I switched to Erie Insurance about 10 years ago after my stopped vehicle was struck from behind by a texting driver, who appropriately received a citation. Even though I was making no claim, my insurance company at the time treated me very rudely. Shortly after, I switched all my insurance to Erie through the Jeff Hammett Agency.Last April, a severe windstorm did extensive damage to our exterior structures and pontoon boat. Jeff filed a claim immediately which got the adjusters working quickly on our behalf. The adjusters have been very thorough and very fair in processing the claim. We are extremely happy with Jeff and rest of the Erie team.

I am not a fan of insurance companies as a whole. I believe in many instances their goal is simply not to pay...to make it as difficult for the insured as possible so that they either accept non-payment or just give up fighting for it.This is not at all the case with Erie. I have had 3 legit claims (including 1 difficult subrigation situation), and my Agent Jeff Hammett was all over it for me. In all instances, I heard back from him same day, and from an Erie adjuster within just a few hours. My claims were all paid within a few days. No hassles what-so-ever. The way it should be!
