I wanted to take a minute to provide an all-star review of Midas on Wayzata Blvd. I had an urgent issue with my shocks that needed to be checked before leaving for a long trip. Midas got me in to see a mechanic right away and diagnosed (for free) that I didnt have anything to worry about until I got back. I would go to Midas again for general car repair needs and I highly recommend their professional, helpful, timely staff.

Excellent service. I was told it would be 3600 to fix everything. They said it would only 1300 to fix everything necessary. I really appreciated the honesty. I wont go anywhere else for car service.

Ive had my cars services here for about 3 years and it is always a smooth process, good customer service. I particularly appreciate that they dont rush me into new services but simply recommend things for me to make my own decision on in my own time, if my car has any issues they coordinate repairs well with my timeline and budget.

Recently brought in my car because the breaks were grinding. I would highly recommend this Midas team to anyone looking for professional, honest and quick repair work! I really wish I remembered the name of the gentleman who talked me through the process, but he was super helpful in explaining everything. I hope my car is good for a while...but if I need repairs in the future Ill be coming back to this location!

I came here because I found a coupon online. Cheapest synthetic oil change and tire rotation I could find in the area! The staff if very friendly and informative. My vehicle was scheduled for 10:30am and they pulled it in around 10:50am to get started. The place is nice and clean. I am waiting for my car now...

My tire was low on air because of the nail. They offered other locations, and filled up my air with tire. This was because they were too full. Super polite, if I had time I would use them

My flex pipe broke after only 30 ish days of owning our car, the dealership wanted to charge me over $1100 to fix it, Midas fixed it for way cheaper, they were very nice, telling me what they were going to do and gave me options.

I had an issue with my vehicle and called in the morning to see if they could squeeze me in for a repair. Ended up being a brake issue. They were quick to get it fixed, and as a bonus performed an oil change free of charge. Also had it done in time for me to get to work. One of the few times being at at a car shop and not feeling like I was being swindled. Thanks for the fast service!

These people are great! The first place in the Twin Cities that I can trust. I will be bringing my car here for maintenance permanently and I recommend others to do the same. Really happy I found them.

I came in as a return for service for some front end brake work I had done by Midas. My concern was a squeak that occured only when the brakes heated up and during application. I sat in there for an hr and a half and finally someone other than my original service advisor who I spoke to on the phone and checked in with comes out, old lanky fella with glasses. Lanky boi rudely and in a loud condescending tone asks me about the noise I heard. I continued to give him information and before I even finished my full statement he turned his back and walked back out to the shop. Comes back about 30 mins later and tries to tell me that my CAST IRON STEEL steering knuckle is bent, causing the rotor and hub to sit too far inward on the knuckle. He showed me no measurements, no specs or any methods or service procedures to determine this repair. So he tries to re sell me the brake pads, rotors and calipers again, plus, a steering knuckle, wheel bearing w/retaining ring and an alignment. Rusted cast iron on an older vehicle would crack before it would bend. Got my car the heck outta there and re assembled the knuckle and wheel bearing and resurfaced the faces of the rotor. Tell me why my vehicle is back to normal now and didnt replace what they reccomended. I thought my knuckle was bent.

The is an awesome facility that was friendly and inviting the minute I walked in. They helped me take care of my car and the price value I got was awesome. The thing I loved almost as the price was the digital inspections that were sent to my text that let me know what was going on with my car. The one to one basis of how they handled everything show they are customer service focused.

WARNING.if you looking inspection in your car Uber and lyft never come this place because they looking in your car problem so they tell you we have to fix it or you will fail.THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. I have bad experience

My first experience with Midas was a few years ago. The pipe leading to my muffler had rusted through and became detached. I initially spoke to the dealership and they quoted me $1,000 to replace the entire assembly. I spoke to Midas and they informed that they could weld a new piece of pipe to replace the rusted section for only a hundred bucks. Right away, I knew I liked these guys. I have been taking my car to them ever since for everything from oil changes to replacing timing belts. Their prices are always fair, their employees are always friendly and helpful, and unlike other car shops, they dont make up reasons to do extra work on your vehicle. If everything on your car is fine, they will say so.

These guys are great. Had my brake light fixed a little over a year ago (just over the warranty), and it already went out again. Called and they were able to get me in the next day and fixed it free of charge, even though the warranty was slightly expired (by like 2 weeks). THANK YOU!

First time here and I am very impressed!The service was prompt and friendly. They text you your inspection report and it even has pictures of your cars condition! They were honest about what needed doing now and what could wait. So great!Id definitely recommend this shop, and I will be back.

The team here is always so friendly. The keep records of your visits so know what to keep and eye on in the future. Their conventional oil change includes a quick inspection and they go over the details nicely upon pick up. Will definitely keep coming back for the service. Prices are competitive. I love that they dont push the upsell on maintenance you dont necessarily need.

For many years (decades...) Ive been fortunate enough to have Ed & Jon & team keep my cars going. New to old autos, small to big jobs, the service received has always been fantastic and priced fairly. Its a good feeling to have to worry about the vehicles.

They are very honest and will tell you to fix your car or recommend to stop spending so much on it. They are knowledgeable and quick with repairs. I have cars ranging in 4 yrs old to 20 yrs old. We take 4/4 cars at my house to Midas. You can wait for repair or drop it off the night before which works best for me.

They did the job, but it took a lot longer than expected.

Jon and his crew have never steered me wrong. Service has always been thorough, fast and reliable. They answer your questions before you know what to ask and if they see something else wrong with your vehicle, they give you a list of options and recomendations BEFORE working on the vehicle.

I only bring my car here or the dealership. Have used this location for years. Always great service, only have had 1 error in all the years. It was a quick fix.. no harm done to my car. After all we all are human so one slip in 10 years is pretty good.

I took my car to Midas on Wayzata Blvd yesterday for multiple small repairs and some routine maintenance. Because Im heading back to college this week, the work needed to be done right away at a price I could afford. The guys at Midas (Jon and Dave at the front desk, and Dan and Chris the mechanics) did a great job fixing everything very quickly and on short notice. Since I had neglected taking care of the vehicle for most of the summer, and the broken items were adding up, I was planning on a fairly substantial repair bill. However, the guys at Midas fixed all the problems in no time, and the bill was extremely fair. My dad reviewed the bill and all the work that was done and told me that the Midas guys gave me a really great deal and did all the work for less than a dealer would have charged me for just diagnosing the issues. Moreover, everyone at the shop was extremely professional, kind, and courteous. I received incredible service at a great price. All the guys at Midas get a 10+ rating from me, and my dad concurs! I came in to this location after about 10 years at the Coon Rapids location. I have always had great luck with Midas so not surprised how well they took care of me at the Minnetonka location. The entire staff was very friendly and spent extra time on my vehicle trying to figure out where a noise was coming from. Once they determined the source they even recommended I go to a the dealership as it could be covered under warranty. So thrilled to find a place that I can trust and is closer to me after I moved. I definitely recommend this Midas location!

Good place to go. But, way too expensive! $700 more than another reputable auto mechanic. Since, they show you whats wrong with your car and the fact it costs money to take the car down I let them fix my car. Service people are excellent!! I most like will not go back to Midas because they are too expensive and didnt match the quote I received from the other place. I was stuck in a spot where they were going to get my money whether they fixed it or not.

This place is great. Outside of the fact that one mechanic openly supports the Packers, I liked everything about my experience there. If my first mechanic experience was at this store, I would think that all mechanics are out there looking out for your best interest and will do great work accompanied with great service.

I recieved a free oil change voucher in the mail and decided to give Midas a try even though usually Im a Valvoline girl. Amazing customer service and very friendly staff! Jon was great and I will definitely be back.

I had a great experience at this Midas location. They provided me a quote ahead of time that was lower than other shops in the area and still somehow managed to beat it when I actually went in. Everything was explained clearly and they didnt try to add any unnecessary services. I also had a heat issue that they werent able to fix same - day for me, but they offered to do some research to try to see if it was a known issue in order to save me money on labor. In the end, they were unable to find anything, but actually acknowledged that the price for a diagnostic and to pull everything apart could get expensive, and suggested I shop around a bit. I feel that I can really trust a company and manager who is able to acknowledge what theyre not sure about and is willing to potentially lose a chunk of a bill in order to find whats best for the customer.

12-22-17: Went to Midas today to install four new light bulbs on my 2013 Cadillac CTS. It was a somewhat complicated / expensive job because the front bumper must be removed for the installation. Midas did a great job no problem and they did it at a price (with coupons) that was 60% cheaper than the Cadillac dealer, and 27% cheaper than Pep Boys. Hats off to Dan (the Mechanic), and Jon and Lee at the service desk. Another job well-done!I have been going to this Midas service center for 17+ years. My experience with them has been excellent for that entire time. Jon and the other guys at the service counter are always professional, friendly, and honest. 17 years is a long time to test someone, and these guys have never let me down. Furthermore, they always work to help me find the most cost effective solutions to my vehicle problems. And, I have found that their everyday prices are equal to or better than other potential providers. What more can you ask for -- great, honest service, year after year -- at a fair price. These guys are tops in my book!

Friendly service and get the job done, but be sure to schedule ahead.This has become my main go to location for car maintenance and repairs. I first brought my car in for a second opinion on some repairs that another local shop said needed to be done. After Jon (John? Dont know which spelling to use.) had a guy in the shop put the car on the lift to check it out, they found that the said needed repairs didnt exist. This happened a second time a few months later. Both times I wasnt charged for the double-check. Since then I have come to this Midas location to have any work done on the car. I find Jon and his crew to be very helpful, friendly, and get the needed work done in a timely manner.Thanks for keeping me on the road Minnetonka Midas!Update 2018: These guys are still my go to for car maintenance and repair.

I was in town from Madison when my check engine light went on; metering lean was the diagnosis from Autozone on Sunday. Brought it in without an appointment on Monday morning. They took care of me right away, finding that the problem was seeds clogging the air filter and mass flow sensor! They cleaned everything up, test drove it and did a full digital inspection in less than two hours, and charged me under $150.00! Now I can get home on time, and with confidence in my vehicle. I really appreciate their honesty and work ethic. Bring your car here.

I was recently in to have an exhaust installed. I had all the parts, but none of the tools or talent to install. I am the most particular person when it comes to my car (no food allowed, dont scratch any panels (internal and external), watch the paint, etc. The crew at Midas were informed prior to working on the car that I was indeed broken in these ways and they took that to heart.I would return again for sure! Dan did an awesome job with the exhaust and the pricing was more than fair.

I went in to get my brakes fixed. The customer service was awesome and the timing worked out really good for me. I also was able to get a $20 coupon which was really nice. The one thing they need to improve is the coffee in the lobby. The coffee was really bad to say it nicely.

Sometimes its hard to trust your local repair shop, so just think if your visiting from out of town! Good thing John and his team were the nearest garage when I developed a gas leak in my SUV. They not only got my vehicle in the shop right away, but actually gave me a ride to my customer so I wouldnt miss my appointment! A couple hours later all fixed and on the road again. I wish they were near me in Wisconsin...you should consider yourselves lucky to have them!~Tony

I rarely dont trust car repair shops due to bad experiences in the past. My 1st impression was great, no charge to take a look at my car. 2nd impression, they physically showed me the damage/repair needed. 3rd impression, I obviously had multiple issues but they were honest about what needed to be fixed asap. I appreciate their honesty and professionalism.

I came in to Midas after being pulled out of the ditch from hitting black ice. I needed a tire replaced and was also over an hour late to work because of this mishap. They were extremely friendly, fast, and helpful. They got the cheapest tire available that day. When I went back in, the employee greeted me by my first time, enthusiastic and happy. It was so refreshing to have not okay, not good, but GREAT customer service. I would recommend this place to everyone, and will be going back for all my vehicle needs.OH, and being a female I was very impressed that they didnt try the pushy car repair sales pitch on me.

There are pretty honest guys. I just did a car inspection in the morning and they pointed every problems and made a estimate cost list for repairing. Also they helped me to check the KBB value and give me some advices. Just saved me from a trap and my friend was so amazed by their services. Definitely will come back again and do another used car inspection!

This shop is awesome. A Ford dealership near by wanted $1100 for brakes and Midas quoted $640. They then called me back and told me I didnt need new brakes and the car was in great shape. Very honest!

Terrible!! They told me I needed a catalytic converter for $818.00. Took my car to another place, all that was needed was to weld the exhaust for $60.00. Midas tried to RIP me off big time!

Took my 13 year old car here for the first time today. Needed an oil change, tire rotation, and wanted to get my brakes checked - all over my hour lunch break. I made an appointment and they had me in and out in 45 minutes with amazing service! Its clear they care about their customers. Super friendly, thorough, and explained everything they did or needed to do in great detail. Additionally, pricing here is superb, as Midas is always good about only charging you for things you need. This place was no different and my oil change included the tire rotation and was half the price of the place down the street. I will return here every time I need something done on my car!

I brought my vehicle in for a 2nd opinion on some repairs and I was treated well from the very first call. They found out the previous diagnosis from a different shop was incorrect and saved me a lot of money. They even took the time to show me what was going on with my exhaust by taking me under my car and pointing out what was wrong. I felt like I could trust them from that moment on. AMAZING!!! I really cant say enough good things about my experience at Midas. I will be using them for future repairs and maintenance. All employees were friendly and really had my best interest in mind. When entering Midas across from Ridgedale shopping mall. Youll be greeted by John or Dan. Both people are highly trained and very knowledgeable on all year, make and modes of vehicles. Being a retired Master Ford mechanic. I trust no other people in the field, except for John and Dan to meet my automotive repairs and maintenance. They are honest, and their mechanics are very neat and professional. I have no complaints or worries when I bring my vehicles to them. Thank you guys.

It’s like they don’t want your business attitude. Waited in lobby no one came out, so I finally left and then he runs out. I just left. Service has really gone down hill. Everyone is cranky and tries to encourage you to leave. This use to be a great place to bring your car. Not so much anymore.

If I could give zero stars I would. I went into the Plymouth location nervous as my car was making this awful sound. They quoted me over $1,000. (& said I should not drive off the lot) Having a bad feeling and knowing I should get a second opinion, I walked out. I brought my car to a private auto shop that quoted me $300. This place also stated that the parts that Midas said needed to be replaced simply needed to be cleaned.I will not be returning.

THEY ARE HONEST AND FAST!! What an amazing crew of trustworthy, competent, and down-to-earth people. From the moment I spoke with Jon, the manager, I felt like everything was going to be handled. They got my car in and assessed, and within minutes knew what the problem was and had the part to fix it. I will take my car there and no where else. I was terrified that I would get over charged or have to be without my vehicle for days and nothing could have been farther from it. They even have courtesy vehicles if you need one!!! In town on business, had an issue with rear brakes. Found Midas online and had positive reviews over others in area. Took vehicle there at 7amand met Jon. They were open and already working. Explained my situation and need, they accomodated. Truck was done by 11. I can not be more pleased with the service and support they provided.
