My technician, Jason, was excellent. He called prior to my appointment window of 2-4, and arrived prior to 2pm. Jason was friendly, professional, extremely timely, worked the entire time he was in my home and never indicated by his actions that he had anything else to do but to resolve my problem. His diagnostic ability was most impressive and even though my unit is quite old, he did not ever push me toward a system replacement now. So many company’s first words especially on an older unit, are replacement needed without even trying to diagnose if there is a fix that may can be considered. I appreciate this approach. Jason did share with me the positives of purchasing through Southern Air and for having a maintenance agreement with them. He also told me about some of the possible decisions and costs on older units that may well be in my future. The major benefit is that when I have a problem, Southern Air will be there, day or night. That also is important to me.One of the things I especially like with Southern Air is their responsiveness to the customer. I actually spoke with a person when I called and did not have to leave a message for a call back. I heard from the actual technician when they were headed to my home. Then Southern Air sent me a text message with a picture of the technician telling me he was on his way and a way to track him getting to my house. In this sometimes uncertain environment this is certainly a valuable safety precaution!! Jason is an excellent representative of Southern Air and I hope Southern Air knows that he is a keeper. I look forward to making the Southern Air team my first call for my AC and heating needs.

Southern Hearing & Air installed out ac and furnace yesterday. The two man team was quick, efficient and got the old, broken equipment out and the new equipment put in within a day. They brought everything up to code and tried to make lines running out the house neat and orderly. They took great care to let me know what they were doing and to ask permission for some of the work. The warranty is great and they use Trane products which is what we were originally looking for. They arent the cheapest company, but they arent the most expensive either. James came out for the quote and was thorough. I appreciate the time he took to explain everything. He seemed knowledgeable and had an easy going vibe. He made me feel comfortable with the decision to drop 20k on two new systems. I would recommend Southern Air. They have no issue getting equipment or installing it with care and professionalism.

Alan was professional and prompt. He showed up masked up and had booties so as to not track in any dirt. Service was quick. Alan also advised that we would need a new unit in the future due to phase out of old refrigerant which I was already aware of.

Jason was great. My a/c went out on a Sat night & was 87 degrees inside Sunday morning. I called Southern Air around 9am because their add stated 24/7 service. Jason showed up within 2 hours & replaced the part & had my unit blowing cold air again within 30 minutes! Will definitely use again!

Today, Tim inspected and serviced my air conditioning system. He was extremely professional and very friendly. He answered all my questions with no hesitancy. He showed me what was wrong with my system and backed it up with pictures and data. He recommended a new system, but did not pressure me at all. There is no doubt in my mind that when I make the decision to purchase a new air-conditioning system, I will call Tim at Southern Air.

Southern Air was called out to a rented condo on a Sunday. They assessed the situation and made the necessary repair; they were on site for 40 minutes. There was a total charge of $366 for changing a $15 capacitor on a residential a/c unit. The bill included an undisputed $79 diagnostic charge and $287 for a $15 capacitor that costs $15 at the a/c supply house. In what world is it okay to charge an 1800% markup for a standard a/c part? I want everyone to be aware of their standard business practices and hope yall find better results from other HVAC contractors. Please find out the cost of your parts before you have them do work for you. Actual bill attached for your reviewAfter reading the company response to my 2-star rating, I am changing my rating to a 1-star. I had already spoken to 3 company representatives, including the manager before placing my review. They can clearly see the invoice that I posted if they want details of the event. Each of them stated that this is their normal operating procedure and standardized pricing. Apparently they see nothing wrong with charging an 1800% markup so there is really nothing to discuss with them. I just want to make everyone aware that parts just should not bear that kind of markup. I guess this is whats meant when they say buyer beware.

I was stunned at the responsiveness of Southern Air!!! We had a full blown emergency with our hvac system over a weekend. They came out immediately for initial service. We ended up having them replace our entire AC unit. Their installers completed their work in 3-4 hours and couldn’t have been more respectful to our family. I’m finding it hard to imagine why anyone wouldn’t use Southern Air.Kudos to them for being the BEST!!!

We had to get southern air to come to our house Friday afternoon and they came pretty quickly. Sadly we had to get a whole new unit, but they came and installed a unit Monday morning and now my house is cool again! Also the technicians were very nice and professional!

I had an emergency. AC stopped working. They were at my house super quick. About a ten minute repair and we were nice and cool again. Ty for being so quick.

Air-conditioning quit late in the day. Called Southern Air and requested service after normal hours. Mike came out and I told him what I thought was wrong and he checked that and confirmed the problem. He was quickly able to repair the air conditioning. I have used Shreveport - Southern Air Heating & Cooling twice this year. Once for AC problems - I called & they came out the next day & the air was up and running cold again! Then they came out the next day to run a service. I signed up for a service agreement with them & Im so thankful that I did because today my kitchen sink backed up and I called, someone was able to come out within 30 min & within an hour if was fixed! I’m so thankful I found this company! 10 out of 10 recommend!!

1st appointment right on time, Billy and I walked around my home and he explained everything I need to know about getting a new system from start to finish, he advised me on some additional vents I needed and the size of unit I needed to cool my home the correct way and what to expect when the installers come. 2nd appointment was right on time and the installers did a great job and I was impressed how efficient they were and there was no guess work they knew exactly what they were doing. I definitely recommend this company and my new system is really cooling my home like it should, definitely a huge difference going from a 3 ton to a 5 ton unit.

Called Southern Air to access condition of 11 year old heating / cooling unit. Tech was here the same afternoon and made checks on the system. Several deficiencies were noted. My decision was to replace AC and heating unit. Install crew arrived the next morning, removed and installed new system. Install team was very professional and knowledgeable. My technician Tommy, was scheduled to perform a tune up of our home’s AC. Tommy performed a detailed inspection of our AC system and made the proper adjustments to optimize the systems efficiency. He also was quite helpful by answering all my questions and concerns as well as offer solution options.

The technician was scheduled to arrive between 8 - 8:30 am, but they had to push it back a few hours. This was not a problem for me. When they arrived they apologized again and got right to work. They were very professional and pleasant. When the unit was installed the technician explained what we needed to know.

I called these people out to look at my ac leak and he didn’t even look at it. All he did was tell me to call a plumber because it would be better for them to unclog the pipe. He then proceeds to tell me that he still meeds a diagnostic fee even though he didn’t do ANYTHING nor attempt to. A waste of time and money. I would not recommend them to anyone.
