Super glad to find these guys! a friend referred me after a horrible haircut I got at a self proclaimed best barbershop in midvale. The quality and cut I got at Bernies was worth every penny. If you care about your look, go here. I take pride in my style and I have found my home!

I got my haircut done by Jae today and I’m extremely impressed by the quality of her work, she’s very professional and not only that, she’s by far the best barber I’ve had in Utah. She was able to execute a clean fade and a nice design on the side. I’ve received many compliments about my haircut so far and even have my friends asking me who my barber was! Edwin made sure I was completely satisfied with my haircut for my wedding. I initially went, and though the haircut looked good, it wasn’t exactly what I wanted. When I called later to see about changing it, Edwin had no hesitation about me coming back in to make sure it was exactly what I wanted for my big day.

I had planned on trying a couple different places to see who I liked the best, but this was the first and only shop I looked at. Not bad for trimming and haircuts. They arent great and you can get about the same quality for less at Great clips. I told him specific things to make sure of cutting my hair and my beard and he didnt do it right. when he said how does it look I mentioned them again so he could clean it up but he still didnt get it right. I had to finish trimming both when I got home. Definitely not worth the money.UPDATEthanks for replying to me personally, bernie. I wish I had waited for you since you were free halfway into my cut. I ended up shaving most of the beard a month later but it was because my wife had enough. Changing to 5 stars since you apologized and acknowledged. I may come back to have my chin cleaned up when its longer. I loved the hot oil straightening my curls. Also the next time I went to Great Clips and ate my words. The fade is shaved so high on one side that I didnt notice because of the style she had. I have to have a weird comb-over to hide it because she made it look bald when it isnt. I think youre actually worth the $5 more now. Sorry for the original post.

I love this place!! I had no idea there were honest to goodness “barbers” still around. The way Berni trimmed my beard incredible. Haircut, perfect. Moving to Utah from New York I had 2 really big concerns, one regarding where I was about to order pizza from. And two, finding a barbershop I can trust to keep me looking right. Bernie and Bro’s is exactly that, so much so that since my first cut I haven’t gone anywhere else since and it’s over a year strong now. Each barber can give you really any fade you want and make it look clean all while in a classic barbershop environment. I don’t know why this barber shop is highly rated but here’s my experience. The people were nice but when it came to my hair cut it was so bad I went straight home and gave myself a buzz cut. They gave me a fade that crept up the top of my head so it look like I had a oval of hair on top of my head, I was furious and quickly left.

I have gone to previous barber shops with my oldest son, who is very picky on how he wants his hair faded. Other barbershops didn’t really listen to my sons needs and he felt very discouraged going back and didn’t like how his hair looked. I’m honestly really happy with the cut I got by Jae at B&B. My hair feels and looks just how I wanted it. Also, a big problem for me is the cut doesn’t look the same after I’ve washed it and gotten it ready for the day but it wasn’t a problem this time. Looks even better now actually. I love Bernie and Bros., I’ve been going there for a couple of years now and my barber Edwin always comes through. Doesn’t matter how raggedy I look I always leave feeling like a million bucks! They do fades, tapers, trims and everything in between.

This was great! This is like the small town barber shops you see in movies. I particularly appreciated:-Punctuality, Bernie was ready for me when I arrived for my appointment (this is important to me so I had scheduled at the beginning of the day)-Online Booking, I was able to schedule myself online, and see all of the options with price and how much time it would take.-Reminders, I received both a confirmation email and reminder text-Beard trim, my beard looks great, Bernie did a much better job than I do.-Skilled, I keep a pretty vanilla haircut, and I could tell they specialize in styles that are more intricate and require more skill. Getting home I can see that Bernie, noticed that I did not request a specific neckline cut (I prefer to let an expert decide), and she went ahead with a skin fade. I think it looks great, and a great way to introduce me to what they can do.-Local, without a local premium. This is locally owned and operated, but I appreciate that it did not feel like I was paying a premium for that, just paying for good service.-Friendly, the shop was full with 4 barbers working when I was there, and their friendly banter was fun to be around, and certainly entertaining.I usually cut my hair myself, but I I got my haircut for my wedding pictures, and I plan to come back before my wedding day. I will probably keep cutting my hair myself, but I will be back here when I need it done right.

Jae did such a good job cutting my hair, it was very uneven from one side being shaved she evened it all out and definitely made me feel better about myself!

Hair cut was fair but one side was longer then the other and noticed after I had already left. Did not feel safe with covid due to one of the barbers not wearing a mask and feel that they should be more protective of there customers health. When asked arent you required to wear a mask? Barber said he was the exception and laughed. There was also other customers in shop not wearing mask. Also felt a little ignored.

I came here and got a fade with Jae the first week I moved out to Utah. Everybody in the shop is so personable and easy to chat with. When I went in, Jae sat me down and did a FIRE job. This place is the cats pajama! The bees knees! Also a lot of ex-military and military come here and I guess you could say - feels like a home where I guess you could say. We sit back smoke and joke.... We arent actually smoking but you get the idea. The haircuts make you look like a Greek god who just took a bath in ambrosia. The conversation is always good here.

So I’m a type of person that is very picky with my barbers. This is because I have very thick hair and most barbers have struggled to give me a good fade. I’ve tried barber shops from West Valley, South Jordan, Provo, Salt Lake, Sandy (Mall) and at Lehi. I was told that I’m not faithful to my barbers but as I mentioned above I am very picky. I pay good money and in return I would like a good cut. Not so long ago I drove by Bernie & Brothers and hell what a coincidence it was. Walked in and they welcomed me. I told myself that it doesn’t matter if it’ll turn out good or bad I just need a cut. I took @jae_irons_fade chair and oh lawd it was glorious! Right after that cut I never went to other barbers in Utah but to Bernie & Brothers. Jae is very good and I mean it, she is so good that I have become her number customer as I will hit her up every time I am in Utah. Follow her on Instagram amd I promise she will not disappoint.
