I love living here!! Its a bit pricey but the amenities are incredible and it is such a relaxing environment. The office staff has always been extremely responsive if I have a question or need anything. I have personally had no issues with my apartment.. I wish the windows werent so thin because they dont block sound very well but I never hear my neighbors on either side of. me. The apartment layout is great and there are lots of closets/storage which I like. The spa is great after a long day, and the saltwater pool is super nice as well. The coffee machine is a great perk too. The office also regularly has events/giveaways which are fun!! I was reading through the other 1-2 star reviews and I am very surprised, they might live in a different building but my experience could not have been more different. I almost didnt move here because of a few reviews from a year or two ago, Im glad I didnt listen to them because it has been nothing but a great experience!

I am relocating and considered staying in this complex when I do. However, I have called for information twice, in an effort to be prepared and get the ball rolling. Both times I called, the staff members Emily and Lauren were both extremely rude. They seem to have no interest in filling vacancies. I genuinely felt like they thought talking to me was a waste of their time!!Needless to say, I will NOT be moving to this complex. If this is how they treat future residents, I cant imagine how they treat the current ones.

The Highland @ Springhill is absolutely GORGEOUS! The amenities are amazing. I feel like I am on vacation at a 5 star resort. I can not say enough good things about it.The staff is just as amazing as the amenities are! They always greet with a smile and make me feel comfortable. They are always quick to take care of any concerns I have and they treat me like a VIP every single time I need their help. They are First class in every thing they do. I appreciate the way they take care of me and any issue I need help with. Also, the maintenance guys are so quick to answer maintenance request. Not only do the come to fix a problem the same day but they have actually answered my maintenance request within the hour, if not minutes, of my entering the request.Just to be clear, there is no other apartment I would even consider living, with such excellent service and beautiful place as The Highland at Springhill.Thank you all for making this place such a Joy to make my home. I am so thankful for the staff who make that happen every day. 😃

I could not pick a better place to live in Mobile. I love coming home, it is so beautiful and my neighbors are so friendly. I can not say enough about the amazing staff, they definitely go above and beyond to make us feel good, safe and taken care of. On some Fridays we have something fun or yummy to look forward to, from the free little plant on Earth Day to Ice cream, Charcutier and Wine or the Food Trucks during Covid. It is very dog friendly for those of you who have fur babies, we have a dog wash and dog park. The workout room and spa are amazing and those who love to be by the pool, it is huge. LOVE LOVE LOVE it here.

Highland at Springhill has been a wonderful place for my family. It is very attractive and well-maintained with great amenities. The management and maintenance teams are both very responsive--we have had few problems and those were resolved very quickly and completely. I would recommend this complex to anyone looking for a pleasant, stress-free living environment.

Beautiful and lovely, until you have an issue and need to interact with their staff. This is correspondence I received from the property manager (see image attached). The lack of customer service at a complex where you pay a premium is very unfortunate.

Where do I start...Ms. Emily is Simply Amazing! I called to see if they had a furnished 2 or 3 bedroom apartment ASAP due to my home having severe damage because of the hurricane. My family and I had to move ASAP...Ms. Emily gave me some information on their cooperate housing. I heard the deepest concern in her voice as she asked me some questions. Ms. Emily called me not once, but 3 time to check on me and my family. Unfortunately, my insurance temporary housing department could not place my family at this location because they did not have the right accommodations for the timeframe that we needed. But this did not stop Ms. Emily, she called me again to check to see if my family and I were settled at a location. I told her YES and that I truly appreciate all her assistance and concern in this difficult time. She is an Amazing Lady that I never met personally, but in her Customer Service and Sincere concern for my families wellbeing...I thank you. I just want her cooperate office and other renters to know what a jewel Ms. Emily truly is. Continue to operate in excellence and you will always have greatness....Kind Regards Denise HW

After moving in, I had multiple things that needed to be fixed. Handles falling off the laundry door and not shutting properly, bathroom toilet paper handle falling off, door lock had to be replaced the first few months of living there. I also had to get my AC fixed twice. If you like hot baths, good luck. You can maybe get a tub to fill half way at a hot temperature, otherwise it’s just lukewarm. You could tell it looked nice, but was cheaply done as nothing lasted. While living there, COVID-19 happened. A big perk to the highlands were the amenities, like the pool/grill/club house area. However, they restricted these areas and for over a month you weren’t allowed to use any of it, but yet, you still payed for it and were never offered anything for the inconvenience other than emails with more rules. As a nurse on the frontlines, I really looked forward to my off days relaxing but couldn’t even use the facilities I paid for.Lastly, when moving out there were a lot of hidden fees. You basically pay a moving fee instead of a deposit when moving in, meaning you give them $500 with no chance or getting it back. On top of that, once you move out they will charge you even more money for whatever changes they want to make. They were also very difficult to deal with regarding it. I just paid it because I was tired of arguing and wanted to be done with the place. Not to mention, my neighbors had complaint of their apartment constantly being “damp” which ruined a lot of their clothes and caused mold to grow on some of their things. Oh, and rent went up. It’s way overpriced.

Living at Highland at Springhill (HaSh) has been the best apartment experience I have had yet. I am a penny pincher in every area of my life and choosing to live here doesnt change that and Im going to try to get you to understand why. Any product, company, or person who strives to provide luxury does so by going above and beyond expectations and basic needs to provide more than what is necessary or promised. In exchange they are paid more for what they do and the value they provide, and HaSh is no different: this is a luxury-providing complex so it is pricy to live here. I am a medical student so my values may be different from yours but there are many other medical students and physicians-in-training that live here, as well as other professionals both in the healthcare field and in other arenas. Living here has allowed me to put forth as much energy as I am capable of into my training and studies. The price is worth it to me because this is a safe community. I can go for runs around the area any time of day or night and not be worried about crime that is stereotypically linked with big cities. The complex is gated and monitored well, so usually you will only find residents, employees, guests, and visitors here. The gates have always worked in the time I have been here (except if they are working on them or something temporarily). The maintenance staff here is unlike anything I have ever seen. If you have a problem, they come in and solve it almost instantly. One time my air conditioning had a hiccup late one Friday afternoon and they came and fixed it that same afternoon. The maintenance guys seem to just get it when it comes to keeping this place up and running and that is exactly what they do. You may never appreciate the value of a team like that until you finally have one and they have helped solve problem after problem. The office staff are commendable too. Each one of them has a great attitude and know their stuff. They know how this place works and they help you and make your life easy when it comes to explaining how the lease works or giving tours or explaining how to use the amenities (which work, by the way). Theyre always very kind and know who I am which is nice because this is a big place so I appreciate it. Sleazy real-estate tactics and hidden underhand fees? Not here. One of the great things about the people here is the no-hassle marketing approach, which is one of the reasons why I like it so much. Nobody is trying to upsell you and they wont charge you behind your back. Trash pickup and cleaning services are amazing. This place is spotless and did I mention that the amenities work? The trash being picked up every night is not an easy job and the guys Ive seen doing it are doing us all a real favor and that is not unnoticed. I dont have a dog but the people who do seem to love it. Its a great place for dogs because of the park, and like I said earlier, this area is great so you can walk them outside the complex and have a great time. Now to the meat and potatoes of this, why I think living here as a student is worth the upfront costs: quiet and safe in Mobile (which shouldnt be taken for granted as there are loud and busy places in this city), the gym and sauna/spa amenities rivals the quality of a membership at the YMCA or a Planet Fitness so you can save money by working out here, there is a coffee machine with Starbucks coffee in the office available 24/7 so you save money on coffee if you are a drinker, the business center has a printer so you save on printing expenses, you do not need to pay for very fast internet as it is included, and maintenance takes care of virtually any problem you could imagine in your apartment so you save money on repairs and upkeep. I have not been charged for a maintenance request yet, but I am not sure on their policy of charging for lofty requests. An additional reason that this place is great is it is located equidistant from the USA University Hospital and the USA College of Medicine, so my commute time to either is minimized. In all, fantastic place.

My wife and I have lived in these apartments for nearly two years and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The staff is the best I have seen in any of the four apartment complexes I have lived in. They are always very happy to help with any concerns, and the maintenance crew acts very quickly on all discrepancies.

Look somewhere else before moving here. The common area is beautiful and the amenities are great but this place is a huge rip off. The apartment complex is poorly built and it is quite obvious it was made to be as cheaply constructed as possible. You can hear every move your neighbor makes. The office blasts residents with emails about pool/community rules constantly, but wont tend to other issues brought up by long time residents (i.e., screaming children in the hallways every single day). They are so snooty as well. However, maintenance is fabulous.

Renters beware. This place looks good from the outside but it is junk from the inside. Been here for a couple of months and noticing things that are poorly built. Even some neighbors are complaining of things breaking constantly. Seems like the construction company did such a very poor job.

My family and I have been here about 6 weeks, and we have loved every minute of it. Yes, it sounds a little pricey, but the price is right in line with other luxury apartments in the area. The amenities are better than any of the other complexes and are well maintained. The ladies downstairs really make it feel like a home. Everyone has been super helpful and very friendly. We love the layout of the apartment. We have been downsizing and I think we have found the perfect layout for my family of 3. We all come in, including my daughters friends, and have that ahhhhhh, Im home feeling. We look forward to staying here a long time. We do not hear any noise from our neighbors, and so far, no one has complained about noise from us.I have lived in many apartments in the area and even in the pricey ones I have had to deal with drug dealers outside my daughters window and the SWAT team showing up at the neighboring building. This has not been a problem here, so I dont mind that they are selective. The parking lot is about the same as any other, close to the buildings so the residents are not having to walk great distances.I recommend checking it out before believing the bad reviews!

Best place to live in Mobile, hands down! I’ve been here almost a year and have had 0 problems. The front office ladies are super helpful and moving in was a breeze. Lauren & Emily have been the best. The apartments are very modern and up to date. Affordable for everything this place has to offer- pool / gym/ spa area. I highly recommend Highland at SpringHill.

Very very overpriced and overated. Greedy owners and staff. Leasing staff and manager are totally inflexible- basically its their way or the highway. Most of the staff are all the people who cant get a job a Walmart or McDonalds so they come here and make things difficult for potential leasers. They hit you with an upcharge for everything. They refuse to do shorter term leases -so if you get in here and dont like it YOURE stuck like a prisoner!! You basically have to be earning at least $3500 per month after taxes to even afford it. Who the hell in this hick town makes that kind of money? they act as if potential renters should consider it a privilege just to walk in the darn door. Hastily constructed and poorly designed and implimented. Built to stack dumb tenants in 4 decker buildings like cordwood- so as to max out the amount the bank will lend the developers. Awful layout- most of the rooms are within arms reach of the parking lot- you basically have cars pulling RIGHT UP TO YOUR BEDROOM WINDOW. the back building has huge ugly HIGH VOLTAGE power lines DANGLING right in front of your patio- so close you can reach out and (God forbid) touch them. Moreover note theres a HUGE TREE TOP LEVEL low swung MICROWAVE cell tower Caddy corner at Old shell and I-65 that is basically COOKING the entire complex with high dose of microwave radiation. No wonder I get a low level head ache every day here. BUYER BEWARE WITH THIS RIP OFF JOINT!!! Trust me.
