Attentive staff. Great food. However, I was not impressed with their Long Island. Tasted watered down. Ive had better
Been going here for a while. The security are always chill. The food is pretty good. The only thing is that it gets really really packed on weekends but if thats youre thing then this is the place for you.
Positive party vibes, turnt up. Beautiful scenery, good energy. Front door security A1. Nice mixed crowd, bar tenders does a great job. Love it
The recent 1 star reviews are simply political inclined ickiness. Ignore the whiners. Great vibes here! Good place to meet up with friends on the weekend too. Keep it up, Blarney’s!
This is the funniest club for people in their 20s, especially students. The vibe in this club is just something else. It is definitely one of my favorite place .
Typical trash place run by conspiracy theorists who cant understand science therefore it isnt real. Joke.
Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. Not very busy. Our server was amazing. My rueben was suoer bad. Dry and crunchy. First time in many years Ive complained. They were great about comping the meal. My other 2 friends enjoyed their meal. However, all 3 of us spent a lot of time in the barhroom that night and following day. Yikes!!
Dirty and not in the good way lmao. Terrible service.
We came to town on a game night expecting it to be very busy. We were sat right away, and our bartender Kavonte was 100% the nicest most attentive service person I’ve encountered in months. Thanks for a great night!
Clean your lines bruh! Beer was sour af!! Beware
Fish n chips was great
Best bar Ive ever been to
Incredibly rude staff. When called out about their Covid safety policies, they went out of their way to comment on a friends personal facebook page and cursed at them as well verbally attacked them. An absolute joke of a business wothout any decorum or grace if you ask me.
Food is terrible and the whole building is super nasty
This is the classic good college bar: cheap beer and food, clean space and young people. If thats what youre looking for, its definitely one of the best places in the Twin Cities! Recommended!
Food was great! Staff was very friendly and welcoming!
Staff looked at us and just ignores us. Ended up leaving after 15 minutes of no service. The place was nearly empty so no excuse. To top it off, the mens room was disgusting. I would have a difficult time eating there is that is how they treat the facilities.
Very nice 2 for 1 on drinks. Pretty quiet on this Mondays. Service was very good -- one bartender, no servers! Kudos to. you, sir!
The food is consistently well prepared and yummy, staff members provides good customer service. I love the cleanliness and ambience. Will come back again.
Mussel appetizer best I have had. Service is Stellar. Taylor our waitress very helpful & knowledgeable of food choices! Great place, top notch food!
Eric is the best bartender ever
The food is great! The staff is so helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond! I had my first date with my fiance there, and we returned for a couple drinks on our anniversary. They reserved our booth even though it was a game day! They even gave us a bottle of champagne. How could the service be better!?
Decent college bar. There bartenders never seemed to know what deals they had going on. They have also been hit hard with health violations. Still worth a visit if you are in town for a game.
Wow the food is incredible, the service is fantastic, the environment is fun, and this is close to the U of M; we went before a couple events were starting and they handled the load really well. Try their appetizers, they are incredible! I had the pulled pork sandwich and waffle fries (an absolute necessity I discovered) and my wife had the buffalo chicken wrap and says it is great! We will return now that we discovered such a great place :-)
Decent interior and good wings, but you cant affiliate it with anything Irish just because Guinness is on tap. Very limited selection of Irish beer and whiskey. Good sports bar, though.
Great bar for college students. Very festive and lively. Also have a surprisingly good lunch and drink are always cheap. Staff is very experienced and have a good attitude.
We went here on a Thursday night for the game of thrones trivia. That was a cool time but some of the answers were wrong. But the food was awesome fish and chips were great. We had the reuben poppers which were good also. They have a decent happy hour but it it. Could be cheaper. All and all good time!
Great college bar with surprisingly good food for lunch. Friendly and experienced staff, especially on holidays. 5 star college bar, 4 star bar&grill
Had an extremely unpleasant experience here - been here 4+ times and have had decent experiences in the past, but for the first time I spun their famous wheel only to land on ‘H2O’, - a $9 charge of 3 cups filled with Coors Light. I guess I get the joke- that Coors is water- however I wanted to spin again and refused to pay the $9. While trying to explain to the bartender that I wanted to buy a proper drink, my friends and I were aggressively THROWN OUT.While I was acting cooperatively and trying to discuss with the bartender, I was aggressively tossed out of the establishment with my friends. I wanted to write this review to for-warn those who wish to have a spontaneous night.
Lots of good choices on the food our waitress was very attentive prices for drinks with are good and love the fireplace to warm up at.One last thing : Its in small print on menus but dont forget to ask for the 20% student discount... With ID
They were doing open mic stand up which was very fun. Also, they have a wheel you can spin with some very interesting shots on there.
Food was very tasty! Service was a little slow, but friendly. Fun atmosphere for watching U of M sports! On campus and they can accommodate groups of people. Its a college bar. Parking can be sort of a nuisance since its on campus. It gets busy on game days.
Ihad a late lunch with two friends. Service was very good. Atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. I and my guests felt photos good above-average. Everything presented in a very attractive appetites inspiring manner. All and all a most enjoyable experience.
This place is alright. I really love their breakfast pizza, but everything else Ive had has only been good. Not bad, but not great, just a good Irish pub.
Service was inexcusably terrible. We showed up around 7:30pm on a Sunday with only three other patrons present. It took 30 minutes for our meals to arrive (fish and chips and a burger, hardly lengthy cooking times on either one) and we didnt see our server once during that time. No water refills, we werent asked if we wanted another drink, nothing. Had half a mind to pay for the drinks and leave. The food itself made up for some of our disappointment. It was absolutely terrific. Best fish and chips Ive had in the U.S.Bottom line, I wouldnt go back for a nice evening, but if I were really craving that particular meal I might take the time.
Blarney’s is a fun place to go. During the day there are good happy hour deals. There aren’t very many deals at night though. They have events during the week like Kareoke. One thing that makes me sad is that they don’t serve Bloody Mary’s at night EVER 😅🥺 plz start serving bloodies at night thanks
The most recent time Ive been here was last week and I literally just came from the airport after 10 days in Iceland without a solid meal since before I left. I was ravenous and jet lagged after I had been up for over 24 hours so I tracked down a waitress (I was very impatient) and she received me with open arms and a lovely smile despite my desperation. Immediately she whipped out a menu and helped me decide what I wanted. Outstanding service! The food came quickly and was absolutely delicious like usual! The burger was a bit overdone for my taste but it was nevertheless the best meal I had had in 10 days. Wonderful!
Nice place to go before the football game. We were away fans and were treated with respect and hospitality.
Got breakfast here and it was pretty tasty, good price too. It was earlier in the day so it was pretty empty, and only one server was working. She was very prompt with our service.
Blarney is a great place to go for classic American food. Lunch specials are always fantastic and the pizza is surprisingly good 👌
Great college atmosphere. Had the cherry pulled pork quesadidas and were awesome. Prompt service. Very large place to meet your friends for an event. We took the Blarney bus to the hockey game down the road. It brought us to the door and also offers to pick you up after.
The prices are good for food and drinks. I love their buffalo chicken wrap. There cheese curds are more like cheese golf balls, but they are delicious. The service is slow and a lot of overly intoxicated college students. I stay away from there when school is in session.
Didnt eat anything there, but had a nice time dancing and listening to music with my best friend. Although the crowd is of mostly college students, the music and drinks were on point! Overall, this is a nice place to go on a Saturday night.
Full of students. Nice staff. Drinks specials every night. Can get crowded on weekends. Always a good place to start or end your night. Sometimes cool live music!
Went to listen to live music. Very good music and great food. Had their fries, margherita pizza, and wings. All delicious.
Good place to hangout with friends.
Omg! I came in and asked for a chocolatey dessert drink. Colleen made this amazing cocktail and topped it off with whipped cream, it was better than I imagined! Thanks for wonderful customer service! You made my night!
Food was average. the chicken fingers and fries were good. The pizza was ok. The happy hour deals are definitely a bargain. Service can be slow. There are likely better options nearby, but of youre not in a hurry and want standard bar fare this is a fine spot.
Loved the downstairs bar area. We felt very welcome there even as Penn State fans
Ate lunch here. The shepherds pie was delicious. The crust was very delicate, kind of seemed like maybe it was Filo dough. We also drank Bloody Marys, I highly recommend that as well. Perfect lunch combo.
Can never seem to get a server when I sit at tables and the daytime bartender once had to get her manager to come make an old fashioned for me but otherwise the drinks here are cheap and the atmosphere is fun if you know what to expect. The food isnt really worth it here either but who comes here to eat, right?
Food was good waitress was great but the had only 2 people working and it took almost 1 hour to get our good
I hate to share this, but their breakfast is fantastic. I feel like its been my secret for weeks and I hesitate to let others in on it. Its usually not very full in the morning and the food is terrific. I had blueberry pancakes that were stuffed with berries. My wife had the egg sandwich and it was perfect. Toasted just right. We just blundered into it one morning when other places in Dinky Town were full.
Last time I went here on a Saturday night the bartender was hammered in the back bar and could barely function. Drinks are usually slow and they have a minimum fee for cards and price rails in a way that youre forced to buy two drinks at a time if using a card. I will admit the food is very good and its a good place to go and go eat or get drinks during the day, but it is very crowded and absolutely terrible at night. Unfortunately everyone still goes here because its one of the few bars in Dinkytown and the only one with a decent dance floor. If not for its location this bar would have gone out of business a long time ago.
Exactly what you would expect - Lots of young people enjoying themselves ‐ plenty of Sports - Good Food - Cold Beer.
Great bar for gopher games. Awesome food the wings are the best
Pretty much what you would expect in a college bar. If you go in after 11 pm expect to have a tough time moving around. Can take a while to get up to the bar to order at that time as well. Food is actually pretty solid if youre there during the daytime. I ordered a juicy Lucy and was pleasantly surprised.
Fun atmosphere and great service. The chili was wonderful! I was here for a fundraiser that had bands playing throughout the night. Fun evening.
Hated this place
In town from Texas. Tried to eat at the famous place across the street but they were packed. I had a Bloody Mary and the Eggs Benedict and they were both great.
Just good. Friendly staff and have all drinks you need. Also feels safe here.
Went twice in 2 days. Food is good, beer is a bit over priced. Service is slow.
Awesome experience! Their Rueben appetizers are NOT appetizers, but a full fledged meal unto itself!...incredibly service, and the best looking waitresses in ALL of Minneapolis !
Delicious food. Nice atmosphere.
Casual for a larger place. Sat at the bar with a friend and enjoyed the atmosphere.
Website says beer is $2 off for happy hour, but they actually charge full price. Lame.
Food and the server was good, but the service was so slow, they seemed short-staffed
Excellent bartenders, really cool split level environment, club-ish main/upper floor low key/fantastic bar downstairs
Ladies drink free on Wednesdays, great beer and drink choices, food is phenomenal, nice music; everything youd want in a college bar! Its a great place to be on any given weekend night 😁
Awesome atmosphere! Plus a great band was playing tonight,! Excellent happy hour deals too!
No Trump attire whatsoever. I can understand how people may have gotten into unnecessary altercations because one of them doesnt like Trump but to put a ban on the gear altogether is tacky. The rule could have been written no political attire and it would have been fine but singling out Trump gear is taking a political stance.Been to Blarney my entire college career at the U of M but it looks like thats coming to an end.
Great happy hour and drink prices
Good burger - great neighborhood location- lots of TVs and yes a good beer selection
Convenient for students. Impersonal environment when having a solo drink or just with one pal. Pour could be better for a $5 rail.
Had a less-than-stellar meal but very quickly after reviewing the place they reached out and corrected things as best as possibly could be done. The place might have its hiccups, but they also try to ensure every guest has a good experience. The walls were adorned with some really good deals for Mondays and Tuesdays too, if youre looking to get hella drunk on the cheap.
Great food, great happy hour, decent service
Im rating it a 3- star based on a single luncheon. The service was excellent. Not a complaint at all about it. Add for the food though, it just wasnt that good. Neither my wife, 2 children or myself cared for their meals. It wasnt awful, but honestly I will not be going back. The onions were extremely greasy and had a fishy flavor to them, like they oil they were cooked in ws old and had fried way to much fish in it.... the blarney burger flavor just didnt do it for me either. As for the ruebens, they seemed a bit bland and came with very little sauce. Seemed like a fun college atmosphere, but as for the food, which Im grading here, I think it came up short.
A great game day haunt.
Great time, and lots of fun, even for a couple of Badger fans!
Pretty decent college bar. Great deals, especially on Thursday nights.
Food is creative but meh at best. Service was a slow, but maybe they were understaffed. We waited about 30min after we finished eating to cash out
Great food and great dive bar atmosphere
Never been here for food, though I must say this is usually the favorite bar out of the Library, Burrito Loco, and Blarneys itself for a wild night. Its actually my least favorite of the three because the music is so loud and its always overcrowded. If you are here on Halloween or New Years, forget it and go to one of the others because the queue will be the worst thing youve ever experienced, waiting outside in the cold Minnesota air.
Food was decent. Slow service. It took 20 mins to get refills and another 20 for the check. There was flies everywhere.
The reuben eggrolls were amazing. Everything else was just eh. The salad was terrible.
The burgers are fantastic. The tap selection is decent.
Stopped for a drink and dessert before a comedy show at the varsity theater. Service was ok but not the best for the few tables that were there.
Used to be fun on Saturday nights. Not anymore. They seem to be making sure to get rid of the hip hop scene/people.
Good place to stop if you are hanging out in Dinky town by the U of M.
The food was and Annie our waitress was excellent!
Rude staff and bartenders. Expensive drinks for hardly any alcohol in your drink
The basement space is nice, I wish they had a few more tap options but overall solid
Blarneys has been going downhill recently since the KK was put in... Blarneys used to let you order take out over the phone, now they dont do that anymore... Well that was disappointing
This place has great vibe.. good for weekend hangout around university
Always something going on. Very young crowd, early 20s. Cool that they have DJs during the week and believe me it gets packed on Wednesday nights. They have ladies night on Wednesdays too, ladies drink free 11-12. Weekends are unbearable because its shoulder to shoulder. Cant speak for food, never eat there.
