Ive had back issues for years and when my lower back went out recently, my friend had suggested I see Mike here. I had gone to urgent care first, but was not taken seriously- the doctor there made me feel bad and I was out of there in less than 10 minutes. I wish I had just seen Mike and avoided the horrible bedside manner at urgent care. Mike did a very thorough exam and listened to me.I felt better instantly after his care, he had a good attitude and I felt comfortable. I also want to add that just yesterday I had another incident and I emailed him right away, he responded very fast and I got in the same day. That appointment also went great! Definitely check out Conflux if you need help. I highly recommend it!
I was referred to this place (Jim in particular)by a friend and they met all my expectations. He took his time evaluating me and genuinely wanted to help me feel better. Would definitely recommend. Great guy & good conversation throughout the process as well👍👍
The first thing you notice when you walk in is the attention to detail. Ive been Crossfitting for 5+ years and like to visit new gyms when I am traveling from Denver or visiting family & friends. Conflux is one of the diamonds in the rough. The space is clean and has great equipment. I was immediately welcomed by Jim, one of the owners, who is also a knowledgeable PT and skilled Crossfit coach. Jim gave me some personal tips for my lifting; insightful feedback that I appreciate. Hes got a long background in rehabbing Crossfit athletes and years of experience helping people live a healthy, active life! The workout out was solid, Jim even tweaked it a little for what I was looking for. I could imagine him appropriately scaling the workout movements for newcomers or athletes with injury. The gym has a cool customizable layout with a couple of rigs and lots of floor space. It even has two bathrooms with showers!Mill Creek Crossfit has everything you look for in a good gym. If I was living in the PNW, I would gladly call it home base, but I look forward to returning soon!
Conflux Physical Therapy is a great place to go if you are looking for competence, knowledge, and fantastic patient care. I can only recommend Dr. Mike B. who has helped me over the years with my hyper flexibility and a partial shoulder dislocation among other things, and just recently with my IT band that caused me major problems. He goes beyond any other physical therapist I have seen in the past. He responds quickly to concerns and questions; adapts to your unique situation; analyzes the health concern thoroughly to give the best prognosis and treatment plan; explains findings in laymen’s terms, and provides exercises that fit your personal abilities. I am thankful to have found such a competent, caring and funny PT!
My friends and family can attest that after one session at Conflux, I will never go to another Physical Therapist! From the moment I walked in the door, I was impressed. Jim Shepherd took the time to really listen to me, understand the issues I needed to address, and walk me through practical and achievable solutions to become pain-free. He showed me that I do not need to live with my pain and gave me simple tools to heal. Jims approach is holistic, in that he considers the whole body, but also targeted and effective. After my very first visit with him, I already felt better than I had when I walked in. I cannot recommend Conflux highly enough!
Conflux PT is the best! Dr. Mike is awesome. I have seen Dr. Mike many times for different injuries from a pulled hamstring, to my neck and shoulder pain and knee pain. Each visit Dr. Mike takes the time to listen to my issues. Dr. Mike comes up with stretches and exercises that I can do at home that fit into my schedule. I dont feel overwhelmed with a list of things to do when I leave, as I have at other PT places. This place is the best! I highly recommend if you need a great PT or a great CrossFit gym please check out Conflux. You will not be disappointed.
After seeing multiple physical therapists, and even an orthopedic surgeon, about my constant knees pain...I was blessed to find Jim Shepherd! After a very comprehensive and thorough evaluation followed by a few informative sessions, Jim referred me to the perfect surgeon who performed minor surgery on both my knees to help correct my non-ideal anatomy after I had been told by the first surgeon that I should just give up all the activities I love! As an avid endurance athlete who thought I needed to spend hours a week in the gym to stay fit, he was able to educate me on the advantages of short intense workouts that are actually easier on my knees and would get me better results.I have now been doing CrossFit for 4 years. In that time I have had two babies and worked out until a couple of days before both their births. I am in the best shape of maybe my entire life. I have gone to Jim about postpartum wrist and hip issues. And now he is helping my prepare for a 4 day hiking adventure in Italy this summer! He is so knowledgeable, but more than anything, he is so very passionate about the human body and how it works. You will not find a more dedicated physical therapist! Thank you Jim Shepherd!
CrossFit -Wonderful experience! Great detail and emphasis are put on good technique and proper scaling of the movements for each persons capabilities.Physical Therapy - Jim has expertly helped me through many old injuries and I highly recommend Conflux PT to everyone.
Dr. Mike Baginski has helped me on multiple occasions, notably with physical therapy for neck and shoulder issues I was having a couple of years ago, and has helped me improve my overall mobility and lifting form. He is also excellent at suggesting exercises, and scaling options if needed, that focus on any areas that are causing problems.Conflux is an excellent space, and is the only business I know of that combines Crossfit methodology with professional physical therapy under the same roof. I have already suggested Conflux and Dr. Mike to multiple friends.
Wheres the 6th star?! PT clinic AND CrossFit gym in the same building is incredible.I am proud to call Mill Creek CrossFit my home gym. A great community, nice clean space, 2 bathrooms with showers, plenty of equipment, and coaches who are experts of movement which gives them the ability to scale or change ANY movement or workout to an individuals needs. Whether being new to CrossFit, seasoned/salty vet, coming back from an injury or some other form of setback, Jim and Mike can help you get the fitness youre after.I have no shortage of good things to say about Conflux. Having Conflux Rehab at the same place is exponentially helpful. As someone who likes to resolve potential issues BEFORE they become injuries (I like to call it PREhab) Ive been seen by both Dr. Jim and Dr. Mike on many occasions. Their knowledge base, critical thinking, and ability to get to the root of the real issue, are all astounding. They have a real passion for helping people who want to get better, and it shows. If you want to stay active, or want to get BACK to BEING active, they can absolutely help.
Go see Jim Shepherd at Conflux Physical Therapy! Jim is passionate about helping clients achieve peak physical health and providing holistic care—combining an immense knowledge of physiology with an appreciation of the importance of clients’ emotional health on their overall wellbeing. I feel truly cared for and encouraged in reaching optimal health when being treated by Jim.
Jim Shepherd is a true master at what he does. Jims knowledge of the human body is astounding. Jim has helped me heal a lifelong neck instability with simple exercises that I do at home. He has treated me for hip pain and with his recommendations for movements for me to do at home, I am back to regular exercise. Jim is compassionate. There is no judgement. You do not feel that you have to be a super star athlete when you go to his clinic, which is beautiful, by the way. He always has such helpful insights to what is going on with my anatomy. As a woman, 60 years of age, my fitness goal is to stay as strong as possible while dealing with some issues stemming from osteoporosis and fibromyalgia. Jim is helping me address these issues so that I can continue to do yoga, go running, enjoy medium difficult hikes this summer and just enjoy being physical and working out to stay strong. I am very grateful to have found Jim Shepherd to guide me through some difficult issues. I highly recommend Jim and Conflux Physical Therapy and Functional Fitness for anyone who is active and dealing with a minor ache, pain or something more serious.
Conflux is a great gym and home to great PTs. Jim helped me when I kept rolling my ankle and sparining my calf when hiking. He prescribed me some simple exercises and I havent had the problem since. Im a big climber and I feared that I wouldnt be able to keep it up if I kept hurting myself in the process. Now that Jim has a gym, Ive been getting into Crossfit. Its an awesome workout of course, but more fun when its with people who are just fun to be around. The gym is clean and the schedule is convenient. Win, win.
Mike was able to identify an issue Id been dealing with and help me get back on the path to healthy exercise.
Dr. Mike has helped me through multiple back injuries and through knee pain recently and has always been professional and accommodating to my needs and has given me alternative movements when I was unable to perform the recommended movement. This is the best place in mill creek if you are looking for a Crossfit gym and/or physical therapy.
Im very picky about who I use to help fix my body, with that said I recommend Jim and Mike to everyone I know!
