Mazda of Morristown always gets a 5 star rating from me and my family. We have been going to them for years and are NEVER disappointed. I had an excellent experience at Open Road Mazda. I came in to have my oil changed and they performed the oil change promptly. Not only that, but I had several small paint scratches on my car. They had initially provided a We Owe You slip for one of them when I purchased the car. I spoke with a gentleman in sales about getting the scratch taken care of. Not only did they take care of the initial scratch, but they took care of every scratch on the car free of charge. Can not thank them enough. My car feels brand new. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
Great experience at this dealership, given the current market, dealerships are rather ruthless in their dealings with customers. Julio was very professional and great to work with. Dan was also very accomodating and the overall reflection on the dealership/customer experience was great. I will definitely recommend these guys. I have had a Mazda for almost 8 years, and have been to several different Mazda service centers/dealerships in central and Northern NJ. This one continues to be my favorite. I believe they are honest and always pleasant to work with.That being said, when I suddenly, and kind of unexpectedly needed to buy a new (used) car, I knew where my first stop would be. This is NOT the time to buy a car- dealerships around the country are having a hard time getting in stock- so prices are a bit inflated and harder to negotiate. Its a sellers market. I still gave it a shot though! Sherif worked with me, and he has been nothing but kind and respectful throughout the process. I still need to bring my new purchase back for some light body work, but hes been more than willing to accommodate my crazy work schedule. Overall, I am, once again, incredibly pleased by this place!
I recently had my car serviced at Open Road Mazda in Morristown, my go-to location when I need my Mazda 6 looked at (especially since they gave me such a good deal on it 3 years ago). Not only did they provide me with a loaner, they actually charged me exactly what they originally said AND fixed the problem, even though I kept the loaner for an additional day - tell me what dealership does that? Few, very few. Danielle was phenomenal, responsive, caring, empathetic, professional and knowledgable. I am considering going back just to visit and say hi! Thats the impression the Staff especially Danielle left on me. In addition, Edna was amazing as well when she followed-up with me the week after my service. Caring as well, empathetic and professional, she genuinely wanted to see how I was doing not just how my car was. I feel lucky to have Open Road of Mazda so close to my home and fortunate to have bought my car from their dealership. They are a dealership others should look to as an example. Just purchased a pre-owned vehicle from Open Road Mazda of Morristown and we were very happy with the service provided. Despite being extremely busy, Mikhail took the time to answer all of our questions and walk us through the cars features. He noted a minor issue with a bumper and made sure it was repainted before we even came in to pick up the vehicle. Communication was excellent. Highly recommend doing business with this dealership, they do things right.

Horrible! Awful service. I came from a bad situation generate by then and on top of that they make even worst.I acquire my NEW CX-5 car on that dealership on 2019, last Saturday I got a flat tire, after calling Geico they send a tech guy and after trying to replace with the spare for my surprise the car was sold with a different spare that won’t fit in my car. I had to try on Saturday some place to fix my tire. I promptly call to Open Road, and explain and they schedule for me to come on Tuesday Sep 28th, since my car would be there I schedule the oil change. I took the day off and drive from Jersey City and left the car there around 9:30. According Daniella from service center the car should be ready around 5PM on the same day. Around 3:30 I ping then and they change the delivery from 5 to 6, not ideal but fine. Then 5 minutes later I receive a text saying that the car won’t be ready today. I immediately call them, and according to them I can pick up the car, nothing was done and i could bring to the tomorrow again. So to recap, they sold me a car with the wrong spare, I take the day off and drive for 1 hour, i stay the whole day in the town waiting for the service to be completed. Now the solutio is : come tomorrow. Extremely lack of professionalism on theit side. I had schedule to replace my car for another Mazda, forget it they would never see a dollar from me again, now I will contact Mazda directly to point some dealership that can replace my spare tire! What a waste of my time.
I was very happy with the service provided at Open Road Mazda. It is absolutely a difficult time to be buying a car with chip shortages and recent local flooding. I was thrown into the car buying market unexpectedly after suffering a total loss of my vehicle in the hurricane.Quazi Alam, the sales consultant I had the pleasure of working with, was very understanding of my situation and budget. I had just 5 weeks with my rental before I needed to find a car, which is very challenging given the current market. Quazi called me as soon as a car came into the lot meeting the specifications I was hoping for.I felt that Quazi was genuinely on my side to ensure I found the car I wanted in the limited time frame I had. He collaborated well with managers and the service team to get the car prepped for me to take home. There was some delay in the preparation of the car, but Quazi acted as my advocate to speed the process.Overall, I was very happy with my experience at Open Road Mazda, largely thanks to Quazi, and I highly recommend visiting.
I had an overall smooth experience. As someone who finds these situations unnecessarily adversarial, Open Road had nice staff. I mainly worked with Marty for the sale of my used Mazda 3, which has been running great. He was helpful, interested, and informative. The test drive was great; it was a solo drive. Some other dealers have you follow them in a separate car during a test drive, which is understandable--but then youre driving how they drive. They also recommended a good route to take the car (287, partly on 10, residential streets).The finance gentleman was also pretty informative and clear on the details of the warranty. Warranties are a bummer to pay, but a good peace of mind (as an aside).

I definitely recommend this dealership!! My experience with Thalia Chaparro and Steve Mottola was very easy and enjoyable. The Finance Manager, Ernie, was great too! I did not feel pressured and they did everything they could to get me the best deal possible. I felt comfortable in their hands. One thing I will say is that the GM of this store was not very friendly. I don’t know if he was rushing to get out of there but he barely even looked at his customers, let alone greeted them. Other than that, great experience!
After being treated with utter disrespect at two different Mazda dealerships in Queens, NY and Garden City, NY, I was ready to give up and buy my car on Carvana. But, we decided to try one more dealership and went to Morristown NJ. Night and day difference. My salesman, Sherif Haskaj, not only allowed me to test-drive a car without any attitude, he accompanied us on the drive and explained different features of the car. We bought because he was professional and respectful, and we trusted him. Every person who we encountered by phone and in-person was professional, including Ed and Ernie. My wife came here to sign a lease deal. After hours of negotiating the vehicle and price, she went to pick up the car that day and sign the paperwork. After the paperwork was signed, she was told that that car wouldnt be ready for at least three more days because of a software update, and she couldnt have it. My own Mazda had a software upgrade and it took about 40 minutes to do it.This was a major inconvenience but the dealership didnt seem to care at all, as if it was perfectly normal to sell customers cars that were under repair and unavailable. They simply shrugged it off knowing they had our money.Ridiculously unprofessional.
Really want to highlight the amazing job that Adrian did with helping me find a car that fit my budget. I wasnt planning on purchasing a car, let alone a new one, so soon but after my car being totaled I found myself shopping yet again. Adrian took me in at the end of his work day, set me up with a test drive, and then talked numbers and expectations. He was completely understanding about my financial situation and did everything in his power to get me a deal that I would be happy with and man did he! He was totally transparent about costs, fees, taxes and helped figure out how I can afford the car that works best for me. He even was able to get me a 2 contract deal so I wouldnt be car-less while I waited for the majority of my down payment to come from the insurance company. I could go on and on about his outstanding customer service. He is such an asset to the team at open roadazda of morristown and cant wait until I need to buy another car just so I can deal with him again! Truly made car shopping way too easy!!

Just a bad experience. Made an appointment, earliest appointment date was 10 days from then. Selected a courtesy car. 16 hours before the appointment, they called to tell me they did not have courtesy cars available and I was not allowed to wait because the repair would take too long to wait. She said that their courtesy cars are not guaranteed to be there. She asked if I wanted to reschedule, at which point I asked how I would I know if they will have a courtesy car available. Id just have to wait until 16 hours before to find, or then reschedule again. Basically, if you dont have anyone to drive you from the Mazda repair shop or if you arent able to change your schedule with less than 24 hours notice, dont go there.
I just drove home from this dealership (smiling the whole way) grateful to Julio and Steve for making it possible to own my dream car. The whole experience was easy and enjoyable. Julio, my salesman, was so personable .You could tell he truly wants to work with you and not against you. It was a lovely, painless experience, with good conversation and professional service. Look for Julio for when you go in!

Had a great experience with Open Road Mazda about a month ago. I had been looking for a specific vehicle that had certain features for quite some time. I swore I would never buy a car from a dealership, so when I found the car at Open Road Mazda I was very leery. I was immediately assigned a sales person, Thalia Chaparro. She was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and all its amenities and got me set up for a test drive.After that, I was sold. I didn’t let on how much I liked it, and Thalia never pressured me to buy. My husband and I looked it over inside and out, but couldn’t find anything that would change my mind. We sat down with Thalia and Dan Pepe and agreed on a price that we felt was a great deal.We were from upstate NY and I wanted to drive it home that day but it had not gone thru the thousand-point inspection process yet. I would have taken it just the way it was, I didn’t care, but they insisted on making sure that there was nothing wrong with it. The only problem was that there was no one available that could do the inspection at the time, so they gave me a beautiful loaner vehicle to drive home instead. The following Monday, they had my vehicle delivered to my house, and drove the loaner vehicle back.I really felt that the people at Open Road Mazda went above and beyond what normal dealerships do. I love the vehicle and I hope I drive it for a really long time. I will definitely be back.

The service writers, Greg Benc and Ray OBrien, are the best Ive worked with. They are knowledgeable, keep you informed and explain the work performed. They are committed to providing a great service experience. I trust them to service my vehicles and will continue to have my Mazdas serviced at Open Road for many years to come.

I worked with Sharif Haskaj to find me a replacement vehicle for my old one that broke down with no warning. He was super professional and was able to hook me up with the exact vehicle I wanted. A well loved, low mileage 08 subaru outback. I truly lucked out to have Sharifs guidance. And even though i had them replaced the rotors, brakes and tires on my new car, he was able to shave off a majority of those expenses for me! He was even able to drive it out of state to meet with me, finalize paperwork and all! Ive had this vehicle for over a month now and I cant find any issue with it. I cannot thank Sharif enough. I worked with Sherif, and he was amazing throughout the entire process. He was so patient while helping pick out the exact style of the CX-5 that I wanted (I’m super indecisive- can be really annoying). He never once complained about helping me decide. He explained everything there was to know about the car. Showed several different styles and colors, and walked me all around the whole lot in the terrible heat without an ounce of hesitation. He was very pleasant to speak with, knowledgeable, and very very kind. He followed up with me about the car a few days later, and even sent me picture of an old label that I needed off the car I traded in over a week later! Service Dept is first rate!! Ive had several of my Mazdas serviced at Openroad Mazda over the years. In the last few months I found myself having some issues with my 2016 Miata...the transmission failed only a few days out of the 5yr powertrain warranty. Greg in the service department helped me get Mazda to cover it for free. He was very helpful! Then when I picked it up 2 month later the nav screen was cracked from sitting in the direct heat for 2 months while waiting for the trans to come in. They covered this too!! Ray in service COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER...hes friendly, helpful and very personable. This guy knows customer service and you will be treated like a king. He remembers my name whenever I come in and is always so helpful. Ive witnessed him dealing with other customers while Im waiting and he takes care of everyone with the same level of care. Im in the hotel business and we are all about service...Ray and Greg get it. I will always go back to Openroad Mazda whenever I need service. Many thanks to Ray and Greg for helping me out...you guys are awesome.

I went here today because my Audi lease was expiring and I was thinking of moving towards an SUV and my wife had leased from this location a few years ago. These folks had the audacity to propose a lease on a $33k MSRP Mazda CX5 at $585 a month. The manager came out with some schtick and as soon as I saw the #s I promptly left. I will be leasing a 2021 Audi A4 for $399 a month with an MSRP of $43k .. dont get ripped off by these clowns at this dealership. I got a very used car dealership vibe from this place.

Horrible experience. Went in with an approval from the bank for a car I wanted. I was told my approval numbers are not correct and my bank is asking for more money down. I walked out and called my bank and the dealership was asking for 4 thousand over the value of the advertised car plus their dealership fees and etc. My bank sent me the numbers they inquired for vs what it was supposed to be.I am very disappointed. I took another approval from my bank to another dealership and it was quick and easy. Everything in the approval was acknowledge by the dealership and went straight to talk to the bank to get me the car I wanted.

HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDING THIS PLACE AT ALL. RATHER BUY CARS FROM DIFFERENT PLACE. The service center is not helpful at all. I have had tire pressure sign on since some time even after I go my tires check at the Mazda service center, and also at Costco so I called for appointment to check and see what was wrong and they have no customer service skills. They do not care about anything just keeps on moving the appointment forward and forward.

Kyle brought the car to my home for me to test drive-Nicole worked diligently to get me the best deal and Bob taught me everything I needed to know about my new car. I had a terrible buying experience at Open Road Mazda in Morristown. On Nov 14, 2020 I bought a 2013 Chevrolet Traverse with 107,00 miles. I knew I was buying a used car with over 100,000 miles but that was that I can afford and since I was approved for a car loan they offered me a power train warranty for 2 years or 24,000 miles plus they told the car was inspected in their service department and they said nothing was wrong. So I agreed to pay the selling price plus the HIGHPre delivery inspection fee 1,295 plus 699 HIGH documentation feeAnd taxes, registration plus the cost is the extended warranty.Took the car home and next day I notice a sound coming from then engine so I called my sales person and and I explained him the issue. He called me back saying he reported it to his manager James and he will take care of that and I have nothing to worry because I have a good warranty and they will tell me when to bring the car to their service department. A month after I called then back to complaint since no body called me then they put me in schedule to get loaner car for December 30 so I drove the car back to the dealership that day. A week after that Ray a Service Advisor called and told me I will need a new engineBut they were having a problem with the extended warranty and he will let me know. Two weeks after he called me back and said the warranty will not be honor and I will need to talk to the sales department to get this resolved. I called the sales person then again he told me his manager James said he will take care of this problem. They asked me to fill out another credit application but I don’t trust them anymore. I feel that they have no respect for a customer who trust this dealership: meanwhile, I still driving a loaner car for more than two months,by the way the mazda 6 they put in is very small for my family, we have 4 children that’s why I bought the traverse a much bigger car. For all these reasons I would not recommend this dealership and one star is to much for them. My next action is hire a lawyer and I am sure when they hear from him they will changed their mind and hopefully either they give me all my money back including the payments I already sent to the bank or put me in a similar car like the traverse without any extra cost to me.

Nothing but problems and trouble from the day I went to this dealership on April 30. First they double charged me for gap insurance, it took 12 days to get this corrected since nobody would return my calls I’ll get back to me. Then I had to go back to the dealership a second time since they forgot to give me paperwork to sign for my trade in the first time. This caused a delay in processing of the permanent registration, and now my temporary registration expires today May 30, however we were supposed to go out of town on vacation for memorial day weekend but I opted not to go because I did not wanna be driving with an expired temp tag, which could cause the vehicle to get impounded, and not released until a valid registration is provided, which I am unable to obtain thanks to the dealerships delays and incompetency. Ernie the finance manager, screwed up the paperwork several times, including the fact that I leased this vehicle on April 30, yet when I signed into my Mazda financial account it shows the lease was started on May 11, but yet they deny that these delays caused a delay in processing with motor vehicle, there are no more Covid extensions on licenses or registrations in the state of New Jersey, therefore driving this vehicle after today I risk the Possibility of getting the vehicle impounded,I began calling the dealership on Monday, May 24 in an attempt to get this resolved yet once again nobody returned my calls and I kept getting the runaround, so on Wednesday, May 26 I contacted Mazda Corp, who returned my call on Thursday, May 27 and told me that I could go to the dealership and get another temporary tag, I went to the dealership on Saturday, May 29 and was told that they would not give me a temporary tag replacement until the current one expired. Being that the current one expires on Sunday, May 30 which is today and the dealership is closed, they told me to go back on Monday, May 31, which now causes me to be operating a vehicle with an expired temp tag and therefore unregistered in the state of New Jersey. This is the worst customer service I have ever been given in my entire life, do not waste your time or money at this dealership they are incompetent and untruthful. Also when I traded my vehicle in, I was told that it would cost them money to remove the tinted windows because they cannot legally sell a vehicle with tinted windows in the state of New Jersey, yeah every vehicle they sell out of this dealership has an a legal license plate frame that obstructs the plate, in violation of New Jersey Title 39.However after they took my vehicle on the trade-in 10 days later it is listed on their website as a certified preowned vehicle with the same tinted windows, and I saw it on their lot for sale with the same tinted windows that they claim are illegal to sell with the vehicle.Worst dealership I have ever been to not not waste your time or money here you will be disappointed and most likely cheated somehow, they charge a $699 document fee, yet can’t get my Registration on time and blame motor vehicle for their screwup’s with the paperwork which caused this delay

Sheriff helped me find the exact car I was looking for and went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy. Brought a car in to be inspected after buying from a used car dealer, and they were extremely communicative and helpful, willing to use a courtesy ride etc. The car ended up needing far more repairs than I was willing to do and Ill be returning it, but I wanted to give a shoutout to Ray who put up with my frequent calls checking to see if the car was done before I had to go to work and wouldnt be able to pick it up. He and his crew stayed late and he gave me honest advice, treating me like family. That is above and beyond to me. I took one star away only because the repairs were very expensive, but thats the standard of a dealer.

I went to Open Road with a specific car in mind and working with them was a pleasure. They were very knowledgeable and professional throughout the whole process. They did their best to accommodate my desired price and trade in and I feel we came to a very fair conclusion. The wait to fill out paperwork was longer than I expected, but Clark, my salesperson, sat with me in the down time to review important points in the manual and sat with me in the car to personalize the infotainment system. I am very pleased with my new car and have already recommended this dealership to friends who are in the market.

Horrible management, seems like they dont want to sell cars at all. We found a great priced Mazda CX-3 online and went in to test-drive. We started discussing price and they quoted us some ridiculously high dealer fees and such. We negotiated with Josh, one of their sales reps, and he was very helpful and accommodating in knocking down the price. In the process of negotiating, Josh had to go on vacation so we tried calling the general manager, Robert Alfonso, to finish the deal. We called 4 times throughout the day (in a span of 6 hours) and each time they said he was in a meeting and would call us later. Finally when we got a hold of him, he said our negotiated price was too low and that the car was already sold. We didnt believe him so we called again twice using fake names to ask about the car and both times they said it was available. He blatantly lied to us to get us off his back. If hes trying to anger customers, hes doing a fantastic job. We were still very interested in the car but after being lied to, we couldnt trust the dealer and looked elsewhere. Go find a new dealer, DO NOT GO HERE!

Overcharged for registration fees that they didn’t even send in for us. We were told that anything over the amount we paid would be given back, I have been calling for over a year now. No response. I was told they mailed a check, never received anything and nobody will return my calls. We had to pay to register the car on our own, because they didn’t do that even though they charged us for it. We sent them all of the information for military registration in another state, nothing was done. Several issues with the car when we drove off. The fact that over a year and a half now of calling and nothing has been done yet. Save yourself the stress and dishonest employees that promise one thing but when you sign the paper that all goes out the window.I will update if they ever answer or return my calls.11/20/20 I received a check for the license and registration fees that were never processed. This is after constantly calling for almost 2 years. I will change to a 3 star since the check was sent.
