After being told the tires I ordered and paid for online had been discontinued, they set me up with a more expensive set of tires. That wasnt such a big deal. Websites dont always have the most up to date information. I understand that. They also replaced my lug nuts without my authorization and then proceeded to charge me for them when I returned to pick up my car. This type of service on top of them charging me to replace a tire over the winter that was supposed to be fully covered under the extra warranty that I purchased means that I likely wont be coming back to the Michigan City location any time soon. Its unfortunate because this is not the high level of customer service I have experienced at their other locations.

I cannot say enough good things about Discount Tire. I use them in the Chicago suburbs and when I was coming back from a family vacation in Michigan, we hit a pot hole and blew the tire. It was a Sunday so we waited for them to open on Monday and I came right when they opened and they took care of me right away. They were SO nice and accommodating. Jordan was great and Jason even let me know I should have my breaks looked at just in case. I cannot recommend this place enough. Even better? I have warranty on my tires which is pretty standard if you get tires replaced here. A brand new, run flat tire cost me $37. Discount Tire is hands down the best place to go.

Morgan D. Woods, III was super when I visited this Discount Tire. I was heading towards New Buffalo when my tire pressure dropped. I was 30 minutes away from my location to learn there were no tire stores there. I took a detour to Michigan City and found Discount Tire to be open on 4th of July weekend. Morgan provided kind and professional help and took care of everything for me. He put me at ease and had me, my daughter and two dogs back on the road to finish our day trip which was 300+ miles from home. I definitely recommend this store. Thank you to Morgan and the crew that got me on the road again safely!

Best service around. These guys and gals bust their humps no matter the weather to make sure EVERY customer leaves happy. Pricing is great. Perfect for the market they are in. I have yet to be disappointed in anything these folks have done for me. 10/10 would recommend to my friends and family!

I have gone here twice. Once on an early Tuesday morning, the other on a busy Saturday afternoon. Each time the service was fantastic and we only had to wait maybe 15-20 minutes from start to finish. The Belle Tire next door is a waste of time and will keep your car for hours. Dont waste your time, go to Discount Tire!

These guys never disappoint me; they are quick and efficient. I always try to be the first car in the morning and it works out every time. I was in by 8 and out before 9, but thats due to the excellent workers.

Ended coming here to mount a new tire we purchased elsewhere (nobody had it in stock). They were very nice and we were in and out within 45 min and charged us less than everywhere else!

Terrible service first they said they didnt make or sell the tires I had (which was a lie but had no choice I was stranded) then they forgot a lug nut and then sold me rims because one of mine wouldnt balance totally untrue. I decided to travel with my new tires from discount tire and noticed a shake and pull took it to discount tire in the area because everything pointed to a unbalanced tire.The service guy said he had been doing this for 20yrs and preceded to tell me there was nothing he could do even though I purchased the insurance that was supposed to be good everywhere.I then said would you atleast look at it he said it would be atleast 3hrs or possibly Monday. I was told the insurance meant no wait and no cost if it was tire related this company is a joke.P.S. hope I make it home

Waited in the air check line for over 15 minutes with no service. The air check tech decided he would check a client in and make the air check line wait. After 10 minutes another tech came out to assist the line of cars in the check in lane. Would not recommend. Shouldve been a quick less than 5 minutes visit.

I’d like to recognize Morgan. Morgan politely greeted me as soon as I walked into the establishment. Rather than send me out to collect details about my vehicle, he happily suggested to go out and get all the required information. Explained the software being used to help determine the best tire for my needs and went to the back to bring out the tires to show me the physical difference and hardness of the suggested tires and their tread. I truly believe Morgan went above and beyond to help ensure I understood everything I needed to in order to make an educated decision on what best fits my needs. He deserves to be recognized for his kindness, professionalism, knowledge, and dependability.Morgan also gave me an expected time in which my 4 new tires would be installed and be ready for pick up. Approximately 35 minutes after I left, the car was ready, beating the expected time drastically. I highly recommend this location for tires, assistance, and the personalities of the staff.Highly recommended.

On a road trip from WI to MI. Stopped to let the kids use the bathroom, noticed I had run something over and I was losing air in my rear drivers side tires. Tires that were less than 24 hours old mind you. This location treated us right, removed the obstruction and patched promptly, all without charging us a dime!I would gladly have paid for the service, but this location treated us right and got us back on the road quickly and safely.Cheers to you guys for doing the right thing. My car was shaking from a warped rim, my tire was fine, so today I went to tire discount and I bought a new rim for my car. I pull away that tire sounds funny. The place was closed so I looked at it and it looked bigger than my other rims, I measured the rims and that new one is off 2/12 inches. I have kinda special tires, and I specially asked him. I felt and feel like a woman alone ripped off again. I’m going back in the am. Really disgusted -no stars

A shout out to Luke and the whole team for amazing service!! We were on our way cross country back to Oregon from Washington DC when our tire blew! Turns out we needed all 4 new tires! Since we were on a 7,000 mile trip spending $600 on tires was cutting it! Luke found us a great set for a price we could afford and the team put them on fast so we were back on the road! Andrew and Morgan are awesome, as is everyone every time Ive come in. They have tires everyone else in town was backordered and they put them on right then fast. Right at closing time too, happily! Also prices are great I really shopped around .

I came in with a tire emergency about 15 minutes before they were going to close for the day. Despite the fact that they knew fixing my tire would mean staying open well past normal business hours, they proceeded to diagnose and repair my tire.They put a lot of time and effort into not only fixing a hole in the tire but also rebuilding the sensor and fixing the valve stem. FREE OF CHARGE! What?! Who does that?I dont normally post a review unless it is about an example of extraordinary service that warrants recognition of a particular employee or establishment.In this case it was both. I believe the gentlemans name was Michael. He was incredibly knowledgeable and clearly communicated what the issue with the tire was and how it would be diagnosed and repaired.Do yourself a favor and have your tires serviced at THIS location.

A huge thank you to Michigan City Discount Tire and their wonderful staff! On September 19th, 2019 we we on our way to an appointment when our tire went flat. We were a two parking lots away from them and it was 5:59pm. I was sure I wasn’t getting a tire tonight. They close at 6pm. I called and Morgan told me to walk on over. They waited for my husband to get there with the tire he was taking off the car which took another 10 min past their closing time. They got a new tire on my car and everyone was so nice to us. They saved my appt and my birthday(sept 20). So thank you again. You are now my one stop tire shop.
