Today was my 4th time at ManiMe and every other experience has been great however, today was extremely disappointing. I came in for a very simple gel polish change and was seen by Lily. She rushed and did not do the typical quality work that I have seen in the past. She did not clean up my cuticles, use a cuticle oil, or use the exfoliating scrub. Generally there is a brief massage done toward the end but It was skipped. These are small details that make the experience better and I would have overlooked them had she done a quality job on my nails but she did not. They were very uneven and bumpy. Some had air bubbles or streaks and some were simply sloppy. I noticed how bumpy they were and asked if she could fix it. She simply filed off the top coat and added it again which did little or nothing to improve them. The manicure was discounted only $3 once it was VERY clear to everyone the end result was a mess. I understand having a bad day but for many of us a manicure is a very simple outlet for self care and to have it be a rushed through and improperly done is not acceptable.

If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. I gave one because the salon is very nice aesthetically speaking and seemed quite clean. The work is horrendous. To be fair, I work in healthcare and am constantly washing/sanitizing my hands but I have never had my nails break and crack after a week like this. I received a pedicure, which was pretty standard. No real complaints there, mostly because she didn’t do much other than rub lotion on my feet and polish my nails. I asked for dip powder on my nails, which I always get. They actually looked great for about three days before they started breaking and cracking. I recently moved to the area from DE and was referred by a friend who said she had had pedicures done here before and liked it. Honestly, I’d rather drive two hours back to DE to my old nail salon than give ManiMe any type of business again. To add insult to injury, they couldn’t even find the color I asked for (which was on a display set of nails) so I eventually asked them to just give me a light shade of pink. Everyone was very nice and professional, but it doesn’t make up for this type of work, especially at the price I paid ($80 when you include the “fee” they charge for using a credit card, and then the $10 tip I gave). Find somewhere else.. literally anywhere else!

Ive been coming here for close to a year now and I absolutely love it everytime!!! The staff is super sweet and talented. My most recent set was done by Ivy (the cowprint set) and I absolutely adore them. The salon is clean and the staff puts in effort to make your experience there enjoyable (ie. hot towels, hand scrub & cream + a shoulder massage if youd like!) The pricing is also fair considering the great service!

Love my mani pedi that I got here this past week Abby was great they look great and have lasted longer than my last one on my hands cause I am always washing and sanitizing. My hands at work. Thanks for making me feel pretty ❤️

Went for First time really love this place friendly staff make u feel comfortable good options of color, won’t rush you for anything my nails artist was very professional took her own time to do the nails overall good job according prices it was good but even to shape nails they charge you $10 extra which I personally feel they are charging extra for the basic thing but I guess every nails salon has different criteria of prices but apart of that nice experience

I like the place and everyone who done my pedi or nails came out nice but the owner chargers for EVERYTHING! I normally get gel pedi but since summer is over i just did regular one. Wanted to charge me to take my polish off that i get done here!!! How does that seem fair ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing day off. Same thing when i got my nails done charged me for shaping them...on my first new set i could see if i wanted to change them ok

It is clean and sanitary. If you want dip nails this is the place to go! Plus the online booking is amazing I love not having to call in and I get confirmed in about a day!

I’ve been getting my nails done here since March of 2019. I’ve always been happy with my nails and the service. I came July 14th 2020, both my sister and I got gel manicures. Usually a gel manicure from this place can last 3 weeks. My manicure started to CHANGE COLOR, from pink to a gross white color, they also started to raise. My sister’s manicure completely fell apart. They all fell off within a week. I called on Thursday July 23rd to explain what happened. The front desk girl, asked how many nails changed color and how many fell off. I was honest and told her. She said okay come in, we can redo the manicures for free. We get here.... and it’s a completely different story. They said no, you have to pay half price, then continued to ARGUE, with me saying I only have 24 hours to complain about a service. Point of the story, I felt really disrespected. I loved this place, but I definitely won’t be coming back after how they’ve treated us. I paid for a manicure that would last at least 2 weeks.... not 7 days.After an hour of arguing, the offered us free regular manicure. I appreciate it. But it shouldn’t of taken this long/this much effort to “correct” their mistake.The pictures are our nails on Wednesday 7/22, and when we first got them done 7/14... you see the difference within a week and 1 day.

Linda did a great job on my nail design and taking off my previous uv gel acrylic nails I had for months and without damaging my nail bed!

I’ve got Manicure and pedicure done here today 9.9.21. Service is horrible, please find another nail salon if you can. Coming to prices they are very high and I didn’t receive proper service for the money I paid. First of all they didn’t told that they will charge extra $2 when we use credit card I l paid it regardless of our billed amount. My friend and me paid $90 plus $4 for using card. Displayed offers are no more valid. For regular mani & pedi I paid $44. At the end person at reception asked “do you have cash to tip us?” . Employees talk on our back and feel frustrated when we ask for extra coat of polish. DISAPPOINTED ☹️

I would have to give this location a 1 star since they didn’t respond back to my appointment request that they have on their website. The website and photos looks great but with no response I’m glad I didn’t waste my time.

Do not get a wax here. Have never seen a worse job on someone’s eyebrows than the burns they inflicted on my daughter. Been going here for 2 years and the service has gone so far downhill. The manicures and pedicures do not last either.

I’ve been here a hand full of times- each time I’ve literally called last minute and they were able to squeeze me in. They’re very clean and keep everyone distanced.I’ve had 3 different nail technicians work on my nails and each of them has exceeded my expectations. They are precise and take their time.This time, I decided to get acrylic tips with gel polish as opposed to just gel over my nails. I was nervous as this is the first time I’ve had tips in years and at a place I’ve never had tips done at before. I showed the tech the exact shape I wanted- again, expectations exceeded. I’m obsessed with how beautiful my nails looks and the shape is perfect!

The first experience was a very good experience, the staff and manager were very good, I really like to come here next time to do my nails

I got an acrylic full set and 3 of the nails have fallen off within like 9 days of getting them done which never happens at the other salon I go to. I don’t know the name of the lady who did them but they also don’t look like the photo I showed for the design. The place was really fancy and cute and my friends nails turned out nice but for me it was a waste of money

This is my second manicure here, and first pedicure. Overall clean and nice atmosphere. The music was good, a bit clubbish and top 40, but good. Extra charge for nail art.

This nail salon is always really clean and everyone is very friendly. They do a really great job here; taking care of your nails and relaxing you during your mani/pedi.

Knocking down a star cuz its a bit pricier than other area nail salons usually I can get a good experience for about $25, and this place I paid closer to $35. Still amazing though- the guy who took care of my nails paid more attention to my hands and nails than I have seen anyone done before. His attention to detail paid off, I really appreciate he took care of my hands so well. The front desk experience was pleasant as well- the girl was kind and accommodating to my schedule and I was able to come in on a Friday evening after work. Would definitely come here again.

You get what you pay for. Sure there are places that charge *slightly* less, but here, you get incredible hospitality, an immaculate workspace, and high quality. Here’s the big difference: appointments. It’s not like other places. When I walk into my appointment, I’m taken immediately, I’m not sitting waiting for a half hour because they double or triple booked. They take walk-ins IF they can to ensure appointments are kept. That’s what has made me a loyal customer. My time is valuable and this place recognizes that.

Place is clean .. price is reasonable front desk staff are friendly . If you want to get dip Mani Amy and Ella are good.But only problem is the good ones never stay. Thats why I cant give this place a 5 star.

Got a pedicure. Many precautions in place, everything is disinfected, plastic covers, disinfectant and temperature check. Great job done on my toes !!

I really love this place. I’ve been getting gel manicures and regular pedicures and I’m consistently pleased with the results. Ashley does a wonderful job with my nails and is always very thorough. I will definitely keep coming back!

I came to ManiMe to get a gel manicure. The interior of ManiMe is beautiful. It’s clean and fresh and overall a nice environment. My nail technician did a very thorough job with my nails and was very sweet. Unfortunately it was too thorough because my cuticles were left raw and four of my nails had small cuts on the cuticle area.I would have ignored this except less than a week later my nails started chipping and even worse... the color started changing. I have light pink nails except for some reason the ends are turning orange. I’ve never had this happen before so I am very disappointed.Overall I also think the prices are outrageous. $38 for a gel manicure and it doesn’t last more than a week? Not exactly worth it.

I went in to get my nails done, the place looks great. The lady at the front desk was nice, smiling and friendly but the girl who did my nails wasnt. She was making faces and when she asked me something that i didnt understand and i asked her twice she rolled her eyes at me. I know people have bad days at work but this is a kinda job that requires them to give good service to customers. I have been to a lot of nail salons in this area and this to me was the worst customer service experience ever !!You guys really need to work on that. A smile goes a long way.

The salon looks nice, but the services performed were below average. For what I received, I would consider Mani Me overpriced. Also, they don’t accept American Express and gave major attitude when I asked to put the tip on my credit card (I don’t often carry cash with me). Once they begin taking American Express, I will consider returning. You don’t take my card, you don’t get my business.

The best!I called them to reschedule because of an emergency at work and they made due and let me come ASAP because I’m going to Miami the day after. Super patient and professional! Love their salon and flexibility 10/10 would recommend ❤️❤️

The nail salon its really clean and modern. The girl at the front desk very accommodating, however the technician who did my nail was very rude. My toes got messed up a bit and she was making weird sounds when I told her. I spent 62 dollars and my nails looks horrible. I will not go back and I do not recommend people to come here.

Super clean and very friendly staff. The place is gorgeous and I love the modern feel. The collagen gloves was a nice touch. One suggestion would the be pricing. A bit overpriced in comparison to other similar spa services in the area. I would only return for special occasions.

I had such a great time here. When I walked in, I was shocked by how spacious and clean everything is. I was greeted by the front, Fiona was so lovely. She offered if I wanted any water or coffee, and when I had questions about nail color or brands, she was so patient and answered all my questions. I couldnt even pick out what color I wanted, she helped me pick a lovely color and Im satisfied with! Leo took care of me, I felt so pampered and he took his time. He gave me a back massage after he was done with my gel mani, and I was practically falling asleep. I enjoyed my experience overall, and would come back again!

My girlfriend comes to get her nails done here all the time. Staff is super friendly and nail techs really take their time and make sure they do a good job. Front desk always offer coffee or tea and are good conversation whenever I sit in the front and wait.

Friendly and very detailed oriented staff. Also extremely clean and spacious. The price is kind of high but there are weekly discounts and for the service you get it is worth the price. Definitely returning every month even if I move out of metuchen.

On the plus - The place is very clean and neat. They dont keep you waiting when you have an appointment.However, I didnt like this place very much. Felt too rushed and hence the whole purpose of it was lost. I was on time for my 45 mins pedi which I was done in less than 20 mins. It is very expensive for the time spent. I would think twice before coming back to this place.

My girlfriend came to ManiMe to get a gel manicure and aesthetically ManiMe is beautiful. Unfortunately the gel manicure was “ the worst gel manicure I’ve had”. Her cuticles were left raw and a day later cuts appeared. In a week one of her nails chipped and the coat is so thick it doesn’t look nice. For 38$ this place is not worth the looks.

Okay, hear me out. First, I just want to expand on the fact that I love this nail salon. The environment was great, it’s definitely an upscale set up, the employees were absolutely amazing with the BESSST hospitality and customer service. The massages were phenomenal (it was included with my pedi) Mind you, I only went there for a pedicure. Now, you may ask why I only gave 3 stars... wellll I usually pay about $10 for pretty great pedicure from other places, but here I paid $27 just for a regular pedicure... they still had potential to get 5 stars out of me but I’m looking at my toes and it doesn’t look like a $30 job. Please don’t get me wrong they are amazing and I recommend them to everyone that can afford that every 2 weeks. But I’m more experienced with pedicures and I know how an amazing pedi looks... this was more on the ehh side. I can see the swipes from the brush and it just isn’t the neatest pedi I’ve had. I was so shocked when she said $27 lol. Snatch my Aldo bag and call me broke, but that’s just too much for a pedicure (in my opinion) I know this is a lot to read but I’m thorough when it comes to expressing my observation. IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT, BY ALL MEANS, GO! They are amazing people! And the place is nice. IF YOU ARE TRYING TO BUDGET AND WANT A NEAT PEDICURE, it’s a no. Sorry. But if you wanna splurge for s special occasion, you wanna be fancy, or you have it to spend like that... go for it.

Anna went above and beyond giving my 5 year old granddaughter a mani-pedi!

Was hesitant because it was a little pricey for a pedicure but was worth every penny, best pedicure I’ve ever had.

When you first walk in here it looks super clean and sleek and they have a nice selection of nail polish. But after being in there for almost THREE HOURS for a basic mani and pedi the first impression fell short. Once you get past the desk you go sit down for your pedicure on a bench that feels like it should be in a library. Totally upright and uncomfortable, and no massager.Then i sit down for a mani. I had gel on, so for most places no big deal. It took 30 minutes to get the gel off. No automatic buzzer to remove the gel, and they just stuck all my fingers in a bowl of acetone, unlike in other places that place acetone soaked cotton directly on the nail. My hands were dipped in that 3 times!The collagen gloves and feet wraps just could not make up for the other short comings. I won’t be back.
