Great overall experience with new AC installation. Dan and Bob were on time, great and put in the new system in just a couple of hours. They explained everything to me and answered extra questions I had. And when they left, no mess or indication that a whole new system had been installed other than my house was finally cool and the humidity was gone. These guys are pros! Thank you.

We had Kelly some out to service our A/C unit and were very happy with his professionalism and ability to patiently answer our questions. Everything was seamless- from calling Burkhardt to make the appointment (the lady who scheduled us was also very kind and professional), to scheduling and communicating arrival time.Burkhardt gave us a window of time for the tech to arrive, but the day before they were nice enough to let us know a narrowed down time, and Kelly called us the morning of to let us know he was 10-15 min out. Chris called ahead and arrived on time for annual boiler tune up. He took time to answer questions about the possibility of a new thermostat and AC options. In fact, he offered the best price options for, and installed an updated thermostat while on site. Ive had good experiences with Burkhardt over the years.

I arranged for a routine maintenance on my AC and as Kelly began to work on it he noticed my fan worked but not the compressor, after further review and my many questions, we were alerted that we may have air but not to its highest capacity and that is because the compressor did not work. After further investigation and many more questions Kelly was able to repair and make our AC great again. I am appreciative of his work and the informational teachings he provided. He is a bit shy, but he was awesome

We called Burkhardt because we were having trouble with our Air Conditioner. I appreciate that they werent just quick to come for something that we could have addressed on our own, like a filter change, and they wanted to make sure that we werent paying for unnecessary service. After walking us through a few things to check, they determined that it was best to send out someone for our problem. Elliot was very nice and quick to identify the issues. He explained all the options and helped us make the right decision on how to move forward and even made some cost saving suggestions that I really appreciated. We had a scheduled service done on our AC unit. Kelly determined that it was probably from the late 1980s. While its still working and doing its job, it uses the old and expensive coolant. We will have them give us an estimate on a new unit.The scheduling and notification for the appointment was great. Kellys service and advice were great. Two service professionals arrived in the anticipated window. They called before arrival with a 15 minute arrival estimate. They checked the gas furnace and cleaned the burners, changed the furnace filter with one we provided. In addition to the seasonal service they installed a humidifier and an UV light. They suggested a location for the add-ons based on how we easily we could move around the new pieces. They thoroughly explained how everything worked and gave a brief demonstration The company accepts credit card payment at the time of service.We signed up for the Signature Club which provides 3 years of heating & air conditioner service for the pre-paid price of 2 yearsI would highly recommend this company

We moved and asked Burkhardt to perform maintenance on our AC unit and heater to get an assessment of age, potential future issues, and tune anything up that could be improved. After working on them, Kelly took a lot of time to educate me about both units, as well as how the airflow works in the basement with the pre-existing humidifying unit. The time was appreciated! I also didnt have to ask him to wear a mask as he always wore one in and out of the house (Ive had issues with this with people from other companies).

We reached out to Burkhardt to diagnose and repair problems with our thermostat. The technician who serviced the call, Elliot was the consumate professional. He spent time diagnosing and resolving the issue, was professional in terms of wearing booties to protect our flooring and cleaning up after the job. He was clear in communication explaining what the issue was and the resolution. In summary we would use Burkhardt again and would highly recommend them along with Elliot.

Sunday night our air conditioner was not working, called the office Monday morning and a technician was on the way within 2 hours. Shawn fully explained the options and cost estimates of repairing or replacing a 17 year old air conditioner. 15 min and two parts later we have a cool house again!

He pointed out to me the necessity of having a surge protector installed and showed me the reasons why. He installed the surge protector in a very workman like manner.. Tested everything. This was a great experience for a weekend repair. Elliot was very helpful and provided a couple of options for repair. My recommendation is to have your yearly maintenance done.

This place is horrible. Had such a bad experience with them. First they charged ridiculously high prices. I had a $10 item that took less than 10 minutes to install and charged me close to $400. We tried to ask the tech about it and he said - do you want me to take it out and you can do it yourself??Then we tried very nicely to call the office and just discuss their pricing. We were not rude or angry. As soon as we mentioned pricing, they hung up on us. We called back and asked to talk to a manager or owner, they sad - he’ll just tell you the same thing. And sure enough, we got someone on the phone (who said he was the owner, but according to the website he was the manager) and he also hung up on us. We were not trying to get out of the bill, just discuss how they come up with the price and maybe get a little discount since $400 for 10 min is out of line.I seriously have never had such a horrible experience with a company. Zero customer service after they get your money!!I could go on about this experience, but I’ll end it here.

Elliott came out on time and was friendly but professional. He was there for an air conditioner tune-up and did a very complete inspection with photographs to show me parts that should be replaced. He explained everything very well. And a possible option to get a new unit and why. The unit is 25 years old. There was not any pressure and he gave me the prices. I was very satisfied with Elliotts work and if I have the work done would want Elliott and Burkhardts to do the work.

Used Burkhardt to come and fix AC as compressor wasn’t kicking on. Serviceman came on time and fixed capacitor. Service was great. Price falls in with all others. Unit is not new but will last now for a few more year.

I was having issues with my furnace/thermostat, I called and was able to set up a diagnostic appointment for later the same afternoon. Kelly, the service tech, was able to quickly diagnose the problem and go over several options going forward. Initial service was on a Friday and I was able to get a follow up appointment booked for Monday.

We called for eval of AC sounding louder lately but operating well. We had lost some refrigerant over 9 years and replaced. System was checked out. Furnace fan speed increased to push more cold air in the house. Eliott also took the time to discuss furnace filter options and showed a way to get the 4 inch filter out easier.Eliott was very professional, easy to deal with, no pressure and explained everything very well. He showed respect for us and our property.With some discounts but also included a Fall system check just more than a recent dentist visit for 2 wisdom teeth extractions so maybe 1/2 star off but rating as 5 star because of Elliott. Shawn arrived on time and diagnosed the issue, and was able to give us different options to address it.

Scheduled my appointment for 3-5 online got a text saying the service tech would be there between 1-3pm for some reason. I called and asked why my appointment was moved up because I wouldn’t be home until 3 and the lady I talked to said no problem I’ll make sure they are there by 3 at the earliest. I get a call at 1:18 saying the service guys were close and would be there soon. I was confused since my appointment was 3-5pm like I had confirmed on the phone. I tried calling 3 times and no one picked up until the 3rd call I made. I told the lady I was confused why the techs showed up at my house because I had called earlier saying I scheduled it from 3-5 not 1-3 she said their normal operating hours ended at 3?? How was I able to schedule my appointment then? Also since I have a camera doorbell I was able to hear the techs talk poorly about me and laugh at me so I will not be using this service ever.

Called on Burkhardt twice in the last month, first to install a whole home humidifier and then to fix my furnace which needed a new gas valve. The gas valve they installed at first was somewhat defective but still worked (something about calibrating it). They couldve told me it was done and just moved on but instead made sure to get a replacement part that worked fully and re-installed that. They are responsive, professional and provide high quality honest service. Highly recommended.

I appreciated their attention to customer service including their reminder call about my appointment and coming on time. They were very professional however their equipment used to clean the ducts is lacking. They brought in their state of the art vacuum that was very light in weight and light on power. It might be ok to dust your ducts out, but not really clean them out. There was still a decent amount of debris left in the ducts after they were finished, but at least most of the dust was gone.

I had Elliot out to fix my ac which was acting up. He was super prompt (literally showed up 20 min after my svc call) and diagnosed and fixed my issue within 15 min. Super professional and would ask for him specifically if I ever needed work again.

My furnace started making this weird airplane kind of noise (here n there-when the heat would kick ON) and it was older & shabby & getting cold. So i just had Burkhart come to give us a free estimate on what a new one would cost. Doug asked my home comfort needs & went over the options and we worked a whole house humidifier in the installation package as well as a new thermostat.This is a great company with genuine people & I look forward to hopefully adding central air later this year.

I have an old boiler and it has been performing just fine, but needed an inspection since it’s been a couple years. The gentleman arrived in the time frame he mentioned he would. Even gave my husband a call when he was on his way. He was courteous and professional + efficient. In and out within a very reasonable amount of time. So long as his diagnosis holds true, I would recommend to friends and family. I will be sure to update in a few months time so you have my final conjecture. Otherwise, great work all around!

I had a new furnace and central AC installed in April 2020. Sean, my technician, came out for the first yearly maintenance of the AC. Sean showed me the air filter and suggested that the clumps of fluff probably indicate there is a buildup along the inside of the ducts. He was right. He showed me a digital image of the dirty insides of my ducts. He scheduled a cleaning for 2 months from now.

My Aunt had a no heat issue and had Burkhardt come out for a service fee of 149.95. They found failed secondary heat exchanger. She contacted me because they wanted 600.00 to replace part and felt pressured to replace a 12 year old furnace.Did some checking and part and labor are covered by Carrier/Bryant. BEWARE!! Do not give your credit card info to them over the phone. They overcharged me w/o telling me what they did and why. Then once I complained about the bill, they sent a invoice weeks later instead of after the service. And lied to me stating I gave them “credit limit.” No human being would give any business a credit limit. Do not trust them!!

Called Burkhardt Heating & Cooling for maintenance and check-up of central air, furnace and basement heat boiler (have used their service once before a number of years ago). Service tech Dennis arrived for appointment at time promised. Completely checked all units and determined that all units in good working order except that furnace heat exchanger was cracked necessitating remediation (probably new furnace) – disappointing news but appreciate thorough evaluation with safety in mind. Appreciated the professional and quality service. Pricing for service was reasonable and slightly less than other companies called. Would use and recommend their service again.

The previous homeowners used Burkhardt and I continued with the company. I tried a different company in a Pinch, with disappointing results. I’ve now been working with them for 15 years. My service call today was with Dennis. As with all of their techs he was prompt and kind. The techs always leave everything tidy and are willing to answer questions. Pricing is fair and seasonal special pricing offers help offset the cost of routine maintenance; something appreciated during these difficult times. The company always follows up with a Thank You card which is a nice touch in this age of technology. Highly recommend.

My experience with the company was excellent. The only problem that I had was miss communication with the receptionist. Our then that it was great Im still waiting on my parts to be ordered so the tech can replace the parts.

I have used a couple different companies to service my Heating and AC. Price gouging was an ongoing problem with the other companies. I called Burkhardt and they charged me $25 less for my filter. They also taught me how to replace my Aprilaire 501 filter so I can save even more money in the future. There is a lot to be said for trust and confidence in a company. Burkhardt has won my business because they are professional, on time, honest & fair. I suggest giving them a call before your next maintenance call and see for yourself!

During the standard maintenance, we got the heads-up that there were cracks in the furnace, and it would need replacing. Thanks to our having this work done in late summer, well have plenty of time to get the furnace replaced before winter. Dennis also gave us advice on how to prevent mice from nesting in the A/C unit in the future. Very happy with the service

Burkhardt installed a new boiler a few years ago. This appointment was for a check up and servicing. They were able to accommodate our schedule. Kelly called ahead and arrived on time. He answered all our questions and concerns and explained what he’d done. He also fixed a small vibration in one of the pipes.

Burkhardt has been super responsive and professional every time we called them. Their techs are outstanding, they explain things clearly and answer all questions patiently and thoughtfully, and are respectful of being in a strangers home. Dennis was our tech today, and he was great - made sure to find out if our cats are runners so he could take extra care going in and out of the house. Office staff are genuinely friendly, put up with my chattiness, and make sure all appointments are confirmed and kept. And their prices are reasonable. We replaced our 24-year-old Magic Chef (!) HVAC system with Burkhardt a couple years ago, and the new system is super nice. I recommend Burkhardt very, very highly.

Furnace was old so part would be between $1500 and $1700 if they could find it and it might take some time. Since that was expensive I could get a new furnace for $4200.I said i would have to let him know.When I got to my computer i found the part instantly for $250.Capital Heating is offering a new furnace and central Air for $3700Paid $200+ for diagnostic and attempted rip off. Feel ripped off and will be sure to tell everyone of my experience.
