Met with Alberto to get a skin fade. Did a great job listening to what I wanted, gave feedback on what he would recommend, and ultimately provided me a haircut that exceeded expectations. Very thorough with the fade, and started/finished right on time. Even through in a complimentary black mask facial for being a new client of his. I would highly recommend, and will be going back to him regularly.

I come here twice a month and every time I am here they treat me beyond my expectations! The barber is not communicative. Asked for a fade 1.5mm. Barely cuts anything and cuts hair till 1.5cm instead. Who asks for 1.5cm fade? Wasted so much time cutting basically nothing. Couldn’t stay longer cuz of time issue, but require pre-paying so didn’t even get money back. Waste of money, waste of time.

I just moved back to midtown from Fort Lauderdale. I was really excited about using this barber. I live across the street so I was happy to be able to support local businesses. When making my appointment I mistakenly thought it was for 145. Well it was for 115. Legit my bad. When I got there and realized I missed my appointment I made a new one for same day 6pm. When I got there Mathew told me I had to pay again for my haircut which I had already paid for plus 20 percent tip. He said because I missed my spot he had to charge me again. I understand the importance of keeping appointments and by all means if they are missed often change people for sure. But a new customer and his first time? Super unprofessional. So they now lost a customer. Mathew do the math...I get my haircut one week. 52 weeks in a year. So over 35$ you all lost 52 haircuts plus me telling others how great you are. Now all I will do is tell people go elsewhere.

Taking online appointments and charging upfront with a closed store is really great… you need to fix your online reservation system and should only allow reservations when you are in operation.

The quality of the haircut matters, but the experience is why I visit this place. JC has the ability to transform my look with a haircut and great conversation, but getting a haircut at what basically feels like a bar is the real reason I love The Spot.

I understand inflation and all that however if you keep increasing the price $1 every month on top of the fees eventually the business and your barbers will suffer the customer migration.

I did have a somewhat bad experience in the beginning because I had to wait for like 45 mins for someone to cut my hair, but then Misael squeezed me in and was really friendly and talented. I took both of my boys for their haircut apt. on Sunday 2/14/2021. My youngest got out first and it seemed to be taking longer than normal. I understood that its Valentines weekend so I didnt think nothing of it. All I know I looked at the time and saw that it was 2pm I then told my oldest son its his turn. Thinking that maybe my youngest was distracted with looking at his phone thats the only reason he hasnt came out yet. Eventually 2 hours later someone finally came out the barbershop and let me know that Prince never came to work nor did he call in. It was only 2 barbers working and of course they were stressed out. This was a hot mess. Im grateful for the guys taking care of my boys but Im not going back to that barbershop and I really dont like switching up barbers every haircut. The barbers that were cutting hair came out and apologize to me,I feel that the barber that I booked shouldve been the one apologizing. Yall policy is strict if I would have missed the apt. then I risk the chance of not even getting a haircu.The barber doesnt call or show up and nothing happens. I make sure to tip 30% so Im not looking for a cheap haircut at all. Very disappointed 😞

Barbershop is hardly noticeable. I live in the apartments above and had no idea there was a barbershop here. Decided to give it a try and it did not disappoint. From the scenery to the customer service everything was on point. I was offered a drink and the barber Victor did an excellent job. He asked questions instead of just doing whatever he wanted which has happened at other barbershops. This barbershop is more of an EXPERIENCE than a simple haircut. Came in for a haircut. Barber asked me to come in a half hour earlier. Accidentally went to different location since I’m not from here. When I got there at the original time barber seemed in a hurry. Told him I wanted a side part and started to get frustrated because he said I was being too vague, so instead of telling me that my hair wasnt long enough for the style I wanted he proceeded to cut anyway even though I told him I’m not much experience with this type of Cut or going to barbershops in general, within the next 15 minutes after the cut my hair started spiking out even with the a heavy amount of product.Seemed like Barber was more worried about getting the next person in the chair instead of consulting me more about making sure my hair looked good. Will now have to wear a hat for New Year’s in the next few weeks until I grow out the hard part to get it fixed.Place looks beautiful though.

I just moved and neded a barbershop near by and found this place, its awesome and the staff its great. I had my hair cut by Misael I would highly recommend him, he did a great job.

After reading all the great reviews, I went there with high hopes but left extremely disappointed. My hairdresser did exactly what I told him not to. Have an important business meeting tomorrow and right now I have no idea what to do... extremely frustrating and disappointing..

So...My 5yr olds 2nd time going to an actual barbershop and I was 10000% satisfied! I took him 2yrs prior, to a different shop, and he had a bad experience, so I have taken him to a childrens salon ever since. Since I live in the same area as The Spot Barbershop, I decided to give it a try. Andy was awesome! He conversated with my son(in 5 yr old language...lol) and made him feel at home. He was super fast( because my son cant sit still for more than 10min..lol!) but the cut was just what Ive been looking for! Andy gave him a nice faded frohawk and even edged him up nice!! The atmosphere is sophisticated, mellow, clean, and comfortable! I had a complimentary drink at the bar while waiting(I had a colada but they do serve spirits) and my boy had a Coke on the rocks! When we left, my son said, When I get my haircut again, I want Andy to do it. This is def our new spot!!!
