We had another great day with Tony. He is so much fun to fish with The time just flies by. Tony is such an expert he will put you on fish and talk you through how to catch them. He is still the best angling guide I have been with and I cant wait to return next year. Thank you again Tony.

Tony, is an awesome guide. He put us on the fish immediately, we caught trout all day until we were tired. He was a lot of fun and very knowledgeable about the river and town. I will definitely use Tony next time I return.

Called Tony for 3 days fishing in Missoula. We fished in early August. It was me and my two boys, ages 13 and 14. We are from Florida with zero experience fly fishing for trout. Our first time to visit Montana. Tony set us up with Zack Scott, Scott Stanko and Lane Armstrong as our guides. This was a wonderful trip. These guides were top notch...patient, knowledgeable, hard working and enthusiastic throughout the three full days of float fishing. We were in the fish constantly each day with several nice fish per day. They were especially good with my kids and when I had a day on a raft just me and my guide, he easily switched to all business and worked hard to keep me on the fish and coach me on proper technique with encouragement throughout the day. Concerning Tony, though we did not fish with him, he was quick to respond during the planning with accurate and helpful information...super easy booking through him. I would highly recommend Montana Trout Outfitters.

I called Tony about getting a guided trip for a bachelor party set up at the start of April. We had 8 guys and Tony could not have made this part of our trip more easy or enjoyable. There were a few of us who wanted to get serious and the rest wanted to have a good time since they had never gone fly fishing before. They split us apart on the rivers but everybody had a great time and we were all able to get into some fish. I have been on numerous guided trips and this was by far my favorite experience. Our guides had phenomenal knowledge and great attitudes and genuinely wanted to ensure that we were going to enjoy our experience and learn a TON. Also... these were certainly unfavorable conditions since it was warm and there was a lot of recent snow melt raising the water levels but these guys were able to adjust with ease and make sure we were all successful. If you have never been fly fishing I would highly recommend this outfit. If you’re an experienced angler I would still highly recommend this outfit. They know their rivers like the back of their hand and knew every single little hole that would be holding catchable opportunities. If I could figure out how to post a photo I would show you all the most beautiful bow that I have ever caught.Cheers to you guys and thank you for helping me put this together for my buddies

Tony Reinhardt of MTO is without question one of the absolute best guides I have ever fished with. He is knowledgeable, friendly, fun and encouraging, and his tips, instruction and ability to find fish is unequaled. Awesome 1/2 day on the river!!! Weather was terrible, raining/freezing cold/rising waters and our guid still put us on fish the hole trip. He was a great teacher, (I landed a nice trout 3 min on the river during “lesson time”) positive/uplifting and very attentive. I would highly recommend MTO! We had the trip of a lifetime with our Guide Scotty. When you pay for a guided float trip you get several things. 1) A worry-free float on a beautiful river with scenic mountain scapes and wildlife; 2) Expert local river guidance from someone who knows exactly what to put on the end of the line and where to put it; 3) An all-day lesson. So worth it to me. My son was getting more interested in fly fishing and he came away with a years worth of skill improvement just from the day with Scotty. He provided patient, helpful advice all with a great sense of humor. Ive been fly fishing for years and I can honestly say I learned a ton too. I cant recommend Scotty and this experience enough. Well do it again soon!

The absolute perfect Father’s Day gift. We had one experienced fisher, one complete novice (me) and one person just enjoying the float and Scott catered to everyone perfectly. Having never been fly fishing before, feeling confident with Scott’s direction made everything seem easy and sure enough I caught fish after fish.If the fishing knowledge and guidance wasn’t enough, watching the skill and ease he had navigating down the river was out of this world impressive. My dad has fished with Tony for years and finally brought the rest of the family along last year. I had very little experience fly fishing before going, but Tony was a great teacher and had me and my brother catching fish very quickly. Incredibly awesome and memorable experience! This was my first time fly fishing and I went with my dad (who does fly fish). It was his birthday present to go out and this trip did not disappoint.Scott Stanko was our guide and we went down to the Bitterroot. Honestly, we couldnt have asked for a better guide! He was able to help coach me, the novice, while still giving tips and advice to my dad who is a veteran fisherman. We were both successful in catching a good amount of fish throughout the day and I was surprised that I was able to catch as much as I did on my first go around! My success was totally a tribute to Scott who was incredibly patient and knowledgeable. He knew how to work with me and was able to row/place me in incredible spots that he knew about. My dad commented after how much he learned even being in the game for a long time. Needless to say, we were both really happy with our trip.If youre thinking about a guided tour, call these guys up! The scheduling/booking was smooth and easy. I had a small window of availability and they did everything they could to make it work. Our guide, Scott, was easy to be around, sociable, encouraging, friendly, and brilliant at doing his work! Highly recommend all around and will definitely come back for more!

In my opinion, Tony Reinhardts the top guide in the Missoula area. Ive floated many times with him over the years and have never been disappointed. His even manner in the boat and his expertise in putting you on fish, make floating with him both a learning experience and a pleasure. Tonys a good guy all around and a sure bet when choosing a guide.

My dad and I first fished with Tony 5 years ago and we have been back to fish with him at least once a year every year since. We have absolutely no need to look further for our Montana fly fishing guide of choice. He is a great teacher, knowledgeable guide and exceptional person. A true professional, he has tremendous attention to detail and is very organized; traits that set you up to max out your time on the water. Once in the boat, he knows the rivers very well and he works tirelessly to put you on the fish. As East Coast residents, it takes a lot of effort to get to Missoula, but every trip has been well worth it. I have recommended Tony and Montana Trout Outfitters to many people (across all fly fishing skill levels) and continue to do so without hesitation.

I have had the privilege of fishing with Tony over the last 16 or so years. I value my time I spend away from my home waters to visit new water as none of us get as much of it as we would like. I wouldnt choose to spend that time with any other guide than Tony in an area that has many excellent top notch guides. He knows how to tailor the experience to the individual angler considering their skill set, experience and pays attention to the wants of the angler. You will catch more than your fair share of fish, he will make you a better angler for wherever you call home and the day will go by far to fast. I really dont have enough space here to describe the memories and experiences that Ive had in Tonys boat and I look forward to the next one more than the last. Book a day with Tony and his staff but I warn you will do it again and again.

When reviewing Tony Reihardt I dont know where to beging. I have known and fished with him for the last 15 years. Ive had the pleasure of watching him grow into, in my opinion, the finest trout guide anywhere. River, stream, lake, whatever Tony makes the experience memorable.
