Great service from the technician and he took the time to come inside and speak to me about my van. Amy is a very personable service writer. She gave me excellent customer service and she didnt mind that I came in with a coupon. I was so impressed with service and overall experience I brought our truck in for service a few days later.Thank you

On 5.3.2021 I brought my car to this aamco believing they were transmission experts capable of helping me find out issues with my car. Unfortunately, after 4 hours with my car they told me plenty of supposed issues with everything but my transmission. This was actually good news, at the time, because I had feared I was in need of a new transmission. However, I left with no answers for the problems my car was facing, and paid them $130 to keep my car all day forcing me to miss work and getting me no further ahead of my problem.Fast forward to today I brought my car to a mechanic to try to get some answers. It took them only a couple hours to call me and tell me my transmission needed to be completely replaced. It was running extremely hot and kicking my car into a safety mode that was leading to my loss of power in my car. I find it baffling that a place like AAMCO claiming to be transmission experts was unable to identify this issue.Thankfully I was able to find a mechanic who is actually capable of doing their job. I would not recommend this AAMCO to anyone in need of car assistance. They simply will not help you. However, the front office women Amy is wonderful to work with. So there is a bit of good in them. They just need better mechanics.Overall. Do NOT go here.

Transmission went out in my 2003 Ford Ranger. I paid AAMCO $3,000 to replace it. It lasted almost 3 years. So essentially- $1,000 a year for the transmission.I took it in because its shifting rough & they were super nice & professional. They explained that their high quality transmissions are backed with a 12 month warranty. And they want another $3,000 for another transmission. If youre interested in paying A LOT of money (thousands of dollars) for a short term fix- this is the place for you!!If you expect more for your money- go somewhere else.Fool me once- shame onWont get a second chance wirh me.

Amy and the tech team there are awesome. Came in with a grinding 2nd gear and not holding gear and they were able to get this fixed very quickly and quality work. The vehicle runs great, the shift is smooth. I added a clutch and flywheel while there and more grip when engaging. The car drive like a new one. Price was very reasonable too. Throughout the repair process they were very communicative and they know their stuff. I strongly recommend trusting them with those costlier more sensitive repairs.

I had gone in with a check engine light already knowing I was potentially going to have to spend a lot of money. I have a car thats being discontinued so some parts are extremely hard to find. Between Amy the service writer doing everything she she could to hunt down the parts I needed, and the very skilled mechanics using his knowledge and expertise to get around some issues when parts werent even available, I walked out of their not spending nearly as much as I thought. Amy kept in contact with me and kept me in the know every step of the way. I never felt more confident about not only getting good quality work done, but also not getting screwed over. AAMCO completely overcharges customers. They said it is a “free diagnosis” but once we brought our car in they said we needed to pay $250 for a diagnosis. Thankfully we didn’t do it because another auto place said they up-charged us and he figured out the problem immediately and spent an hour with us telling us how to fix it ourselves so it was less expensive for us and that was completely free. This is not how to run a business for life-long customers because soon they will find out and go elsewhere. We will no longer be returning.

I am writing this review a few months after I have been to this location, but I feel that it still needs to said. My radiator cracked as I was driving by this location and seeing as it was going to over heat I pulled in to get it repaired. Once they did the inspection and gave me a quote. I was informed that the repair would cost me $945 dollars...... I was shocked seeing as while I was waiting for the inspection I had already priced how much just a radiator for my 2011 Durango would cost ($95 at auto zone down the street) and asked why the cost was so high. The manager informed me that it was a long job that took 8 hrs to accomplish. Now, I can and have replaced radiators on my vehicles before, and each time has only taken an hr or two to finish. So that is 400+ dollars an hr on labor. I then asked if I could have my coolant top off and headed down to AutoZone. 150 dollars later and 2.5hrs later (It was 110 degrees also I was tired, and slow that day in my defense) I had a new radiator installed in the AutoZone parking lot. This place will lie, and cheat you out of your money. Never, never, take your vehicle here.

My experience with AAMCODay 1: Brought my 2008 BMW in and asked for a diagnostic to see where it was leaking coolant. Free of charge they found it was the Expansion Reservoir, and wanted over $300 to fix it. Brought it home and fixed it myself for just $50. After this fix it started leaking somewhere else so I decided to bring it in again.Day 2: Brought it in, told him it was leaking somewhere else now. It took a 30 minute diagnostic and taking off covers but they found it was the water pump. They also found at this point that my driveshaft was out of place. Not wanting to do it myself I accepted there offer with an estimated cost of $1,369. They told me it would be done by the end of the day. At about 5:15 I got a call saying it wasnt ready because they didnt get the right part the first time. I asked if they could try and get it done that day because I needed my car the next day. Sure enough, I got a call at 5:50 saying it was ready and that they test drove it. After picking it up, I drove about 1/2 mile before my low coolant light came on, and pulled over to see if it was leaking still. I noticed the reservoir was low, so I poured more coolant in, and noticed that every drop of coolant I put in leaked right out of the bottom. I had to tow it back to AAMCO. Note that on this day they didnt say anything about my driveshaft needing replaced.Day 3: At this point I was so frustrated I had someone else go in for me. I took down my bad review from the night before to give them a chance to fix their mess up. After looking at the car they said that the hose that came off was the other side of the one they worked on as if after 135,000 miles that hose magically comes off after they work on the other side of the hose? Lol. Anyways, they were kind enough to fix the hose and put coolant in free of charge. They also noted that this time when driving the car it had a shake to it because it needed a new driveshaft. When we picked the car up, it wasnt even drivable anymore due to the front driveshaft being messed up. They wanted us to have them fix it for $450. We bought the part for $105 from OReillys and fixed it that next night.Summary: If you know anything about cars, youll realize how much this shop screws you over for such basic repairs. Yes they are honest, but there work doesnt always get done right the first time. I regret taking my car to this shop, and will never do it again. In response to your reply:Yes I agree that you need to charge more than its worth for profit. But going to AAMCO is like buying a $100 steak and then, it doesnt taste good, and it gives you food poisoning, leaving you sick for weeks trying to recover from it. The maturity level of this owner is unbelievable, commenting on every review trying to defend himself. Is that really what you look for when youre searching for a shop to fix your car??

My 2001 escape lost forward mobility, no D, 2, or 1 gear. I thought who do I take it to? AAMCO the transmission experts thats who! and so did. After they spent 8.25 man hours to remove and dismantle my transmission I was $1006.58 in the hole. They quoted me over $3600 for a rebuild, I naturally declined. After being threatened with a $50 a day storage fee, on top of my over 1K labor bill I gave in and went with American First Finacial, (144% APR) their preferred lender. That was mistake #2. The financing charge for that labor bill, no repairs made keep in mind, jumped to over $2400 after finance charges. If you trust my Google guide experience and rating then listen to my advice. AVOID AAMCO AT ALL COST! They are corporate thieves, and WILL, and I say again WILL, take you for a ride!!

Skippy just put it the 4l80e back together and never test drove the van. Right off the bat the transmission slammed into first and second, after 240 miles it lost Over-Drive.Then 436 miles it started blowing oil all over the rear. Skippy never called me about any problems and for 2,500.00 they should of Diagnosis this as the yoke was a cut one in the first place and that should of been the first clue after me telling him the yoke had to be cut by the last people that replaced the trans. The Rear Speed-O Gears on the end shaft should have been the second clue, this Rear Shaft was not for this application and should have been changed out.But it was done in a slap dash hurry. Not test driven even. So they could get out early on Saturday.Big clue was the speed-o is not at the rear and this rear shaft had that gear on the end which made it the wrong tail Shaft in the first place, but this and the Cut Yoke did not clue anyone in on the true problem it had, but they had no problem taking my cash.AAMCO did a great job getting my baby to purr again and runs like a bat out of Hell now Amy will help all she can and was a good sport dealing with me and my outrage of the first so called repair. Nick, the owner, and his team are honest and hard working folks that deserve your business. This was my second visit today. My dealership had given me a long list of needed repairs and issues, amounting to thousands of dollars. I thought it might be true given that I own a 12 year old Armada. Something told me to get a second opinion. I had them quote the same work, and they came in significantly under. They then took a closer look and to my shock, all that was needed was a simple AC hose replacement and more freon, no major oil leak etc as the dealer service had indicated. I walked out with paying 1/10th of what the dealer had quoted and insisted I needed. If youre looking for an honest and professional mechanic, for a fair price, this is the place to go.

In place less than a year.2. When responding to people the owner even when he is right sounds VERY sarcastic and unprofessional. If this is the real business owner he should reconsider how he responds to people even when he is correct.Things like this make good customers second guess the integrity of the establishment.Edit:Now the owner responds by saying he is jaded by reviewers like me who try to extort businesses with bad reviews. Maybe he doesnt understand what extort means. That implies that I wanted something from him which I didnt and never asked for. He also referenced my previous reviews which have ZERO bearing on this review in an attempt to discredit the review. In going over his response there is NO indication that he subscribes to the customer is always right approach. There is every indication that there are a lot of excuses when he disagrees with a review. Since you (owner) have no idea what kind of customer I am, do not prejudge. I said you didnt try to clarity in your response to those reviews and you didnt. That was a fair statement whether you liked it or not. You have MANY sarcastic responses on here not just one or two. How do you define good customers?? Are these the people who write you good reviews? Of course you deem them good, they make your business look good and support your statements. Anyone that disagrees with you is a bad customer. I was objective in my statements and offered a suggestion to make your responses appear more objective and fair. If you dont think you have room for improvement then again that something as well. If you are jaded maybe you should assign someone else to respond to reviews so that that your personal feelings do not come across in your professional responses and therefore appear more objective and businesslike. My review is not on your service, it is on YOU.Have you been in business 10 years or 33 years which is it? Im sure one of them is true but your lack or clarity is/was the issue from the beginning and still is. Maybe you should take a look in the mirror before you run to criticize people.

Had my transmission checked out here, told me it was going to be between $2400-3300 to repair it. They said the soft parts (clutches were burnt but everything else was fine.) The parts to do the repair as they said it needed would have cost me no more than $200... so I dont see where all the rest of the bill was going. It doesnt take that long in labor to cost upwards of 3k plus parts.I took it to another shop who told me they (AAMCO) never even cracked open the transmission. It was shot. Everything was destroyed. I was shown the parts... Center shaft, clutches, planetary gear, and overdrive system. The other shop (Harold and sons, in phx) got me a replacement trans, rebuilt it with a new torque convertor, all needed parts, and installed it for $1650. Been and main since Harold did the work.

I`ve been doing business at this location for a number of years now, without one problem. A couple of weeks ago, I couldnt get my pickup truck in any gear, so I left it in second gear and drove back down to AAMCO. I talked to Nick (the service manager), and told him what was wrong, and he and some of his crew got right on it and checked it out. It appeared the master cylinder, and most likely the slave, which meant the transmission would have to be remove to make the repair. I was looking at a 700.00 repair. Not long that same day, they called back and said the master cylinder which controls the clutch was not only defected, but the lines down to the slave had broken causing my clutch to go out. Turns out my bill was around 300.00. Trust me anyone else would have replaced them both, but theses guys are extremely honest, and very professional. I will still use them for years to come. Thanks AAMCO. Joe Stearman

Taking my Dads transmission apart, I learned what Aamco is all about. Saving money. My parents dont drive much and of course their warranty is out because of time. The rebuild on this transmission was gross negligence. No upgrades, siliconed the internal wiring harness because it was broke instead of replacing it with new, no bell housing bolts in the top of the transmission, and most important they left out the pump thrust washer. This transmission is lucky if it seen 15,000 miles on their rebuild. Needless to say all hard parts are damaged and will need replaced all because of a thrust washer that wasnt there.Montana Girl that knows how to rebuild a Transmission.

I love this Aamco. Ive been coming here for the past 6 years and wouldnt trust any other shop with my cars. I own a 1973 Chevelle Malibu and a 2014 Toyota RAV4. The 73 Chevelle has had its transmission rebuilt, shocks changed and reattached to the car since they completely fell off the car because of age. The brakes have been redone since they junk when i bought the car. These guys replaced the fuel pump and tubing when it completely went out and then gave it a full tune up with new plugs and wires. The Rav has had oil changes done and check engine light problems. All resloved without problems.I also had a 97 Chevy Lumina in which Mark let me know when it was time to get something new since the repairs would cost more than the car was worth. I also thought before that problem that the transmission was bad. however. when Mark and gang checked it out nothing was wrong with it. It happened that my column clicks to drive were off because of thw age of the car. They were homest and with mo charge to me dor their honesty. If you read the 1 star haters carefully youll find impatient people, who dont want to wait for honest work. Also, if they dont drive the car to find out whats wrong how can they fix it and if they dont drive it after how do they it works or the job is done. So yeah thats going to add miles to the car. And last time I checked people still cant see into the future. Well neither can your mechanic, untill they open the hood of your car and start looking into the problem.I would highly, highly recommend Mark and Crew!! They do amazing work and if you want your car to be fixed correctly and honestly this is the place you need to go. I would give a thousand stars if i could.

LOVE this shop! I bought a Living Social deal for 3 oil changes for $29. The last time I had an oil change it was at Sun Devil Auto in Sun Lakes and they informed me that I was leaking power steering fluid. They quoted me.... $2300 to replace the whole steering column, hoses, pump, etc. I wanted to cry, so I just kept replenshing the power steeling fluid with more fluid until I could get the $$ to replace it. When we took the car in to AAMCO for the oil change, I didnt mention the leak. When they handed the keys over they told me about the leak and said there was just a hole in the power steering hose and that my husband could easily replace it for about $100.00. They said everything else looked great! Sure enough, it took my husband 30 minutes and $100 and the car has been driving like a dream eve since... and that was a year ago!!! Thanks guys!!!!
