First, let me say that this office is great! I went in a while back with questions about Invisalign. I had a previous dentist but looked up G & J due to my belief that I needed “cosmetic” work. Little did I know that this place does it all.My first impression of the office was good. It’s very clean as well as a friendly staff. At the time, COVID was starting to pick up so we were all in ninja masks. But I perceived a smile and pleasantness with everyone. All of my questions were answered thoroughly and my treatment was set up right away. I also got to meet the dentist (Dr. J). He was nice and knowledgeable. It consisted of 2 visits. The first visit was a scan of my teeth. The second was a discussion and computer presentation of the treatment. But most importantly, he put me at ease with my concerns of pain and timeframe for treatment. I am now currently on my 2nd to last tray. Can’t wait for the brackets to be gone!Which comes to today (9/23/21) and my cleaning. The hygienist was very nice and was awesome with the cleaning. I want to say I’ve had two cleanings there and both times there was not any pain or discomfort. If that’s a fear for you with dentists, don’t be worried. Besides, if you’re brushing and flossing you shouldntt get have to worry anyway! (Sorry, adult moment). Oh, and the music selection is great as well. Someone still has to tell me why The Eagles are a thing, though. You ride horses, Desperado. Not fences.

Everyone was super friendly! Michelle was very helpful and knowledgeable with the financial part of my visit! Madison and Dr Johnson were also wonderful!! Dental visits have never been a fun time for me but Madison made sure I was comfortable! I’m so glad I made the decision to change dentist and I feel I chose the right one for me!

I started going to this practice last year after having a traumatic dental experience elsewhere. They have been wonderful to work with. My son went there today to have his wisdom tooth looked at. The nurse I spoke to said the Dr would take an x-ray, evaluate the problem and possibly remove the tooth, which is what we were hoping for. Instead they took an x-ray and gave him a referral for an oral surgeon, charged his card $230 and sent him on his way. He was there for 20 minutes. This place is way too expensive for mediocre work. If they were honest people, they would have taken one look at the bloody tooth petruding sideways from his gums and and told him what needed to be done without charging him so much. I would expect to be charged for an office visit of course, but this place is a rip off.

I just recently became a patient but am one for life! Dr. Garland and his hygienist are pleasant and knowledgeable.

We appear to have found affordable family dentistry here. We almost always reach a live assistant in the office and are able to schedule and re-schedule appointments with ease. The doctors are experienced and friendly. Sarah performs our cleanings pleasantly and professionally. She treats our child warmly and with good humor.

I have been going to Dr. Garland for over 12 years. I began with several crown replacements and have always had a positive experience. I can always reach a live person when calling. Each and every one of the staff personnel are very friendly! In the last 5 years I decided to have all of my teeth veneered...so that I wouldnt have to continue to use the teeth whitening strips the rest of my life! This was the best thing I could have ever done. I would totally recommend it and only by Dr. Garland. He is the best! I had a cleaning today by Nancy C. She is so friendly and cheerful and always makes me feel comfortable. I had not been for several months and we started chatting like I was just there last week! I highly recommend Dr. Garland and his staff if you need any type of dental work. The office is always clean . The Dentist and the hygienist wear clean and professional clothing along with their masks and shields. They put plastic on the chair for each patient. I have had several dental issues over the years and each and every time, never experienced any problems with the staff or the dentist. They are the best thing that hit Middletown. Dr. Johnson is amazing. I had a bad abscess and needed a root canal. He did everything to make sure i was comfortable until the swelling went away and someone even called to check on me the next day. They all are absolutely amazing here and by far my favorite dentist Ive ever been too.

I have not been to the dentist in years and I already know I’m going to need work done. Today was my second time going to get a overview on what all needs to be done and how much everything is going to cost. They made me feel really good about it all. They put a plan together for me on what they want to do first all the way to what can be done last. They are super nice and very informative.

I received a bill for services for $106.86, for a cleaning on 11/19/20, that your office called me- Not once, but twice, to come in for, after reviewing my benefits. The verbiage from your staff was, they had checked with my insurance, and I still had another cleaning for the year, that would be covered. I recall asking, Are you sure? Ive already had a cleaning this year. Your staff replied, Yes, it wont cost you anything. You have one more cleaning for the year.Fast forward, I get a bill. How youre operating, comes off as rather deceitful, especially given the current economy. We know that reviews are one of the key components to a business. I found your office, in a search, based on reviews, for my fiance. Not only did he become a patient, but so did I, as I was satisfied with the service and professionalism you provided him and me, to this point. When I contacted your office about the bill, on 12/30/20, Michelle proceeded to put if off on the insurance company. She said there could have been a pending claim, etc., that insurance didnt consider in the prior authorization. I believe it was your offices job to do their due diligence, to probe for the right information. Imagine if the bill had been higher, and if you all do this to tons of patients. I wasnt planning on keeping the appointment, as I was in the process of relocating to Phoenix that following week.Had I not been assured that it would be covered, I wouldnt have kept the appointment. Ive always had positive experiences with you and your office until now, and even shared those reviews online for all to see on Google. Im not sure how you want to handle the balance, but I assure you, you will be hearing from my attorney, if it is not resolved.Lastly, to add insult to injury, my crown on the upper right (2) did not hold up for very long. After all the money I paid and my insurance and I paid. Unbelievable!! I was eating an egg burrito when it came out - nothing hard or crunchy. I went to Risas dental here in Phoenix, on 2/8/2021, to have it re-cemented, and there wasnt enough tooth left to support the hold. It fell right out at the office.Now, here I am, out of state, having to deal with paying for an implant for that failed crown, or have the roots completely cleaned out, leaving me with just gums and an empty space. Yet you all are coming after me for $106.86?NEW PATIENTS PLEASE BEWARE- Dont go in for additional things when they call you!

I was a patient of this office over a decade ago in my teens and always liked them. Now Im back due to a recent move and change in insurance. I really like this office, even more than the doctor I had been seeing. Dr. Banks is very nice and reassuring. The entire office staff is warm and welcoming. I have been twice in a week and will be back again soon thanks to some dental work being done, and both of my recent experiences have been fantastic. I had to bring my 3.5 month old with me for my cleaning and they were very understanding and helpful. Highly recommend!

The assistants and doctor were extremely confident and proficient. It was painless. I have found my new dental home.

Very clean, felt very comfortable in the office. Sarah was my dental hygienist and she was very caring and professional. She explained everything she was doing and was always asking if I was doing ok. Courtney helped me with my insurance concerns. Dr. Johnson answered my questions and concerns about upcoming procedures. I would highly recommend if you are in need of dental work.

Ive been attending Garland and Johnson of Middletown since I moved here a few years back. My latest visit was today and every staff member was as friendly as always. I actually called this morning with an emergency broken tooth and they got me in within the hour. They explain prices thoroughly and answer any questions with the same depth. Best dentist office by far!

This is the best dental office I have experienced. I get very nervous and they have always been very understanding. They do great work. Just had crowns put on my front teeth. They look fantastic!! Thanks to Melissa, Courtney, Morgan and of course Dr. Banks!!
