Took my car to find out why it was overheating they came back telling me the heads were bad. I asked about repairing it and they suggested putting in a new engine. I paid the diagnostics fee and took my car home depressed and worried that I needed a new engine. I decided to get a second opinion and Im glad I did. The overheating was being caused by a faulty radiator cap. This should have been checked first.

Went for one specific item but they no longer carried it. All floor items were 40% off. Asked why and found out that Pep Boys was becoming Advance Auto Parts, probably why the part was no longer going to be stocked. Too bad, I liked Pep Boys.

Got an oil change then drove 300 miles before i figured out, I HAD NO OIL... Went back, rude service, got yelled at, told me nothing would to my car driving without oil.. My car has had nothing but problems since and i had only had it 2 months.. Then after they put the right oil in. Oh yes it was the wrong oil.. The one who changed for the second time SLAMMED MY HOOD SO HARD I HEARD IT OUT IN THE PARKING LOT.. I will never go there for anything ever ever never again. And ive told my family and friends not either.. Terrible terrible customer service And when it was there mistake ... The best part that i almost forgot. The photo says it all. That is the cap he put back on after forgetting the oil.... You would think if it was like that or he did it. He would have said something.. WOW is all i have to say..

Brought my truck in to get an alignment. Waited 4 hours for a call to tell me, we cant do your alignment, please come pick up your truck. Im thinking, do I get an explanation first? The guy mumbled something over the phone which I couldnt decipher so I headed down to get my truck. When I get there, the same guy, tells me my tie-rods are bad & I need a full front end inspection. He was holding my keys out before he said anything as to usher me away. Had I not pursued the issue, I wouldve walked out of there scratching my head. Bad customer service. Real bad

I went in for a tire change and Ron was super helpful he went above and beyond to make sure that the insurance company provided me with full payment of my service although he was by his self and had a long line he didn’t lose his cool and was very patient with me and the company on the ph while insuring the other customers he’ll be with them in one moment...Thank you for your service

I went in to get a alignment and they damaged my rim during the process on top of that they didnt tell me about it it looks like they tried to cover it up called it into service deparment all they said lets take a look at it once seen they seen the rim they said they cant prove they did the damage unfortunately i came in for an alignment came out with a little extra (damage) on my rim thanks for the great job boys!!! You guys know exactly what your doing.

Not saying the entire place is bad I am saying you have those mechanics that are ripping people off saying certain things are wrong with the car and come to find out what they claim they fixed was not fixed at all instead cause another problem to my vehicle .Will be taking my experience to the corporate level. Came in for oil change. They used to be a good place to come to. They said they were understaffed someone called off sick. I heard this twice in the last month. Its better in my opinion to take down the street. Pay a little extra and be done in about 30 minutes.

I was stranded in Moreno valley while picking up a kitten when my tired decided to blow out. Living in san Diego and not having my lug key (I have after market wheels and lights) I ended up having to leave car there for 3 days.... I finally got my key and new toewd after a stressful few days. The workers were extremely helpful and kind for helping me out during the whole situation. Thank you all for your understanding and willingness to help. You definitely saved me!

UPDATE: I contacted the Pepboys email after they responded to my review and Im upgrading this review to 4 stars due to their response. The manager called us, apologized, and set us up with a new appointment and a discount. Great experience with their response and we will be coming back.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Went in at 6 pm today for a scheduled oil change appointment only to be told that the car couldnt be serviced as there were no mechanics in the garage for the rest of the night. Really? Then why not at least contact us so that we didnt come home from work early/drive here from home if you knew no one would be available for the appointment we booked a week in advance? We confirmed that the appointment was listed on their books. No further explanation or compensation was offered. Low quality service all around.

I Usually dont take the time to write reviews but this one was worth it, Tire service guy name AL, Was very unprofessional, He tried to scam me with the price after calling different stores I was able to get it lower cost for about $64.. I ask for assistant manager she had no Knowledge of nothing I was informed by her to ask the same guy that was trying to scam me AL .. Same result Nothing but cheating customers like me and you.. Came in with repairable tire I purchased around late August last year. Because I had road hazard guarantee I assumed this would be a reasonably easy fix and I would be on my way without problems. No such luck, while waiting on me, the service advisor kept making creepy jokes. He made one about a connection between coffee and prostrate & testicular cancers which was weird to say the least and made me very uncomfortable. Then he said he couldnt locate my purchase of 4 tires I bought in August or September of last year on the computer. He told me that my tire was too old to repair, insisting that I had purchased the tires over 7 years ago! I tried to insist the tires were relatively new but he wouldnt look at the tire nor would he look any further for the records of my purchase! Out of frustration and because I was stuck and couldnt drive with a flat, I ended up purchasing a new tire so I could drive again. When I went home, I looked and found the receipt for my 4 tires which turned out to be only 10 months old! I ended up having to take more of my time to return to Pep boys to get situation corrected. A different person handled the return issue. She was very helpful, polite and professional and she didnt make any strange jokes.

I have always received great service from you guys. Thank you. I recently took my car to Raceway Nissan dealer for a recall, I decided to give them a try for an oil change as the girl helping me was very helpful and unlike any employee I have met at your typical car dealerships. On the day of my appointment, she was not there but the guy helping me only reaffirmed the reasons I quit going to the dealers for service. Not only do you guys provide great customer service but often go above and beyond to make sure I have been happy with my service. Had tires shipped to Pep Boys from Tire Rack as they were listed as a recommended installer, TR even e-mailed me a price breakdown of what I could expect to pay and recommended I print out the prices to show in store. Sure enough the quote was $50 more until I brought up the pricing from TR, after some back and forth it was adjusted. While waiting for my new tires to be put on we tried to use the restroom, since the roof was falling in they had closed off an entry/exit door and put a sign up that the restroom was in use. After my kids nearly peed their pants for the 10th time an employee walked by and mentioned the restroom was actually closed and we should use the employee restroom, gross! The work was completed on time but they left gobs of tire sealant all over my nice alloy rims which also had some new small scratch marks around the edge. The price was good, the service adviser was decent, the work performed was sub-par, and the facilities were a hot mess.

Wish I can give you a zero rating. I am trying to call your Moreno Valley store as I am typing and your phone number doesnt even work. It wont even ring. On the cellphone it just hangs up. On the house phone it does nothing, no sound at all. I called at 7:40pm and you close at 8pm. Just wanted to ask a simple question. Not convenient at all for someone who is busy.

Made an appointment which made everything much easier. The car was ready within 1 hour. Sitting area was comfortable enough and had a TV. Matt was very attentive and friendly. My car only needed an oil change and the price was very reasonable. Four stars because the sitting area could be better, but everything else was great.

They always s look like they are not busy but every time I have gone in there for an oil change I get the same BS line, its going to be at least 2 hours,we have 2 OR 3 cars ahead of you today I was blunt and said thats fine Ive been back 3 days now trying to get an oil change, wheres a Ford dealership near here, Id rather take me Ford to s Ford Quick Lane anyway. I wont have to wait for them.and I will walked out...Ill never set foot in another Pep Boys again.

2 hours to wait for my appointment to have my car inspected. Then another 40 minutes to get the paperwork done. Only to have the inspector not date it so my paperwork was rejected. Staff was average, more focused in each other than the customer. Would definitely not go here again.

Went there this morning; fearing the worst with my ML320 transmission fluid leak. Yet, the people at Pep Boys Yucaipa Branch where able to fix it with ease. On 10/31/2017 I had service performed on my car at Pep-boys which was a oil change on 12/22/2017 I was driving my car when it shut off and would not start after five minutes of driving it. So I check the Oil and realize that The car had no oil in it, I immediately took the car back to Pep Boys so they could check it. To come the situation pep boys offer to do a free oil change. in the process of doing the oil change one of the mechanics put the car up on the wrong car rack and damage the body of the car and tried to convince me that it would be OK and nothing was wrong with it. I do not know if they put some oil in the car or put no oil in the car but when I return the car it was Empty meaning the Oil. And now I can hear a ticking sound in the motor

Just got an oil change last week and already my car is leaking crazy amount of oil. Good thing I caught it before it did major damage to my engine. Made an appointment on MLK day so hopefully they can fix the issue. Ill be back to provide an update.

Today I made an appointment for 6PM, checked in at 5:50PM. By 7PM my car was still sitting outside and nothing had been done after an hour.All I went in for was a basic oil change. Im capable of doing the oil change myself, but I thought I would take it in tonight to get it done with. I regret it. I wasted an hour of my life waiting for them.By 7:10 I went inside and asked for my car keys, I left. They still had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to wait a little longer lol. I will never take my car to this place again. Bad service.

I am 8 months pregnant and need tires on my car. I made an online purchase in the morning for 4 tires and scheduled an appointment for install next day. That same evening, I received an e-mail saying my appointment was cancelled. I called and spoke with Manny. Told him I did not cancel. He said they already had customers and I was overbooked so they cancelled me. I said, okay so what time can you fit me in? He said, they are completely booked. I was not called prior to them cancelling nor accomodated when I called. They will never have my business with this poor customer service.

Worst customer service ever from a automotive service shop. I had an appointment for 10am, and when I arrived, the service advisor told me that he cannot honor my appointment, because I made it on the same day, and that it would take 4-5 hours for a simple oil change. They had 2 hours to contact me and let me know this but they let me drive 15 miles to them for nothing at all. I also wanted to inquire about a set of 4 tires, so it looks like I will be going elsewhere. I understand we all get busy, but simple customer service like calling your customers, or having the appropriate staff to serve them, goes a long way in the service industry. You should probably call to confirm your appointment (even though you receive confirmation online) because they clearly dont honor anything.

Never been a fan of Pepboys. Too expensive and they try to nickle and dime you at every corner. I wanted to make sure I was ordering a specific hose, and I wanted to pay them for installation. Instead of going that easy route, they said they had to do a mandatory diagnostic check for $89. Then have me order the pvc so and then pay them for installation. I already knew what needed to be replaced. And ended up just doing it on my own.

I had went to this place to change spark plugs and fuel filter. they change spark plugs then called me and said my wires were fried after I had put wires in a year ago. they could not change my fuel filter wanted to charge more. They held my car for 2 days to complete a easy task. And remember if you go there they will use the my technician called in sick tactic that way they keep your car longer. The only reason why I gave them one star is because they paid for my rental car thats the only good thing that came out of pep boys in Moreno Valley on Sunnymead.

Awesome service. I took my car with some weird noise coming out of my rear tire. Vince, service Manager took care of it promptly. He was very helpful and honest. It turned out that a rock was stuck inside the brake rotor. I recommend you talk to Vince if you go there.

Absolutely the worst experience ever for the repair department 10 years ago brought in rotors after I had them turned when I put them on my car the foot pedal had a half inch play up and down up and down they were unsavable they would not replace them. I should have reported it to BAR Bureau of Automotive Repair. Tryed one more time recently took rotors in well within limits they wouldnt turn them light hot Spot. Will never go back for service. Best valley smog & AUTO turn them said nothing wrong with them. Also the service at pep boys counter was terrible had asked him to call for some help I ended up finding someone else to retrieve my rotors. For automotive repair dont go to pep boys. Try best valley smog & auto.

Had a very pleasurable experience at this particular Pepboys. Antonia and Miguel took time out of their busy schedule to help me in my visit. Miguel was very knowledgeable in his explanation of the different oil filters and found the perfect match for my vehicle. The store manager Antonia even walked me through the process of a web order to help me get a even bigger discount in these difficult times. Much appreciated! Will now be visiting this Pepboys for the great hospitality.

Horrible service! I had an appointment for 7:30 am to have a tire patched. I sat there for almost 2 hours an my vehicle was still sitting. I asked what the hold up was and I was told that the tire could not be repaired and I needed a new tire but they didn’t have it and it had been ordered. 2 more hours went by and when I returned I asked but no one had even ordered the tire because the person that had originally helped me was gone and never ordered the tire. I asked for the manager and I was told that I had 3 options: I could have my tire patched after all and I could return the next day for the new tire. Or I could wait there while one of their employees drove to Redlands to pick one up, or I could be given a ride home and they’d come pick me up when it was fixed to pick it up. I told them to put my tire back on so I could go somewhere else and I left and called their customer relations department still waiting for their call.

Had a bad experience whereby counter service rep told me that alternator was bad.....after having AAA check out the system by requesting they do a battery service....nothing wrong with alternator.....just a bad battery (they needed to replace it at no cost to me, but they wouldnt because they said the alternator was bad).....can you spell rip off? Went back the next day and provided the manager with all the proof that there was nothing wrong with the cars charging system other than a bad battery. The manager (a top notch man) refunded all of cost of a replacement battery plus all of the labor costs.

Horrible serviceI called in before going to make sure they had all the parts for a wheel barrel replacement and an oil change Vince said they did. I took my car to the shop waited there for 2.5 hrs with my 2 month baby and daughter for them to tell me that the pieces just arrived to come back Friday after waiting for 2.5 no oil change was done nor the wheel barrel. We go in for an oil change and they try to tell us we need $2400 worth of work done to my car. One of the problems was I need a radiator flush because it clogged. Worst Customer Service! Beto the wannabe Mechanic doesn’t know what he’s doing. He said I needed breaks and Break Rotors. They were trying to charge me $800 dlls I took it somewhere else and they said my rotors were good. I only payed $140 to change the breaks.
