5 stars for Tyler, 3 for everyone else. I accidentally booked my reservation for 4 hours after I landed. The day shift girl took my info and promised to call when a car was ready. That never happened, the next shift was never told about my situation. But when I went to the counter to get the car at the time I ordered, I received excellent customer service from Tyler. He seemed to really care that I was tired and hungry, and helped me get on my way within minutes.

The car was an upgraded model from the one I reserved. So that was nice. That being said the AC didnt function properly. It only blew cold air when the outside temps were below 75 or so. When the heat of the day started it was useless.

We paid 515.99 when we rented the car. We took good care of it. You offered to send an e-receipt. When we received it, it was for 108.73. What a rip-off! I understand why you did not give us a receipt at the time we returned the car. Helen Hutchinson, 1910 W F Ave., Kalamazoo, MI 49009

Overall great, but the car from the airport was not safe to drive and had to exchange it out on the trip. Lost half a day of vacation.

The advertised price online was incorrect. I was expecting to spend $10 per day and it ended up being over $300 for 7 days. I had a low tire and brought it in and the counter person (a gentleman) was extremely nice, but the female employee who had to service the vehicle acted put out by it. I needed a car for two weeks, and I ended up trading in after a week and going with someone else. Pretty disappointed, except for the gentleman at the counter. He was extremely helpful.

After changing my rental agreement, I continued to get different rates for my rental (from sales associates and when I called customer service a few days after checking out the car). On top of the VASTLY different charges on my 31 vs 35 day rental, no one was able to provide a receipt for my payment. I left my email and phone number and waited in person and have been charged already without any indication of where the extra charges are coming from. There has been very little cohesion in pricing and communication has been very poor among employees and with me.

Car was nice, price was right, no reason not to rent from Budget.

I rented a car and got a great deal on the price. However no one pointed out the fine print of the contract that stated I only had 200 miles before fees would be enforced. When I returned the fees were more than twice what I paid for the vehicle. I strongly recommend to anyone to avoid this location. Or to verify any fine print contract language before renting from here.

Service and communication is great, counter staff always attempts to upgrade and compete with the others. the only option that would be nice is more aggressive tires and to rent chains. I bought a set of chains since weather was iffy and I had to drive thru the lost trail pass on 93 just to protect us and YOUR car when going up and down in snow and cold. we did not need the chains and your counter was nice enough to hold them until they could be picked up, that was very accommodating. I will say your large suvs and pickups are a little pricey!!

I was told when picking up the vehicle that Budget does things differently in Missoula. According to the counterperson, their rentals include gas and therefore it was unnecessary to refuel before returning the car because it was already paid for. I am aware of prepaying for gas as a package at the time of rental and I rarely use this other than when I know I will be tight for time when I return the vehicle. Otherwise, I have always rejected this option. This time I returned the vehicle with 1/2 tank of gas and was charged an additional  $35.66 and told that it was correct. I feel ripped off and wont be using Budget again in the future.

Our flight was 2 hours late, the budget attendant informed us she gave our car away because we didn’t call...because we were on a flight. We asked when the next car would be available, she said she had no idea. We could leave our number and they would call. We’ve NEVER had this happen before so we didn’t know the protocol. Actually felt really stranded flying into a strange airport, making a reservation and having the car given away. When asked how long again like 10 minute, an hour, all day? She responded with “Maybe!” She was incredibly RUDE! Told her we were on a plane and couldn’t call...she responded with “Well I know your on a plane! This is an airport!” The worst experience EVER

Was made to wait until after noon to get some special rate. This would have been fine except I was renting a car to drive to a meeting out of town and my timeline was pretty tight. Once I finally got to checked in and out to the vehicle, it wouldnt start. While they made me wait to check in for a half hour, they couldnt have checked to make sure the car even worked? I was so behind schedule by that point I had cancel and drive my own car. I wouldnt have wanted to take a car that wouldnt start anyway. I have to travel a lot for work and this was the first time I tried Budget, and it will be the last.

Outstanding service, clean new car, nice facility! The young woman who greeted us at Budget was a treasure. She was friendly and professional and speedily got our reservation completed after a long and tiring day of flying. There was an extremely difficult customer at the head of the line, who was rude to her and the women behind him. She handled the situation with humor and grace. The same employee checked us out upon our return, still smiling, friendly, and professional at the end of the day. We would highly recommend Budget in Missoula!

Horrible service. When the car was rented I was told when returning to park in any spot and drop off the key. The gas tank was filled. BUT when returning, they asked for a receipt for the gas, which I didn’t have, plus they charged an additional $50 (for a one day rental). They said we went over on our miles. But when renting, I wasn’t informed that there was a mileage cap. Then “Stephanie “ made the escuse that I wasn’t told because the girl who checked me out is new and 18 years old. It’s their job to inform their customers. I paid $136 for a one day rental that was supposed to be a total of $79. Moronic.

Fast, easy pick-up and drop-off. My rental was amazing - brand new car, got 40 miles to the gallon!

I prepaid for a GMC Acadia and during our first stop, we noticed a bulge in one of the front tires. When we had it look at by a tire technician, they advised that all the tires had very little tread on the tires and was gobsmacked that we were sent on a trip with a car with tires in such poor condition. So, bottom line, my son and I were sent off on a several thousand mile road trip as a early snow storm was coming in Montana will bald tires. Totally unacceptable! The company jeopardized the safety of my son and I in a automobile that was unsafe for travel. Three bald tires and the fourth with damage that would have separated and created a blowout without any notice. Negligent, dangerous, and wasted my time attempting to remedy this. Poor on some many levels.

Flight got in early, so picked up car early. They tacked on costs for that, but assured me if I brought car back early, they would be removed. They did not remove the additional cost, & charged me $73.03 extra on top of that, but no explanation why. I would not recommend Budget to anyone.

The Kia we drove was very clean and got really good gas mileage.

I filled the car up past full and they tried to charge me the fuel feet anyway . I prepaid 158.08 an drove 42 miles. I told them when I picked up the car that I might be picking bringing it back one day sooner and they said that was OK but then they charged me for it. Then later after I had driven the car 40 miles they charged me a $76 extra cleaning fee for vacuuming. That cleaning fee was because the lady at the counter got angry with me about the fuel charge.

Very helpful staff at the counter. I originally pre-paid for a large SUV, but when the prior customer didnt bring it back in time for me to get in, they gave me two cars instead. There was a little mix up with the pricing that they straightened out right away.

Very shady business practices at the Missoula location. They are a licensee/franchise so they dont reflect the policies of the Budget parent company. We were billed for prepaid gas and they conveniently charged the full price, not the promotional weekly rate. I will be hesitant to rent from them again. Couldnt give 0 stars.

Car was not ready when got to airport for pickup. Waited over 2 hours with 2 kids anxious to start their vacation! Then when it got there, it was filthy! Condescending girl at the check out counter commented that she could give me a different car if I couldnt wait any longer. Rude!

Another reviewer mentioned shady practices at this branch (Missoula) and I wish I had read that review before booking.I received the same line that because they are a franchise they do not follow the policies of corporate. Although I had already paid in full and received no notice of such an arrangement from budget at *any* point. Because I had booked through usaa to waive an under 25 fee, and they refused to waive that fee when I arrived (they claimed I needed active duty service papers, which is not true by their or usaa policy). They basically made me unable to rent a car at all, as i had made all my plans with what I thought was the reaosnable assumption Budget would honor Budgets own policies.I would hesitate to do business with Budget at this location. Actually, do not rent from here at all, it was a nightmare.

Id rent from Budget over and over again. The customer service in Missoula was top notch and the car was clean and new. Way to go!
