These guys are absolutely the best! I had our only vehicle develop a starting issue which left us in a bind. Even though they were fully booked a month out, Josh worked me into the schedule and repaired our Jeep by the next day! They are friendly and do top quality work at a very fair price. I love my truck. Honestly, I never thought I would get one, despite it being all my dad wanted for me. I went through three cars before I found this beauty and I never want to go without again. Honesty automotive was a last minute (much needed) oil change that Josh was able to fit me in for and what a great experience! Josh and the guys are friendly and were loving toward my puppy. It was a quick oil change and I was back on the road. Happy to get to know the business a little better and hoping to be back next time around!

We were 7 hours from home when our check engine light came on. Great service, helped me out in a pinch at 3pm on a Friday when they were slammed. Gave a quick diagnostic to help out, much appreciated to the fellow who helped us.

For background I have several family members that work in the auto repair industry who know when they lack the ability to do a repair for us. This was one such case. We had a Ford Expedition 2005, which is notorious for having the nastiest spark plugs to change due to them easily breaking off and getting stuck in the engine. I called all auto shops within a two hour drive to see who had the most experience and correct equipment to get them out without breaking them off. We chose Honesty Automotive as they seemed be the most experienced and understanding of the situation, and they were up front about the estimated cost letting us know as we were well aware the risks due to the age of the spark plugs. They got the spark plugs off with success which was no small accomplishment in a timely manner. What could have been a $2500 plus catastrophe was avoided by their expertise, hard work, diligence, and precision.

While traveling in MT while on vacation, our recent brake job from a shop in UT went bad. While towing an 18 travel trailer, the front end of our Highlander started to make noises like it was going to drop off. Even with a full schedule, Josh squeezed us in. He quickly determined that the previous shop didnt tighten the brake assembly fully. The bolts that hold the calipers to rotor had fallen out and every time we hit any road imperfection the entire assembly was banging around inside the wheel, causing all the noise. Josh was able to find bolts to match up and reinstall everything perfectly... making our vehicle and the reminder of our trip SAFE. If we lived in Missoula, I would definitely make Honesty Automotive our go to for anything mechanical on our vehicles. Thanks Josh for keeping us safe and saving our 6 week trailering adventure!

He fixed a sloppy transmission selector on the spot and explained to me that they were busy and recommended me to another shop that would be able to help with some other issues. While traveling west through Montana, we were experiencing low voltage problems with our truck battery. Two of our sons own NAPA stores in other states so we found one in Missoula that gave us a discount on the purchase of a new alternator. When we asked about a shop to have it installed they told us the only one they knew of that would let you bring your own parts was Honesty Automotive. At our request he called them and they were able to get us in right away. They installed the new alternator and we were on the road again in an hour. Thanks Josh and crew for excellent service!

I just completed some extensive repairs with these folks and they were patient and professional and did an outstanding job. They gave me a fair price, which was far lower than they could have charged and my only regret is not having more friends to recommend them to.

Super nice folks; I was visiting from out of town and my truck had burned a plug wire or two on the drive over. They squeezed me in and got me fixed up with new wires, and the final price was even a bit less than the estimate I approved. Ive struggled in the past finding people to work on my Suzuki in the Missoula area, but I think Ive FINALLY found my shop, and what a great place it is!I had a very nasty rock put a crack in my oil pan, and desperately needed a repair as quickly as possible since I was limping around on a patched oil pan, which made me nervous. From the moment I called I was impressed. When I asked if they worked on Suzukis, I received a definitive, Yes we do, and we work on many Japanese cars so were familiar with them.I told them what was going on, and not too long after I received a call back with a quote for the work, which was significantly lower than another place I had contacted who werent familiar with Suzukis.Honesty Automotive was able to get me in on a date that worked for me, and were kind enough to be honest with me to tell me I might need to be without my car for a day or two (thereby removing any surprises if the car needed to be there longer than a day).I was able to drop my car off after hours (which made it much more convenient), and the next day about halfway through the day I received a call saying my car was done (early!), and that it hadnt taken them as long as they had thought so my final cost would actually be lower than their quote (awesome!).I should also mention I brought in my own new oil pan, and at the last minute added a skid plate I also brought in (which they didnt have any issue with me doing), and still the final cost was under their original quote.They were courteous, friendly, speedy, didnt make me feel stupid or talk down to me as a woman, and they absolutely live up to their name. Im incredibly impressed with them, and am only bummed out I havent taken my car to them sooner. Knock on wood my car doesnt need more repair work, but if it does, Ill definitely be a return customer. Thank you again for your help and your good work! My little car is now happy to ramble over rocky roads again. :)

Honesty is in the name, and it stands true. I have had a 2 things repaired at H.A on my Land Rover: My rear suspension went out, and they were able to replace it, and I had a pretty bad coolant leak that is almost entirely fixed (small stubborn leak, nothing major).Hardly anyone in Missoula works on Land Rovers, I shouldve done more research on my vehicle before buying it, but my lesson has been learned.. I am very grateful for Josh and his crew, being able to fix what they can, and being HONEST in telling me if they cant. So far Ive been lucky and theyve been able to repair everything Ive needed repaired, and for a decent price!Ive already recommended H.A to a few people, theyre trustworthy, dependable, hard working, and actually care about their customers. I think the shop does good work, my issue however is when I called they stated they would need to look at my car and give me an estimate . So I dropped my car off before work and when I picked it up after work Josh went over the estimate with me and told me my charges so far were 49.18. I was not informed there was a cost for the estimate and I am sure my face showed my surprise. Josh told me if I went for his estimate he would deduct the fee for the estimate so that mad me feel better . I had them fix my car and when I went to get it he told me the price which was approx $3 less than the estimate so I asked did you take of the 49.18 and he said yes.... I had an appointment to go to so paid and left. When I got home I looked at my quote and it did not sit well with me so I called Josh the next morning and he stated I took it off the top...I believe they mean well but my pocket book is pretty tight and so I truly thought my bill was going to be closer to 430 not 480 since I already paid 49.I had other quotes that were within a couple of bucks of his quote but they did charge for the estimate... so lesson learned and I am out 49.18.
