Very nice, clean dealership with friendly, HELPFUL sales reps. I worked with Kevin to purchased my first EV. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle I was interested in and extremely helpful during the purchasing process. I am really happy with my vehicle and highly recommend Karl Tyler Missoula Volkswagen.
Ive been treated very well every time I took my car here for service/repair so I decided to start with them when searching for a new car. I was helped by Kevin, he was very honest and a pleasure to work with - just what I was hoping to find. Thanks to everyone that Ive had the chance to work with so far, keep it up!
I feel my car/baby is always taken care by knowledgeable staff and honest pricing. Yes these foreign cars can be pricey but I pay for quality from a knowledgeable staff. They even wash and vacuum my car and that’s just the icing on the cake for me
Totally mind-blowing customer service. We needed the mechanic services and not only got our problem fixed, but also full car inspection and complimentary car wash. I wish I lived closer to Missoula to be able to visit them regularly.
Staff is always very helpful and personable. Service is great. I appreciate being given a vehicle to drive while our Atlas is being serviced. We have had this Atlas over three years and greatly enjoy owning it. Thank you.
Good experience. First oil change since purchase. Free. And total system check and wash and vacuum. All complete in 52 minutes.
Purchased a 2020 Jetta from them had a small hiccup that they took care of for me even though I had gotten back to Kentucky. Yes I went to Montana from Kentucky to get a car. Better deal even with the purchase of a plane ticket. Staff is great. Josh did a wonderful job from start to finish including the hiccup that I had. Will never go anywhere else. Would recommend them and Josh for your next purchase.
Those that say to never go to the dealership dont drive German cars...That being said, it was my first trip to Karl Tylers (I had a specific issue that I knew needed fixing. No chance of being up sold to something else) and I was pretty impressed. Its very clean, especially the entry car port, well lit, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable (I got specific answers to very specific questions), they washed and vacuumed my car, and I wasnt there for an excessive amount of time (the option to be shuttled home is also available).I got used to a certain level of service in St. Louis, and I wasnt disappointed here. Which means that I will most likely purchase my next GTI here also.I hope that I dont have to spend too much time here, outside of regular maintenance, but either way it looks like I will be well taken care of regardless.
AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! It’s been 7 years since I have bought a car and I was nervous doing this solo since I had a bad experience at another dealership in Missoula. Josh and the team made it SO EASY! There was no pressure and they really helped me get into an amazing car! I cannot say enough about this dealership. This is the place to go in Missoula!!
Josh was extremely helpful with my first solo car purchase. It can be a little nerve racking and annoying going in to buy a car. Josh took all those nerves away and really worked with me on finding the best solution for my needs. He was extremely patient and highly informed with his inventory and what I needed. Ended up driving out with my car! Its been a few weeks and no issues! Plus their lifetime powertrain warranty in unbeatable. Give KT Volkswagen a look and be sure to ask for Josh.
Great service and friendly staff
These guys are awesome, and always treat me extremely well. they provide a car if I need it, or drop me somewhere if a long service. there are beverages while you wait, and tv if you like. only problem: the waiting chairs are brutally uncomfortable! just sayin...
I had an issue with my Audi a six not only did they go out of their way to fit me into a packed schedule they got it finished quicker than they had originally estimated and for less money than we had originally anticipated, cannot brave enough about Dan in the rest of the service department at Carl Tyler BW honest great people
Mike was a very helpful sales associate! He was super easy to talk to and not forcing anything. This is the best dealership I have ever dealt with.
Their service department is horribly overpriced. $750 for a transmission service ($150 most everywhere else)?!?! At least they did it on schedule and did not mess it up, but the price is a rip-off.
It took 4 solid weeks to repair my vehicle due to waiting for parts, the first part took 2 weeks to get and then was found to be the wrong one and so the correct part had to be ordered, and not all of the repairs were ever even completed! Then they didnt even clean the car for me, beyond wiping down the dash. I am thankful for the loaner, but the loaner was a hard step down in both size and trim level. Overall, my first experience at Karl Tylers Missoula Volkswagen was pretty terrible.
Today one of our technicians had an issue with his seat belt and we stopped in to get it fixed. Dan and Kevin went above and beyond for us getting us back on the road in under an hour and fixing the issue completely. They were so kind and took care of everything to get us back on schedule. Thank you VW Missoula!
The whole car buying experience is pretty new to me so I was pretty intimidated walking in the door. I am beyond grateful for the respect, patience, and kindness, that both Brian and Kevin showed me. Brian was extremely kind and patient with all of my questions and really took the time to explain information to me. I definitely recommend other people to work with those guys and am still grateful for the positive treatment that I received!
Had a great experience with Karl Tyler VW Missoula. They made the whole leasing process easy, and helped us out when we unexpectedly needed to leave the country and terminate the lease.
You like Kyle Tyler service and the people that I work with
Fantastic service and great people! The guys really took care of me and made sure I wasnt left confused or questioning what I was buying. Im extremely happy with my car, and I know they worked hard to get the price where I wanted it. As a first time buyer, the experience was stress free and an honest fun time. Thank you so much Dylan!Special thanks to Alan Smola
My wife and I just bought our first car together from Karl Tyler VW. We had been looking for a new vehicle for quite some time, but kept getting jerked around by other dealerships. When we found a vehicle we liked at Karl Tyler we went to take a look at it, but we both had our guard up due to past experiences. Within a few minutes we both felt at ease. Josh (salesman) and Brian (Financial manager) bent over backwards to get us into our vehicle. We will definitely be back to buy our next vehicle from them!
Be wary of unexpected charges at this dealership, I was charged $125 without being notified. I was called 2 times with updates on my car, one of which asking if I would pay $19 for fuel additive, I agreed. A $125 charge for pouring fuel additive in was never mentioned to me. I was told by Dan Lynn (Service Consultant) that there would be no extra charges other than the $50 deductible for the CPO warranty. I contacted Don Rasmussen (Service Manager) as I was unhappy with not being notified of the charge, Don said I was 100% notified of the charge, not true. If I knew about it, I definitely would not have had them do the work. I am 19 years old and this is the first car I have purchased and I feel they have taken advantage of me. That is the reason behind my 1 star for this dealership, be careful.
Their service department is second to none!! The service writer, Gloria, does a great job of clearly explaining what services are being done to your car. The mechanics dont jack your seats, radio, electronics settings around or mess up the interior while in their care! Great experience!
Bought a vehicle from this dealership back in NOV18. Vehicle had performance issues that boiled down to needing new tires. The service inspection was abnormally pricey and the tires that were suggested for me to purchase were about double the price through the service center than what you could get them for normally around town. I chose another trusted tire shop in Missoula and saved around $400 on the tires plus another $110 on the proposed VW service center balancing fee, which is free most other places when you buy the tires there. Lesson: watch your wallet at this dealership by doing your research.
Would not take vehicles here to get worked on. Took my car to get cv axle done on the front passenger side. After Volkswagen of Missoula changed it my axle shaft seal started leaking. I called Dave the service manager and he said it wasnt leaking before so thats not on them and wanted me to pay after for them to do the work again. I will never go here again.!!
Best car buying experience ever! So easy & quick! Thanks Brian and Kevin for the excellent service!
We had our 2007 VW Beetle here to have a couple new tires put on. They also checked our fluids and cleaned our vehicle. Nice people!
The service department and sales personnel are so amazing. Customer service is the priority at this dealership, for sure. Dave, Rachael, Gloria, and Kevin are such warm, accomodating people, they always make us feel welcome, like family. Weve done business with many other dealers, never have had the positive experiences as we have with these folks.
Great service and great people. I love this place.
Great staff and really enjoyed test driving the cars
We had a great experience at Missoula VW. Josh and Brian were excellent to work with and went above and beyond to help us out. After having a poor experience at a different dealership earlier in the day, Josh and Brian seemed to honestly care. The pricing was fair and honest, and the customer service was way above average. We are so glad we choose to come to Missoula VW!
I absolutely LOVE the team at Karl Tylers Missoula Volkswagen! They are so much fun and really care about what the customer wants! PLUS, I just love the new building!
Service dept at both Chevy and VW both so awesome I cant imagine buying anywhere else
I have had many problems with the service department. No one at Karl Tyler VW seems competent in their job nor happy. There are allways long wait times as well. The people who work in parts are often very rude when asked questions.
Very nice experience.
Took my car in to get my head light problem diagnosed and they told me it was the igniter and that I would need to purchase a $900 headlamp to replace it. I tested this out myself and swapped headlamps to see if the broken one would work with the other plug and it did!!! So they flat out lied to me about the problem, charged me $115 and suggested I spend 900 dollars on a headlamp. Its clearly a wiring issue or the control module and they would of screwed me out of all my money. Absolutely terrible.
We purchased a 2012 V.W. Pussat from someone on line and found it had a whole lot of problems. I took it in for service at Karl Tyler V.W. and even though it was an expensive fix{not their fault} Peggy in service was AWESOME. She deserves a raise. They got it fixed and all is well. Thank you.
Service department did not honor VW warranty on parts. Told me to deal with the Bozeman dealership instead on a very simple fix that should have been covered. Did not return my call after complaint. VERY BAD experience. Ill go to the Kalispell dealership the next time I buy a new VW and stay clear of this place and the Bozeman dealership.
The guys were great to work with. Will return when ready for my next purchase.
Expensive oil change but friendly staff
I went in with a broken window and the tech decided to go into my engine and tinker around without my notice or consent! After 5 hours (which shouldve taken half an hour) they handed me my car back with the window still broken and no diagnosis for that. But they sure did have a diagnostics for my engine - about $3K! of unnecessary work - THE WORST PART IS THEY WENT IN AND BROKE SOMETHING UNDER MY HOOD TURNING A FIX LIGHT ON just so I would have to pay for it too. I never returned! Stay local and small town shop!If anyone else was criminally swindled by these scum scammers, please contact me in order to be part of a class action lawsuit. We need to and MUST hold every rotten business accountable. Our hard earned money and livelihood is at stake.
Missoula Volkswagen delivers a great product and great service! We bought a 2012 Passat TDI new and the sales team got us a great car for a great deal. We have already put over 80k miles on it and still love the ride, the performance, and the fuel economy. The service crew at Missoula Volkswagen takes terrific care of the car and keeps me humming down the roads of the Northwest. The service department gets me in and out whenever I need them and they bend over backwards to make it a positive experience. There is no need to take our Passat anywhere else. I would not hesitate to recommend Missoula Volkswagen!
I love Missoula VW! It is always a wonderful experience walking through the door.
I love the customer service at this dealership! They are very accommodating with scheduling and go above and beyond to make sure that me and my vehicle are taken care of from the services to getting a car wash, and my vehicle was not a VW! I loved everything so much from the services and the vehicles on the lot, that I eyed up a used Jetta Wagen and ended up taking it home. Sales was great to work with, and comfortable. They let me take the vehicle home to show the other half and make sure it would fit all my needs (as well as all of my dogs).
Its give and take. Prices are meh. I just go in for service, theres always something theyll try to sell ya or something to replace.
Exceptional customer service and professional staff! Highly recommended♡.
This review is long overdue, and I apologize to the staff of this VW dealership for taking so long to submit. In October 2014 I was crossing through Missoula while traveling the country in my 2013 Jetta. I found myself just a few miles outside of town exploring some fire/hunting roads in attempt to settle down for the night in a suitable campground. 5 miles off-road and on top of a mountain, I went to go pull into a lot without noticing a massive ditch that fell off right beside the road and, consequently, I nose-dived right into it.There were quite a few cosmetic damages but nothing I was obsessively concerned about. I then realized that all of my power steering fluid was leaking out, most likely caused from a broken o-ring at one of the connections to the pump. Luckily I was on top of the mountain and had enough 4G signal to spot this VW dealership nearby. I called immediately, frantically explaining my situation. Gloria, from the dealership, told me to call roadside services and that they would help me set up a tow considering that my vehicle was still under warranty. After speaking with roadside services and going back and forth with the tow driver, I realized that it was going to be impossible to find me after hours of searching. With it now getting dark I decided the best course of action would be to walk the 5mi to the road in the darkness of Grizzly country with nothing but a 45.Luckily I made it to the road just fine, found the driver and guided him up to retrieve my car. By the time I had reached the dealership it was 11pm and I would have to wait until dawn to get my car in for service. I settled into the backseat of my car, sleeping in 1hr increments in the sub 30 cold underneath a fluorescent parking lot fixture until the service center opened. As soon as folks started to get to work I immediately jumped to action searching for assistance. Luckily, I was able to find Gloria, and explained to her my story all over again asking for her help. The service staff immediately admitted my Jetta to get her fixed asap, and in less than 2 hours I was being given the final OKs to her repairs. When Gloria came to me stating the charges that I would need to pay, I explained to her that the tow driver had taken almost all of my reserve funds for this trip the night before, considering he had to search for me off-road for hours where roadside service does not cover. I was never given an explanation of who covered the bill, but Im willing to bet the outstanding, caring, amazing people of Missoula VW found it in their hearts to help a young traveller out in his time of need, and for that I am forever grateful to these folks.Thank you all for everything you did for me, and I hope I get to see you all again, but with better circumstances. Cheers!!
The people and service were great.Friendly, helpful, informative, timely.
Needed help getting the locking lug nuts off my 2K09Jetta, Don and the service dept lady were more than helpful!! Thanks
Recently bought a used 2005 Jetta TDI GLS that was unfortunately recently Serviced @ Karl Tylers Missoula VW.Although the sevice records supplied by the previous owner shows the following items were repaired or replaced recently ... I kinda dont believe it.Air filter - Caked with dirt, very old.(previous owner paid $19.98 for a new one less than 2k miles ago)Fuel filter - Same - chokedFull body lube - Suspension and doors squeked and creaked badly. Beyond dry.Has a leaky head gasket - not a big deal, guess they missed that. Also managed to CROSS-THREAD a wheel lug when swapping over the summer/winter tires 10/11/14. Drove the nut home with the impact wrench anyway. That cost $400.00 to drill out and replace the hub and wheel bearing. (Previous owner paid $115.00 for this service). Had I experienced a flat at the side of the road, this wheel would have been impossible to remove and change out.Luckily the Jetta was serviced elsewhere for almost all its life to date, and is in good shape. I realize buying a used car has risks. I try to minimize the risk by trying to find a car that has been well maintained with service records to back it up. It infuriates me that the previous owerner paid for service that appears to have not been performed, and that I have to not only pay for it again, but also pay to fix the damage caused by shoddy workmanship on top of it.
At all cost avoid the Sales Manager Brian Stanek.
Karl Tyler rocks! Their customer service is exemplary, especially after the sale!
Great people, great cars.
Always great service!
Great service attitude
Excellent!
