I would highly recommend them to anyone including friends and family!! Thanks for a wonderful experience furnished finders!
I called this agent up last night in earnest because I needed a place to rent this month but instead of helping me she simply hung up. Based on the other review here it seems she is a private broker and not trustworthy or interested in helping anyone but herself.
Management is very unprofessional. We had multiple problems with billing discrepancies; the rate changed from 1600 to 1700 after we moved in, unclear pet fee (told $50, charged $150, then told people make mistakes) and a number of other issues. We moved out over a two weeks ago and have not heard from management regarding check out (we scheduled an appointment but she was a no call/no show) or security deposit return. Its a shame, because the apartments are actually nice and Coconut Grove is a great place to stay.
I would give zero stars if i could. Management, Sonia, is a very strange and unprofessional person. She dropped by the apartment to show to perspective renters when ever she felt like it, apartments are NOT as nice as pictures, and she will DEFINITELY steal your security depoist. Youve been warned.
First of all, I rent apartments, condos, vacation rentals, private units, every single day all over the United States which includes Alaska and Hawaii- it’s my job-I housed one of our travel nurses with Furnished Finders and this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had w/ a landlord. From the start we dealt with Sonia the landlady/owner. Sonia is like a one woman show. Our three month experience with Sonia consisted of her repeated lying, starting trouble, entering the unit unannounced, entering when she thought no one was home (until she finally got busted), and calling our nurse 4-5 times per week, unable to keep track of whether or not we paid the rent on any given month and refusing to return our deposit. Our lease included basic cable, which ended up being 5 channels (one was QVC/the others were in Spanish). Upon arrival- the 1 bedroom unit we rented was actually a studio. The unit wasn’t as clean as you would think it would be based off of the units advertised on her website. The couch was so dirty that she gave our nurse a white cover to put over it. The kitchen table had to be removed from the unit in order to gain access to the stackable W&D in the closet. Because of the space issue- Sonia finally moved our nurse to a different home she rents out called “the cottage”. This place was more spacious; however she continued contacting us via phone calls, frequently dropping by both announced and unannounced, bringing prospective new tenants by & leaving notes about it almost every day. She would contact me to say that I didn’t pay rent- then apologized because she “confused our company w/another”. She, in one of her many visits was always very rude to our nurse, to the point where our nurse asked her not to come by or contact her anymore but to contact her company directly. Sonia told our travel nurse that ‘we’ were tired of her and didn’t like her (really- sounds like elementary school huh). Sonia was called out on lie after lie after lie. Her stories were never straight. Our nurse made it through 3 months living under the craziness of Sonia. I submitted our 30 day notice to vacate a month before we vacated. Once our nurse moved out, I personally contacted Sonia to let her know the “cottage” had been vacated. Two weeks later I get an email stating how she was keeping our entire deposit to cover cable bills (which the lease said was included), cleaning, replacement of the dirty couch that she gave our nurse a cover for just so she could sit on it, and rent because she said we kept the place for a week past move out. She has absolutely no recollection of me contacting her to let her know that our nurse had vacated (even after I forwarded Sonia the emails between she & I proving in black & white that the conversation did in fact happen). I even tried to show her a paystub proving that our nurse was clocked in on another job, 3 states away during the time she says we hadn’t vacated the “cottage”.BEWARE of renting from this woman. The website makes it look like you are renting from a spectacular ‘management’ company when in fact you are renting from an individual busy body who has no idea what she is doing from day to day, who can’t keep her lies straight, who’s only interest is getting and keeping your money. Definitely NOT ‘the leaders in corporate housing, budget-friendly rentals, and family vacation rentals’ as advertised on their website. I really think Sonia copied excerpts from other rental agencies that she found on the internet and pasted them into her own website in an attempt to make hers look more upscale and professional rather than the low grade backyard rip off agency that she truly owns.Don’t you find it a bit odd that after 10 years of being in business (per her website), that there is only ONE review/testimonial listed and it just happens to be a wonderful review…….Exactly. The woman won’t allow the real reviews on her website. If you want to leave a review you have to email it to her, then she decides what to post.
