I thought I’d pop in to see if I could get in for an overdue oil change expecting I’d be leaving with an appointment. To my pleasant surprise, a tech was available and I got in! But wait, tire rotation is needed…no problem. But wait, there’s a recall too. He started to say that we probably needed to schedule another appointment but the tech chimed in and said he’d take care of it! But wait, you need a new cabin filter too…no problem. They professionally and quickly got my car to tip top shape in almost exactly an hour! So happy, thanks guys 😊

Excellent on - time service replacing a recalled airbag. They were very kind and accommodating when I came back in to grab something I left in my car... twice! Repair was done earlier than expected. Leaving the dealership my car began vibrating wildly on the highway so I turned around and brought it right back. They looked at it right away and diagnosed the new problem. Basically my car had been SUPER dusty because I drive on dirt and gravel roads everyday and the summers drought made everything extra dusty. Morries washed my car before the original repair, TWICE, but some dusty sludge settled in the wheel wells on the bottom of the rotors (hard to see). So at fast speeds the wheels became very unbalanced. Anyways they quickly diagnosed the problem and cleaned my rotors right up.My service agent that day was Pao Yang. I cannot say enough good things about the excellent and friendly service I received. I hope he is paid well but he is still not paid enough for sure because he is that wonderful.
Great job. Really good communication. I appreciate the straight, honest approach. No “hard sell” on some of the services that I know I will need to fit in eventually. So, I left feeling confident that my Suby is in great shape, and that it’s no problem holding off until my next visit to tackle some additional maintenance. I am glad that I chose MORRIE’S! What I thought was going to be a real test of my patience turned out to be one of the better car service appointments I’ve ever had. All of the maintenance was done well and in a amount of reasonable time, especially given how busy the service department was. My service advisor, Fuji, went above and beyond to provide great service throughout my visit, despite it clearly being a very busy day for him and the rest of the service department. I especially appreciated his kindness and thoroughness. Thanks, Fuji!

I went in for a tire rotate and Key cut and programming, and I was blown away at how inexpensive it was! Scheduling was easy, and the service writer was upfront about everything. In and out in under an hour and a half! Definitely will be back for future services!
The service is always great here. I usually make an appointment so when I get there I get greeted right away. Jack Thao takes care of all my needs and makes sure I’m well informed through every step of my car servicing process so I know my expected wait time. The staff was really friendly and the service was very efficient. Also, the waiting area is nice with a fancy coffee machine, snacks, and other beverages. This will be my regular Subaru for service needs.
Service manager Tim helped explain all the work that needed to be done to get my 2014 Outback’s air conditioner back in service. In fact, the repair was completed earlier than expected. Great job everyone. I give them 5 stars because they earned it!

Drop off was quick and easy. They had a rental car for me and I was out the door. Then things went south. Got a phone call that my car was ready. Drove 20 minutes to pick up my car, it wasn’t ready. The oil change had not been performed. They offered to do it right away(which was nice) but I had no extra time. Drove 20 minutes again back home and had to back the following day. Happy with the work but apparently the line of communication got cut somewhere along the line. Typically these guys get 5 stars. I’ll be back. Just this experience I had to give a 3 star.
They performed airbag recall work on my car. The guy at the service desk was honest about how long it would take. They will update you with phone calls. The job was done in a reasonable amount of time and I appreciated the communication. Thanks guys.

Service was excellent. The young woman coordinating all the appointments at the service counters was professional & very helpful to everyone. I learned about free car washes from her. She took the time to notify the directors desk & finance staff that I wanted to purchase a pre-paid service plan. Everyone did a great job.
I went in to get my brake pads replaced, but they were very honest with me and said I didn’t even need to get that done for another few thousand miles. Service was timely, professional and friendly; I’ll definitely come back again
This doesnt always happen, but for my most recent visit (a screw in my tire), I was scheduled for a same-day appointment. Maybe tire repairs are fairly quick and easy compared to other service needs? Fuji, the employee who took care of me was friendly and helpful and called as soon as the car was finished. And the total bill was less than my original quote (also, this doesnt usually happen!). We dont always have such a a great experience, but as one of the last cars to be serviced on a Friday night, I felt like a VIP! I appreciated that they didnt just rush me through, even though we all just want to get home on a Friday night!
Diagnosis and replacement of faulty wheel bearing was quick. They were able to get my vehicle in the same day, they offered a loaner, and the staff was clearly working very hard (super busy) but they were very polite, attentive, and caring! My service advisor went above and beyond! Great visit and highly recommend!
Great place great people. The only reason I’m rating them 2 star is that it would be nice if they send out service promotions or if they would check to see if they are offering any service promotions when your car is being serviced. I have been going to this facility since we bought our and not one time have the service team offered us any service promotions discounts.
My Service Advisor Don Weiss hands down is the very Best! Too many things going on in my life at the time when a major part went bad in my vehicle. He went above and beyond to diagnose the problem and have it completed in record time. He is a great asset to Minnetonka Subaru.

In addition to all the recall and other routine maintenance work getting done well, the service was excellent. In particular, I appreciated the recommendation to replace the spark plugs, since they’d be in the engine anyway for the recall work; so what could have been a few-hundred dollar repair later, for all the labor, ended up being under a hundred dollars for just the parts. That’s thoughtful, quality service.
Great service and wonderful customer service at the shop! Always helpful, accommodating, and on time. However, their website is misleading. It says their oil change package comes with a tire rotation. This is not accurate, they require a separate service for this. The website needs to be updated with more transparency which is why I did not give 5 stars.
Bought a used car in 2017 from them. Services at recommend times have been done and few issues found in last 4 years. Being able get free car washes at random times is nice.

I tried to use them. Had a 7:30 am appointment dropped my car off for a tune up. At 3 pm I started calling as they were supposed to call me at noon with the update. No one in service was available. Finally got a return call at 4:30. They had not looked at it. Told me they were sorry and there are 4 other people whose car did not get looked at. Go figure.Picked up my car and am taking it someplace else.
The workers are very friendly. It took nearly 4 hours for an oil change, tire rotation, brake replacement, and replacing a light. I asked for an estimate on paint which I never got because they didn’t know where the paint guy was or if he was even working. I was given his card and told I could call or text him for a quote. The complimentary car wash was mediocre, but that wasn’t surprising since it was free. After waiting for 3.75 hours I had to go ask for an update on the status of my car since I had to leave for an appointment. The guy who checked me out asked me what the cost of the services was. This is the first time I left this location disappointed. I’m not sure if it’s new management or what, but I hope they work out these kinks before my next oil change.
Is left my car for a 75,000 mile diagnostic and to repair a trim piece — around $500. Over the course of 24 hrs, I received 4 voicemails, all while on vacation, saying “we found something else”. Final estimate was around $2400. When I asked for the list in writing (something service poster says I will get BEFORE repairs), I never received it. I asked them to not do anything until I saw the list — when I went to pick up car, the bill was over $1300, in spite of fact that I had an email saying I wanted a list of repairs before doing anything). I agreed to pay the $500 I understood but at first they said they would not give me my car until I paid the entire bill. I argued and showed my emails, voicemails and the number of times in 24 hours I was called “finding more” when only one diagnostic was done. I never received in writing as advertised. Eventually they reduced bill back to the $500 I had agreed and let me take my car, but not without getting upset and making phone calls to others in the business. This ruined my restful vacation.This came 6 months after a fiasco occurred with Morrie’s Ford where I had co-signed a lease for my daughter. When she returned the car, they somehow failed to record the return and created a whole new list of charges, penalties, etc. We didn’t discover until we went to close on our new house and discovered a black mark on our credit — horrible situation that took over a month to correct. They promised to “make it right” but the repair situation above happened instead — I thought Morrie’s was reputable and have given them business several times — and this is what I got for my loyalty.

It’s the whole reason I come back is for the loyalty points and I found out they hadn’t been updating them for the last 9 services I had done... was a pain to get fixed too after 5 phone calls to the dealership and reward point management company. Overall customer service and making sure I leave happy could be better, instead of just the bare minimum.

My car was due for service because of a recall. Because of an accident I was unable to drive. The dealership picked up my car, performed the service and returned my car. I was very appreciative of this great customer service.

Took my car in for new tires and oil change. They said it would take 2-3 hours. After waiting over 3.5 hours I tracked down my advisor. He was confused and then saw that the car was done. He didnt offer an apology for not tracking me down when the car was done. The paper work clearly showed that I was a waiter. Who knows how long it was done and how long I waiting needlessly. To top off the experience the new tires were all at different air pressures including one that was inflated over 5psi the recommended pressure. Usually Ive been pleased with service, but this time made me think I should have gone to Costco for my new tires.
The team is pleasant and the waiting area is comfortable. An easy way to change your oil.

Terrible experience! Despite buying a car from them, their new system changed all my info and instead of being done, I now need schedule another round of maintenance because they couldnt contact me (my number was on the invoice). After an hour of talking with Morries employees (5) I finally found out my car was done when sales literally walked to service to find out what was happening. Ive honestly had very few positive experiences in over five years of service.
Great customer service, as always. Extremely friendly, happy, and helpful staff. They gave me a price up front and made sure that I understood what the proposed services were as well as their cost. They estimated services would take about an hour and a half, but I was out the door in about an hour!
Brought my vehicle (2017 Chevy Equinox) in that I bought from them because it kept dying and the service engine light was on. They decided to add 2 quarts of oil, clear the codes and send me on my way. The light came on and the car died before I even left the parking lot. When I went back in, they told me to go to a GM dealer. I managed to limp it to a GM dealer to find that the code was referencing the intake cam actuator that needed to be replaced. They also found that it didnt need two quarts of oil and was now burning oil as it had been overfilled. I would give them 0 stars if I could.

Service took 6 hours instead of two as indicated at check in. Luckily I had a loaner. At check in I was told I had made two appointments although I made my reservation by phone. (?!). So they weren’t sure they had a loaner even though they agreed to it when I made the appointment and sent a confirming email. As far as I can tell, all the work was done properly and at the quoted price.
My 22 year old daughter brought her car to Morries on Minnetonka when it started shaking and all the warning lights came on. I live in Duluth so I wanted her to take it to a reputable shop. They replaced a cvt solenoid in the transmission for over $1000. Then a few days later, the lights warning of engine problems came on again. So she brought it back several times, on different days with pictures and videos of the warning lights. Finally we had it towed in to Morries when an engine overheating light came on that said stop driving the car. This was our 4th trip there in 3 weeks. Now the diagnostics lead to blown cylinder gasket, overheated engine and require the engine to be removed for the cylinder heads to be machined for $3200. While trying to contact service. Service would not answer my calls or return my calls. The service advisor Don and acting service manager Kerry or Terry would not return my calls. When we decided to tow the vehicle back up to Duluth they would not answer the tow company’s calls. I believe the car was there nine days. Then when the service manager called me back to release it to the tow company he wanted me to pay for the 150.00 diagnostic. Bringing the car in for repair 4 times, when one of the first three visits could have saved us $3000 was very frustrating. Not returning calls for days and reception saying “I can send you to there voicemail….” Reception said if I had a complaint I need to speak to the service advisor Don, the one that wasn’t returning my calls. I’m a business owner and don’t like leaving bad reviews. But Morries system apparently doesn’t have managers to speak with when there are problems. Who thinks Morries should get the bill to pay for the repairs and car rental!?
The techs communicate well with the customers, always confirming what is to be done. If they find any concerns they inform and get a written ok to do the work. Always up-front about the cost and time involved. Very clean, modern facility with beverages, snacks, fruit available as a courtesy to the customer.

I have had ongoing issues, with my battery, in my 2017 outback. I had been dealing with this issues at another subaru dealership in Milwaukee, WI. They looked into the issue here and did testing beyond the battery to upgrade some software. Im hopeful that this fix will be the last of my problems. I appreciate the work that was done.

48k maintenance service on my 2015 Outback was performed promptly and results explained with identification of items needed not immediately, but likely within the next few months including new tires and rear brake linings based on their current condition.
Don is always helpful and kind. Hes careful to follow safety protocols which we highly appreciate. We needed simple 12000 mile maintenance but received a software recall notice the day before our appointment. They were able to complete that on short notice along with the scheduled maintenance. All was done according to the timing they promised.

Fuji and Donny were pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful and funny. On previous visits I was met with efficient workers but these two were more interactive and helpful. Work done (routine oil change and work on a recall from Subaru) was done in a timely manner. They were busy but kept me informed. Even sayin stay right here, Ill get the paperwork I need, itll be a minute was helpful!
The guy that called me to set up the recall repair told me it would take 1 hour. I had told him I need to wait for it. When I brought it in the guy said it would take about 2 1/2 hrs as the tech just started on another car! Why do you set up appointments and lie to the customer how long it will take! Then I said I can’t wait that long so the guy went and spoke to the service guy and stated he could complete it in one hour and they did. Buts it’s frustrating being told one thing then when I get there being told it will take a lot longer
Every visit reinforces why I keep coming back to the dealer instead of going to another shop. I highly recommend their cars, their shop, and every member of their staff I have ever worked with. That is an incredible achievement and theyve earned my recommendation.

I was looking for the required routine maintenance schedule on your website. The page with this info did work. So I spoke with Sam via the chat regarding getting my car in for routine maintenance. He said I missed the 105k service that included a handful of items, including an a/c charge. I told him I had been having the car oil changes elsewhere. He told me I still needed to come in asap for the missed services. I took work off and brought the car in a few hours later. I was told by the technician that there really wasnt much, if anything, that needed to be done in order for me to catch up on routine maintenance. I did have them do an inspection and some random things. The tech was very puzzled as to why Sam would tell me to come in, especially for an a/c charge which they dont require. It was frustrating to get mixed info from the online chat person and in person at Morries. While I am glad I took the car in, I am frustrated about the miscommunication. The customer and car service were great, 4/5. You lost one star since you charge for diagnostic work and dont let customers put the fee towards any resulting repairs. You should, at the least, let customers put the cost of the diagnostic towards the service if the diagnostic ends up recommended a service. Its crazy you dont do this!
I highly recommend this company for anything you may need. Theyre very friendly and have always answered all questions. They take all the stress out of car repairs and its very easy to set everything up.I originally bought my car from Morries and it had previous damage to the body and wheel that they didnt have time to fix before I bought it. They fixed it all and set up a rental all hassle free.Just recently I was in a car accident and they fixed all the damage and had to paint match. Everything looks as though it belongs to the car. Ive never been this happy with a company. I will always bring my car here and recommend this place to anyone I know.
Very courteous and social distanced. One woman in the waiting area did not wear a mask and someone from Morris should have talked to her. The tables were also not cleaned off between customers sitting down. A non busy sales rep could have been assigned that duty...there were a lot of rose available.

Pao was awesome in the service department. Had a nightmare experience with a different mechanic which long story short left the lugnuts on the car broken, cross threaded, without a locking key, various different sizes and worn down where to the point no one could get my tires off. He got my new tires put on, replaced the one wheel stud the previous guy broke and got me 20 new lugnuts and a locking key within about 4 hours of the service department opening. I have nothing but great things to say about all of the staff I spoke with and will definitely be going back.
I am new to MN so I took my Outback to Morrie’s as they were highly recommended. The staff was friendly and the dealership was clean. The car was ready fairly quickly.

After my car died, I was told it was the alternator by another shop.. Morries did a complete diagnostic, replaces the battery and valeted the car home, in less than 24 hours for less than 1/3 the cost quoted by the other shops. My Legacy runs beautifully.

I came in for a rattling noise. All they could do in the time they had it was tell me the sound was coming from the cabin and they need more money to continue looking into it with no guarantee that theyd find it. I didnt want to keep paying them for finding no results, so I ended up paying them for a lacking diagnosis; I paid them for nothing.

I waited for my car, was cautious due to restriction that are still on. Waiting room was clean with sanitation signs out. My work was done very quickly, i will go here again and again.
I’m very happy at how easily they got me in to their shop. My car was broken in to and the next day they got me on the schedule and replaced my passenger door glass in 45 minutes. I was offered a quote on my bumper because they noticed my fitment issue and a broken clip. I said yes I would like a quote. When I came to pick the car up they forgot about it and didn’t tell me anything about it. That’s why my review is a 4/5 star. Other than that it’s is great service with very kind people working there.
I brought my Subaru Forester into Morrie’s for diagnostic work on an engine service issue and for likely repairs. The service team quickly found the issue, explained that my best option was far less expensive than I feared, and had me out the door and back on the road more quickly than I expected, and at far less cost. Quick, professional and fair. It was a very good experience.
Im so pleased with Morries service center that Im willing to drive 30 minutes out of my way to bring my Forester to them.The reasons:* They answer their phones promptly rather than leave me listening to endless hold music.* Everyone is attentive and courteous.* Service prices are fair and competitive.* I trust that they are dealing honestly with me. The Subaru dealership closest to me quoted me double the cost for the same service. When I called back to question it they said theyd price match. I dont want to have to feel responsible for keeping a watchful eye in order to be treated ethically.* They dont charge me for unneeded service. I asked for a tire rotation with my oil change. Rather than charge me for it, Jack explained why it wasnt necessary yet at 2,000 miles.
I always enjoy going to the Minnetonka Subaru from buying my car, to car washes, oil changes and anything else that comes up. Yesterday, I had an oil change and had an appointment after that so I was going to cut it close. Great customer service and speed up my oil change so I could get to my next appointment. Just a very friendly environment in every time! Highly recommended this dealership!
