Do yourself a favor and go see Dave. I know it’s a small no frills shop that takes you back in time, but If you want a honest, straight shooting mechanic that gives you a fair price for quality work, go see Dave. They know their stuff and only fix what is needed and only charge for the time it takes to do the job. Can’t say that about many other places. Your mechanic should be like your doctor, you have to find someone you trust. I’ll be back to see Dave next time the Suburban needs a little TLC or maintenance (hopefully not soon). I got in my first accident ever the last week of December in 2018 and ended up totaling my car. After being extremely shaken up and having the other drivers mother get out of the car and immediately yelling at me the police called a tow truck for my car while I waited for family to come pick me up. I got so lucky that the tow company they called was Daves. Dave showed up and immediately came over and asked if I was okay. Breaking down and crying in front of him he gave me a hug and some of the best life advice I could have ever received. I cant talk much on his mechanic skills since my car was deemed totaled but what I can say is that Dave cares about more than just the money. They truly do care for their customers and he will forever have my business in the future. I recommend Daves Towing to everyone!

I would highly recommend Daves for any auto repair.Yesterday my truck broke down on I-77 with a cracked radiator. I called Daves because it was 6:30 am and have 24-hour towing along with an A+ Better Business Bureau rating. They quickly towed my vehicle to the shop and started diagnosing the problem immediately. Dave and his mechanic Paul were both extremely knowledgeable and courteous. I had hoped the problem was a burst hose, but they walked me through an inspection of all the hoses and showed me exactly where the radiator was spilling fluid. They gave me a very reasonable, itemized estimate for the repair work, and kept to it. The vehicle was fixed and driveable by early afternoon.I was several hours from home when this happened with no good way to get back. Instead of trying to take advantage of the situation, Dave and his guys did everything they could to get my truck back on the road as quickly as possible for a fair price.

I thought that this would be my go-to place for car repairs. The first few times I brought my car to them, the repairs were quick and within a day turnaround. Over time, I took my car to them and slowly, I found myself calling to check up a day later to see if when my car would be diagnosed so I can plan rides to work and schedule picking up my car. Today, 2 days after I dropped off my car, I finally had to call in and find out the status of my car because I needed it for this weekend. When I called, Alex told me the car issues and proceeded to FIX THE CAR without me asking for the repair as I didnt have the estimate. On the phone, without me saying to revert the mechanical changes, he told the mechanic to go ahead and take off the part. He then told me that if money was an issue I shouldnt have brought the car into them in the first place (when in fact I asked them to take a look at it and let me know what was wrong with it; I never told them to just go ahead and fix it without calling me first). Money wasnt the issue, I was just surprised by the price without calling me. I couldnt get them to call me, both times in the past 36 hours, I had to call them to find out what was going on). When I showed up to pay for the labor charge (which was OUTRAGEOUS for just getting a diagnostics), Alex was curt with me, and when I asked about the quote for the spark plug cables and plugs, he said he didnt get a quote. Then, he didnt say anything after that. No thank you for stopping by, no plan on getting work done. Im done with this shop. Integrity levels have decreased in the past year, and its honestly because I havent seen Dave around there. I trusted Dave and what he had to say; Im in no way pleased with the way Alex has treated me. Yeah, I may say I will stop by and get my car fixed at some point and not show up due to unforeseen expenses, but I was always going to bring my business to them. Now, I will gladly find someone else to work with.

I’m new to town and my water pump went out on one car they fixed for less and on time. My other car the axle went out i priced on line just to see what I was dealing with. It scared me the prices that I saw so I got up the nerve and called Dave’s he said no problem the price was 75% lower then what I saw. Dave’s is honest and consistent I deemed them my go to mechanic from this day forward thanks Dave’s you guys are awesome 😎👌👍

Super quick to respond and arrive to my breakdown just off the interstate 5 miles away. Knew i was at the beginning of a long drive at the beginning of a 3 year overdue vacation and worked magic to get me back on the road despite having thw wrong part shipped (fords fault not his by any stretch of the imagination). Very friendly, reasonably priced. Ask Dave about his cudas!!!

I had Daves drive quite a distance to tow my 1993 Dodge Ram truck into Mooresville. It was rainy and muddy and my truck was in a field. Not the ideal place for a rollback but I never got a single complaint about towing it. The guys were friendly and helpful and kept me informed as to the whereabouts and condition of my truck. Several months later I again took my truck to Daves for service on several issues with it. Being a female I was skeptical at first about the quality of service id receive but I was pleasantly surprised by the affordable labor rates, quality of work, phone communication and overall experience with Daves. I had to take the truck back for a gas hand that still wasnt working but they apologized and resolved the issue. Goes to show this shop isnt a typical shop. I wont trust my old truck with anybody else. Or any of my other vehicles for that matter.

So I was being quoted by other places 300-400$ to fix my brakes. One rotor needed to be replaced and the other turned. I know how much parts cost and all and I get labour cost. But thats more than I currently have to my name. So My husband found this place Daves Auto in Mooresville. He has my car done THAT DAY and it was only 230$! Dave was super kind and an absolute pleasure! Youll have our business for a life time!

Dave and his mechanics do great work, take the time to explain the repairs to me, are less expensive than the competition, are friendly, and provide me with a ride to work! Ill return to Daves when my car next needs service.

Theres a reason why Dave has been in business for such a long time in Mooresville, its because he gets the job done no matter what it is big or small they pretty much do it all, jump starts/ Lock outs, air conditioning, tires, batteries, engine lights, rebuild engines, brake jobs, electrical they have the equipment that it takes and mechanics that know what theyre doing and have been there for a long time, one mechanic has been there for over 18 years and has been a mechanic for over 30 years & his shop manager 30yrs exp & mechanic as well,and they do it all with the upmost professionalism, and they still have the best hourly rate in town.
