Staff was not helpful. The web site would not work correctly. And refused to allow you to make a phone appointment.

We go nowhere else. Amber is the best. She engages my six-year old the whole time she is cutting his hair. We always ask for her, specifically.

I went to sport clips at 10:15 with my two small children. That is 15 minutes after they open. There were already two people waiting, one person getting their hair cut, and one person cutting hair. No one else was working. I checked in on the automated check-in and the estimated wait was 112 minutes. Then I noticed a sign that said only the person getting their hair cut is allowed on the cutting floor. We waited for her to finish cutting her first clients hair and then when she came over to get the next person I asked her if that sign applied to one year olds. She then said I would be able to go back with him but my three year old son would have to wait on his own. That is an outrageous policy and needless to say my son still has shaggy hair. I understand that they cater to men but I didnt realize that didnt include small boys. The other two guys waiting were super nice and also seemed annoyed by how long they had to wait. It seems that they are short staffed.

All that needs to be said is.. Colleen is awesome. Fantastic stylist.

I checked in online and arrived about 5 minutes before the suggested arrival time. I canceled my reservation after waiting 50 minutes and watching 6 other people get bumped ahead of me with no explanation. Very poor customer service!

I love Sport Clips. From the cut to the shampoo to the scalp/head massage they go above and beyond.. oh and don’t forget the hot towel.. Colleen is the best stylist I have had in years!!

You gèt a good hair cut but I had to wait 1hr and 23 minutes in the waiting room to get it. Lots of went online and signed up. I just was hoping they would have someone who would do walk-ins and others that would work on the people who go online. I do like this place just dont like to have to make reservations to get a cut.

Your system is poor and your employees disregard check-ins. Your system told me to arrive at 1:34 and it is now 2:10pm and I still am not sitting in a chair. In addition, your stylist disregard the order as I was sitting in position 1 and somehow position 4 was seated before me. As a business owner what a terrible way to conduct business. In my business, this is like me taking someones order and serving a table that I take 10 minutes later. Highly do not recommend this location.

I have never been to a sports clips tell today they let me wait for 20 min.... never was greated or informed of their process. After waiting a guy walked in and goes to their computer... fills in his name, and they call him immediately.... Not a good business practice. After this I informed one of the ladies I was there for 20 min and she ignored me. Not very classy!

My son had his first professional hair cut today, he is 2.5 years old. Amber at this location did great, she was sweet and listened to his cues to make him more comfortable. She also did a great job and made sure his cut was even and clean.My only complaint is that it was VERY CLEAR an older woman who works there did not want to do my son’s cut. She was free and it was very obvious that she was doing everything she could to avoid helping us, as we were “on deck” for 5-10 minutes. My friend and I saw Amber come in with her lunch while we were waiting. In the end, I’m happy that Amber helped because she was great! The rudeness of the other woman did not ruin our overall experience, thanks to the great service from Amber.

Got a great haircut and only had about a 10 minute wait after I checked in online. Very friendly and courteous staff. I will definitely be going there again.

I went in for a haircut this morning. I cant remember the name of the stylist, so her anonymity is safe.I specifically said that I dont want anything taken off of the top or the front, because Im growing it out. (The last time I was here, a different stylist also cut it too short. I should have learned my lesson that time.) I told the stylist I dont want anything off of the top or front, just trim the sides.The next thing I know, Im watching helplessly as she takes the scissors and rapidly cuts off the top of my hair. I stopped her and asked her what she was doing, reminding her that I told her I didnt want anything off of the top or front. Her response: Oh, you meant nothing at all? Omg lady! When I talk, what is it that you hear? Is it like backwards talk and dolphin squeaks?!?!I knew that she had pretty much destroyed it. She said no, it will be fine. Its not fine. My hair looks worse than Ive ever seen it. She gave me a discount for the trouble. I dont want a discount, I want my hair.DO NOT go to this place if you care AT ALL about how you look. They will destroy you. I can recommend much better places. Blue Chip Barber Club on the far west side of Madison is the best. I will go back their from now on. (Ask for Zach.) Do yourself a huge favor and avoid Sport Clips (especially this Middleton location) unless youre hopelessly desperate for a quick, last-minute haircut. And even then, good luck.

Great cuts

Glad to see the shop has opened again. Today i tried to use the site to get on the wait time list. After 0 minutes of following the directions and repeatedly not getting on the wait list I tried calling the shop to make it onto the wait list. All I got was a message telling me to use the app or online check in, which I futility tried before I called. Very poor check in for me. I will have to use another shop that uses telephone or has an app that actually works.

Sports Clips rocks because Nora works there! I followed her from a previous salon. I get a great haircut and intelligent conversation. Nora is skilled, confident and caring. 😊

They messed up my lineup and it was really quick and terrible customer service never going there.

Made appt online . Got there early. Had to wait 25 min AFTER scheduled appointment time for haircuts. Only one out of the three boys had a nice cut. Not worth the money/ time/ poor quality. (Unless you know who is good & only stick with one person...) but we probably won’t go back again to find out.

My fiancé went to the Middleton WI sports clips yesterday, and all I have to say is my 4 year old daughter could have done a better job on his hair. The neck line is about a half an inch shorter on the left side then the right. Same goes for the top of the hair on his head the left is way shorter then the right side. He told her not to touch his beard at all and she messed that up as well. I don’t know the ladies name but I know she is an older lady and by the sounds of it doesn’t look like a very nice person. You all really need to look into getting rid of people who obviously don’t know how to do their jobs.

Overpriced. Some of staff talkative, others are quiet. This franchise in Madison and Fitchburg do not feel like supporting local sports which is a shame. They spend millions on major sport events, but do not support their local clientele. Its a shame.Two stars is for the ambiance of place and big screen tv.

New ownership just took over and raised prices of a varsity haircut over 15% and got rid of loyalty punch cards with no explanation to the stylists who were left having to explain to returning customers. Its the owners right to do these things but it has me looking for other places to go for a haircut now.

I wish I can provide zero stars, I just moved to Madison from IL. I really loved the service I used to get in IL. This was my first visit to the place, the manager (dont remember her name) was cutting my hair, does not know hot give hair cut for sure, not only she did a very bad haircut, once I complain to her that this is not what I was expecting, she did not even bother to ask me what is not right. She appears that she has no interest in the place whats going on. I will not come back to this place for sure.

They understand what a fade is, which is more than I can say for Great Clips.

We called in advance and they were kind enough to put us on the waiting list. Hair stylist was very friendly and did a great job cutting my 7 yr olds hair. A little expensive for a kids haircut, but we had a coupon.

Hit and miss. three bad haircuts in a row. You can feel the tension between staff members, never had a stylist as disengaged as my last visit. Had to get it fixed, very sloppy and uneven. Management contacted me via email and said sorry for your bad experience, see you on your next visit. I wont be back. Too bad, its a cool concept but your staff needs to perform the service as promised.

This lady does not know how to give a haircut, I tell her “just a little off the top, half an inch at max” she must have heard me tell her to give me a buzz cut because that’s what she did. These people have no clue what they are doing.

A great place to get a nice cut but because of the many different stylists there, you really dont know how your hair is going to turn out.

Nothing special really. Clean facility. Good looking haircut. The stylist hardly spoke with me; which some peple might not like. The price tag was $20 plus a $7 dollar tip.

Had issues there before but today had two people come in after me sit down. So i just walked out. Wont be going back. I have no idea how they assign haircuts... at the one by Hilldale as i write review. They have a list. Seems to make more sense then some slips of paper they use at middleton and all employees rearrange.

For non-salon quality hair service Sport Clips is top notch. Great atmosphere and friendly staff always and the quality of the cut surpasses that of what I have experienced with other similar hair cut places.
