Carl and the team at A-Plus Auto were able to get my car into the shop way quicker than anywhere in town. They subsequently diagnosed the problem (issue with Idler/Tensioner Pulleys on my Crown Vic) and had it completely fixed within 24 hours. The cost was extremely reasonable. Great job. π
I was working in Missoula. I called A plus because my truck was rocking side to side. I was told it was a stabilizer something or other. The employee who answered told me without hesitation that he could not get to me but referred me to Whalen who saw me immediately. I commend this business for their reality and not stringing me along. Thank you so very much for your help. I travel here and there for work and am never in one place long enough to leave the truck overnight. And I work graveyard shift so need transportation at 11pm.
They took the time to listen to my car at the end of the business day when it was making noises. Also looked up any possible recalls on the vehicle to check for the issues. Great customer service and would definitely recommend them to anyone.
So my car got broken into and I brought it into a plus for an estimate. They never gave me an estimate just did the work never kept me updated only time I got answers was when I called in, then once I finally got an estimate they said around 500 bucks and I go into the shop today and itβs 800. I highly recommend finding somewhere else to preform your work. This was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had an when I asked about it he had no answers for me.
We were on the road to another city and Carl at A plus Automotive was the only one that helped us. All the other shops did not even consider checking the issue with the car. Carl had plenty of customers, but he understood the gravity of our situation and decided to take the car in.
Passing through on a road trip and experienced engine problems. Checked with dealer and several repair shops and no one would help. One repair shop referred us to APlus and they said they would fit us in if they could get the part. They explained the issue, gave a fair quote, went and got the part and got us back on the road ASAP. They were professional and courteous and we are very grateful. I highly recommend APlus if you are in the area.
Only place I will take my vehicles. When they replace a part they show me the old one and show me why it was replaced. They dont over charge me and treat me with respect.
Fast and friendly. Great group of guys and easy to find.
These guys are amazing fair priced and incredible workers been going to them for about four years .they take very great care of our automobile and us.
The great team, and job! They will make sure your vehicle gets perfect fix, and they are transparent mechanics. Thank you guys for the great job, and the price was just right!
No problems on my end.
Long wait to be assisted but we always receive good, quality work! We have many family members that use this company and love them!
Really good dudes. Super good quality work, super nice, and good pricing. Honest, awesome, smart, and great service. Highly recommend the guys at A Plus!!!
Weve used A+ automotive for years and have always been pleased with their service. My husband works out of state, sometimes for months. He trusts Carl to take care of the familys auto needs while hes away. Id never let anyone else work on our rigs. He takes good honest care of my moms truck as well. Nice family who treats us like one of their own. Their staff is the best. Rod always has me laughing! Thank you Carl and Susan for taking care of my family! Helen
Had wheel bearings go out on our car during a family vacation. Was stuck in Missoula with my wife and two kids. After a couple of phone calls and people telling us it will take too long and couldnt get in that day, these guys were happy to help and got us in and on the road. Very professional and reasonable priced. Thanks!
Good honest work!
I just want to give a Big thanks. Visiting from out of state they sure help us get our car fixed and going. Very friendly and helpful people.
My experience with A Plus Automotive was very pleasant. The staff was friendly, accommodating and educated about my situation. The facility was clean. And service was fast. I definitely will return if I have need to. Also I would recommend A Plus Automotive.
Went in and had my car diagnosed for some problems it was having. They called back and of course tried to sell me a timing belt service which wasnβt needed, but would make them around 400$. Then proceeded to tell me the issue of my problem. I took my car, (which started to have more problems after I picked it up then when I brought it in) and went and got the expensive part they said I needed. I got the part replaced and the issue is still there. These guys are a giant waste of time and money. Dishonest or lack of knowledge, Iβm not sure which one. The owner seemed nice, though I wouldnβt recommend these guys to anyone I like.
Iβve known Carl personally for 10+ years and have taken my car to him multiple times for a wide range of different issues from oil changes to wheel bearings to radiator repairs. He has always been flexible and quick to get our rig in and I have never had issues with the work he has done. Iβve taken things to Jiffy Lube or Express Lube and had, literally rags left in my engine and flashlights left ON in crevices is my engine. ?!?!?!?! I always take my car to Carl and will continue to do so due to the great service I receive there.
My complaint was tapping in the engine and an gear slippage. The diagnosis was a rattling license plate and a loose shift stick. AND a bad head gasket. They offered to find and replace my vehicles engine. All I was given was a receipt of $178 paid and a verbal description. I began shopping for an engine. And- a second opinion. They found no leak of antifreeze in the engine after three pressure tests and a dye sniffer. And diagnosed the tapping was a need for valve adjustment. This repair shop made the diagnosis for free.A+ gave a half-correct diagnosis, the shifter, and the other half was proven to be in error. I brought my complaint to the owner to learn they stood by their diagnosis and like a good business-maker, they offered to work on my vehicle again in the future.
After a month of frustration with Missoula Kia I called them asked if I could tow it to them they said yes had the car fixed in one day for hundreds less I will recommend them to everyone
We have used A Plus Auto for all of our vehicles since it opened its doors. We love the excellent service we received and have never had a problem with any of the work done. We will continue to be loyal customers for many years to come.
I was dead in the water with a dead alternator and 60 miles from home. I was lucky it went out right near my favorite Auto Shop on Broadway in Missoula. It was 3:00 PM and I had no choice but to get it fixed to get home and go to work the next day. Carl found a replacement and took me right in and put his best man on the job. Two hours later, I was on the road to home. Love this place, A-Plus Auto in Missoula. Very friendly and great customer service. You will not be disappointed if you go there.
These guys are great, fix everything thing fast.
Came here the fist time when my wifes car developed a case of bad luck and needed a new engine. Carl was able to find us the best deal on a used, but good condition replacement. Price for everything seemed more than fair, and the car has ran smoother afterwards than either my wife or I could remember. After this event, I had to have work done on my car for some loud noises while steering. A different shop (dealer I bought the car from) went as far as replacing the steering shaft, a wheel bearing, and one other item that has since slipped my mind. This did address some issues with my car, but did not resolve the noise issue that I brought it in for. $700 and some severe frustration later, I took the car to Carl at A+ and he quickly found that the power steering fluid was low. Simply filling it up eliminated the noise.I have always returned to A+ after these events, but never for the same issue. The work done is top notch, the staff is friendly, and I know they have saved me a lot of money. A+ will continue to always be the first place I call when anything else comes up.
Smart guys all em just good people.however I was quoted 45 for diagnostic 150 for labor of I had my part I did also replaced a coil for almost 200 more..my bill was almost 40..i was shocked.but good work cost.money!
Fixed waterpump in less than a day and my plate as well great place
I would recommend everyone to get their repairs here. Excellent service, prices, and work.
I have been taking my truck here for the past few years and have always has fantastic service. Before taking my truck here I tried some other automotive shops around Missoula and either paid way more than what I felt was fair or received very poor quality of work. I will not take my truck anywhere else now that I have found A Plus Automotive. Always fair, always friendly an Karl and Kim are very willing to show you in the shop what is actually broken and what they have replaced. You will not find a better shop in Missoula than them. Five stars all the way.
Took my vehicle there for a lower intake manifold gasket repair in my Buick. The Buick Century family of cars in this generation are infamous for this one quirk that causes coolant to leak. The kit to fix this problem is relatively inexpensive, but unfortunately its a labor-intensive job for mechanics which takes around 6 hours. For the consumer this means its quite expensive to fix, like around 600 dollars or more!.I took my vehicle here a couple years ago to have this fixed. Tentatively, if this is fixed correctly the first time, you should never have to get it fixed again. This is because the default part by GMC was bad in the manufacturing, but can be replaced with a better kit and loctite so it never happens again.Guess what happened recently? It happened again on my vehicle when this was supposed to be fixed 3 years ago! Another almost 600 down the tubes now because these guys didnt do it right the first time.I took my vehicle to a different local mechanic that I know and trust. This mechanic showed me that the job wasnt sealed with Loctite the first time, which would have saved me $600! They used the proper kit, but they failed at doing it right.Whether this was deliberate in hopes I would have to take it to them again later, ignorance, or negligence Im not sure. Im hoping its not due to dishonesty, but instead its due to ignorance. Either way I could never trust them to do a job again. Im going elsewhere.
Will never take my vehicle to them again. I called in to pay my bill and they told me an amount that I paid. Then they called me back and told me I owed them more money. They told me the wrong amount. Wouldnt make it right. Made me pay for their mistake. That was the owner.
Completely failed fixing my transmission. Priced over my quote. Held my car for weeks over what they told me. Then when I had to get another re-haul on my transmission AGAIN, at a different auto-body- they did not stand behind their work and did nothing for me- Two transmissions fixes total.
Great place!
