Great service and they are very prompt with their appointments. The quality of work is also better than most spots at the mall, I noticed that the products used at the meriden mall always either peels or chips very prematurely.Honestly, its a salon, for anyone complaining about a wait time, and you made NO appointment, youre delusional. I travel from out of state for their service....I wouldnt do that if they were rude.

Very unprofessional,Rude, and complained about the work that needed to be done (70$) by the way because the nails were too long. If he said he couldnt do them so be it but to be so rude to a customer in the in the process of having a service done... but he happily told the 135$ combined for both people. If I were there I would have left then and there but my mother wanted her nails done so my wife thought that staying was the lesser of 2 evils. Truth be told I JUST wish I was there!!!!

This is the only place I like to get my nails done! Its not always the most pleasant clientele and sometimes there is a wait, but its more than worth it! I love my girls Vicki and Cathy!

So some things never change (see my original review below) This afternoon I called to schedule a 5pm appointment for a fill and pedicure. They asked if I could come at 445. I wasnt taken until the 530. Its now 619, just finished pedicure and have to wait for someone to do my fill🙄 Took away another star. Might be time to start going somewhere elseTypically do a great job and are very friendly. Didnt give 5 stars for the following reasons: sometimes Ive had to wait quite a while even though I had an appointment, sometimes the price varies even though I had the same services previously, sometimes Ive asked for specific designs and have had something totally different done (example: went last week and asked for white snowflakes and silver sparkles but was given one white flower with black swirls and one area of silver), sometimes Ive said I have to be somewhere and theyve assured me I would be finished but then it takes much longer and Im late for my next appointment/event.

Always loved this place! Great staff excellent services from eyebrows to nails to pedis! Great prices! But you have to make an appt or get there right away! Or wait for the best of the best!!

I only go for eyebrows their color selection and nails could be better. Vicky is the best when it comes to eyebrows. Lynn is so rude and salty cause I prefer going to Vicky I don’t like Lynn at all her attitude is terrible.

Very accommodating and clean and safe service

I had acrylics done here and was happy with the shape and look, the gel color lasted for the full 2 weeks. My one disappointment is that the woman prepping my nails with the drill to smooth the surface used too much pressure. Each of my nails have grooves dug out of them and in places they are frighteningly thin and tender to the touch. I was planning to have a fill done, but didnt want to risk further damage having someone inexperienced assigned to me. I did call and make an appointment with Vicki because of all the praise on here, but because it was a busy day I was passed back and forth between 3 or 4 different women without being told any of their names.

First time getting a manicure here. I asked for a manicure and design. The wait wasn’t long at all, I picked my color and sat down. The lady did the basic - soak one hand while filing the other. Fine ... the problems I have are these ...1: after filing I washed my hands as directed and she walks over to the sink and just leaves a hot towel there. None of me coming back and her doing that before applying a lotion. I was told to do it myself.2: when I sat back down, she squirted cheap Walmart brand lotion on my hands and rubbed the top of each hand for about 2 seconds. That was my “massage” apparently.3: then I asked her to cover my nail with the paint fully. Several several times. It took her redoing my nails twice and me even having to change the color I picked - and me asking another worker to tell her to paint all the way up to my cuticle - for her to still NOT do it.4: after she painted my nails I had to tell her to cover the nails - finger by finger.5: my manicure was not pampering, not fun, and not relaxing and I just had surgery and haven’t had my nails done in many months.It cost me 22$ for a waste of an hour and 20 minutes.I won’t be going here again at all.

Started going here and I loved it, the place I went to before was a waste of money. Lynn ALWAYS has my nails looking amazing.

The only thing I didn’t like was the waiting but other then that they are fantastic and welcoming and take their time to make sure you like the outcome

Ive been going to TJ Nails for years and I only see Vicki. I always call ahead of time to make an appointment so I can avoid waiting. I have tried so many nail places closer to my house but the prices are outrageous. At TJ Nails I get a gel fill with a design for such a great price and Vicki is extraordinary talented.

I normally go here but I just recently went and the girl that usually does my eyebrows couldn’t and she does such a great job that I trusted someone else to do them because other people have before that did okay but this lady had no idea what she was doing!!! She thinned one eyebrow out so bad she cut them with scissors and they looked botched and she plucked the middle of one of my eyebrows blad she completely took the shape away from one of them and she shortened one and left one longer and she widened the middle of my eyebrows!!! So moral of the story never let anyone new do your eyebrows because as long as they get money they don’t care you knows how to do eyebrows! They’ll literally let a blind person do them and when I called back about it to let them know they shouldn’t have just anyone do eyebrows the lady who answered just laughed and then offered to fix them which wouldn’t make it better and then offered me my money back but that was just rude and unprofessional

The worst pedi ever! The lady didnt put any strength, she didnt rub or clean my feet right, I paid $40 for the worst job. She didnt paint the nails right either, you can still see the nail through the color. I HATE IT! DONT EVER GET A PEDI FROM THIS PLACE! TERRIBLE! Money wasted.

After arriving and being asked what service I wanted. I said I wanted a pedicure. 20 minutes later I still had not been serviced. So, I asked how long it would be and was told it would be Mother 15 to 20 minutes. I said, No I have no more time to wait so I left. Poor communication and a waste of time, I wont be returning.

They are rude have no manners went there at 5 they close at 7 I called before hand asked for prices they gave me the price and then I arrived my daughter walked in just to be kicked out being told that they were busy and telling her to come back the next day Poor communication on there behave they could have saved me the trip by telling me over the phone they were busy and would not be seeing anyone else for the day wasted my gas going there to have my daughter told she could not get service we will NEVER be going there again .

Waited for more than over an hour and half nail technicians kept taking everyone they knew ahead of me all i wanted was one nail done no design. Had to leave if not would of been there longer.

For 4 years my family and I have been going to TJ Nails in Meriden on Broad St. Today my mother and I walked in and Bill (one of the workers) was talking to a customer who said she didnt know why her newphews loved going to target so much rather than Walmart. Bill responded and I quote You want to know why because Target is for high class people White and Chinese and Walmart is for cheap people Black and Hispanics. Walmart sells crap bad quality and its only for cheap black and hispanics. Im sorry but i dont care what your prefrence is you do not discriminate any group no matter what. You guys have now lost my whole HISPANIC FAMILY that have been loyal to you guys for 4 years! Never again will I walk into TJ nails again.

About 2 weeks ago I took my daughter to do her manicure and draw eyebrows, I left her and came back in 2 hours ... my daughter came out crying they pulled out too much eyebrow even though she explained how she loved her and her nails were ugly very thick a style that I dont know uses . He said they were very uncomfortable we left because he already had to work. I called and they were rude we will not go there again. My daughter removed her nails coming home. Sad situation and a lot of anger for me 🥵😡.

The worst place I was able to visit was to remove the material and they have done it in the worst way, no matter how much I told him that it hurt, he kept trying to remove them by putting objects between one and the material that was going to be removed They were extremely weak and battered . I left with a courage and helplessness because of the pain in my nails and them as if nothing.

I really like this site. They serve me super well.
