This location has very professional instructors and very friendly staff for the early morning classes. Together with the members they construct a consistent family-like, super positive and efficient workout circumstance.
Typical great Barry’s instruction. Bathrooms not that nice or clean like other locations.
My absolute most favorite workout. Its intense in the best way, and I always leave feeling incredible and accomplished. Would not recommend if you are a complete newbie to working out. Get a little familiarized with basic moves like lunges, chest press, push ups, etc. first, otherwise it may be a bit tough to keep up with the pace of the class.Classes are challenging and dynamic (though tbh that does vary depending on the instructor) and always different, which I love (never gets boring or too predictable). The amenities are always super clean and well stocked and everyone that works at this location is so so nice. Bonus points for super cute Barrys-branded merch and delicious smoothies perfect for post workout.
One word. Gui. Gui is an experience. Gui is wild. Gui is volatile. Gui is strict. Gui is insane. Gui is life. This location is famously associated with likely the best Barrys instructor on the face of the planet - Gui. Many say you never really know Gui, you just experience him. And at this Barrys, youll experience the full force of Gui (and probably follow him on instagram afterwards).Like all Barrys, classes here are split between treadmill and weighted floor work. This location is especially awesome because its close to lots of Midtown shopping and food plates (including Carrot Express - an insanely healthy option that is delicious). The workouts here are more strenuous than the Barrys in NYC. Gui is no joke and hell push you hard. This is a bootcamp after all. At the end of it, youll be happy you did. Just dont walk on his treadmills or stand to the side. Run at all costs, even if you have to fake it!Philosophers for thousands of years have debated the meaning of life. If you go to this Barrys, I think youll get closer to figuring out. All thanks to Gui.
Everything about Barrys Midtown is first class! The staff are super helpful and friendly each and everyday. The bathrooms and locker rooms are very nice and well kept. The bar with all the shakes is fabulous and they have your shake ready for you when you are finished with your class. Highly recommend the chocolate and peanut butter shake. The two best things about Barrys is Gui and his workouts! I attended Barrys four different times in the week I was visiting in Miami and only attended Guis classes so I cant say anything about the other instructors. Gui may be a little nuts but he wants nothing but to get the best out of you! He definitely wants to see you give 100% everyday, so dont walk (when you are suppose to run) or bring your phone to the class. Never a dull moment with Gui as your instructor but he is top notch! If I lived in Miami, I would be a regular at Barrys. Highly recommend!!
Signed up for a Barrys class a year ago and fell in love with the place. Its a VERY clean and organized studio. The trainers are fantastic. Each class starts with a quick warm up, transitions to a tough interval workout and ends with a stretch. No one gets lost as trainers are quick to assist with proper form and performance. All of the trainers bring unique talents to the studio!
Nyck’s class was great!
Great staff, great trainers, great showers, and super delicious smoothies! Huge shout out to Nikki! Her energy is amazing and her class is killer. I ran the fastest I have ever ran thanks to her. I highly recommend her class.
The classes at Barrys are awesome. The facilities are top notch, as well as the amenities in the restrooms. As company however, their attention to detail is fantastic and they keep the whole environment clean and friendly. As a fitness company however, they seem to be overlooking the importance of warming up and cooling down per the intensity of the workouts.Ive had recent conversations that not enough detail and focus is being dedicated to pre and post warm ups. Sometimes we leave the room and wonder that was it?. Ive even brought it up to the staff. Some take it to an extreme, where a female instructor I prefer not to name directly barely does any warm up at all as you then leap unto a fast moving treadmill. Equally important, she doesnt dedicate 45 seconds to cooling us down after making us run and push at high speeds for almost an hour. Other instructors do a better job of warming you up and cooling down, but its still not across the board, and theres no reason why this inconsistency should exist. This is simply bad form, possibly dangerous, and the notion of warm-ups shouldnt be left under the comfortable assumption that people will do their own before and after class, especially when some instructors do it, and others do not. EVERY INSTRUCTOR SHOULD DO A WARM UP, AND A COOL DOWN OF A FEW MINS, 100% OF THE TIME.Barrys shows care and concern in other areas of the property, it should institute the same rational for its actual warm ups, especially if its a boot camp
It really is the best workout in the world! The classes are hard so I always feel like Im being challenged and Im never bored because the workouts are always different. The trainers are all amazing but my 2 favorite are Nikki and Gui
Finally got around to checking this place out after being part of a couple other gyms and this place delivers! Did double floor with Trainer Sammi and she put me into overdrive. Couldnt be happier with the class and will be coming back again soon.
Prepare to sweat and get a killer burn. All you need to know is that they are doing it right here. Dont miss out on the juice bar either, youll need it.
Excellent workout! I has the one class so far. I’m pretty sure I will return, but is it realy worth $30 a pop? I don’t think so. It’s cool. It’s trendy. You can order your protein smoothy before the class and have it waiting for you. If it were $20 a class (without having to commit long term) it would be the best workout around!
The patrons seem a bit snobbish, and the instructor was okay. Not easy for first timer to assimilate because the he mainly paid attention to the regulars. The shower and locker room area is nice and clean, towel service available.
Great staff, great trainers.
Great studio with friendly staff and excellent instructors in a clean and well maintained space.
This is my First Week and I can say that I love it, I was scared of joining at first since Ive been only going to the gym on my own for a while, but is a great vibe and Sams class rocks!
Hard but good
