I booked on Priceline and everything was very seamless and easy. Pickup was quick and efficient. My only problem is that on Priceline it said I would have to pay $52 at pickup and because I am under 25 I had to pay $180. I don’t have a problem with paying the fee, but I definitely think it should be made apparent at the time of booking and not a surprise when you get there. The car was super clean and nice. I’m overall happy, just wish I would’ve known that I would be paying $335 instead of $250.

Car humming like crazy on highway so I want to swap it out but I wanted to call first to ensure a vehicle was available. The Only # available is 866# listed on agreement, internet shows same # for rental location. After a 20 minute wait the Philippines call center told me to call back and press 9, 9 was repeat options! Glad I was not broken down on the side of the road with the 866 # as my only option. Guess I am driving to airport now with the hope they have a car.

Worst experience with a car rental agency. My husband and I had reservation for when we landed at airport. Guy working front desk wouldn’t give us our rental because my husband did not know his license expired 4 days ago on his birthday. (His mind has been on other things with his mother and brother recently passing). I have a Drivers license not expired and had also used my credit card when making the reservation but he still wouldn’t let us have our rental said he had to give it to someone else. Now we’re here with a 6 month old baby not having transportation because they are out of rentals. We had to get a Uber where we’re going but with it being a rural area we don’t have way back to airport. Had no way get around once we got where we’re staying. My credit card was still charged from when I initially made reservation and whoever received vehicle was also charged for rental.

When we arrived at the Hertz counter [which serves Dollar & Thrifty], we were given a white Chevy Malibu [full-size] that wreaked of marijuana and cigarettes.We re-entered the terminal and spoke to the front desk agent [who wasn’t wearing a state-mandated mask]. He said they had to drive a full-size from an offsite lot because they had none available, and it would be “a few minutes.” We waited for nearly 30 minutes and didn’t hear anything. After talking to the agent again, he then claimed that there was only one other person working and had no idea how long it would really be.We ended up taking the Malibu, as they were unable to help us. He said that he could leave a note about the smoky smell in our profile but couldn’t print it. This left us nervous about being billed for something that we didn’t do. The agent did not provide an upgrade or discount — as a matter of fact, not even an apology. The car had Hertz’s “gold standard clean seal” on the driver’s door, but it hadn’t been cleaned prior to our pickup. It hadn’t been disinfected recently, as the center console and dash were filthy. I have photos available upon request.I was also disappointed by the lack of preventive maintenance with the vehicle. This vehicle was supposed to receive service at about 19,290 miles, but it didn’t, according to the sticker on the windshield and we received the vehicle with over 31,000 miles.On January 4, after trying to clean the car multiple times with fabric deodorizer, we contacted Hertz in Foley, AL, to exchange the vehicle. Though the agent was a little bit friendlier than in Mobile and confirmed that there was a note in the system about the odor, he said they had zero cars and would not do an exchange. After returning the car, we also filled out a survey emailed to us, but no one has responded.The issues that we experienced here would prevent me from choosing this company again. I had an emergency situation. My car broke down i was not from the area. From the time I placed the call to Dollar rent a car i was treated with respect. The vehicle was very clean low price and got me where I needed to be. Customer Service Representative was professional

I will avoid next time, i rented a minivan for two days, i had some question regarding some charge and there is no way i can find where to call.Also, because of Covid-19 they removed the toll from Pensacola Beach which is becoming s pay b plate toll, i went through it one time for a 1.00$ to pay normally, instead of sending me the invoice, they want me to pay, through there collection agency the 1.00$ plus 9.99$ administrative fee, they avoid to give me the ref of the invoice so i can pay my self...what a professional crooks.the proof that this all about screwing people, is that they say if no action they will charge my registered credit card with the 10.99$, why didnt charge the 1.00$ before sending file to your collection agency.

Used Chase credit card points to cover some of the rental and the rest was insurance + age surcharge since I am not 25. The lady at the desk was super nice and informative as this was my first time renting a car and I told her I was nervous given some of the reviews. Dont discount this place. It was smooth and really easy to take care of. Car was clean and with a full tank of gas! Drop off before desk hours was seemless. Would definitely rent from them again!

The rental experience was great from the reservation over the phone to the front counter! The staff was very nice. The car was clean and in a full tank of gas. The return was quick and easy and they do not hold a large amount for the deposit which I love I dont really like hertz because I had problems in the past. However I know this is a sister company to hertz but the experience is 100% better! Staff is 100% more generous and understanding!

Reserved & Picked up with no problems. I did however have to pay an additional $25 per day age restriction fee (birthday is next month). I would have reserved car for longer dates if it wasnt for the age fee.Car was a 2016 Sonata but already seemed to not run correctly, acted as it didnt want to go from time to time. I wont be purchasing a Sonata!Staff was excellent!!!

Absolutely horrible. The customer service is awful. They give you a price online, however when you actually go to pay in person. They will slap about $300 worth of extra fees on you. They dont disclose any of this on their website. They dont take checks or cash. And if you try to pick up the car within 24 hours of your reservation they will not take a debit card. Which again, is not disclosed when you make your reservation. Their customer service number also does not work.

Not very happy with the fact that the car I was given was more than I was quoted online, and it was not full at pick up. It was only 3/4 full. Now I get to pay for someone else’s gas! Tried to call dollar and got disconnected after it taking forever to try and talk to a person. I guess now I’d rather pay the extra money for enterprise!

I will NEVER ever rent from them again!!! I got married so my last name on my driver’s license did not match my credit card last name. I tried to provide proof of my maiden name and pull up my marriage certificate online! They still said I could not rent because my last names didnt match. I couldn’t use another card because that was the only card I had and they pratically punished me for getting married and today is Dec. 22, 2017 and I was traveling to Houston to see my babies for Christmas. The lady at the counter was very rude and loud. I even ask to speak to the manager he wouldn’t come to the desk he only spoke with me over the phone. I’m devastated!!!!

This place is rip-off . My email confirmed reservation for $245; went to pick up the car and they said the reservation was $256. Showed him the email reservation and he made a bs excuse saying that its 12.5% tax vice 10%. They dont even know how to do math. Dont waste your time with these crooks!!

I booked online for a rental and called the 1800 # listed on the website to verify there was a car available when I arrived @ the airport. Upon arriving, no car was available and I was turned away. I was told all the managers were off and could not update the website/car status until Monday. Very Inconvenient! And customer service is poor. Disappointed!

This location is a consumer rip off. On a family vacation we were delayed in Atlanta for weather and stayed overnight in Atlanta. Upon arrival the next morning the manager says he cancelled all reservations from the previous day and offers a vehicle at 3.5 times the rate I had paid for through Orbitz. Do not use this facility. Reported to the department of commerce for unfair business practices at the Mobile Alabama airport. Also unwilling to discuss any compensation. There is a reason the airport is usually empty.

Absolutely awful customer service at the Mobile AL airport and just as bad service on the phone. I was give 4 different numbers to call just to find out what my total would be when I picked up my car. Awful, awful, awful company. I would highly discourage anyone from renting from this company.

Did not honor a a free upgrade for military and federal employees that was emailed to me with my orders because it was not printed. The coupon stated to present ID but did not stated a physical copy was required.

Ripped me off my money paid online for rental and tried to pick up car and they wont give me my money back and I dont have the car.. said I needed a credit card but let me pay with debit card.. shouldnt let anyone use debit card if you require a credit card.. just scammed me out of $118.99
