I recommend AAMCO on Bird Road and 72 ave to everyone that needs fluid change or transmission fixed the owner gave me the price advised to drop the car by 8 am and would be ready by 3. Well the car was finished by 1:30 pm they did a wonderful job. I would definitely take my car there again.

I found AAMCO by searching online for shops that could deal with transmission issues when my ‘92 4Runner began having trouble getting into gear and a dipstick check turned up burnt particles in the fluid. The intake process was simple and fast — when the tow arrived, Pedro and his team scrambled right away to make room for my truck in a spot outside as it began to rain. I heard back the next day with the diagnosis that the transmission was burnt and needed to be replaced either used or new and had very reasonable quotes for both immediately including warranty options. I gave the green light for the work over the phone with a general idea of the process (ordering the parts, taking out the old, receiving the new and installation) and a realistic estimate for how long it would take. Pedro was my sole point of contact throughout the process, always picked up the phone when I called for a status check and was even keeled the entire time. The work indeed took 5-7 days and when I picked up the truck she was in great shape in the interior and exterior as clean as I left her and most importantly runs INCREDIBLE. Everything engine wise also checked out which was a great relief. They even fixed the ring around the overdrive button that was dislodged from my gear shift when I asked them to check it out, more of a nuisance than anything. I’m supposed to now drop by for a quick check next week at the time of my choosing to see if anything is leaking or amiss or needs tweaking. Overall I’m extremely pleased with the experience and now have added peace of mind at an important milestone of my 29 going on 30 yr old truck and also that if there are issues I’m covered especially nationwide since I’ll be moving out west soon. The road ahead will be a lot smoother!

The paperwork said the diagnostic job was over a thousand dollars, when confronted they said they had made a mistake and revised the paperwork. Outrageous estimate, some of the diagnostic codes listed on the estimate were not even codes that the vehicle had. Stay away.

Very rude over over priced and mean wont do business with them pedro the owner of aamco you quoted me 189 for a oil change and 349 for a transmission flush how do i know this is cause u were on speaker at my pharmacy where i work and my techs also heard you quote that so please dont try to benefit from a horrific experience on the phone with u plus u also quoted to me if jiffy lube is cheaper go to them like u dont even want my business to be honest im not mad at u i just think your professionalism and your lack of kindness towards a potential customer. The entire cover under the car was lost. I had them lift the car and show the lost cover. WIll go to Hyundai and order a new cover. The ticking sounds got trpublesome. Anyway I got a free diagnostuc and they offer to put the cover on once it is received. pics of the destroyed under carriage cover enclosed

Was having issues with my transmission, shopped around for prices and reviews . I was hesitant to just go anywhere, so I decided to try aamco a reputable known shop. Was explained thoroughly what the issue was and how long it would take and they delivered. Great experience would definitely recommend and go again for any other issues in the future .

Excellent experience despite being a bit pricey. I took my 2004 F150 to have the rear differential fixed. Midway Ford was unable to fix it, they wanted to replace it for a new one or rebuilt differential. I brought it to Victor and they did a great job. I drove the truck immediately to MA and GA and it has driven smoothly no sound or whatsoever. I still have a good 4k miles of warranty, but I think this was a permanent fix and the truck will be good for many years.

So far all good. Well see how things go with the repair.

We were referred to AAMCO by our handy man who said our sons 1995 Dodge Ram Pickup needed a new transmission. We called around to a couple of other places whose prices were sky high that we could not afford. So I called AAMCO and spoke to Victor. Victor advised us to bring the truck by for his staff to take a look and and get back to us. We did just that and within the same day, he told us yes, that we did need a new transmission and how much it would cost. He advised that they did offer financing which worked for us. So we told him to go ahead and replace the transmission. It took a few days, Victor updated us every day as to what work had been accomplished and the time frame he thought it would be ready in. We were able to pick the truck up in about 4 days and it runs like a dream now. We highly recommend AAMCO to anyone needing a new transmission for their vehicle. Victor and his staff are very helpful and friendly and explain the entire process to you.

I would like to share my experience at AAMCO. I contacted them and explained my car problem and financial worries to Victor. Victor was kind, informative, and explained the entire process to me. I was worried that I was facing a transmission problem that would cost me thousands of dollars. I took my car in on a Monday morning. Victor called me Monday afternoon to tell me that they had discovered the problem. It was unrelated to the transmission but affected the cars shifting. Great overall experience!! I noticed the negative reviews and couldnt help but totally disagree. Staff was very courteous and informative. They walked me through the process and were very detailed in their explanation of the repairs that were required. Shuttle service was offered while my repairs were done. Also a very quick turnaround on the repairs. The shop manager, Lazaro Borrego was also great nothing but good things to say about him. Highly recommend A+++++

Professional, Courteous, Prompt. What more can you ask for?I called with a transmission problem on a 1960 Ford so as you can imagine this is not the classic repair and they excelled at it. My car is perfect. All along Victor kept me posted on the advances (now, he is not your mom, he will not spend his day calling you) and was very courteous. If you wonder whether you should go to them, definitely and if you are hesitating between AAMCO providers pick this one you will not be disappointed. I went to AAMCO Transmission to service my Honda transmission. It was great in and out within an hour. It all worked out, I even had time to grab lunch while they serviced my car. Great people will recommend this place to others.

I initially went to AAMCO for a problem with my transmission. The service I received and the level professionalism was outstanding. All repairs were completed in a timely manner and for the price I was quoted. Something I appreciate since many times I get quoted one price and then am charged something else. Since then, I have gone back to have some other work done on my car and I could not be happier with the work done on my car as well as the way I was treated. I would highly recommend this AAMCO store not only for your transmission needs but any other service they offer. Trust me, service like this is not readily found in Miami. Whatever you do dont take your car of truck to this shop is very dishonest . Whatever you do dont let them work on your transmission I paid them over $3500 to rebuild completely and I paid extra to put heavy duty parts into the transmission on my Ford F250 4x4. A week later I picked up my truck and the rebuilt transmission was already shifting incorrectly they took it back kept it for another week picked it up it worked for another week then transmission stopped shifting into 2nd and 3rd gear took a back to them now the transmissions been dropped 3 times they rebuilt it again Transmission lasted another week lost reverse took it back a week later transmission was removed a 4th time . Get my truck works fine for about 2 months then the it overheated... again the transmission gets removed and this time they say its the Torque converter which I paid to be replaced and they never did they put my old one back in . Worked fine for less then a year and of course it broke down again ... All in all my truck was at there shop over 6 weeks .DONT... EVEN IT IS FOR FREE WILL I TAKE OR LET THEM WORK ON A BICYCLE ... NEVER WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS SHOP TO ANYONE EVEN MY ENEMY.

I highly recommend this location for your auto care. Their customer service and workmanship was second to none in my experience. My engine was completely damaged and because I have an extended warranty I had to jump through hoops to follow the warranty companys protocol. If it wasn’t for Victor’s help throughout the painful process, it would have been an absolute nightmare. He gave me daily updates, expert advice and had my back when dealing with the warranty reps that were clearly looking to find a way to get out of having to cover anything. Long story short, my repairs were covered and I don’t think it would have been done if I had taken my car to anywhere else. I’ll be sure to take ALL of cars there in the future!

Went in to get an inspection and quote on an oil leak. After stating that the repairs and labor was going to be about $400 + I decided to get a second opinion at another garage. $20 later and over a year later no more oil leaks.

Id been having lots of transmission issues with my car. I took it in to this AAMCO and the guys there helped me with great turnaround time. I want to give a special thanks to Victor, who was always patient and helpful when working with me.

Stay away from these people. I took my car in because my transmission wasn’t working. Victor the manager is a dishonest human being. Fast forward THE DAY AFTER my car was returned and $4,000 later I’m left with a malfuncting car that does not want to turn on. In addition, they broke the handle that opens the hood. And my check engine light turned on back on. After confronting dishonest Victor his answer was that he was not responsible for the damages and turned it around on me. He didn’t even bother to look at the car! he only acknowledged the handle and said that it was broken when I brought the car initially. I’ve decided to sue. ****if you want to add your case, contact Haymes law, and they will take care of you*****

I went to Aamco and within minutes Victor came outside, scanned my car, told me one of the issues wrong with my transmission, while waiting to get picked up after dropping off my car, the mechanic looked at my car, check my wires, plugs, connectors, etc. Then, pulled my tranny dipstick and immediately knew what another issue was. I wont have an estimate until Monday, but Im very pleased with their customer service. Id recommend AAMCO, especially this specific location to anyone.

I took my truck for transmission repairs. Victor was the one who took it in. The following week there was someone covering for him. I think it was Michael. He was very unprofessional and had no clue what he was doing. In addition, he was very rude and treated me like I was gonna take my truck and not pay. Finally got my truck back, 4000.00 later. The truck had the battery cables loose, the transmission drain plug loose and the transfer case drain any fill plug loose. The third gear was the original problem, it was still giving me problems. I took the truck back and Victor said it was fixed. On the way home I stopped for gas and the truck wouldnt turn back on. Same thing that happened the first time. I called viator and he said that it wasnt his problem, I started fine at the shop and left. I found that they had over tightened the battery cable to the point that they broke the bolt on the cable. Again I noticed the transmission not shifting properly in third gear. The next weekend I went hunting and got stuck in the mud and was stranded because my 4xr wouldnt engage. Again I called Victor and he said it had nothing to do with him and that I called on a Friday afternoon to argue and he wasnt gonna argue with me. That is poor customer service and shoddy workmanship. Twice I had my truck there and they still couldnt fix it. Not to mention they broke something and left the drain plugs loose. While I was there, the mechanic had his shirt tied up in a ball to his chest with his whole stomach showing, one pant leg up like a gang member. The worst place to take your car. I did some research and found that Aamco has been sued and all you need to do is call the attorney generals office to file a complaint and they will give you other numbers for consumer services Division to file your complaint as well and demand a refund. I will not take it back there cause I already they cant fix it and they will break something else. I have filed my complaints already and now Im going to write to their corporate office. Joe

I requested a print out but refused to give it to me, when I call back in 2 weeks. Watch out for this place. I was ripped off. After my car broke down they replaced the clutch, resurfaced the flywheel, and replaced the slave cylinder...I dropped $1,500 at this place. The next time I drove the car it wouldnt hold speed and it began shaking. I took it back and gave the shop full permission to drive it until they figured out the problem. Aamco held the car for five days and claimed absolutely nothing was wrong with it. Upon getting the car back again, I was still experiencing the symptoms. I took it right to Tires Plus and they showed me the problem. Aamco had put the wrong fluid back in my Master Cylinder. That one mistake caused the fluid to boil at lower than normal temperatures, warped the cylinder cap, caused the calipers to seize which wore on my brake pads and rotors. Aamco denied they did anything wrong. The managers proof that they didnt put the wrong fluid in was showing me a list of what fluids each car takes and then showing me that they had a bottle of the brake fluid my car takes on their shelf. Proves a lot, right? Aamco still denied that anything was wrong and refused to fix the problem even though my car became nearly undriveable due to shaking. Thank goodness my pads and rotor were still under warantee, none the less I still had to drop $400 to replace the calipers, which never would have been locking if the proper brake fluid was put in my car. DO NOT GO here, will take as much money as posible, and not willing to help, dont have wahts best for you or your car in mind.

Hello my people never in my life and I have seen a workshop as bad and scammer as this workshop is how a week ago I took my car to that workshop to supposedly fix it after 15 days they fix the transmission it turns out that now every week I have to take my car to that place for things that didnt happen before and they tell you that I didnt have anything you liked, but thanks that I have photos of the problem and Im a lawyer process
