The Manager Kevin Hammann is the absolute WORST..!!! How do they employ a lowlife like this..?!? He has CONTINUALLY raised my storage rent after the pandemic started. From $69 a mo to a $94.95 notice I got today *(citing maintenance fees). This guy has acted EXTREMELY Rude to me in the past to a PERSONAL level.. No need to YELL AT YOUR CUSTOMERS Kev. Units leak water & he denied maintenance to have leaks fixed. They are also Rat Infested. I have never been treated more poorly at any business. I hope people keep speaking out about his lack of professionalism & HE Struggles from joblessness during the pandemic.

Best Uhaul I’ve ever been to and I move a lot. I tried returning a car trailer early and no other location was open or would allow me to but this location was very accommodating and allowed me to leave it with them.

Worst customer service ever. Kevin the general manager couldnt care less about customers. I was asked for a secondary phone number and I asked why. Ive rented from them dozens of times and have never had to give one before. with no attitude from me, he yells from the next counter, If you cant give me a number then get out of here. why would you ever tell a customer that. Go to any other uhaul but this one.

Nice spot to rent a truck. I reserved a small truck for a move but they didn’t have any so they gave me a larger one for free. I would read the terms really closely because originally I wanted a 24 hour rental but there ended up being a lot of associated fees. If you’re using the truck for an afternoon, you’re fine. But if you need it for longer, really pay attention to the fine print so you don’t have to deal with any extra fees.

I had an employee rental at Budget that I booked weeks in advance for my family move and they left me completing hanging. No truck, no care by Alan from Budget. Kevin over at Uhaul was able to get me a truck within 15 minutes and made it even more affordable than the company I work for, saving the day for my wife and I. Thanks, Kevin - major props.

I was waiting at another neighborhood dealer but it didn’t sit well with me so I called this one if I’m correct it was a young gentleman named Jacks or Jackson but he was very attentive informative and made my son’s and I experience very pleasant it was straightforward he took the time to explain everything and pointed out the contract clearly he also would stop to ask us if we had any questions I highly recommend them it made our move feel less of a burden and stressful ❤️

I have used another company before and had a good experience but wanted to see all my options before I made my reservation for a moving truck. I was blown away by this wonderful U-Haul store and had SUPERB help from Des the Assistant Manager. He answered EVERY question I had and was not annoyed at all. He gave me priceless advice on my upcoming move, and made me confident that I could handle doing it myself. Des gave exceptional service and had more knowledge about the company and products available than I would have ever expected. I appreciate the one on one time and his patience with me. I AM CHOOSING U-HAUL FOR MY UPCOMING MOVE! This location is where I will recommend all my friends and family regardless if it is farther just so I know they will be taken care of by Des. They were very helpful with everything that I needed. They went out of there way to ensure we were taken care of. They asked for us to take a trailer with us to our next destination as a favor. They also hooked it up with free ratchet straps because we needed them and were doing them a favor. They were also very helpful when we told them we needed a storage unit and ensured we got the best rate.

Had a great experience picking up a car hauling trailer. Had done the online check in, so time at the desk was short. Kevin, the GM took care of me. He hooked up the trailer and demonstrated exactly how to load the car up safely. The trailer was brand new too. Loading and use of the trailer for a 2000 mile drive was easy. Appreciated the built in break system. I checked the straps for tightness every day, but the car seemed very secure even over rough roads.

Waited on hold for 10 minutes, never got to talk to anyone...

They LOST my U-box. They apparently keep no records as to their whereabouts. Nobody could tell me anything, and offered no help in resolving the situation. So it’s on to an insurance claim and legal action.

These guys are professional, courteous, and so efficient. I came in today frazzled and in hurry... they were very busy themselves, but so great!! Ryan knows his stuff!!! Got me in and out fast. And so knowledgable! Will use again for sure.

We came here to by packing supplies. Kevin, the manager, waited on us both when we bought the boxes and when we returned the unused boxes (they buy back the ones you dont use). He was extremely helpful, helped us choose the right type of dish packing box, and he seemed to truly enjoy his job. He was so easy to deal with. Would highly recommend this location in particular.

Great location and services face to face. Ive rented from here multiple times. But whoever runs their phones at this location is completely unprofessional. IF I HEAR THEM PURPOSELY HANG UP MY CALL ONE MORE TIME I AM WRITING A HUGE LETTER TO CORPORATE AND THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU !!! Not to mention this same person has made my reservation at the wrong location twice before! Excellent service face to face...horrible office workers.

Rented truck online, they left a key to the wrong truck on the lockbox. So I was unable to log return, kept truck to speak to a rep in morning. Get this call from owner at 9am who youd think would have customer service skills only to be yelled that and accused (still within my 24 hr). This was their mistake. Its already a waste of time to have to come back and now I have to almost convince them they messed they reservation. This is a great place to rent if you are a fan of being treated like garbage by no less than the owner. Never again.

Went to fill 4 forklift propane tanks, was told all were expired and one was broken, went to Arizona propane to have them recertified, they said only one was expired and all 4 were in good working order.

DO NOT order a truck or van online. I did and it canceled it automatically and did not notify me. Make it easy on your self and go to Home Depot and rent a van or truck from them. Not sure if all of them offer rentals but one on Power Rd and Superstition Springs Blvd does.

The manager at this location was one of the rudest managers I have ever come across in any store I have ever shopped at.He needs a lesson in customer relations. Your goal is to build customers, not lose them.You definitely lost my business, but luckily I found a manager at another U-haul who was able to resolve my U-haul problem, while earning and keeping my business.

If I could give a negative 5 star review for these clowns here I would.. 1st time of rental they over charged my cc and said the gas was way under what I left it at.. 2nd and last rental attempt guy called me a lier to my face about a second phone number actually threatened me with violence after he refused to rent to me didnt even ask about the phone number! After asking for a good truck because I was moving and had children in tow. After loading truck find out it has no air conditioning. In AZ thats a must. They made no attempt to compensate for this horrible truck. Guys at counter were more interested in eating then listening to my concern with truck...

Staff can be a bit arrogant depending on who is in. They are not great with customer service, however, they arent rude either.Staff could work on professionalism as the guys working when I came in, portrayed an attitude of dislike for their job duties.Over all the equipment/trucks were in great condition and energy efficient

Today I went to the 447 W Broadway and Country Club location in Mesa, AZ to pay for and pick up my U-Box. I had called 3 times prior to ensure our U-Box would be available for pickup. I specifically asked if it would be okay for me to bring a check as payment to the store when I picked up the U-Box and the call center assured me this was fine. I made arrangements to pick up and pay on 09/06/2017. When I arrived, we were helped by a young man, who informed us our box was NOT there. He also informed me that he was doing us a big favor by even accepting the check, since he wasnt really supposed to anyway. I was obviously upset and while he did the best he could for us, I saw the general manager and asked to speak with him. He blew me off and went to the young man to ask what my problem was. He refused to talk directly to me until I continued to question him. He was incredibly rude to me, informed me that no one told me my box would be available today and if the call center said that, they had no idea what they were talking about because they dont even work for the store. He informed the worker to just send them down to the Tempe store (where our box was stored) and let that store deal with them (meaning my husband and myself). He indicted to him that he didnt want to deal with us and then said its 2 or maybe 10 minutes down the road, just go there and dismissed us. He made several other rude comments that I feel were intended to make me feel stupid and at fault for this issue. I apologized to the worker for being upset and thanked him for trying to help us. We will absolutely NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN and will recommend to our family and friends to avoid using them as well. As a customer, paying $1,473 for my U-Box to be shipped from Ohio to Arizona as well 2 truck and trailer rental fees (to load and unload the box), a U-Box fee, and various other fees and taxes, I expected to be treated like a valued customer. Instead, I am wasting my time running all over the place to locate this box and will have to refill the truck with gas to and from a further location. Absolutely unacceptable.

I needed a trailer wire conversation done on my SUV. I spent the last 2 days dealing with rude trailer shops who didnt want to do anywork that wasnt plug and play and charge me for hours of work in the process. This Uhaul location was a breath of fresh air. They didnt have any problem with getting my vehicle re wired that day. I really appreciate their great service and great prices compared to their competition.

Customer Rep was not friendly, not helpful, could not explain the insurance coverage, did not explain charges and went straight to total asking to swipe credit card, and did not ask if I needed any supplies.At the time of rental, I informed rep I would most likely be dropping off trailer after hours and was told by rep that returning the unit after hours was not a problem and I would not be charged another day. The day after returning the unit, I received my invoice via email and I was in fact charged another day and the rep I spoke to was rude and said there was nothing I could do to get a refund and it is what it is. Will never rent from this location again.

Wow, where to begin. When we got there it was okay, the manager even though he was arrogant helped us out. Wasnt even a quarter tank of gas in the truck we rented. Lol how lazy. When we returned the truck one employee was lazily helping a customer, and there was a line of 5 people. Finally the master of defication comes strolling out of the bathroom to help us out. All it took was one time for this location to lose more than a decades worth of loyalty from me. Over boxes. Refusing to honor the lower price online- I worked for Uhaul for years and know they could have given that price, but 9cents was worth more than a customers loyalty. Sadly, that seems to be a larger part of their culture as a corporation. They put on a good face, but really- its all about what they can get from you and how much they can take. The new GM of this location has a very different outlook than the previous 7. This location used to be the best store Uhaul had in the valley- now- Ill go somewhere else.

Poor customer service. The attendant acted like he didnt care. Did not say a word to me after pulling the truck up and when I dropped it off he didnt say anything either. No thank you or bye or anything, just took the keys and ignored me. That kind of service makes me less likely to rent there because if there are any issues obviously he is not the type to accommodate.

This place is chronically short staffed. Either change that by hiring help or close your doors. Rudest people work here. Providing poor service as a standard is a poor standard.

We have used this uhaul for years to get propane and the service has never been great, but it was especially bad today.Get the propane that part was fine, but to get cashed out was a nightmare. Took almost 15 minutes just to cash me out. Then the kid gives me the wrong change, I corrected him and he still shorted me $4! Didnt want to be a jerk and make the other 7 people waiting to be taken care of wait until he figured it out, so i just left.

I’d give it a zero star if I could. Manager there was not helpful at all. Absolutely ridiculous. If you’re going to rent a trailer just find one for rent on Craigslist or Facebook marketplace

This Uhaul location left a false e alert on my profile so I cant rent a Uhaul. Its now all taken care of but the reason they made up these false accusations is because I left them bad review after my rental. It took us an hour to get the Uhaul that day and about 30 minutes or so at drop off. Never going there ever again. If I get another 3 alert $100 says this place did it again. Take a bad review and work on getting your place of business better. Not by making up false accusations to get them banned. Terrible terrible Uhaul right here. Never ever coming back!

Had the most terrible experience. Called in for my reservation to be ready. Get to the place and the truck i reserved was out of serivce. Being the first person there, we had to pace around for an HOUR; employee wanted to correct me and say it was only a 50 minute wait. I would say pretty damn close to an hour. However, just pacing back and forth and looking out windows made it feel 2 hours. I then talked to Uhaul customer service who said that if it was not busy and I was the first person at the Uhaul, it should have taken NO MORE than 20 minutes. Then no one explains to me that the total is actually not a total, it is an estimate. Im new to this so i had no idea rental places did this. It would have been nice if someone explained it to me. I was in such a rush after an hour wait (trying to get to my destination before it closed) i just shoved my contract into my purse. Then days after find out i was charged 30 dollars extra. Everything sucked.
