I have been going to Fitness Connection for three weeks now. I absolutely love my experience so far. The facility is clean and all of the employees have been beyond kind and considerate. Just starting out I am comfortable working out in the separate part of the gym dedicated for women only.This a gym I can definitely see myself going to long term!

Half of the machines in there have been broken for months now. Literally months! Also there is only three water fountains and two of them have been out of service for 4 weeks now. I understand machines break sometimes but it’s unacceptable that they stay broken for months. Do better.

The staff here are amazing, friendly, and the best 👌🏾. Overall the gym is Great. Spacious and lots of equipment . The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because We are located in Dallas, home of the DallasCowboys and they will play every game on TV instead of the Cowboys or Dallas Mavericks ‼️ I dont like that.Help

I typically do not leave many reviews on anything but this definitely deserves recognition. Yesterday I had an amazing employee by the name of Lexi willingly and enthusiastically helped by going the extra mile. Not only was she kind, caring and attentive but she was extremely supportive! Super excited to be a part of fitnesses connection especially with someone like her on the team !

Great gym! Great price! It has a nice kids area, personal trainers, classes, lots of treadmills, clean workout equipment, locker rooms, showers, sauna, a basketball court, & womans private gym area w/theatre! Cant beat it...

Overall great gym just do NOT pay for a physical trainer. My trainer stopped showing up (she was the best) with no heads up, we had to go up to the front desk and let them know. About 20 mins later (cutting into my workout time) we got a different trainer...from that day forward we had different trainer almost everyday, making my workouts so inconsistent. They really didn’t push me to do my best like my first trainer did.You would think if you are paying 100$ a month for this service you would actually get what you paid for but I guess not. I ended up canceling because THEY were NOT consistent and unfortunately I still had to pay a percentage of the remaining months.

Great staff, friendly environment. When you sign up for a trainer they use a 3rd party (Paramount) to draft payment so you can’t cancel easily (30 days notice) or get a refund through fitness connection directly. I tried to cancel twice, first time I was told it was cancelled over the phone but payments kept drafting. 2nd time I attempted to cancel they persuaded me to try a different trainer (previous trainer didn’t like to come in early). I have paid at least $500 in personal trainer fees that should have been 12 training sessions and I had maybe 3-4. When I reached out to the trainer he said he would check his schedule and never got back to me. I hope this last (3rd) attempt at cancelling works. KC was very empathetic and assured me it was cancelled.

Very clean and organized (at least in comparison to the red bird lane location). It does get very busy, as any gym would around opening and closing times. Front desk has always been kind, courteous, and knowledgeable. Good weekend hours 👌🏾

For a gym that is only $10 a month it is not too bad. The only thing I dislike about this specific location is that it gets too busy and a lot of their machines are taken up by people who are simply on their phones not doing anything at all. It has six courts so this is the place for you if you want to play basketball and its pretty rare for all of them to be taken up at once. Jonathan and Tabitha are amazing front desk associates who make me feel welcome whenever I enter.

Just wished some of the machines were kept with good maintenance. Some of the bikes have broken pedals and the interior of chain case its cracking.

This gym always feels so musty. The front desk staff is always super kind. But hardly anyone in the building wears masks (not like they ever enforced them), nothing feels clean, and the weights are the most unorganized i’ve seen of any gym so you’re often hunting for them in the weight area. If you can afford it, definitely look at other gyms because fitness connection might be one of the cheaper ones but you’re trading off an organized, clean gym for one that prioritizes selling the most memberships they possibly can regardless of how many they could actually fit.

I joined this gym club today! I was shown the facility by Jonathan. He was specifically engaging in talking about the workout area and zone points. He explained the womans area, food and smoother area and what the membership consists of. This seems to be a great place to work out and gave off great vibes.

Its a really good place to work out they have all equipment you need and the staff are very courteous.

So my wife and I came there to check out the gym on 4-13-2021... the place next to it for kitchen grill was amazing. Fitness connection looked amazing but while we were waiting on our food a fight broke out that involves two people the worst part is that 20-40 people came out of the gym as well egging it on. One of the gentlemen there with a black fitness connection shirt was out attempting to stop it but the staff at the desk did nothing, no calls to the police, they didn’t threaten to revoke membership status to the people involved and this ultimately put a super bad taste in our mouths regarding our experience. Even in a year after our current membership with another gym is done we will not be coming to fitness connection. You guys need to do much better.

Always a great place to work out. Friendly and knowledgeable staff... so much equipment to choose from...

I love this gym so much. I go at 6 am usually every other day so it’s not packed during that time at all. It’s huge and has a lot of equipment.

I always enjoy working out here. However, I am really excited they decided to reopen the kids club now that COVID has slowed down.

I have been a member at Fitness Connection for over 4 years. This location and the one I went to in North Austin are by far the biggest and nicest Fitness Connection locations Ive ever been to. The staff are quite friendly and professional. Essentially, every article of workout equipment at this Mesquite location was new or functioning well. This location also has a basketball court, a cafe area, and many more amenities that I was unaware of. I definitely recommend signing up with them if you are only planning on primarily working out at this location. Avoid the Garland location on Shiloh and Buckingham at all costs.

One of the best gyms for the price. The equipment is relatively in good condition. At times the gym can get full of people but the environment in there is great. If the sauna was open I would rate it a 10/10

This place is perfect to me. I have two weeks coming without problems at all... the Kids Club is clean, the kids are always safe. The women workout area is perfect too, clean and everything working good.

I started working out 3 months. Jhon was very knowledgeable and assisted me on proper techniques on improving my working out. Definitely recommend!

I like it a lot, the womens restroom is always clean, the machines are clean, those at the front desk are very friendly, and its very clean even though thousands of people go a day, its the only thing I dont like about the gym, TOO MANY PEOPLE GO Sometimes there are no machines available they should be aware of who vacates the machines or have a control of how many people can enter depending on the machines what is available it is a very large gym very clean and all the staff all without exception are very friendly I attend to the gym from 8 pm to 10 pm all the staff at that time is wonderful clean showers changing rooms makes you feel comfortable, but I think I will go to another gym it is impossible to pay for there are never machines available and PEOPL DO NOT BRING MaskPlease make sure that people have masks, or keep their distances we are not done with the coronavirus yet, ENTER TOO MANY PEOPLE I will try to go to Planet fitness I hope there are fewer people, I love fitness connection but there are too many people from Monday to Thursday you can not even walk in the the machines very close to each other

Really great employees that help out when needed. Jhon answered all my questions seriously and gave me great advice about workout routines and healthy meals I can eat.

1.The place is so noisy, their music is super loud, specially in second floor. 2. They asked your bank account number to charge you, when your credit card doesnt work, that disrespectful, If you dont trust us, we dont trust you. 3. They charge you one mount extra, if you want to cancel, if you complain, they will say you made an agreement to this.4. This method of getting agreement is unethical, so they facilities doesnt worth it.

Everything is fine, the machines are in good condition, the only bad thing is the opening hours, they close very early, especially on the weekend, its the only thing I dont like.

Ok, the only issue is staff in kid club yelling at the kids for no reason

Fitness connection offers a free day pass for new ones when I brought my friend to check it they charged him $15 dollars!Lady in the front was extremely rude about it,Go to a different one but not this one unless you want to be judged upfront.

This place is trash, I’ve sent several letters talked to several supervisors and managers, and even physically gone to the location. Guess I’ll have to change my entire bank account so you guys will just leave me alone.

TLDR: For how hard it is to cancel when you leave this gym, how little availability there are for these gyms around my area/the country, the hours, the Lack of cleanliness and organization and lack of effort from staff, I decided not to go with Fitness Connection. Decided to try planet fitness instead for now and eventually go with 24 hour fitness as they offer the same exact things but at a higher price and with better hours.Place was super dirty, half the people there were not aware of what they were doing and mostly there to either get the job done or mess around and waste time. Front staff was a bit rude, tried to sign up and they didn’t want to accept my passport ID because it wasn’t a local ID, no reasoning beyond that. Guy at the front desk told me my trial membership would help me decide if I wanted to sing up or not, after the first day I knew didn’t.I have had multiple friends sign up and they enjoy planet fitness but they also disliked the mesquite location, said it was not up to the standard that their other gyms were but at times it was the only one nearby.Used the cardio machines and some weights and called it a day. There were many machines broken and badly spaced out as well as weights unorganized and left out. Sauna was shut down but didn’t really need to go visit it. The basketball court was nice, liked the availability of the cycling classes and the kid care while working out, but most of the stuff there was unavailable or affected negatively by COVID restrictions. The other thing is the hours are very inconvenient, not 24 hours while other places are, makes it hard to really decide on this place over better alternatives

A lot of disorder, the weights are always messy and another thing, I signed up because it was 24 hours and now only regular hours, I think Ill move to another gym

During this pandemic that we are currently having the gym is a good place to keep your mind off it. Let me just say that This gym is very good and on top of everything. When you first enter you are welcomed and they check your temperature. Then you go to the front desk and they greet you and you feel welcomed. After that you can enjoy your work out and get those gains. This place is my favorite due to the vast amount of equipment they have. I recommend this place to anyone that is Serious about getting fit and staying safe during the pandemic. One thing that I forgot to mention use gloves when on a machine.

Worst nightmare, after 3 years they still drawing money out my account. Do not go there policy sucks. One star is to much for them. Stay away from gym memberships. Here is the prof that they still drawing money out my account.

Try to come when the kids club is closed. A lot of the ladies with children (NOT ALL) hog the equipment, don’t re rack and talk for days! So inconsiderate of them. A lot of us come to workout which is the purpose after all.

I think this gym is great! I’m giving it 3 stars only because of 2 reasons.1) I understand that they’re taking precautions to keep people at a distance from each other and that’s why they label the equipment as not working and that’s understandable. I also noticed that there’s USUALLY 2 of the same equipment. For example, they’ll have 2 of the same ab machines so they label one as NOT working and the other one IS working, that’s great! but then they have those very few machines that is just that ONE machine in the entire gym that targets that particular muscle you’re trying to workout and they’ll label THAT machine as NOT working. Like really? Lol Whhhhhy!?!? So In the women’s room they have 2 INNER thigh machines(one available and the other isn’t) and then ONE OUTER thigh machine and it’ll be labeled as NOT working. Kinda frustrating, like come on guys, at least make sure there’s 2 of each machine before labeling the very few ones as NOT WORKING.2) It hasn’t gone to 24hrs yet. Again I can KINDA understand why that hasn’t happened. It’s frustrating for me because of my schedule (and I’m sure for others as well who are in a similar situation) I work the night shift, so on my days off when I would usually be at work I would go to the gym but since they’re still not 24hrs yet, I’ve been going with a friend of mines to her gym that IS 24hrs, PLANET FITNESS. There’s other gyms that are open 24hrs now like PLANET FITNESS and ANYTIME FITNESS. I really hope you’ll consider being 24hrs soon.Other than those 2 reasons I mentioned, FITNESS CONNECT is a great gym.

During this pandemic going back into the old good routines has been hard. I was iffy at first about going back to the gym but its be great. The area is always clean, there is always paper towels and disinfect spray available. Yes its hard working out with a mask on but something is better than nothing.

Workers are always polite and the locker room and restroom are always clean.

Cool place to work out! Cant wait till the sauna & kids room open again though

Was there in March 1st and got assaulted by Leon who is a security personal and some other members in side the gymnasium, they where violent and disrespectful, treated me inhummaine, they put me in a neck choke, I couldn’t breath or talk, than they tree my stuff out side and threw me out, no one deserves to be treated like this For not wearing a mask. I’m taking legal action.

The staff is very friendly and helpful and the costumer service is great. Spoke to the manager Monica about my account and she was very helpful and explained everything in detail. Her personality was very joyful and her costumer service was great!! Such a joy to see her and always making me feel welcomed. They have all kinds of machines and free weights, great place to workout at. Its a big gym that provides classes, childcare, basketball court and also a sauna 👍👍👍 I recommend it.

I WAS content with the gym. Until I moved cities... Ive sent TWO written letters to cancel my membership and Im still paying for three accounts for two months. This is the most incompetent company Ive dealt with. I see here that if you dont pay they will seek collections. Wow. Poor business ethics and owners. I hope they see this concern and respond promptly...will keep this thread updated.Fitness connection social media team, do not bother responding unless you have an actual fix for this matter and SEVERAL other customers.Thanks,a valued customer**UPDATE**I attempted to go with a guest even though I validated that, that particular gym allowed guests via the website. It tells you what gyms do and which dont. Thank God I was finally able to cancel my membership in person after two years of paying two memberships because of their refusal to work with a member that no longer lives in the city.

Love coming at 9am when it’s less crowded and not as many kids so my children don’t get overwhelmed by so many kids that they can’t play enjoyably. Yes a lot of people come here but they have more than enough machines for everyone and left over. Lots of cardio for moms like me that just want to lose weight before building anything up. I did 10 dollars down and I only pay 20 every 1st which is beneficial to me because I have 3 kids so finding and paying childcare can be a bit tricky for me. Love love love it here.

The only thing i wish they still had was the hand sanitizer stations....please bring them back.

I love Fitness Connection its a great place to work out. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Since the reopening with the covid19 pandemic they have been very aware of the members and staff safety. Checking your temperature at the door and scanning your own badge at the desk. Also the cleaning staff are walking around constantly wiping down the equipment.

There is so much equipment to use that getting a workout in is never a problem. The staff is kind and courteous. It is always a pleasure to come in get my work out on and leave satisfied knowing the staff will address any concerns or questions I may have. Monica especially is always a pleasure to interact with. She is friendly, courteous mild-mannered, and very professional.

Glad to be back in the gym after 2 years! The staff is wonderful and the facility is pandemic ready!

This gym is fantastic. Its massive with plenty of equipment, while still being only 10 dollars a month. Thats cheaper than most gyms that have the same equipment. They are also open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Extremely disappointed with this gym. I called earlier this year to freeze my account, then spoke with someone else to have it canceled seeing as I hadnt been to the gym since the start of the pandemic back in March. I looked at my recent bank statement and fees were taken out in October and November plus the yearly fee was also taken out. I lost my job and cannot afford that money being taken out so I called but the lady I spoke with told me there was nothing they could do because my account only showed that it was frozen not canceled. She said if I could prove it was supposed to be canceled they could refund. I never recieved an email plus I no longer have that email account since it was a work email account. So now Im out all that money. To make matters worse, after I told her to cancel my account, again, she said ok but that fees would still be pulled for December!!!

I had to cancel my gym membership due to not being able to afford it. Went in person to cancel and the guy who helped me was very jive and understanding but failed to mention I would still get billed one more time. Called to see why I was charged and Johnathan was so disrespectful! I said I was glad I was no longer with them and his response was We are too. That not ok and the worst customer service I have ever in my life experienced! Never would I ever recommend this gym to ANYONE! Not even my worst enemy! 👎🏻

The gym is literally always packed so theres hardly ever space to park near the gym. Also due to covid a lot of people are canceling their membership or placing them on a freeze however once the freeze is lifted and you choose to go ahead and cancel they bill you one last time before you go smh

Ive been a member at Fitness Connection for about a year and had a good experience in that time. However, everything has gotten SUPER shady now that Im trying to cancel mine and my husbands memberships.We moved 20 minutes away to an apartment complex with a free gym and free fitness classes, so we have no need for a gym membership. I followed FCs instructions and mailed in a letter (a 30 day notice) in mid-December because we were moving in mid-January and figured that would be perfect timing.I called the first week of January to see if the cancellation notice was documented on my account (just to be safe) - it wasnt. They said it can take 2-3 weeks for a letter to be processed and posted on an account and to call back the next week. So I waited and called again only to be told that they were running behind on cancellations due to the holiday season and to wait another week and call back again. So I just called back for the 3rd week in a row only to be told that they definitely dont have a cancellation letter from me and that I need to mail another one. Which can take 2-3 weeks to process BEFORE my 30 day notice goes into effect.So I asked to speak to a manager and was told that she isnt available but that I can leave a voicemail, which will be returned within 24-48 BUSINESS hours. As in, 3-6 business days. Clearly, the goal is to keep me paying for my unused membership as long as possible.I hate that this cancellation process has ruined my experience with the gym. I used to recommend the gym to friends and wouldve considered going back in the future but now I feel quite taken advantage of.

Best gym in the area. Clean, affordable, lot of equipment and workout areas. Love the Womens gym. So glad I joined. And, the smoothie from Fit Factory, after the workout, was just what I needed. I was more pleased with how the are taking many COVID 19 precautions.
