I came to this place 3x times for a fill. The first time they charge me $55 for a fill and I got gel polish. The 2nd time they charge me $62, I got a fill with gel polish with blue french tip (5) extra for french no big deal. I end up paying $67 because I left a $5 tip. The 3rd time I came they charged me $75 for a fill!! Originally once I sat down I said how much would it be for a fill if I were to get french tip using gel polish? The guy said $75. I asked how much would it be if I wanted to get gel polish no french he said $80. I asked why is it $80 when originally you said it would be $75 if I got French tip which is half a nail being polished? He said well because you getting the whole nail polished so its $5 extra and I was like how was it $5 extra when you should be charging me $5 extra for french tip, his reply was because you have long nails & a bottle of nail polish cost me $24 and I have to use a whole bottle to polish your nails so if you want me to polish the whole now its going to be $5 extra and then the next time you come in if you wait a month later its going to be $100 for a fill. I said how much is it for gel polish in general? He was like I dont know somewhere between $25 and up depending on how long your nails are and I said most places charge $15 for gel polish he was like no we charge $25 depending on how long your nails are... why am I paying $75 for a fill???? If thats the case I might as well take my nails off and get a new set for half the price their prices are inconsistent and they charge you whatever!! Stay away!! I still left a $5 tip!! So I paid $80

Its always a very relaxing experience. Very nice staff. It only takes 45 minutes for a fill in and 45 minutes for pedicure. I just lay back and enjoy the massage chairs, the foot and leg massage and then the fill in. My special time to unwind and be pampered. *

I always have a great experience here. They do a great job, and are friendly, kind, professional and clean. I started coming here because whenever I would see someone whos acrylics looked really good, I would compliment them and ask them where they got them done,and it was always MODERN NAILS!*** Update, Timmy and another very young man are very good at all they do, and they are always very kind. The other people I have had do my nails were not very good, and it seems like if you tell them what you want they get upset with you, excuse me?.... Im the customer I should be able to request how I want my nails done without them getting mad. The last time I went in 2 of them were very rude to me, so I stopped going there. I now go to Top nails, and boy what a difference. The salon is so clean and professional with really nice quality supplies. They arent as fast as Timmy, but they are very thorough and professional.

I actually been going here since I moved to Monroe and won’t go nowhere else!! I see people complaining about the wait and “they seem like there rushing”This shop literally stay busy from open to close and they are not machines. They do get tired, hungry and ready to go home like everyone does after a long day at work. And they deal with rude people everyday, so excuse them for being human!! They do very good work and very nice!! And I love their prices!!! I will continue to go to them!!

Love my nails, think they can go down on the prices though. i asked for coffin shaped and the price went up 15 dollars.

Overall, it was a good experience. My nails look really nice and I am happy with them. There was a little spot of polish on the side of 2 of my fingers, but it was very little and rubbed right off. One thing I think is important to note is they do not take credit cards. I was a bit thrown off by that because I had read somewhere else that they accepted cards.

This place was absolutely horrible. I would give zero stars if I could. My mother came for her birthday and they look so horrible it looks like one of her three year old nephews could have done it she didn’t have time to stay and have them take it off or She definitely would have they were so ugly she had to take them off at home we have pictures and I will be telling everyone I know not to go here for their nails y’all didn’t even cut her cuticles or oil them or anything y’all did absolutely nothing 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 She asked for coffin shaped nails and she got square shape nails and her toe nail they looked horrible period looked like their was 13 layers on them they were clumpy .😡👎🏽 I will be calling tomorrow for her because that was a waste of my money.

Save yourself the disappointment and go to Modern Nails! They were pleasant and paid attention to detail. This time we walked out with beautiful nails! ❤️ We will be coming back for our next fill! This was the absolute worst place i have ever been to get my nails done. i didn’t get the shape i wanted and not only that but the guy doing my nails made me get up in the middle of him painting my nails to pay him. just saying i do not recommend coming here to get your nails done. i have never been more disgusted with my nails, i literally just got them done yesterday and already want them off. you can tell they wanted to get done fast and that caused a sloppy job, they rip people off and the sloppy work they do is way too expensive. i don’t think i’ll be going to modern nails again.

Went in here to get my nails done and they were so rude, they rush to get nails done just so they can get more money and still cant do the job right. Dont know anything about customer service and have a really rude attitude way of communicating. I canceled the rest of my services that I was going to do and walked out. Been going for 10 plus years place is great wont switch for nothing

I have been to this place twice now today was a second chance because my friend always really likes going there. The person who did my toes and nails rushed threw everything skipped a couple things that normally get done during pedicures and I left with polish on the skin around my toes and on my nails. I will not be returning. I dont pamper myself very often and Im very disappointed.

I have been here once before and the customer service was ok; however, yesterday it was horrible. The woman who did my nails was extremely rude and was rough. I usually never complain, but when I would ask her to fix something she would give me a dirty look, give a huge sigh, and would start talking in another language...which I kept getting the vibe it was about me, because the other woman kept looking at me. I left with nails uneven, and nail polish not even close to my cuticle.Nail salon is also pretty dirty as well. Save your money and go elsewhere.

I usually dont complain and have been here several times but wont go back after my last experience. The whole time the lady was rushing. She only spent 10 minutes at most on my pedicure. The items looked dirty and I noticed they refuse their rubber gloves instead of throwing them away after each use which is completely unsanitary. After my very short pedicure she filed my nails while I was uncomfortably sitting in the pedi chair still (like I said, very rushed). The shop was dirty. I understand its a busy salon and that happens, but it looked like things havent been wiped down in a very long time. I left very unsatisfied. Would not recommend!

I would do negative stars if possible. I went in last Saturday asking for black flat finish polish on my nails with a small gem on each ring finger....what I came out with was a black polish with less shine than typical polish, the gems fell off the same day!!!! I worked all week so went in on Friday to let them know and the request polish change free of charge (it was their mistake). I was told he would go over the polish to fix the finish and the PEELING polish after only 6 days, and replace the gems. I declined that service stating I wanted the polish removed and redone not “fixed”. I was told that it is typically $17 but he would charge me $15. Obviously I will take my business elsewhere from now on!!!! Horrible customer service!!!

I was not very satisfied with my nails today. The lady was in a rush and got so mad when I asked her to fix something & began to speak in a different language. Also, my nails are sensitive because they were so rough. I left with uneven nails and a bad mood. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Every time i go there the sign says fill ins $15 i never leave for under $35 an today the lady wanted me to pay a $3 atm fee( that is conveniently in the salan now ) to give her a tip in cash instead of on the card slip smh not going back
