an arm and a leg. cant thank him enough. This place will definitely be the one to work on my truck if anything major happens because of the help i got today.
Really great experience working with staff here. Thanks!
Very knowledgeable mechanics. The owner Richard was great. We had our exhaust system upgraded and a 6.0 transmission cooler added to our 7.3 Powerstroke. Richard got it done a full day ahead of schedule and for less than we originally thought it would cost. We are very impressed with the service and would highly recommend this shop to anyone!
Helpful advise on the phone while trying to figure out why my diesel ford wouldnt start. ended up towing it, courteous, professional and reasonable prices
They did a diagnosis on ol 2000 ... great service Thanks DaveB
Great place and very trustworthy people!
After I stalled for about 6 months because the project seems so overwhelming to me, I finally bit the bullet and ordered the parts parts from afar and had them shipped to Stroker diesel where they were kept under wraps and safe until l was able to make the seven hundred mile drive from San Diego to Richards shop. They did a lot of work for me including a manual transmission and transfer case swap into my four-wheel drive Excursion, ring and pinion gears, and X code leaf springs and Bilstein in the front. Im sure there was more, but the list that I had for him was extensive. He and his shop took care of everything that they promised and probably more and kept it within the budget as promised Communication was excellent the whole time and after I highly recommend the shop to locals of Salt Lake City, and as well as two people who live far away as I do.
Richard and crew are the best, 10/10 recommend taking your diesel to this amazing mechanic shop for any of your needs!!!!!! Wouldn’t go any where else
Great service and stand by there work! Truck runs amazing!
Took my husbands truck there to get a new motor put in because other shops told us that thats what needed to be done to make it run right. We have spent a ton of money and took it to 6 different shops even the dealer. so we went out of our way got a motor and took the truck to stoker diesel and dropped it off two days ago and they were asked if they could find the problem so we could save that motor and told them that would be wonderful so they called today two days after we dropped it off and gave us GREAT news that the cam shaft positioning sensor was bad and there was no need to put the new motor in saved us so much thank you Richard, Brian and who ever helped with making the truck run again. I would definitely send people to them they are great people and they dont try to take money very honest
I discovered an oil leak in our bullet proofed 6.0 while traveling through Utah. Stroker Diesel was able to look at it immediately & correct the problem. I was back on the road in less than a half an hour. They also passed on valuable knowledge about our engine. If were in the area we will definitely be returning for service. I highly recommend them!
I just wanted to thank you for the great work. I had the turbo, HPOP, new up - pipe, and main seal work done. It’s the best my van has driven since I’ve owned her. Super stoked on Stroker Diesel.
Richard came to my house to diagnose my no start problem on my 96 7.3. Had it running in less than 30 minuets. Great response and great service, at a great price!
We were on a business trip from St. George and our GMC Denali 3500hd started having problems. We were in a panic because we needed our truck to tow a 14000 pound Tiny Home from the fair. Stroker Deisel came to the rescue and got us in in a jiffy and diagnosed the problem. They were very knowledgeable and even work on vehicles for a fair price. I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends!
Richard is amazing, and is always available anytime I have questions! Very kind and knowledgeable! Will do business again for sure!
I would highly recommend this shop to any other Powerstroke / Diesel vehicle owners. They are truly diesel specialist. I scheduled a last minute appointment to diagnose a non-starting 7.3. They handled it and had me back on the road the same day! Also instead of just replacing parts right off the bat they tested and made sure they had to replace the part(s). I am 100% coming back to Stroker for all my diesel needs from now on...
They did a great job, in good time, for a great price. Will definitely go back next time
Most expert and professional I could find in Salt Lake.Great service and great advise towards some issues with my first diesel vehicle. Any mods I decide on will be installed by Stroke Diesel. Worth every cent.
Richard quoted me $3000 to1. replace high pressure oil pump,2. change oil,3. flush coolant4. Install coolant filtration systemThese guys actually test components before replacing them. Turns out the HPOP wasnt bad. Just had leaks in the high pressure oil lines. My total bill was $1200. Saving me EIGHTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS!!!! This kind of honesty and integrity is priceless.I highly recommend Stoker Diesel and will definitely be a returning customer.
Over priced! And not a clue of what there doing. But they know how to run up a bill! One star is over rating. To Richard responds. Kris dose and we have paper work to prove it. And paper work that industrial injection fix it.And all the tow bills.Down time.
I had the Stroker Solutions Kit installed on the Powerstroke 6.0 engine in my Ford E350 Sportsmobile. Richard is a very knowledgeable Powerstroke specialist who explained the work and the pricing thoroughly beforehand. Much of the solution kit is about extending the life of the engine, but the engine also starts and runs noticeably better than before. This was clearly a useful upgrade, worth every penny. Richard encouraged me to come back for future maintenance, which I saw as a good sign, meaning he stands behind his work. I can highly recommend Stroker Diesel for all your Diesel repairs and upgrades.
Didn’t buy anything, but gave me great advice and was patient and pleasant. Pointed me in the right direction for my f750 C7 diesel.
Richard and his team welcomed us and our vehicle problems with open arms. The Stroker Diesel family was very caring and polite. They answered all of my questions and answered them all with the up most patience to really to get me to understand my vehicles problem. They very kind to us and we were just travlers passing thru. I recommend this shop to all travelers who are in need. Thanks again to the Striker Diesel family
Was In SLC from out of town and my fuel filter lights had come on a day or two prior. I had some time and Stroker got me in and out in just a couple hours. Nice people and good quick service.
I contacted stroker diesels mobile service to diagnose my 07 6.0 that wouldnt start after a half hour he had an answer. Mr. Whittaker is very knowledgeable and has great customer service I will not hesitate to contact him in the future.
Had my truck in and out in a timely matter. Very good costumer service. This is the only place I trust to get my truck worked on. 5/5
Stroker Diesel is a great place to work with and great customer service
I had the misfortune of doing business with Richard at Stroker diesel about 18 months ago and I have been paying for that mistake ever since. I took it in to get an oil change and told him to check it out for anything else it needed. They found my ball joints were bad. I told him I did not want to put too much money in that axle because I wanted to replace it with a Dana 60 with lower gears. He happened to have a pair from another truck that he claimed were in great condition with only 60,000 miles. They installed the front and rear.On my way home I noticed a vibration, I stopped and found loose bolts on my rear driveshaft.I also noticed it pulled hard to left when braking. It turned out the brake caliper on front right side was frozen and not applying brakes on that side. Richard would not warranty that so I replaced that caliper. Even though they obviously did not bother even checking the calipers functioned before putting them on my truck.A few months ago, a bracket that they removed from my axle and put on the “new axle” fell off. It was welded on and it was obvious they had no business welding on an axle, or anything else for that matter.Today, the front left caliper froze on to the rotor and was dragging. Caused the brake to overheat, and catch on fire. (Small fire not catastrophic luckily).I took it to get a new caliper, and an alignment and the shop said they can’t align it because what??? You guessed it, the ball joints are sloppy. In the last 18 months I only put 5000 miles on the truck. And thanks to Stroker I have spent $5000 on my axle problems in that same time period. And I still need to replace the ball joints.
I called these boys up for a little help with my 04 6.0 truck. I have never been to a shop that this honest or professional. Brian Spiker was the individual that took care of my concerns and issues. Turns out i went in for a turbo change and all that was wrong was a dirty EGR! There are not very many shops now a days that are as knowledgeable with powerstroke motors, or are willing to send the truck back with the correct diagnosis. If you own a powerstroke and need work done, there is not a better shop in this state to help you out!! Call these guys!
Great shop! Fast reliable and fixed the truck in under an hour. Back on the road and will be back as a customer!
Stroker Diesel is by far the best place for any diesel repair or upgrades. Best service and mechanics. Deffinently the only place I will go!!!
Got a 700hp full clutch kit on my 05 cummins. Dropped it off had it done 4hrs later. No issues so far very happy with the experience and will return
A huge thanks to Richard and his crew down at stroker diesel! They were awesome! They got the truck running like a beast. Its bulletproofed and beefed up. For the money I got everything I wanted and more. Would highly recommend stroker diesel if your looking for a well done job!
Richard and his guys are outstanding! I brought my 6.0 truck in for a fan clutch swap. Pulled it in right away and got it done within a hour!
I like this company, they do really good work, they are honest and I will take my power stroke to them every time I need some work done on my truck.
Stroker diesel is honest and fair. They wont over charge and they do a great job, I would definitely recommend them for all your Ford powerstroke needs.
Awesome group of people, very pleasant to do business with.
Richard the owner is a shortcut taking cheap parts to max out his profits owner. I had my suburban rebuilt at his shop. Was given a pro e of 6700 for a full rebuild.. this is what I was told. FULL REBUILD. what I got was anything but. Had to pay an additional 250 to fix my exhuast cuz he ordered the wrong headers, had to pay another 250 to balance the motor which wasnt in the original price. Got the truck back and had a coolant leak, transmission coolerline leak and an oil leak from the pressure sending unit. After they fixed all that, they didnt tighten the distributor down so half way across the states it comes loose and I have to pay another 60 to buy a new cap and rotor due to the distributor being left loose. Another month later the wires he put on where too long and touching the headers and ended up burning through.. and now Ive found out that one of the valve springs have broke. Richard refuses to pay for repairs. Makes it out to be my fault. Says to get it to his shop. How am I supposed to do that when Im half way across the country. He wont pay a good shop here to fix it and wont pay for transport to get it back to his shop. Defenetly dont take anything there to get worked on. YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF.. LAWSUIT IS PENDING FOR TOTAL COST OF REPAIRS AND TOWING SERVICE DUE TO FAILED PARTS THIS SHOP PUT IN.Update... my motor just blew up. Barely has 5k miles on it and it blew up.
The guys are great and very knowledgeable. Very upstanding business
This shop is very knowledgeable with the 7.3l and 6.0, I will be bring my truck in the future for sure.
Jusy to start, maybe i am being too picky because i have always worked on my vehicles myself and never taken one to a shop.In the past month and a half I have taken 2 trucks here to have parts put on. The first was for injectors, intake, turbo wheel, and to put on a new set of mirrors. It was done in a decent time but not the cleanest job.The passenger side mirror has a cross threaded screw sitting half way out that I wasnt told about and hopefully the manager wasnt told about also. I also had some of my wifes things in the back seat that a mechanic had moved with obviously greasy hands. She was NOT HAPPY....The second truck was dropped off when this one was done. There was a delay on the start time from what I was told and I didnt mind, I knew they were busy. I wanted the EGT probe put on, intake, H&S fuel filter and No Limit products. When I picked it up I was told that the fuel filter had stripped and leaked. I know this is made of aluminum and should I hope have tape or sealant put on the threads. It was threaded dry and gawled the threads of the fittings. So now I have to replace those and install myself. I was also told that I had the wrong wire for the SCT to the EGT probe. When I got to looking at it myself I just plugged it into the box where it was suppose to go. It was the right wire, but the fitting to put on the probe was now lost. If there was a problem like this I would hope the manager would look at it also instead of dismissing it as the wrong wire. After the work was done on the second truck I did have problems with a intercooler boot blowing out. The shop sent a mechanic to help and a new part. Thats something most shops dont do.To finish this up I hope they research the parts more and learn from my repairs for future customers.
They really know there stuff a this shop. My truck was in and out in no time.
These guys are amazing and their prices are good too
