I have been bringing my 2 boys to get there hair cut there for a couple years now. Barbers are always nice & patient with them, especially my 2 year-old. My 4 year-old always looks forward to riding their antique animal bouncer. They give you a certificate with childs 1st hair cut with a lock of their hair as keepsake which is a nice personal touch. There is never really much wait & they do a great job. Highly recommend.

Apparently a trim at the shop means of shave. I left there with no hair. I can appreciate the humor in this but I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you’re trying to prank a friend. Don’t pay for a cut here. Find a place with professionals.

I just moved here, and getting a haircut in a new town can be tricky. Niles gave me a good cut. Only complaint would be $17 (before tip). For a traditional/old school barber shop thats pretty steep, but worth it in my opinion.

Out of all the places Ive been to in the Pinecrest area, Petes is the best. The only downside is that it is cash only. The old cash register looks cool and all, but I really would like to be able to pay in card as well. I have had to go to other barber shops when I dont have cash in hand.

Petes has been here for my entire life. All the guys I grew up with went to Petes. I honestly cant comment on the service these days but it gets 5 stars for nostalgias sake.

Great place to get a haircut especially as a gringo with straight hair. In Miami theres about a million places to get a fade, but there arent many places I can go. Petes is great, they have a very friendly atmosphere. They have parties for special occasions and offer free food and drinks. Its really pretty cool in an old folky kind of way. Their barbers rrally know how to cut too, if you dont get a good haircut then youre not telling them what you want.

I was at Petes Barbor Shop probably about 42 yrs ago. Howard Fairfield was a very good man that would give my dad a job when we were in town. I was just a boy of about 5 the last time we were there and Howard and the barborshop still stands out in my mind. There also used to be a large multiseat bicycle out front that I think Howard built. Great memories even though they were so long ago.

I was excited to try out Petes because of the great reviews and because they have been around for such a long time. I assumed that this meant i would be receiving a great cut, boy was i wrong. I dont like to bad mouth a business but this was by far the worst haircut ive ever received. Im including the time i got in trouble in 5th grade and my dad decided to give me a custom haircut the day before picture day.I was literally in the chair for less than 8 minutes (love that iPhone puts a time stamp on text messages) im not going to put the barber out there but he really needs to up his game.I asked for a 3 on top and skin fade on the bottom, I was told that the lowest his clippers went was a 1 but he would try make it work. Ill let you decide on the final outcome.This is a review thats long overdue.I walked out of the shop and went to another local barber to attempt the fix (review coming later) and they didnt do a much better job. What a bad day lol.Pros:1. Friendly atmosphere and staff2. Has a nice old school feeling to it3. Received fast service as a walk in4. Kid friendlyCons:1. Easily the worst haircut ive ever received.2. Shop location is actually pretty easy to miss, had to search for a bit.3. At $17 they are not competitively priced, and the quality of the cut doesnt warrant the price.4. Visited this place after moving to the area. When I got home, it looked like the guy became bored part way through and just stopped. I had to cut my hair again myself. Perhaps the guy was playing some sort of practical joke!?

Grew up in the neighborhood passing by this place for years. Went in now I am over it worse haircut ever. 20$
